Purpose of the Church

The purpose of the Church is rooted in the biblical mandate to spread the Gospel and make disciples of all nations, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20. According to Ephesians 4:12, the Church is also called to equip believers for ministry and build them up in their faith, that they may become mature followers of Christ. As stated in 1 Corinthians 12:27, the Church is the body of Christ, with each member playing a vital role in its functioning, and as Psalms 92:1 declares, it is a community that gathers to worship and give thanks to God. Through its worship, service, and outreach, the Church fulfills its purpose of glorifying God and advancing His kingdom on earth.
