Direct Access

1 sermons

Direct access to God is a profound privilege granted to believers through Jesus Christ. In Hebrews 4:16, we are encouraged to approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that we can find mercy and grace in our time of need. This access is made possible by Christ's sacrificial death, as articulated in Ephesians 2:18, which states that through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. The veil that once separated humanity from the holy presence of God was torn at Christ's crucifixion (Matthew 27:51), symbolizing that believers can now enter into a personal relationship with God without intermediaries. Furthermore, 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us that we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, which emphasizes our direct relationship with God and our ability to intercede on behalf of others. In light of this, the sermon titled 'Don't Bother Me' challenges the notion that we should hesitate to approach God with our requests and burdens. Instead, we are invited to come boldly, reflecting the heart of God who desires communion with His children. As we embrace this direct access, we are called to live in a way that honors the grace and love bestowed upon us.
