Prophetic Dreams

10 sermons

In the Bible, prophetic dreams are a means by which God communicates with individuals, often revealing future events or divine messages, as seen in the experiences of Joseph, who interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh (Genesis 41:1-36), and Daniel, who interpreted the dreams of King Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 2:1-49). The Bible teaches that God can speak to people through dreams, as stated in Job 33:15, where it says, "In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men." Prophetic dreams are also mentioned in Acts 2:17, which quotes Joel 2:28, indicating that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit, and people will have prophetic dreams, among other spiritual gifts. Through these dreams, God guides and directs His people, as exemplified in Matthew 2:12-13, where an angel appears to Joseph in a dream, warning him to flee to Egypt with Mary and Jesus.
