Separated From Our Loved Ones
Keith Daniel

Keith Daniel (1946 - 2021). South African evangelist and Bible teacher born in Cape Town to Jack, a businessman and World War II veteran, and Maud. Raised in a troubled home marked by his father’s alcoholism, he ran away as a teen, facing family strife until his brother Dudley’s conversion in the 1960s sparked his own at 20. Called to ministry soon after, he studied at Glenvar Bible College, memorizing vast Scripture passages, a hallmark of his preaching. Joining the African Evangelistic Band, he traveled across South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and made over 20 North American tours, speaking at churches, schools, and IBLP Family Conferences. Daniel’s sermons, like his recitation of the Sermon on the Mount, emphasized holiness, repentance, and Scripture’s authority. Married to Jenny le Roux in 1978, a godly woman 12 years his junior, they had children, including Roy, and ministered together. He authored no books but recorded 200 video sermons, now shared online. His uncompromising style, blending conviction and empathy, influenced thousands globally.

Sermon Summary
This sermon delves into the fearful possibility of separation from loved ones, both in this life and for eternity, emphasizing the consequences of rejecting God and the need for sincere repentance and reconciliation. It warns against doctrinal differences, exclusivity in religion, and the tragic outcomes of pride, folly, and un-Christlike behavior that can lead to alienation from family members. The urgency of seeking God's salvation and living in righteousness is highlighted to avoid eternal separation and to mend broken relationships on Earth.
Sermon Transcription
2 Thessalonians 1 verse 8, He will return, He will return, He will return in flaming fire, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall be punished, who shall be punished with everlasting, everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power. Tonight I want us to consider, tonight I want us to consider the fearful, the fearful possibility of separation, separation from our loved ones. I want us to consider the fearful possibility of separation from our loved ones, to be separated eternally from our loved ones, to be separated eternally from our loved ones. Firstly, firstly, at Christ's return, at Christ's return, separated at Christ's return. When I was a young man in my father and mother's home that Daddy so sacrificially built for us, we had our own rooms, we had this lawns and landscapes, it was beautiful. And I was home, my bed lay at the window, long window. Those days we didn't have crime like we do today, burglar guarding and security, and oh my, in those days there was no fences hardly anywhere, let alone burglar guard, but I left the windows open because of the warmth, I wanted the cool breeze to come in, so there beside the window was my bed and I lay the windows open. Suddenly, suddenly I heard the curtain alongside of my bed where I was lying just drawing, and in my days and beginning to wake up hearing these curtains drawing, I began to think, oh there must be a storm, there must be a severe wind, a heavy strong wind, that's blowing the curtain. I lay there and then I began to think, but there is no wind, there's dead silence, it's silent. So I opened my eyes and I looked up and there someone had drawn the curtain from the outside, and I looked, just above my head, the window that had been pulled open was a very large man, we tried to work out how large he was, because there was a high window and he was looking down at me, he must have been an incredibly tall man. His hand could have just reached down and taken my throat, he was, it was his hand with the curtain drawn open inside looking down at me, he didn't see that my eyes were open because it was darker inside the room than it was outside with the garden lights all over, I could see his face looking down at me, he didn't know I was looking at him, but eventually I didn't want to wait to see what he was going to do, I just shouted, Yedendabe! That's Zulu, what do you want? Yedendabe! He pulled out his hand and fled, I pulled myself up to the window and looked at this man, I couldn't believe the size of him, the uncanny thing is, he couldn't hear anything, as he ran down the garden, back onto the streets, right to the street, he just ran, but there was a silent light, he was almost floating, I don't know what he had on his feet, but it was uncanny, this man had just come through the curtains back, tell me, soul, tonight, will you, will you awake as the thief that this Bible speaks of, draws back the curtains of time, will you awake suddenly as the thief draws back the curtains of time, with no warning, and he suddenly appears, 1 Thessalonians 5 verse 2, the day of the Lord, the day of the Lord, so cometh as a thief in the night, God's word warns, the day of the Lord, so cometh as a thief in the night, 1 Thessalonians 5 2, that brethren ye are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief, ye are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief, Revelation 16 verse 15, behold I come as a thief, I come as a thief, blessed is he that watcheth, Revelation 3 verse 3, if therefore thou shalt not watch, if therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come on thee, Luke 17 verse 34, I tell you in that night, in that night there shall be two in one bed, there shall be two in one bed, the one shall be taken, the other shall be left, two women, two women shall be grinding together, the one shall be taken, and the other left, two men, two men shall be in the field, the one shall be taken, and the other left, and they answered and said unto him, where Lord, where, and he said unto them, wheresoever the body is, that is the carcass, referring to Christ himself, there will the eagles, that is the saved, be gathered together, man and wife asleep in bed, she hears a noise, she turns her head, she's gone, oh that we'd all been ready, lovers climbing up a hill, one disappeared, and one there standing still, oh that we'd all been ready, but there's no time to change your mind, there's no time to change your mind, the sun has come, and you've been left behind, separated eternally from our loved one, separated eternally from our loved ones, firstly, firstly at Christ's return, at Christ's return, and secondly, secondly, separated from our loved ones eternally, through death, through death, separated eternally from our loved ones at death, Hebrews 9 verse 27, it is appointed, that's something you will never miss that appointment, not one of you can miss it, it is appointed unto men once to die, it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment, for God lied, if there's any hope of anything of a transaction, no matter how hard you try, could change, it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this God said, and God cannot lie, sir, he will not, the judgment, the judgment, oh prepare thyself to meet with thy God, that's your side, don't you sit there with any doctrine from hell, using scriptures, but blinding your eyes to the rest of the Bible, God, it's you sir, it's you, don't blame God if you don't come, don't blame God if you don't come, prepare thyself to meet with thy God, Amos cried in chapter 4 verse 12, Romans 8 verse 1, God promises that there's no condemnation, that's no judgment awaits people, there's no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, that's a wonderful promise, and if you have any iota of integrity, you read the next part of the verse and the rest of the chapter to see the condition, there's no such a thing as a promise without a radical condition in this Bible, sir, only a blind man or otherwise a liar to himself, he blinded his eyes to the second part of the verse like that, like the Jehovah Witnesses, they can't read the second half of any verse, they're caught, it cancels out what they're saying, so they lie and that's why God will judge them, no matter who says they want to judge people, God says they will, oh blessed are the dead, God says, which die in the Lord, Revelation 14 verse 13, blessed are the Lord, blessed are the dead which die in the Lord, but there is the tragic possibility, beloved, there is the tragic possibility of being separated from our loved ones for all eternity at death, there is the tragic possibility of being separated from our loved ones for all eternity at death, none of you think it could happen, do you? I have preached in large auditoriums as I've preached, people have fell down dead, I just are preaching, people who thought there might be a time for an appeal, you think you might even get to the appeal, how do you know you won't die, it's happened to others, how do you know you won't face eternity separated, I've stood in auditoriums, great churches, the whole family that I pointed at and I played with them, father, you're standing there with a lot of children, how can you be sure that your entire family will not all be dead before you even get to your front door, that man sought God, and so did his children and his wife, before they reached their home that night, they were all dead, slaughtered by evil people, politically, how do you know 20 years later, for the first time I repeated what happened there in Dundee in the town in South Africa, Southern Africa, in a large Dutch reformed church, and I pointed to the back row and there, told the auditorium, another man, wife, children, and I said, how do you know that won't happen to you and your children, how do you know that you won't be dead before you reach your front door, and you don't seek God, they sought God, the family, they were slaughtered, all killed, they didn't die because I said that, that was God's final call, sir, do you honestly think God is in control when he sees what's about to happen, do you think honestly that was that people's choice to be in that meeting, God knows, the very hairs of your head are numbered, you don't know when, you don't know, how do you know, you and your family, sir, you reach the end of the meeting, you sit there presumptuously, I have a two-hour sermon, go on the internet, the possibility of death, of people I stood with or preached to that within minutes were dead, over the 47 years that I preached, how do you know, I begged some young fellow, he got a little motorbike full of sin, I wept, how do you know, you reach home, minutes later his whole body was dropping off, I'm talking about a young fellow, how do you know, oh there's the tragic possibility of being separated from our loved ones for all eternity at death, this is why we all, beloved, we all long to be sure that they are truly saved before we die, we all carry a great burden for our loved ones, salvation, why we live, if we are truly saved and rightly related to God, we all carry a great burden for our loved ones, salvation, because we believe this book, we don't show more earnestness about their profession and their education, we write with God, we all carry a burden for our loved ones, why we live, if they are not saved, back in our country, South Africa, recently my wife and I were in the house of a very wealthy man and a very godly man, and he was sharing something that startled me, his name is Henny, Henny and Stella Fareed, a lovely brother and sister that I've come to respect deeply over the years, godly, but he was sharing how someone who had been a friend of him for many years, gone to university with him, he was doing farming, he had inherited a farm in a certain area of Southern Africa, and he was, it seemed once a week would take his produce that hadn't gone to the market into this exporter, he would take these lorries down to a certain section where many people would come with their lorries and take the produce and a lot of cash flowed, enormous amount of cash flowed, and suddenly they were attacked, oh don't think this is unusual in Southern Africa, where any money being openly, they were attacked by men with these big rifles, these big guns, they suddenly drove up, took the guns, give us the money, oh the foreman of his farm tried to intervene and they just riddled him with bullets, he was pulled into a car by weeping relatives, he had given that he died before he could get to hospital, he was riddled with bullets, but this man who owned the farm, Kurt van Dijk, Kurt and Rita van Dijk, they shot him as he was trying to reason with him, they don't care about life, you know life has no value when you reach rock bottom, you harden your heart against god, and you open yourself to what the devil makes to harden yourself to life, which can be in any means today, especially to the media, but you become, life has no value, when it comes to your sin or wickedness or wealth, these people had no, they suddenly shot him, different places of his head and body, took all the money, drove off, couldn't find him, never found him, this Kurt van Dijk, he hung on to life for 61 days, he somehow hung on to life for 61 days, there was no possibility of him living, there was no possibility of him recovering, he was like so hurt, there was no possibility of him recovering, but for some reason, in a state where they knew he had to die, he lived for 61 days, and eventually, a very godly man stood beside him with others in the room, weeping, and pleaded with him as he began to regain consciousness every now and again, vaguely but definitely, you're ready to meet with god, Kurt, and anybody's ready to meet with god, it's you, let go, let go, absent from the body, present with the lord, and he began to speak for the first time in those 61 days, slowly, drawing, and agonizing, looking, trying to focus, he was coming down, he said, I can't let go, I can't let go, you see, my wife is not saying, and I am so fearful, that she will go to hell, for eternity, to god's judgment, and that I will never see her, and I love my life more than anyone in the world, I cannot bear the thought of eternity without her, without me, and he began to sob, I can't let go, my wife is going to hell, and I'm so fearful, I'll never see her again, he didn't know this, but his wife was standing behind these people, she heard it, what did she do, in shock, in pain, in fear, she fell down on her knees, sobbing, and gave her life to christ, with all her heart, soul, and mind, she stood up, pushed past the people, held on to him, weeping, and told him what she had done, he smiled, tears coming down, he died, I was preaching in a place called Christmas Rock, you can see the size of the rock in the sea, and so the community, the town around there, in the eastern caper of southern Africa, we held a breakfast service, right, what does that mean, you get two meals, you get a good breakfast, so long as you're willing to sit for another meal, a sermon, you see, so people can't come to church, they won't come, so they try everything they can, the Christians in that town, and so I was to preach at what their effort to get the whole, town came, that place was filled out, the sports hall, whatever it is, I don't know, the sports club, it was filled out, tables, lovely breakfast, you know, people come, there's a free meal, and then you can just sit through the sermon, there's not an ultimatum of wanting God, just wanting the meal, that's how we get people saved, many multitudes, one place over a hundred people responded to salvation, not one ever backslid in the breakfast service, somewhere in South Africa years ago, not one has ever backslidden, of those that stood, that didn't come to see God, they came to the free meal, well there I was, preaching away, pouring my heart out to them now, and there's an old 88 year old man, Afrikaans, that means from Europe, 200 years ago, the early descendants in Africa, escaping religious persecution, and he has his language Afrikaans, mix of a couple of languages of Europe, that's there the last white tribe of Africa, they called him, here was this man, sitting there 88 years old, and he listened to me, and he thought, that means, I can't understand a word this Englishman saying, it was Afrikaans, now he's sitting there, very angry, and he's got to sit, you see many people have never stopped with the Boer War, against the English, he said, yeah he's now sitting, very unhappy, that he's got to listen to a sermon in English, and he says, I can't hardly understand the language, he preaches so softly, I can't even hear him, so he's sitting there, very indignant, that he's got to sit to this man, from the English, this man that doesn't speak loud enough for him to hear a word in his age, you see, I behave myself, and I just sit here, so he's behaving himself, nothing, not a thought for God, what happened, so suddenly, I begin to just refer to Jesus Christ's word to an old man, Nicodemus, you must be born again, except the man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God, there's no possibility of him going to heaven, Nicodemus says what you and I would say, you see, Christ knew these words, this was to you, he was speaking, he knew that billions would hear this, and you would say, how can a man be born again, can he go into his mother's womb a second time, and be born again, I said, no, that which is born of the flesh, Nicodemus, his flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit, capital S, the Spirit, that which is born of the flesh, when you're born physically, you are a child of your mother and father, not a child of God, no one's born a child of God, you must be born again, to become God's child, there has to be a spiritual birth, and that involves what a child can't do, the intellect, the free will, the turning, the repenting, consciously, if you can't set yourself free, you turn to God to set you free, and if the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed, if he sets you free, and you know it, for you'll come, not just forgiveness, but for forgiveness for that which you repented, and you turn under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, who's made this book alive, whoa, your life is new, when a man be in Christ, he's a new creature, he's of a committed sin, he's a servant of sin, but if the Son shall set you free, you shall be free, hallelujah, indeed, well, you must be born again, and become God's child, born as a work of the Holy Ghost, as he sees your obedient heart, your faith, your willingness to turn, or burn, the old preachers used to preach, preach that today, you burn, the old man sitting there now, suddenly, what, what, what's this Englishman talking about, who he catches, nothing in the sermon, but yeah, what happened, Jesus said, it's like the wind, you don't know where it's coming from, you don't know where it's coming, but it comes, wow, that's how God works, suddenly, he's awakened, I said, what happened to me, the breakfast service ends, everyone goes home, he goes home, and his son, daughter-in-law, who arranges breakfast with other Christians, but he said, what's this Englishman saying, what is he talking about, born again, I've never heard about that, daddy, we have prayed for years, but you've listened to us, but Jesus said, I've got my church, leave me alone, I've got my church, don't you come with me, but daddy, you wouldn't listen, daddy, it's just wonderful that you listen, that you want to know what God said has to happen, but daddy, I have to go back to the hall, I have to organize a payment and everything with this breakfast, I can't leave it, but when I come back, I'll show you from the Bible, daddy, please, just wait now, I'm back just now, the old man looks at this man who organized the tour with thousands of people that I preached, over three weeks, thousands and thousands, seven meetings a day, prisons, schools, shows, anything, just wonderful, so this man sitting there who organized the tour, eating an orange, the old man comes to him and says, buddy, what will do the Englishman, you must be born again, what's this Englishman talking about, that's never happened before, in front of the station, our district superintendent in that section of Africa, he says, uncle, sit down, takes the Bible and he begins to open it, the old man says, I never did that, I never knew that, I want that, they kneel, he cries out to God, weeping, trembling for God to save his soul by the blood of Christ from hell, to make him his child, which he was never born, because he was born into a Christian country, you're not born a Christian, he stands up, a miracle of miracles, miracle of miracles, the Holy Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, God promises or God lies, the Holy Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God, God doesn't mock you, if you, he died for you and you've got to live in mockery and fear and hope, he might as well know, you know, we know, we've passed from death unto life, John says in 1 John 2 verse 16, we know, brother, you must know, if you don't know, you're saved, you're not saved, or God lies, which he cannot do, 1 John 5 16, he that believeth on the Son of God, hath the witness in himself, God says, that's saving faith, he that believeth on the Son of God, hath the witness in himself, he that believeth not, God has made him a liar, because he believeth not the record that God has given of his son, and this is the record that God has given to us, eternal life, and this life is in his son, he that hath the son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life, these things have I written unto you, that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know, that you have eternal life, and that you believe in the name of the Son of God, you must know, sir, this old man knew, he stood up from his knees, no one can comprehend this, but God does this, at 88 or 6 years of age, when your heart functions, and your mind, and your conscience, and your will, and embraces the truth, the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God, he stood up rejoicing, still with you, he knew he was saved, this God does, he wasn't being presumptuous, he knew, he's born of God, hallelujah, and here he stands now, his son walks back in the door, the daughter, and he tells them, I'm born again, and he knew, he wasn't presumptuous, he wasn't taking a chance, you know, there he's a doctor, his son's a doctor, he's there weeping, arms around, oh daddy, he's prayed all his years, and then he stands there, he says, tomorrow's mama, today's mommy, mommy never said this, I knew mommy, I know everything, mommy never knew this, where is mommy, daddy, you'll never see mommy again, but we'll be with you for all eternity, we'll be with you forever, daddy, but you'll never see mommy again, daddy, we're all with you, the old man, 88 years of age, fell down on his knees, on his face, and he sobbed uncontrollably, crying, no God, no God, we returned to the town two years later, that old man took his Bible, marked the verses in John chapter 3, and what Christ said to Nicodemus, and the other verses that he had been shown, related that, of what to do, and what it means to be born again, and the verses that relate to rejecting the life, not coming to the life, so you know, and the eternal judgment of John 15, he went to every single home in the entire community, a large community, 88, every door he wept at, every door he stood and begged them weeping, I never knew, I never did, I never seen my wife, many of them knew him, many of them, I never seen her, according to you, you will never see your wife, and he begged them to come to God, to come to God through Christ, by grace, through faith, and saved in his death, he went to every single home in the entire community, no preacher had ever done that, no young Christian had ever done that, no youth leader or youth group had ever done that in that entire community, every home weeping, with an open Bible, begging them, you see God, the last home in the town, when there wasn't another home to go, he went home and died, the last home, the last day, don't tell me that God is with the man, because he had what many don't have, an urgency, and a broken heart, and a fear for every soul, if you believe this book emphatically, emphatically, oh beloved, my father, my father's last words to my mother, as he lay dying, my mother holding his hand, weeping, Mordy, I'm scared Mordy, that you're not saved, I'm not sure Mordy, and Mordy, I will never see you again, if you don't answer, I can be sure you won't, please promise me Mordy, promise me that you'll seek God until you are sure, Mordy, I could never bear eternity without you, I love you more than anything in life, I cannot face the thought of eternity without seeing you, I beg you, please be there, the burden, the burden for our lost family can keep us on our faces, groaning daily, even aging, if they choose to reject Christ, or don't see the earnestness, the burden for our loved ones can age us, daily groaning before God in agony, agony, if they die without Christ, there's a newspaper cutting from one of our main newspapers in South Africa, the headline, father drowns trying to save his children, of course that's physical, but I immediately thought, how many godly fathers and mothers have agonized, and aged, and died prematurely, I can show you many, whose sons and daughters, with both hands, served Satan, unashamedly rejected the God of their father and mother, and all that they were raised up to believe, and threw their lives into wickedness, and sin, and evil, embraced a life of sin and shame, I can tell you of fathers who drowned trying to save their children, who chose to serve Satan, no matter what it did to their daddies and mommies, in our mission, we had a young man, his name was Ian Coetzee, also African-speaking, the Bura, that language, he later left the mission and went into the pulpit as a pastor, he was a very effective and very respected man, no longer young, but those days he was young, and his testimony startled me, he told how his daddy, who I know well, had stood up in a church, in a large auditorium, with many hundreds of people, I preach in that church to many conferences over the years, in Cape Town, he stood up, and there were his three sons, Ian and his two brothers, sitting beside him in the church, the du-mini, the pastor, very well-known in our country, he said these words before he brought the message, is there anyone in this building who has a great grief and a deep burden that you long to share that we may pray with you, could you please, if there is anyone, share that we will all pray with you, Ian Coetzee's daddy stood up, and weeping, with a loud voice, cried out across the whole auditorium, I have three sons, and he pointed to them, they all serve the devil, all my three sons are serving satan with both hands earnestly, shame on you, and they are going straight to hell, and will be cast to hell for all eternity, and I fear for their souls, and here he is weeping, and I ask you please to pray with me for their salvation, and he sat down, dead silence in the church, Ian, this young fellow, 19 years old, if I can remember rightly, he said he was so ashamed as everybody began to turn around, all over the church, and look at these three boys, he said he went down, and he tried to crawl under the pew, have you ever seen a man do that, he said it didn't work, he couldn't get there, and he just sat there like this, he was so ashamed, and you may judge that man and say that was very wrong, let me tell you something, that boy stood up, and began to seek God, he didn't come out of anything, but he began to seek God with such desperation, and agony of soul, and the fear of eternity with us, because of what his father said, he found Christ to become a preacher, and a preacher that is very loved in our country today, you may judge that man and say, tell me if that man hadn't done that, do you think the possibility is there that those three boys would still be embracing a life of sin, their souls damned, so don't judge what a man stooped to in desperation, it made his son seek God, desperately in shock of what his daddy did, and the burden of his daddy that he only was shaken by when he stood up, I was with another man touring a part of southern Africa, this year, his name is Tinus van der Vestegen, a very godly man, and he was telling me how the hometown where he comes from is a place called Paal, Paal is a beautiful community, farmlands all over, and he said the strangest thing, there are lorries that come through the town to these big silos where they put the wheat and the corn, all these lorries are loaded with corn and wheat, and yet they come not one, one after the other, from all the farmlands through the day to these great big silos in preparation for selling, now, he said there's a corner in the town, there's a bend, that these lorries don't slow down, because it's not just a complete bend, but it's a bend, and they don't, and every time a lorry goes around this bend, there's a spillage of corn, wheat, it's spilling all over the road, every single lorry, because these fellows just don't slow down, the next one, the next lorry, and now there are little red and yellow finches, little birds, he says thousands that come to that town, that swoop down onto the street, and they pick up all the little corn while they can, and the next lorry is coming, and just before it comes, they fly away, but he said, tragically, many of them, leave it too late, leave it too late, and their little carcasses in the hundreds every day, are lying across it, but what happens, the next lorry comes, they all swoop down, the dead carcasses, they know the danger, they know they could be next, they're not ignorant, they know, but there they are, down, back, it is trying, but again, those who leave it too late, in spite of knowing, knowing the possibility, they don't say they don't know, they do, but they leave it too late, as you try and feed it a little longer, now, beloved, many people, tragically, leave it too late, to eat from the devil's tables, and the devil's houses, from the devil's food, that he hands out to those who would take sin, many leave it too late, just to feed a little, it's the same with sin, beloved, you just wait, to feed a little longer, on sin, and you know, you know, of God's eternal judgment, if you die unsaved, while in sin, but, you know, your life could be taken from you, you know that, but you just linger, you just linger, by carrying on a little longer with sin, believing that you could get away with it, terrible thing, to take a chance with eternity, there's a verse in the Bible, in Isaiah, that says, seek ye the Lord, while he may be found, now, that's a warning, that's not a promise, seek ye the Lord, God doesn't mince with words, God doesn't play with words, if it's in the Bible, he'll take earnest note, don't play the fool with God's soul, and that means, with his word, seek ye the Lord, while he may be found, call ye upon him, while he is near, is he near, you think he's going to come near again, and again, and again, and again, while you just carry on, and walk out, though he came near, you know, when God's speaking, warning, to base men, and weak men, like me, but you know, you have to do with God, not a preacher, it's his word, it's his presence, oh, seek ye the Lord, while he may be found, tomorrow may never come for you, sir, young girl, you honestly don't think that can happen, so did many, I've preached to, he didn't make it home, after that, seek ye the Lord, while he may be found, call ye upon him, while he is near, the holy book promises, who shall recall upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved, what more can God do, let me tell you, what more God can do, nothing, nothing, that's why you will be judged, he died, he gave this book, he brought you under the awareness of eternity, of judgment, and he warns you of the eternal consequences, if you die, and you haven't sought the Lord, and prepared thyself, God will deliver thy God, oh, seek ye the Lord, while he may be found, call ye upon him, while he is near, let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man is sought, and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him, it's wonderful, God's amazing grace is there for the wicked, who turn, that's all God wants, oh, let the wicked forsake his way, God promises, the unrighteous man is sought, and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him, and to our God, who he will abundantly pardon, what more can God promise you, nothing, you will face judgment righteously, sir, for rejecting such a God, through his word, now is the acceptable time, the Bible promises, now is the acceptable time, today is the day of salvation, if you will harden not your hearts, that throws it back at you, not at God, now is the acceptable time, today is the day of salvation, I can say to you now, if you will harden not your hearts, as in the day of propagation, that is when they hardened their hearts against God, and he slew thousands without mercy, because of the one thing he's warning you here, he will have no mercy one day, if you harden your heart, you'll be destroyed, and that without remedy, God has promised in this book, oh, be careful, be careful, sir, you may be tempted to pursue sin a little longer, tragically, you will be cut off, when you didn't think you could be, or would be, or the possibility was there, you knew that, you will be separated forever from your loved ones, who prayed for you, who pled with you, don't doubt that, you will be separated forever from your loved ones, who prayed with you, who pled with you, and beloved, don't, don't dare, we dare not fail to warn them, we dare not fail to warn our loved ones, don't leave it too late, to warn them of the eternal suffering, that they will face, if they do not prepare themselves to meet with God, in Luke 16, verse 28, you all know this, how the rich man and Lazarus, they both died, one in heaven, one in hell, you don't wait for the eternal white throne, the great white throne to face judgment, if you die without Christ, you're judged already, you are cast, the moment you die in hell, sir, death in hell, would be casting the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death, but at death, if you die without Christ, you go into flame, I am tormented in this flame, said Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and touch my tongue, I am tormented in this flame, do you think Christ plays the fool with stories, just to tickle the ears, to create sensationalism, sir, the moment you die, no matter who you are, without Christ, you're judged, I had a sermon of the seven judgments of Christ, I was stung, the seven eternal judgments of God in the Bible, which I won't go into, but this is one death, at death, without Christ, you're judged already, you're judged, you face that eternal and all in hell would be casting the lake of fire and brimstone after the, those who have to be judged at the great white throne, but this staggering passage of Luke 16, in hell, he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, you see, he cries and says, have mercy on me, send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, cool my tongue, I'm tormented in this flame, and the answer between us and you, there is a great gulf fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot, neither can they pass to us, that would come from hence, he says, oh, I pray that thou would send him to my father's house, I have five brethren, suddenly, at death, in hell, he's suddenly starting worrying about his loved one, oh, wait until you know what your children are coming to, wait until you know, oh, that they may be warned, and that they don't come to this place of torment, and in the staggering, oh, if one went unto them from the dead, they will not, they so set in their ways, that even, now, let me tell you something, some preacher like me, who's witnessed people dying minutes after I preach, can preach because of that, the way I do, don't you judge me the way I preach, I preach because of what I witnessed, the way I do, but if someone went from the dead, from hell, no one could ever warn his loved ones in a more effective way, and yet, this is what God says, they're so determined not to let go of their sin, that even if they go to hell, they're going to die hastening the last second, and send no one, neither will they be persuaded, though one from the dead, is the answer, even if you are pleading with your brothers, with those of your family, that you care for suddenly, when you realize what they, and an unsaved person, now having compassion on his lost family, is a staggering thought, sir, why is it a saint, who know about this hell, aren't pleading and crying out to God, Isaiah 66, another staggering passage, the gospel according to Isaiah, the gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, four, but one other book in the bible, Isaiah, the gospel according to Isaiah, the only difference is, they are this side of the cross, this was before Isaiah, and every single aspect of the cross, was in the gospel, according, don't doubt it, it is staggering, nearly 80 percent of the entire new testament, is caught in the old testament, much word perfect, only one difference, that side of the cross, and the life given there, oh my, but this gospel according to Isaiah, a great percentage of it is written about the gospel dispensation, and thereafter, he speaks right in the last chapter, the last two, three chapters, of eternal suffering, of the heavens burning, new heaven, new earth, he speaks of the eternal damnation of the soul, those who do not seek God, in the gospel, through the gospel of Christ, in its context, all taken in the book of Revelation, much through the bible, much through the new testament, but this is the most staggering to me, the last verses of the gospel of Jesus Christ, according to Isaiah, the last two verses, which shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come and worship me, saith the Lord, and they shall go forth and look upon the carcasses of the men, they shall go forth and look upon the carcasses of the men, that have transgressed against me, their worms shall not die, that their body will never cease to exist, neither shall their fire be quenched, they shall be an abomination, they are boring to all people, oh beloved, I have looked up and commented, but try and see now, why is it that God would say this, I can't comprehend, you can't comprehend, that after death, the bliss and glory, after Christ's atonement, there will be those who, forever it says, according to him, will go and look and see, as we saw, the rich man saw, he recognized, he could speak, he could cry, he could answer, that must be the worst part of hell, this is eternal, this is terrifying to me, but not one commentary actually gives any statement, I suppose because it's so controversial, now don't you ever sit there and ever again say, Keith Daniel believes this will happen, I don't know how this, I don't know how to comprehend it, you don't, but possibly it's beyond comprehension, how do we in our bliss, how do we have to look down and look at those in hell, I don't know, and I don't know what to believe and embrace you, but it's here, will you possibly forgive me for reading to you the last two verses of this staggering book, which is quoted in the New Testament more than any other book by Christ, than every single, than any other book of the Old Testament, that the possibility of looking down, I don't say it can happen because I can't comprehend it in the light of the rest of the scriptures, but it is in the Bible, what happens if in one chance in a billion, even though I'm not saying it will, it has to, you can look down and see your loved ones tormented in the fire of God's love, what happens if they can do with that which man doesn't speak, and recognize, Daddy, Daddy, I'm here, for a ten-year-old, Daddy, I'm here because of you, I didn't want your religion because of your life, I rejected it because of you, what happens, if in one chance in a billion, even, have you ever considered that this here isn't just spiritualized words of some dispensation, Sir, not one commentator, and I have gone to many, is willing to go into this controversial territory that I'm daring to do tonight by actually suggesting you just look at the verse tonight and again and again. There are loved ones in the glory, whose dear forms you often miss, will you end your earthly story? When you end your earthly story, will you join them in their bliss? Will the circle be unbroken? By and by, by and by, in that better home, awaiting in the sky, in the sky, in the joyful days of childhood, off they told of wondrous love, pointed to the dying Savior, now they dwell with him above. Songs of heaven, which you sang with childish voice, do you love those hymns they taught you, or our songs of earth? Your choice, you remember happy gathering round the fireside long ago, and you think of tearful partings when they left you here below. Their seats were emptied, one by one they went away. Here the circle has been broken, will be complete one day. Will the circle be unbroken, by and by, by, in that better home, awaiting in the sky, in the sky. Now, beloved, I'm going to take just a few more moments, daring to tread on territory none of you expected. I'm going to talk about God's word warning us of the possibility, the tragic of the possibility of being separated or ostracized by our loved ones here on Earth. And I'm only going to take a few brief moments, in case there's people here who need to know this. Separated from our loved ones by ostracization, here on Earth, because of salvation. Now, I have here many passages, Old Testament and New, that Christ refers to in the Old Testament speaking of the gospel dispensation. A man's enemies shall beat the members of his own house. The father shall rise up against the son. The son against the father. The mother against the daughter. The daughter-in-law against the mother. Oh, you're smiling at me. And again and again, Old Testament is brought up in the New. These words, applying to what the gospel will do in wholes. Separation, Psalm 27, verse 10, when my father and my mother forsaken, and that's possible through the gospel. Then the Lord will take me up. We have promises, it is happening. I've seen people thrown onto the streets. I've seen people have burial services. They're dead, even though they stand there watching the funeral procession. But their father never spoke to him till the day he died. They died. He so hated what they'd done, giving their love. Isaiah 49, 15, can a woman forget her sucking child? That she should not have compassion? Yes, that's possible. They may forget, but I will not forget thee. He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13, verse 15. Psalm 69, verse eight, I have become a stranger to my brethren, my brothers, an alien to my mother's children. Why? Psalm 88, verse eight, lover of friends, have not put forth on me my acquaintances of the sake of me in darkness. Why? Be careful, be careful. How many homes I know. God warns us of separation from our loved ones because of salvation, and their anger and hatred, and rejection of you to the degree. I've known men to throw their wives down a flight of stairs and left her covered with blood and said, get out of our lives. One reason, he never touched her. He was a good husband, she gave her life to Christ. I've known men to beat their sons to a pulp. Why? Because they were seeking God and that son that I'm talking about now, he ended up in jail most of his life. And I said to the dead, and you said, I'll beat God out of you as you punched him to the old face. What do you expect? You don't know what an enemy is, sir, until you've got somebody, an enemy in your own house because you chose God and they want sanctity. You'll be stunned how love stops and hatred comes, and you are separated, ostracized, even sometimes if you don't leave them in your own house, they have nothing to do with you. You're in debt. The tragic possibility of separation because of salvation that God warns of. We need to be careful here, though. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say, may all men of evil against you, falsely for my sake. The choice of achieving that for great is your reward in heaven. You see, the tragedy is, if it's not for righteousness' sake, if it's for stupidity's sake, that they're right in condemning you. That's where the tragedy lies, that you don't live 1 Corinthians 13 to your family. You blame them and you push hell on them and judge them. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, but don't hide behind that word, sir, if it's for stupidity's sake. God never gave you the right to be unchristlike, ungodly, and cruel. Separated, be careful here. Be careful, beloved. There's a terrible, terrible danger that we send them to hell and their condemnation to us. A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city. Their contention are like the bars of the castle, Proverbs 18, verse 19. I believe the context of this verse suggests that the offense that we could have avoided had we used our brains, if we had discernment to our lives, been truly soaked in the word of God, learning that we have the mind of Christ and the Holy Spirit takes a hold of us. Discernment is given to the degree we soak ourselves in the word of God and pray and walk with God, outside of which we have no discernment at all. That can be used by God, it can be used by the devil, if you think you have a gift, but given one moment, no! Oh, that offense could have been avoided. A brother offended, and I believe in its context, to your life being wrong is harder to be won than a strong city, God warns. Their contention are like the bars of the castle. Oh, agree with thine adversary quickly, especially if you've got an enemy in the house, sir, that you don't give the adversary reason to condemn you. You'd better say, sorry, I was wrong, before you send them to hell, and they judge you righteously, rightly, while you're in the way with them, before the brother can never be reached, before the enemy cuts you off, that is a member of your own household. Be careful, beloved, don't hide behind righteousness, if you're sending them to hell to un-Christ-likeness. Ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, God speaking here of failing the way you bring them up, because of un-Christ-likeness, maybe you think you have the right to beat them with a rod of iron. Sir, I know a man who boasted he'd beaten his son so much that he's primed the wall. He says, my son, oh, one week later, that boy is a friend of mine, committed suicide. Oh, fathers, be careful, provoke not your children to wrath, bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Be godly, be Christ-like, to the degree you've given over to God, God-soaked in the Bible and prayer daily, you will be able to live that and have discernment when to keep quiet, discernment when to discipline. Don't lose your children to offense, sir. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned in the home especially, sir, to your family before you lose them. Be careful. Separation through salvation, separation from our loved ones through foolishness, and they rightfully separate themselves from us, sir. Tragic to me, tragic. Then there's another point, the tragic fear of being separated here on earth through doctrinal differences. I've seen children who loved their father, today they went into some charismatic movement and began to speak in tongues and have all these manifestations and their daddy didn't want it. They couldn't work, even if they were disinherited from their father. They couldn't look at their daddy without hatred. You can be separated here on earth through religion, through the doctrinal differences. Oh, beloved, be careful. Be careful how you can become estranged from your family, from arguing and radical differences that they might be involved in. You have to work through something when that comes through. When that happens, oh, and there's separation through exclusivity of religion. And the sect suddenly takes your family, ostracized through exclusivity, through extreme views held by evangelicals who are a sect. They talk of salvation, but they will separate you from your loved one and think it's God's will and treat you like they would treat Satan himself with such hatred and contempt. You dare to have contact with your loved ones and they're everywhere, so be careful. You better pray a lot for your children, not to lead them to some sect, exclusive sect, that thinks they're God, little gods that can't make a mistake. You will suffer with such a separation, the terrible tragedy of being exclusive, being separated, separated from our loved ones. I'm just throwing in a few thoughts on these pages. All who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Did you ever look at that verse? But the next verse is a revelation. All who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution, that's a promise. But evil men and seducers, impostors, heretical impostors as Christians who are just heretical sect, they shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. They honestly think they're serving God. That's sad, but they'll take away your loved one. As cruelly as you could ever imagine could come upon you if they, if your loved ones somehow are swallowed up with a sect, an exclusive sect who are so deceived that they're right and deceive even your children. Oh, be careful of these dangers of what could separate you, but be careful that you don't wipe your hands of them in shame and weariness. Thou hide not thyself from mine own flesh. No matter what your flesh does, as Isaiah 58 verse seven, against you, so love, compassion, but never compromise to win them back. But your duty is to win them by your life and your conduct, sir. That eventually what is able to function left of their consciences will realize that this is true Christianity, what they see in you. I could go on and on, separated by sects. I preached in the Dutch Reformed Church once, one of the largest in our country, a godly young fellow. And he was the talk of the town, and it was a blessing to be with him. I prayed and he was sold. Many in that town find Christ. To this day, they walk with the Lord, say to his ministry. I was able to preach there what they call Pentecost and the Dutch Reformed Church where they, Andrew Murray started this week of meetings where people of God are under the word to seek God every year. Now, that man, revealed even by me, weeping to show today is one of the most dangerous sects I've ever known in my life. And he is in our country with an enormous following of people, writing books. What goes wrong? Somebody once said to me, and I said, how can a person who preached truth that was genuinely someone of God? What? A godly man said, pride, it just takes pride at some point, and you can lose everything, discerning the truth. You leave your right, you become a total dangerous sect. Be careful, you people sitting here, who you go near, who appear like the Old Testament, you know. The vow was made that they wouldn't be, and then they reveal their true colors. Be careful how many come up to you as if they're true Christians and godly, quoting Christians, even speaking, quoting Bible verses, even speaking about something, and they're not. And it comes out, sir, the danger they are in. They destroy the left wing. And you know what it is to be separated here in a tragic way, tragic way. I've known many, not hundreds, but I've known many who I have stunned at their godliness and ability to preach the gospel with truth, quoting verses that suddenly shook me and I aged materially, and it came out that with all that truth, they had all this error that they weren't talking about, and how many have suffered, families being separated from their loved ones. And they believe, deceiving and being deceived, a tragic thing, you know, separated from our loved ones, from divorce. My wife's mother said, the most important choice you will ever make apart from seeking God's salvation is who you choose to marry. Because someone says they're saved, you tell your Bible and go to a good church. Don't get married the next week. I knew a young godly man who did. His honeymoon, she left him. And no one's ever seen her again, not in a pair. Know who you marry, give God time, and be sure that it's God's will. I was with a dying man this year, and I prayed for him. He said a staggering word. He said, I was always wanting to go to the mission field, desperate. When the Lord spoke to me, my heart and reasoning one day in a staggering way, he said, my mission for you is to love and care for your wife. He knew how he loved her as his first calling. Not the loss, but to obey what God burned in his heart. And all he wanted was to serve God and listen to God. He said, no, my mission is for you to love and serve your wife. His wife said she did everything, he did everything, to such a degree that when he lay dying, she didn't even know how to drive a car. He didn't know how to use a bank card. He so protected and loved her, but was she treated with such love and loyalty? You wouldn't judge a man for being, for obeying God. So marriage is a beautiful thing. If you don't put the loss in China before you do, the love you need to show your family, to keep them. Oh, I can tell you how holy a man is looking at his wife's countenance. A great preacher said to him, looking at her countenance, maybe I've got so much here. No, separation from our loved ones for all eternity. Christ's return, a death. Separated from our loved ones here on earth through salvation, Christ warned. There are you and many hundreds in your country who've walked up to me over the last 20 years of my coming to your country. Their families refused to speak to them for years since they got married. It is their religion, they felt this child was betraying them. You can be separated, you foolishness. But you aren't persecuted for righteousness, right? To follow un-Christ-likeness and bordering on carnality in the way you treat your children and your wife and send them to hell. But lose them because of your folly, not because of your righteousness. Be careful of that danger. Separated from exclusivity from sex that can walk up to you in a Bible and quote every verse you can quote about salvation. Like those who deceived, that child that deceived the Israelites became the Israelites' worst form in the flesh right throughout the history. Today, some are separated. Can we stand, please? Father, take this message in every heart of the unsaved, the family grown for, that we'll be separated for eternity if they die. A death, separated, never ever to see their loved ones again in a way that we can honestly comprehend. To be joy, to those that Christ returns right now to be left behind, separated from their loved ones for all eternity apart from some incredible transaction that God might give to be returned and takes away their loved ones. Separated, a death, separated here on earth to the gospel, to be hated more than any human on earth will ever hate me. My own son, my father, as God warned. Separated from exclusivity. Those that come in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous, help us all no matter what we fall into a category concerning these things. Whatever category or facet we embrace of the sermon. To seek the God for what is needed desperately. In Jesus Christ's name, amen. Now beloved, in one second this whole sermon could be buried by one person here who's out of touch with God, who makes life after such gravity. You might be the one person the devil knows is gonna start joking. And the voice of God gone and perhaps never ever to return. Be careful what you do with this message, sir, young boy. Be careful what you do now with this message if you need to seek God for salvation and you don't. Can you honestly think you have anything to tell God as to why for all eternity whatever he's gonna throw, you need to be careful what you do with this message. You need to go to your loved ones and say, forgive me where I failed. It wasn't through righteousness. If you're against daddy, mommy, it is through my foolishness. But in the end of the times I'm begging you. Be careful what you do with this message. You people who could be easily swallowed up. The imposters. And find out it wasn't of God. They were of the devil. And it is your loved one. Yes, it's a different message, isn't it? That what you do, sir, after this message, even how you speak and make light to God's watching, God's watching, so is Satan. So be careful what you do after this message. There's no appeal. But you're not gonna see God tonight. I doubt you ever were in your life about this thing.
