Mar Mari Emmanuel teaches that true humility, grounded in faith in Jesus Christ, is the essential path to spiritual sight and eternal life, contrasting it with the pride and stubbornness that lead to spiritual blindness and death.
In this profound sermon, Mar Mari Emmanuel explores the spiritual blindness that afflicts humanity and the way to true sight through humility. Drawing from the Gospel of John, he contrasts the kingdom of the world, ruled by pride and stubbornness, with the kingdom of heaven founded on humility and self-denial. The speaker emphasizes the necessity of embracing Jesus Christ, the Word, to receive true knowledge and salvation. This message calls believers to reject pride, embrace humility, and follow Christ faithfully.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God, Amen. We thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, forever and ever, for his infinite love, mercy, and compassion, allowing us to be in his holy church, in his holy presence. Until this moment, it is the grace of God that has been carrying us.
Otherwise, I would not say it would have been difficult, but with confidence it would have been impossible to go any further. We need to believe it is the grace of God that carries the human till the very end. Without God, nothing happens, because simply he is the only true living God who created everything and everyone.
This is the truth. Whether people believe it or not, changes nothing. The truth will always be the truth.
Accepted, rejected, confessed, professed, or denied, the truth will always be the truth. Our beloved fathers, deacons, nuns, faithfuls, both in this holy church, and everyone who is watching us through live streaming, may the Almighty Jesus Christ of Nazareth guide you, bless you, and protect you always. Amen.
Our church fathers, for today's liturgical service, the gospel of today, our church fathers, filled by the Holy Spirit, chose two parts from the gospel according to Saint John. A small portion from chapter 9 verses 39 to 41, which is the end of that chapter, chapter 9 verses 39 to 41, and then chapter 10 verses 1 to 21. To understand how the Holy Bible talks, we need to understand the structure of every book, every chapter in the Holy Bible, because if we do not understand the structure, we will miss the mark 100%.
In today's gospel, chapter 9 and chapter 10, the Lord Jesus is trying to send this profound message to all of us. Chapter 9, my beloveds, the entire chapter 9 talks about that man who was born blind from his mother's womb, where the Lord Jesus spits on the ground, makes mud, applies it to his eyes, and then says, go and wash in a pond, in Hebrew, Aramaic, Syriac, is called shiluho or shiluha. In English, it's very different, silion or silwan, I don't know, but it's shiluha.
And the word shiluha or shiluho in Aramaic or Hebrew literally means the sent one or the messenger, and that's where we get the name apostles, shliche or shliche or shlicho, meaning the messenger or the sent one. So that pond where that man washed his face and regained his sight, that pond symbolically represented Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the sent one forth by his heavenly father. So when the Lord Jesus opened that man's eyes being born blind from birth, when he regained his sight, his own people cast him out.
They rejected him. Then the Lord Jesus goes and finds him, and then he says to him, do you believe in the son of God? This man, all his life has been blind. At the time where the Lord spoke to him, he was blind.
When the Lord sent him to go and wash, to regain his eyesight, when his eyesight was given back to him, he had not seen the Lord as yet, because the Lord Jesus was gone by then. So he never knew who this man or what this man looks like. He only heard his voice.
So when the Lord Jesus comes and finds him, he says, do you believe in the son of God? He says, who is he for me to believe in Lord? He said, the one who opened your eyes is the one who is talking to you right now. He bows in worship, and he says, I believe Lord. This man who was blind all his life from birth, till the moment the Lord opens his eyes, is never seen.
For the first time he is seeing, and for the first time he sees Jesus Christ and says, you're my Lord, you're my God. Immediately after that is the gospel of today. The Lord Jesus says, for the judgment of this world I have come.
And what is the judgment Lord? He says, for those who do not see, to see, and for those who see, not to see. I came for the judgment of this world, for those who do not see, to see, and for those who see, not to see. And then chapter 10, the Lord speaks about, I am the good shepherd.
I am the good shepherd. My sheep hear my voice and follow me. They do not follow after the voice of a stranger, but they follow the voice of the good shepherd.
And I am the good shepherd who lays his life down for his sheep. I'll try to be as quick as possible. Please give me 10 hours.
When the Lord Jesus met that blind man from birth, yes physically he was blind, but the Lord took this situation to send a message that is to do with the spiritual realm, not the physical. So using this blind man physically, he was trying to say that all of the entire human race is blind spiritually. And what is the spiritual blindness? Separation from God.
When any human being is totally separated from God, that person, even though they are able to see physically, but spiritually they are 100% blind. And what is blindness? Darkness. And what is darkness, biblically speaking, death.
Death. So what the Lord is saying, when a person is spiritually blind, that person is spiritually dead. And this spiritual blindness comes when the spirit of that human being is separated from God.
So death is not when everything comes to a full halt, a full end. No, even though some people will spiritually be dead, but they're still alive. They're not dead, dead.
But the separation from God leads to spiritual death, which is absolute blindness. Now what the Lord is saying, how did people end up being spiritually blind? How did people end up being spiritually separated from God? Only through one way and one way only. Knowledge.
Knowledge. Every single human being, when they were born, they were little angels. No one was ever born to be a serial killer.
No one was ever born to be a murderer. No one was ever born to be a child molester. This little baby born into this world was like a little angel.
How did this angel turn into someone so violent, so vicious? Knowledge. What they gained throughout their life journey, what they learned, what they came to know, got them to who they became eventually. What you know is what you will do and what you will become.
You cannot be someone or you cannot reach somewhere where you do not know. The only thing we are able to do is what we know is all we can say, all we can do. Anything that we never came to know, we can never say it, we can never claim it, we can never live it.
You can only live what you know. So there is two kind of knowledge because there is on the face of this earth, after the coming of the Messiah, after the coming of the Lord Jesus, there is two kingdoms on the face of this world, this earth. Two kingdoms.
One kingdom is the kingdom of the world and the other kingdom is the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of the world is ruled by Satan and the kingdom of heaven is ruled by Jesus Christ, the king of all kings and the Lord of all lords. Now this kingdom of the world requires knowledge and the kingdom of heaven also requires knowledge.
In John chapter 8 verse 41, the Lord was talking to the Pharisees and they were arguing with him. They said, we are the children of Abraham. We are his, we are the descendant of Abraham, we are his children.
He said, well if you were Abraham's children, you would have done what Abraham did. Abraham believed in God, you are not doing what your Abraham father is doing. They said, no, we have we have one father and that father is God.
We have one father and that father is God. The Lord Jesus says, if you loved God, you would have also loved me because I came from him. I speak not of my own accord but I speak of what the father tells me to say.
And then the Lord says, your father is the devil because you are doing what your father is good at, what he does. What does the devil do? The Lord Jesus said, he is the murderer or the killer of mankind from the very beginning and he is the he is a liar and the father of all lies. He is the murderer and the liar.
He said, that's what you do because I came speaking the truth and you do not wish to listen to the truth because you're doing the deed of your father, the devil. Because the devil was the murderer from the start and the liar and the father of all lies. But notice here, the Lord Jesus said to them, you belong to your father, the devil.
He didn't say satan, he said devil. You see, satan has also names and each name has a meaning and when you see that name used in that particular verse or in that particular passage, there is a reason why this name was used. The said, your father is the devil.
Satan and devil are, they're all one, the same, but he used the name devil, not satan. Why? Because the word devil in our language, akhilqarsa, akhilqarsa. Akhilqarsa in Arabic, those who speak Arabic, Iblis, Iblis.
So Akhilqarsa, Iblis, devil, what does that mean? Stubborn. You are the children of your stubborn father. Devil means stubborn.
Now please pay attention. There are two kingdoms. One is the kingdom of the world ruled by satan, the devil, stubborn and the other one is the kingdom of heaven ruled by the king of all kings and the lord of all lords, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Now I ask this, when can a person be stubborn or in other words, put in a different way, what leads the person to being stubborn? What is the cause of our stubbornness? If you tell me, I'll buy you chocolate after Sunday resurrection. What leads a person to stubbornness is self-pride. Pride.
Pride leads the person to stubbornness. You know why? Because when someone has self-pride, they will never be able to humble themselves and listen to someone else's advice. They will only do what's in their head because that's what they capable of doing.
That self-pride does not allow them to accept someone else's advice. It is either my way or the highway. The reason why satan became the devil because what engulfed that angel was pride initially in heaven.
That pride led him to being the devil stubborn. When a person ends up being stubborn, will end up doing two things, kill and lie. Stubbornness lead to killing and leads to lying.
A stubborn person will end up killing a soul. Why? Because when we are not able to lower ourselves and accept criticism, accept a constructive criticism, accept a good advice, by not listening to that good advice, it will lead us to committing murder. If we don't end up killing someone else, definitely we will kill our own self.
When children at home do not adhere to their parents' advice, do not adhere to their parents' warnings, do not adhere to what is right, do not adhere to what is good for them and they become stubborn and insist on doing it their way, not the parents' way, they end up destroying their life and those who are around them, 100 percent. And a stubborn person will also end up lying. Now because I don't have the time, why the stubborn person ends up lying? Because you see my beloved, a stubborn person will do it only their way, not even God's, no one else's, not only at a human level, but even at the divine level.
They will not adhere neither to God nor to anyone else within their own circle. They will do what's in their head and in their head only. What they will do, they'll end up chasing the world.
Why? Because they are following what Satan is all about. Because you see when you do it your way, you're following the world's system. And when you're following the world's system, there is somebody ruling you are no longer free.
Satan is ruling. So you will do like the Lord Jesus says to them, you will do what your father has done from the start. He killed and he lied.
So when you do it your way, you'll end up living for this world only. When you live for this world, you'll say, I worked extremely hard and I achieved this and I achieved that and I became famous and I became a celebrity and I became rich and I created an empire out of my hard yakka, my sweat. Yes, you worked hard my son, my daughter.
Yes, I'm not denying that. You've achieved, you strived endlessly. You never gave up day and night running, running, running to achieving what you've achieved.
But at the end, where did this all get you? When you chase the world, it got you to one place at the end called the grave. And when I went into that grave, all of that achievement was nothing but one big lie. Did I take it with me? No.
It was a lie and I ended up killing myself and received nothing. Why all this? Because that person chose to gain the knowledge of the world. When I gained the knowledge of the world, I walked in the steps of the devil stubborn.
On the other hand, I need to cut it short. On the other hand, the Lord Jesus, there is the kingdom of heaven established by Christ on Calvary on the cross. Now, satan, satan's foundation is pride.
When you come to Christ, he says, my kingdom has a foundation called humility, opposite to pride. One is boastful, the other one is living in self-denial. One is showing off, the other one is trying to hide not to be seen by nobody.
Except by God. One is trying to prove themselves, the other one is trying to glorify God by denying themselves. The Lord Jesus says, when you come into my kingdom, the foundation to it is humility.
Because humility, just like pride led you to stubbornness, humility will lead you to absolute self-denial, totally not stubborn. I won't fight anymore. I won't say it's either this or nothing anymore.
Why do we have arguments at home? Because somebody decides to be stubborn. If both husband and wife are focused on Christ, there will be no problem. But if either party is focused on themselves, not on Christ, satan comes into play.
But when we are focused on Christ, both of us are living for him, no longer for us. You see, in marriage, the Lord Jesus is showing you from the start. Will you take her in good times and bad times, in sickness and in richness, poorness and in richness, whatever? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Will you take him? Yes. The vows, the vows are not for you. The vow is for you to live for her and for you, my daughter, to live for him.
If you, my son, live for your wife and if you, my daughter, live for your husband, Christ is your foundation. But if any one of you decides to live for themselves and says, no, I'm not doing it, either my way or it is the highway, then Christ is no longer your foundation. Satan has been invited into that house.
That house will end up, if we do not come back from our stubbornness, the house will fall. The church, my beloved, it's the house of the Lord. But what did the Lord Jesus say? He says, the gates of Hades cannot prevail against the church.
But when, gates of Hades means Satan. Satan, no matter how hard he tries to attack the church, he can never overcome the church because the church is built on the rock who is Christ Jesus. And what did Christ do to Satan? Crushed his head on Calvary, on the cross.
So when it comes to the Lord Jesus, Satan is defeated, is dead. But when does the church fall? The Lord Jesus said, when the church is divided from within. When we become stubborn as Christians, the family of the Lord, when they become stubborn, they ruin the church.
Why was the church divided? The number one reason, the number one reason was, this is my throne, no one else's. If we all church leaders, if we sit on the floor and forget about the throne, there is no problem. But the moment you sit on the throne, oh you feel someone very special.
They're kissing my hand brother. They're saying your holiness, your eminence, your grace. Whoa, big names, big titles.
I've got a big head like a balloon. So now I see myself above and beyond everyone else. I forgot that I was in the pig's field.
If it wasn't for the blood of the Lamb of God, I would have been till now swimming in the filth of this world. I forgot humility is the key to success. Humility is the way of the cross.
Humility is Christ on earth. Humility is the kingdom of heaven on earth. When you walk in humility, you are no longer stubborn.
Well if you're not stubborn, then you're not gonna kill, you're not gonna lie. So what are you gonna do? Instead of killing, you're gonna give life. And instead of lying, you're gonna speak the truth.
The Lord Jesus says, I am the truth. So when you walk in humility, all you're gonna be saying is what Christ said. And what Christ said is truth and life.
But I'll leave you with this. Why was it the Son of God that put on the flesh and became man? Why wasn't it the Father? Why wasn't it the Holy Spirit that was incarnate? Why the Son? Because my beloved, everything that God created, He created with His Word. And the Son is the logos, the Word.
So through the Son, everything was created. So when we were created by that Word, the moment we broke the Word, the Word had to come to save us and redeem us once again. Now if I give a simple definition of what a human being is, a human being is a Word.
You take the Word out of a human being, what are you gonna do with him? When somebody loses their speech, loses their ability of intellectual capacity, they become like a vegetable. No matter how sweet, how close, how dear to your heart are, but you will not able to continue talking, living, walking with them because they become a vegetable. You can't anymore.
It is the Word that gives you honor. It is the Word that gives you dignity. It is the Word that gives you humanity.
It is the Word that gives you identity. It is the Word. Without the Word, we're nothing.
But the Word that we're able to say made us something special. That Word is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It's Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Now the Son, the Logos, the Word came, became man. Why? Because the Word gives you something that nothing else can give you but the Word. What does the Word give you? Knowledge.
What does the Word give you? Knowledge. What did we say how this person ended up being a serial killer? Because they gained certain knowledge. So when this Word who is Christ, when He came, He said, I am the Word.
If you, when you hear my voice and believe in this voice, accept this Word, when you accept it and believe in it, you will be connected to me. When we are connected to Christ based on faith, since He is the Word, what are we gaining out of connecting to the Word? Knowledge. That's what the Word does, gives you knowledge.
Now why? Because knowledge, my beloved, is the decider whether you live or die. It is the decider whether you end up in in the light or in darkness. It is the decider whether you end up with Christ or with Satan.
It is the decider whether you live or you perish. Knowledge. So Christ says there is only one knowledge, there is only one knowledge that gives you sight, that gives you light, is me.
I am that knowledge only. Anything outside of Christ leads you to death, blindness, spiritual blindness. So the Lord says, I came to give you myself as the Word, to give you the knowledge of God.
Now what was the role of the Lord Jesus on earth to glorify His Father? He says, it is not who is who He says to me, Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but it is He who does the will of my Father who art in heaven. I did not come to do my will, but the will of my dad. I came to glorify Him, not me.
If you love me, you better love my dad. But, and He said it to them, if God was your Father, you would have loved me also. Why? Because the Father is love, the Son is knowledge.
And I came to take you to my Father, because my Father is love. Now I ask you this, what is the only way to love? Knowledge. There is, if you think about it, there is no other way to love but knowledge.
I'll ask you, can you ever claim to love someone you never knew? Can you say, I love somebody I never know, I never knew? No. You can only claim to love someone whom you came to know initially. You see, you can't just come for the first time, meet somebody for the first time and say, I love you, I die for you.
What a joke. You can't. First time is you get to know them.
And the more you get to know them, the more you start loving them. Because what leads to love is knowledge. So now, God the Father is love, but God the Son is the intellect, the knowledge of this Father.
So now, He came to give us the knowledge, because it is only through knowledge we can be led to loving. When I come to know the person, then I can claim, I love them now. Without knowledge there is no love.
So Christ says, I am the way to the Father. Why? Because my Father is love, and the only way to love is through the logos, knowledge. The word gives you knowledge.
So when we came to know Christ, we came to know God. And when I came to know God, I started loving Him, because it is only love that can give you life. And what is life? I've regained my eyesight, I can see.
Only the living see, the dead can't see, like the blind There are so many people living physically, but they are dead spiritually. They can't see. Don't be shocked when they do evil things, yet they think they're doing something magnificent.
Because spiritual blindness gets you to a level where you do not recognize your right hand from your left hand anymore. You will call good evil and evil good, and you'll say, I am the smartest man on earth. Because spiritual blindness can't get any worse than this.
Can't get any worse. So to regain your sight, to be in the light seeing, you need to be alive. But the only thing that gives you life is love.
But the only thing that leads you to love is knowledge. That's why Jesus Christ came, to give you the knowledge that will lead you to love. Because the love then will give you your eyesight, you will live.
You're in the light now. If you stick to worldly knowledge, you'll end up being stubborn. And stubbornness will lead you to killing and lying.
You know, one day, I mentioned this this morning in the morning holy mass service, and I'll mention it again here. This man, who was a thief, went to a to a priest to confess. Yes, you can confess to a priest, it's okay.
So he went to the priest, he had a, he hadn't confessed for an extremely long time, so it looks like his shopping list was getting bigger and bigger. So he went to the priest, and he said, father I want to confess. He said, yeah please come on in.
So this man opened up his newspaper, and he started telling the priest what he's done for all these years. The priest looked at him, it was a very long list. And then he said, my son, all these things you mentioned, if you want to continue doing them, that's fine.
I'll ask you not to do one of the hundred thousand things you've mentioned. I, only one thing don't do. He said, father you're amazing.
Yeah, please go ahead, tell me what is it. He said, do yourself a favor, just whatever you do, don't lie. You want to do the rest, go and do them, but just don't lie.
He said, father you know what, I'm so blessed. You are so wonderful, what a great priest you are. All of them should be the same like you.
You made my life so easy. I was afraid that I'm going to go to hell, but only not lying, that's it. Father, is that it? Just one? He said, yes my son, just don't do this one.
Go on, you're free to do the rest. He said, easy done father, easy done. So anyway, the following day, he came out of his house, going somewhere to steal.
He's been living in that neighborhood for a Some people saw him, they said, oh good morning, so and so. How are you? So they engaged in a conversation. How you been? What are you doing? How was life? Where are you going? He remembered the father.
He said, whatever you do my son, don't lie. He said, oh I forgot the food on the, on the stove. So sorry, sorry, I need to go back.
So he went back, never left home. The second day, he's itching. You know, he's addicted to stealing.
It's like drugs. So the second day, he went to steal. People also met him.
Hi, how are you? How you doing? Where are you going? He went back home. Third day, where are you going? He went back home. He went back home.
He went back home. Gave up on all of his sins, just because he stopped lying. Satan, this is the Lord Jesus talking about Satan, not anyone, God.
He said, Satan is not just a liar. He is the father of all lies. Father means, go to him to teach you.
He's the master of lies. Why all this happened? Because pride engulfed this angel, became Satan. Pride led him to stubbornness, became devil.
Devil ended up killing and lying. Christ came. He said, no more pride.
I give you humility. Carry the cross. Carry my cross.
That's your humility. Die to your old person in order to live in the new person called Jesus Christ of Nazareth. No longer you, but me.
And I myself, in my nature, I'm humble. So when you take my nature on you, then it's no longer your nature, it's mine. And my nature is naturally humble.
So when you learn humility from me, you will no longer be stubborn. Because a humble person does not insist on doing it their way. They go easy with the others.
You know, when you listen to a person, someone comes and says, can you do this for me? And then you say, of course, with pleasure, straight away, without arguing, straight away, I'll do it with pleasure. My question to you, why did you do what they said so easily? For one simple truth, because you love them. If you did not love that person from the heart, it was impossible to do what they asked you just that easily.
Because the love, the stronger the love is, the lesser of you is. The lesser of you is. You see, when we say no to God, because we still love ourselves, and when the time comes that I love myself, I will say to God, no.
Because it is only love that allows you to go running and doing everything for the one you love. Why are you doing it for the one you love? Because all you care about is to make them happy. Because of love, that is so significant and so powerful for them.
You will do anything and everything just to please them, even if that meant you go out of your comfort zone to please the one you love the most. Christ says, if you listen to my word, now when will we listen to his word? When we are able to love him. Because if I don't love Christ, I'll never listen to him.
And I will never do anything that pleases him. It is he whom you love, you will do everything in your capacity to please. Christ says, do you love me? Do you love me? One day, this young man, I'll leave you with this.
Trust me, I'll leave you with this. Unless I'm tempted. One day, this young man, 20, 21 year old, came to me.
He said, father. I said, yes, Habibi, Habibi, my darling, my centerling. I said, yes, my son.
He said, father, do I have to go to church? I said, no. Father, do I have to read the holy bible? I said, no. Father, do I have to pray? I said, no.
He said, well, thank you, father, for answering my questions and clarifying my doubts. I'm gonna go right now to my mom and say, get off my case. Mom, no more.
Next time you say to me, let's go to church, I'll say, the bishop gave me the green lights, I don't have to. Next time you say you need to pray, I'll say, the bishop gave me the green lights, I don't have to. I said, but before you go to mom and get this bishop into trouble with the president, and let me ask you this, my son.
He said, yes, father. I said, do you love the Lord Jesus? He said, of course, with confidence, straight away, of course, I love him. I said, well, if you love him, then you have to go to church.
If you love him, then you need to pray. You have to pray. If you love him, you have to fast.
If you love him, you have to be doing good deeds that pleases the one you love. So going to church is not an obligation, it is a result of the love for Christ. So when you love someone, naturally you will do it, not forcefully.
So you will not be dragged going to church, you'll be running for it, because I can't wait to be with the love of my life. I can't wait. So when the bishop preaches for an hour, don't huff and puff.
I'm in the presence of my love, Jesus. That's why this mouth doesn't want to shut, because when you are in the presence of your love, you just can't shut up, can't shut up. Honey, are you okay? Yes, darling.
Love, can I get you water? No, thanks. How about orange juice? No, thanks. How about Coca-Cola? No, thanks.
How about 7-Up? No, thanks. Would you like some snacks? No, thanks. Some salad? No, thanks.
Some tabbouleh? No, thanks. Some baba ghanoush? No, thanks. Some this? Some that? How about? Are you okay? Are you comfortable? Shut up.
I can't. I love you. I can't shut up.
Do you understand, my beloved? Christ is not a religion. Christ is the person. You see, that's why religions, with all love and respect, cannot fathom, understand the concept of love.
Why? Because religion is to do with law. At the moment you invoke religion, you're setting a set of rules, guidelines, and regulations, laws. You go to all the religions of the world, they will say to you, if you do all these good things, you'll end up in a good place.
But if you don't do all these good things, you'll end up in a bad place. It's about doing and adhering to laws. In law, there is no love.
You know, like when I'm speeding and the cop gets me on the radar over the speed limit, the law doesn't come and say, oh man, you broke my heart. I feel sorry for you, darling. That's okay.
I'll let you go. The law doesn't understand this language. The law knows one thing.
You break me, I break you. But when you come to the person, it is not that the person is abolishing the law, but he is the law. But this person who is the law is love.
So now when the person who is the fullness of the law speaks to you based on love, he'll say, even though you broke my word, but I love you. I will teach you on how not to break it again. It's okay, my son.
It's okay, my daughter. When the children break the law at home, do we kick them out and deny them? Where is love? But just because they broke the law, are we going just to ignore that and say, it's okay? No. Parents get upset.
Parents get angry. Parents use disciplinary measures for the children to wake up. And sometimes those disciplinary measures are painful to the children, but to flock because love is genuine, doesn't lie, doesn't lie.
But love gives life. Love the Lord by getting to know him because it is that knowledge that leads you to love. He is the logos.
Hear the voice of the word, live the word, love the word. When you know Christ, for he is the knowledge, the true knowledge, when you know his word, you get to know him. And when you get to know the person, you love him.
The day you love Christ, your eyes are open. And when your eyes are open, what do you see? The light. And what is the light? The life of mankind.
Life. And that's what love does, gives you life. But life eternal.
A life that has no love in it is hell, is death. A life that has no love is no life at all, even if you're living. But because there is no love, you are suffocated there.
You are dead, even though you're breathing, but you're dead. Because it is the love that makes life truly life. And that's why Christ came, to give us life.
But only love can give life. And that love, he says, is my father. And so God loved the whole world.
And he gave his only begotten son, who is the logos. So that when you get to know the logos, by knowing him, you start loving God. And when you love God, then only your eyes are open, you see the light, you are living.
Be humble. My dear wife, sometimes humble yourself before your husband. Not always, but sometimes.
Please. Sometimes you need to humble yourself. And husband, sometimes you need to humble yourself before your wife.
For life to continue. This husband and wife, they used to argue a lot. It's a joke.
Please relax. Don't hit me. It's a joke.
So the husband and wife used to argue a lot. And then one day the husband came. Actually the joke was about the wife, but I'm too afraid to mention the wife, lest you think I'm picking on the female.
This time I'm going to pick on the male. So the husband came and said, honey, every time we argue, I end up with a massive migraine. Like I can't handle it anymore.
She loves him, but you know, wife is like, she needs to be like a pain all the time and argue with the husband. But deep down she loves him. So she said, oh honey, I'm so sorry.
You know, I'm going to take you to the doctor. So she takes the husband to the doctor. She said, you have to check your brain to see if there is, God forbid, there is something wrong.
Do your MRIs and everything. So anyway, he went and done the MRIs, took the result back to the doctor. The doctor is checking the MRI result and the expression on his face doesn't look very good.
The husband now is worried. He said, doctor, what's wrong? You don't look kind of okay, normal there. He said, is everything okay? The doctor is looking at him and looking at the x-rays.
He said, no, there is a problem, man. He said, come on doctor, tell me what is it? I'm worried now. He said, look, here's the result.
When I look at your left hand side of your brain, there is nothing right. And when I look at your right side, there is nothing left. Did you get it? There is nothing left, like not left as in left, but nothing, nothing's left.
It's empty. That's why you argue because there is no brain left in there. Ah, come on, laugh, relax.
All right. Well, another thing, I thank the Lord that you're in the church that says that you still have petrol. You know, the last couple of days, every time the word petrol comes to mind, it's kind of funny in a way.
May the Lord forgive me, but we have a park in here. I was thinking of digging a massive hole and put a big tank and put some fuel in there. So next time you run out of fuel, the street is called welcome.
So welcome, let me refuel you. So it's good that you still have petrol. Don't worry, I will go to the Middle East and I'll bring you a few tankers from there.
Everything is going to be fine. Love the Lord Jesus. So your tank is always full of fuel and you are puffed up and all energetic for the Lord Jesus.
Amen. Because when the tank is running, you're going to start choking, suffocating. No, no.
Fill your tank with the Holy Spirit, brother, and shout like those preachers in America. Hallelujah, Jeremiah to five. You need to shout for the Lord.
So be filled by the Holy Spirit. Love the Lord Jesus. Let's bow our heads, my beloved.
In the name of the Father and of the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen. Our good God and full of mercy, our good God and full of mercy, whose grace and mercy is poured upon all for my Lord, the compassion of the delightfulness of your love upon your servants and again transform them in the hope of renewal to the life of repentance.
Renew in them your Holy Spirit by whom they are sealed for the day of salvation. Purify them by your compassion from all flesh and spiritual blemishes and assure the hope of their faith by the aid of your grace and instill the walks of their behavior and the paths of righteousness. Please them along with the saints in your kingdom by the assurance of the hope of their faith in the adoption as your children and in the joy of your absolving mysteries.
Empower them by the aid of your mercies to observe your commandments and fulfill your will to confess worship and praise your holy name, the Lord of all, Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever. Amen.
