In the face of adversity, believers are called to stand firm and trust in God's power and presence. As Joshua prepared to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, he was reminded to be strong and courageous, for God was with him (Joshua 1:9). This theme is echoed in Deuteronomy 31:6, where Moses exhorts the people to be brave, and in Psalms 31:24, where David urges the faithful to be courageous and wait on the Lord. The New Testament also emphasizes courage, as seen in 2 Timothy 1:7 and 1 Corinthians 16:13, where believers are encouraged to trust in God's strength and not be afraid.
