Nurturing and Influence

1 sermons

The biblical concept of nurturing and influence is rooted in the idea that believers have a profound impact on one another's spiritual growth and development, as seen in Paul's exhortation to "encourage one another and build each other up" (1 Thessalonians 5:11). This notion is further reinforced by Jesus' teaching that his followers are to "love one another as I have loved you" (John 15:12), demonstrating the significance of mutual support and care within the Christian community. As the Psalmist notes, "the Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing" (Psalms 23:1), highlighting the importance of trusting in God's guidance and provision, which in turn enables believers to nurture and influence others in a positive and meaningful way, ultimately bringing glory to God. Through this process of nurturing and influence, Christians can experience spiritual growth and maturity, as they learn to trust in God's sovereignty and provision, as expressed in Romans 8:28, where Paul writes that "all things work together for good to those who love God."
