Conference Call

The term "conference call" as understood in modern telecommunications does not have a direct equivalent in the Bible, as the concept of a multi-party telephone conversation is a contemporary development. However, the Bible does speak to the idea of communication and gathering among believers. For instance, in Matthew 18:20, Jesus states, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them," which emphasizes the importance of communal gathering and the presence of God in such meetings.Additionally, the early church exemplified the idea of communal decision-making and collective prayer, as seen in Acts 1:14, where the disciples "all joined together constantly in prayer." This reflects a principle that can be likened to a conference call, where individuals come together to discuss matters of faith and seek God's guidance collectively. Thus, while the specific term "conference call" is not found in the Scriptures, the underlying principles of gathering, communication, and shared purpose are certainly present in biblical texts.
