Judicial Blindness

Judicial blindness refers to the spiritual condition of being unable to see or understand spiritual truths, often as a result of sin or unbelief, a concept that is explored in various biblical passages. According to the Bible, judicial blindness can be a form of divine judgment, as seen in Isaiah 6:9-10, where the prophet is instructed to speak to a people who will not understand, and in Romans 11:25, where the apostle Paul writes about a hardness that has come upon Israel. This spiritual blindness is also addressed in 2 Corinthians 4:4, where Satan is described as the one who has blinded the minds of unbelievers, preventing them from seeing the light of the gospel. Through faith in Jesus Christ, however, believers can have their spiritual eyes opened to understand the truths of God's Word, as promised in Psalms 119:18, where the psalmist asks God to open his eyes that he may behold wonderful things in His law.
