13 Bible Verses on Compassion

13 verses

The Bible teaches that believers are called to demonstrate compassion towards others, just as God shows compassion to humanity. In Ephesians, Christians are exhorted to be kind and forgiving, while in Mark, Jesus is moved with compassion towards the crowds, demonstrating God's heart for those in need. The apostle Paul encourages believers to clothe themselves with compassion in Colossians, and to bear one another's burdens in Galatians, as they themselves have received comfort from God in times of suffering, as described in 2 Corinthians. This compassionate attitude is a hallmark of the Christian life.
