This role is significant in Christian faith, as Jesus intercedes on behalf of believers, providing a direct link to God, as seen in Romans 8:34, where it is written that Jesus "is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." According to Hebrews 7:25, Jesus' priestly role enables Him to "save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him," emphasizing the importance of His mediatorial work.
