Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Transcription
When anyone receives revelation in the Word of God, it sometimes conflicts with what he has previously been taught. This causes you to have to deal with old traditions or wrong teachings. These tapes may contain some new light from God's Word, and it may be opposed to some traditions you have previously learned. Therefore, follow through these messages in your Bible, in sequence, in order that you may be able to make a choice for the Word of God, rather than the traditions of men. This is tape number nine in a series. We urge you to listen to all the tapes in this series in numerical order, so that the whole teaching can be received and understood. Listening to a part of this series, or to the tapes out of sequence, can lead to a misunderstanding of the nature, the intent, and the importance of this series. ...scripture that you may want to write down. I want to tell you something. There's the Israel of God. It's been one since Exodus. You know that, don't you? And I want you to know the Israel of God, those who've made Jesus Christ Lord of their lives. Amen? Now, in Galatians 3, and I'm going to be using some types and so forth in the Old Testament, and as long as your mind's running historical, you're not going to see any life or future in the Word. You understand? Now, let me tell you something. This Word... Now, I want you to look at me. I haven't told you where to turn yet. This Word, all the way through, has a historical revelation. It has a personal revelation, and it has a revelation to the Church. Now, if you only look at it historically, it doesn't have any life in it. It doesn't have any present, it doesn't have any future. It just... Are you hearing me? Now, so we see in Galatians 3, 26, 27, 29, if you belong to Christ, then you're Abraham's offspring. We also see in Romans 2, 28 and 29, Bob has already read that, that a Jew is one who is inwardly circumcised in his heart. Isn't that right? Not outwardly. Now, this is... And now, we also see in Romans 11, 19 through 23, the Jews were broken off, they do not continue in unbelief, they're grafted back in. That's Romans 11, 19 through 23. We see in 2 Corinthians 5, 16, 17 and 21, that when you make Jesus Christ Lord of your life, of course, that's when you become a Jew. Is that right? And then old things have passed away, all things have become new, because you become a new creation. You're not the old creation, you're a new creation, which Jesus Christ is the first fruits of. Is that right? And we also see in Galatians 6, let's just read it. Turn to Galatians 6 quickly. Galatians 6. Galatians 6. We see in 7 and 8 about sowing to the flesh or sowing to the Spirit. If you sow the flesh, that means how do you sow? The words that come out of your mouth, they come from your heart. If you sow the flesh, you reap corruption in verse 8. If you sow the Spirit, you reap eternal life. Now verse 12. Verse 12. Those who desire to make a good showing in the flesh, that's religion, they try to compel you to be circumcised. In other words, be like them, simply that they'll not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. They don't want any of that persecution. They only deal with blessings. For those who are circumcised do not even keep the law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised or embondage their works that they may boast in your flesh. And that's exploit you as 2 Peter 2 teaches us. That's how false teachers and false prophets, they boast in your flesh, they exploit you. Verse 14. May it never be that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ through which the world has been crucified to me and I the world. You're dead to the world. The world is dead to you. For neither is circumcision, verse 15, anything, nor uncircumcision but what? New creation. Is that what we are? I know what the rest of it says, verse 16. And those who will what? They're going to walk by what rule? The rule is being a new creation, what's going to be upon them? Peace. And mercy is going to be upon them. Upon what? This rule of God. Amen? Well, I think it's pretty good, don't you? And see, you're also told in Romans 9 that there's a flesh Israel, verse 6 and 8, and there's a spiritual Israel. Let's just look at it real quick. Romans 9, verse 6. But it's not as though the word of God is failed, for they are not all Israel who are what? The sin of Israel. Now, there's a children of promise and there's a children of flesh, right? Neither are they all children because they're Abraham's descendants, but through Isaac, this is a children of promise, Abraham and Isaac, your descendants will be named. That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but it's the children of promise regarded as descendants, which we see clearly we are the children of promise. We're Abraham's seed. Jesus Christ is our Lord with the Israel of God, with the Jews, Abraham's sons and daughters. Now, I'm not going to turn to it, but in Hebrews 12, 22, 23, 25 through 27, we see the church is referred to as Mount Zion. It's referred to the city or heavenly city or heavenly Jerusalem. We're supposed to be in the heavenly Jerusalem, aren't we? The city, the General Assembly and the church. We see in Acts 28, 23 through 27 that they were persuading concerning Jesus from the law of Moses and the prophets. They keep on hearing, but they're not going to understand. This is what Paul was persuading them from the law of Moses and prophets about Jesus. This whole Bible, front to back, Genesis and Revelation is a revelation of Jesus, isn't it? Now, let me just give you some of the types for churches. Zion is sometimes referred to as bride, virgin, sometimes referred to as a mother, which is a bride. Jerusalem is called a type where it would be sometimes Israel or Jacob or Judah. Sometimes the General Assembly or a city. In many cases, this might be a fortified city or fortified tower because people find security, which Jeremiah 7 calls this house in which you trust because that's where their trust is. We know they're different. You know Egypt's a type of the world. There's many types for the powers of darkness. Sometimes they're referred to as adversaries, sometimes serpents, sometimes the thief or wolves, wild beasts, and sometimes beast of the field. Not every time it's mentioned in a word. Sometimes they're referred to as scorpions or lions. Not every time. Or young lions. You know that I told you the Holy Ghost is a fire? The spirit of the devil is a fire. They're also sometimes referred to as strangers or birds of the sky. Now, we're going to be talking tonight, or begin tonight, about Babylon. We're going to see that Babylon is the church of the last days. We've already seen something in Revelation 17, which we'll need to go back there. But Babylon's a harlot. She's adulterous. And we've already looked at James 3. We saw that you speak blessings and curses. He says it's not supposed to be this way. This kind of wisdom is not that which comes from above, but it's a world, it's the flesh, and it's demonic. That's what's behind it. When you speak slander and condemnation and judgment, and you judge others, you take the place of God. Every relationship you have, it has the approval of God in it. You don't judge it. You judge righteousness, but you don't judge people. You don't know where God has other people. Amen? So when you judge, and you speak a judgment from the flesh, you're agreeing with Satan, because he's already doing that to them. And so anyway, you speak blessings and curses. We saw furthermore in James 4, 1 through 3, that there's disorder, and you don't get your prayers answered because your heart is still living for fleshly desires. In verse 4 it says you're adulterous. It's a harlot. Anyone who walks after the flesh, or parts of flesh, still lives for it, they won't put it to death. Flesh always loves the world. Flesh is hostile to heavenly things, but flesh loves the world, which makes you a friend of the world. So when you love your flesh, and you won't give it up, and you want to practice sin, you're really loving the world. I mean, you're a friend of the world. And God says if you're a friend of the world, you're an enemy of God. Now I want you to know that's Babylon. Babylon loves the world because she takes the things of God, and she does it in a worldly way, used worldly principles, which we're warned about in Colossians 2, 8, to not be taken captive through traditions, philosophy, or intellect, or the principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. Now, if you will please, I want you to turn with me to Revelation 17. And once again, I'm just going to refresh your memory here in Revelation 17. And I want to begin by saying, Jeremiah went before God, and he said, you know, God, do you have me preaching gloom and doom? And you know, I'm not very popular with these folks. They're hating me. They're mocking me. Now let me tell you something. We have a message of repentance. And I want you to know I enjoy myself with the Lord. And I want you to know more joy comes with more repentance. So I'll start by telling you that God loves you. I mean, he really loves you. And I think he's done some things around here to kind of confirm his word to you. He sent his word to heal you, didn't he? But he does love you. Now, he also says something about you. There's another side to him loving you. He says if you love him, if you really love him, he's going to know it. Because if you really love him, you'll obey the word. You'll walk in covenant with him. Now, don't figure another way, or you'll get another gospel. You might be in Babylon. So he says, and if you'll do this, he'll keep you from stumbling. He'll make you stand in the glory of his presence, holy, blameless, beyond reproach, with great joy. The only wise God is your Savior, who is Jesus Christ, your Lord, and to him be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time, now and forever. He'll keep you stumbling because he's stronger than anything that can come up against you unless you are an unbeliever. Now, if you walk in defilement in your heart, and you won't cleanse your heart, you're walking in unbelief. Because you're not believing God. You're not believing Jesus. It's everything this Bible says he is. Now, it doesn't matter what the world says or tradition says, philosophy says, or anything else. I'm telling you, God is stronger and bigger than anything that's standing against you. So you just separate yourself by people that's not seeking light like you have. Now, I want to qualify this by saying this. I don't think none of you have all the light, do you? So what if we get a little light in here? What are we going to do? Now, this has caused some people who have not been good stewards of the Word, because they've taken a thimble full of truth, and they've gone out to judge other people. Now, you can separate yourself from unrighteousness when you see somebody's not coming to the light. But see, before you ever judge, you need to be going, we need to be going to one another in liberty and freedom, to give another brother an opportunity to come to the light. Amen? Now, I'll tell you something, folks. When you judge someone else, I mean you judge righteous things. You know if things line up with the Word. If they don't line up with the Word, you're free to talk about them. And you can bring up the things in the Word. All right, then, if the man on the other end doesn't respond, he's got a problem with God. You've done your part, haven't you? Did you point it out? Well, what if you don't point it out? Well, I think you're wanting somebody else to prove more than you are God. Is that right? So, while we're dealing with someone's facts, are you following me? We're going to deal, we're going to need some people to help us with the blogs, aren't we? Because, folks, can I just go ahead and tell you, we're coming out of Babylon. We're coming out of Babylon. Now, I want to say this one more time. Take the Word to someone in love. Don't never take the Word to someone in the wrong spirit. If it's not in love, it'll never work. You'll tire down more. And I'm going to tell you something that you'll do when you walk around that way. The torment will increase and increase on you. You take the Word of God and go in the wrong spirit. You know how I know I've done it? Well, when you take the Word of God and you go in love, love never fails. And then that's how you win a brother. Now, folks, the fact that we don't do these things is the fact that we haven't understood what the powers of darkness was doing. Because, you know what? If all of us put everything on the table and all of our motives are just Jesus, when you put them up on the table, you know what you find out? You get to find out the lies the devil's been telling you about me. See, they divide our relationships. And when you put it up there, we find out and we expose the devil and how he works. But as long as people keep them inside of them and they won't put them out, won't act like a lamb, they won't act like a wolf, they hold on to lies. And love and peace and truth does not prevail. And that's why. Now, listen to me. That's exactly why the body of Christ does not fit together. And I didn't know that until just then. That's why. What is called the body of Christ. Or island. Because they'll not put the word of God in the middle and say, Hey, brother. And put it up there. And because if you love the Lord with all your heart, brother, and I love the Lord with all my heart, our ambition is to be like this word, isn't it? That's how you know the body of Christ. John 3 said they'll come to the left. Amen. So we have to deal with everything as unto the Lord. And we speak as oracles of God. Amen. Is that right? So now judgment is very clear. God's the one that sits on the throne, not you or me. Is that right? Now, let's just say if you go to someone. And they don't receive you. God is still the one on the throne. He's the one here. He's watching his heart. He watch your heart. He's the one that takes care of it. Isn't that right? So what we're learning right now, how to walk in love in the midst of these things. And when we put the word and you, what do you think is going to happen when you go to someone in love and you put the word out there? Do you understand how God is going to work with that kind of atmosphere? Isn't it? What he's going to get all over that person, isn't it? Unless they're rebellion. And it's going to be so easy. And we just going to just get freer and freer and sit together and love one another until we won't see but one thing in each other. And that'll be Jesus. Because when we get like him, we see him as he is. Amen? Whew. Boy, isn't that good? Thank you, Lord. I like that. Boy, that's precious. Boy, I'm telling you, God, it's something, isn't it? Well, Revelation 17. And now we saw that in verse 1 that they're going to judge a great harlot. And verse 2, we see what she's doing. Now, we know she has a gold cup. We're going to see it later on. She fills people's hearts with abominations and ungodliness. Verse 2, Now, look at me. When people receive this teaching, look at me. You can receive the Word of God. You can take it to heart. That's how you eat it, right? I mean, it's kind of a new wine right here, isn't it? Babylon has a wine too. And when you drink her wine, it does not conform you to godliness. So what are you doing? You're staggering and stumbling in spiritual darkness because you drink false teaching, another gospel. Are you following me? And that's what Babylon is. She leads you to another Jesus. So we see there in verse 4, There it is. There's that gold cup. What's that gold cup full of? It's full of the abominations and of unclean things, of her immorality. Now, once again, well, we're told to come out from the... To not be unevilly yoked, come out from this to them if people won't come to the light. And see, now, don't you ever come to me and act like I'm the Spirit of God and tell me something. You better be led by the Spirit of God. I'm not your leader. Jesus is. Amen? So you make sure that you walk in the right spirit and you have a lot of grace. You know that people are coming to the light because, I mean, a lot of people, some people have a lot more to overcome than others. Isn't that right? But you just know some coming to the light. Amen? And after a while, when you see somebody's not coming to the light, just figure that they're just going to... Well, you'll just see. No problem to see. You don't have to go get somebody to vote on it. You can tell it. So, you drink a cup full of abomination. What do you get there? Unclean things. You're not to touch what is unclean. And you're supposed to cleanse your heart from all defilement, 2 Corinthians 7, verse 1. And verse 5, upon her forehead her name was written, a mystery. It's Babylon. That's the great mother of harlots, of the whore church. She's a mother of harlots and of what? There it is, abominations of the earth. And people think they're coming to God and they get another Jesus, another gospel, and another spirit. Now, I want you to turn with me, please, to Jeremiah 51, please. And let's look at this cup some. Jeremiah 51. Folks, do you think it was just real worthwhile just to spend a little extra time to just praise and love the Lord tonight? I want to remind you again. Let me just pass this by you one time. When you're praising and loving the Lord, if there are any thoughts in here, in your mind, telling you how spiritual you are, you're in the flesh. Let me tell you what you are. You're zero and you're getting demons. Amen? You know, just learn to deal with these things. See, somebody being this kind of a fix and don't even know it. We're not ready to get a bucket of rocks and do them in yet, are we? You don't stone them? You catch somebody like that? No? Well, let's kind of help them, too. Amen? Now, in Jeremiah 51, verse 7, I think I'll start in verse 6. Flee from the midst of Babylon, and each of you save his life. Do not be destroyed in her punishment, for this is the Lord's time of vengeance. You know what it's the time of vengeance? You know, that's what all Revelation's about. It's vengeance for what? You know, he's sure it is, the temple of God. He's going to render recompense to her. Babylon, here she is, the same one you saw in Revelation, has been a golden cup in the hand of the Lord. If you care to look in Ezekiel 44, you'll see that Lord lets people stand up and give false teachings to test the hearts of people. He'll let people receive false teachings and go to hell, because in 2 Thessalonians 2, if people love signs and wonders more than they do the Word of God, and he lets a diluting influence come upon them, he says they're perishing, so they'll believe a lie. That's what Isaiah 29's letting, those that draw near their mouth, no heart far from him, he lets the spirit of sleep come up, and he hides all discernment from him in 29, 14, all discernment's hidden. So he'll let, he permits Babylon to take this gold cup, and if that's where people's hearts want to go, look at me, look at me, he'll let you, he'll go ahead and let you, if that's where your heart is, in unclean things, the world, the things of the world, if it's, you know, God says you come to him with all your heart, but if you, you know, if you think he's going to come up and be one of, he's going to, he's just going to be one of your idols, you're fooled, you didn't make it, but you just, he'll let you go ahead and drink from that, because it's your heart, because if he has all your heart, you're going to come to him with all your heart, you're going to come to him with all your mind, all your soul. You only hear the second verse of that? If you're not doing that, you're not coming, because when you won't come with all your heart, that means you want to hold on to an idol or two. That's not good. It's not good. Now, so he'll let Babylon, if you want to drink out of that big old beautiful gold cup, you can do that. Now, Babylon's been a golden cup in the hand of the Lord, and what's it doing? It's intoxicating all the earth. How's it intoxicating? Look at me again, folks. You know, in the last days, you better not be drinking with a drunkard. You're warned about it. It's intoxicating. See, they stumble at noonday. That's one of the curses in Deuteronomy 28. What's that saying? At noonday, the most light part of the day, you're stumbling in spiritual darkness. That's what he's talking about. That's drunk, spiritual drunkness. Now, the nations, in verse 7, have drunk of her wine, therefore the nations are going mad. Let's look at verse 11. Sharpen the arrows. Fill the quivers. You know who these arrows are, don't you? That's when the Lord removes the hedge. Here they come. They're the arrows. The Lord has aroused the spirit of the king of Medes because his purpose is against Babylon. What's he going to do? He's going to destroy it here, and that's exactly what Revelation is talking about. It is the vengeance of the Lord. It's vengeance for what? I can't hear you. Look at me. He gives you a temple, and he wants to give you love, joy, peace, long-suffering goodness, and you don't want to enjoy a pleasant land or a pleasant temple, but with your heart, your land invites Satan to come in and pervert and defile the temple of God. So that's what you get. You get the thief who comes to kill, steal, and destroy because you want to defile the temple and walk in rebellion against God just like Satan did. You sure do get him. Now, in verse 13, O you who dwell by the many waters, that's Babylon, abundant in treasures, though God's many nickels, noses, and numbers, your end is come. The measure of your end, verse 14, the Lord's host has sworn by himself, surely I'm going to fill you with a population like who? I can't hear you. I wonder who those are. Listen, folks. Come here. Look at me. Somebody's not looking. Why not listen to me? I've shared this once before, I believe, but you know that Egypt, Nebuchadnezzar, who is king of Babylon, another one is the king of Egypt that they were holding the people of God and they were making them bricks and straw. Slavery, didn't it? Moses, who is the type of Jesus which we read when we were looking in Acts 7, he came to lead the people out, didn't he? And he had the word of God and he came to lead these people out of slavery. May I tell you something? When they wouldn't receive the word of God, what came on Egypt? Plagues, didn't it? Is that right? Plagues came on them. Have you ever noticed these same plagues are over in Revelation? Who do you think these plagues are going to come against? Because you're told very plainly in Revelation 18 that you come out from the midst of Babylon, do not participate in their sins, that you will not receive their plagues. They're the ones that caused division and hold the people of God in captivity. They won't let my people go. What have they got them doing? Making straw and brick, building up the flesh and producing the fruit of the flesh. That's Babylon. This is Babylon that we're reading about right here in the Word. So when you see the locusts, would the locusts come and get Siegfried? Honey, they're coming again. Can I tell you something else? They're already here. They're already here. So he's filling a population like locusts and you know who those locusts are, don't you? That's how they come in, dwelling place of demons. Revelation 18. They're going to cry out with shouts of victory over you. Now look at them right here. Look what the Lord says about them in verse 20. He says, You are my war club, my weapon of war. With you I'll shatter nations and with you I'll destroy kingdoms and with you I'll shatter the horse and its rider. With you I'll shatter the chariot and its rider. With you, demons, powers of darkness, I'll shatter man and woman. With you, demons, I'll shatter the old man and the youth. With you, demons, I'll shatter the young man and the virgin. With you, demons, I'm going to shatter the shepherd and his flock. I'll shatter the farmer and his team, the governor and his perfects. Isn't that a pretty thing? Verse 27. Lift up a signal in the land. Blow a trumpet. Does Revelation talk about any trumpets being blown? Do you believe any trumpets blowing today? Blow a trumpet among the nation. Consecrate the nations against her. Summon against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Meni, Ashkenaz, Zephortli. Locusts, there they are. Consecrate the nations against her, the king of the Medes. Look at verse 29. So the land quakes. Now, folks, how many here know the flood it is talking about? The flood is the powers of darkness. How many know this? Hold up your hand right there. You'll see it in Revelation. Let me just show it to you right over there. Hold your place right there and turn over to Revelation 12. Verse 15. Now, everything that God has the real thing of, Satan has the counterfeit of. And we see in verse 15, And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman. You know who this woman is? Church. So they might cause her to be swept away. What? With the flood. Now, what kind of flood? May I ask you something? Is this Bible here, what, is it referred to as water? Why did this, is he talking about this water river coming out of Satan's mouth? The torrent or river coming out of Satan's mouth? Sure. He has a river of words and they're just opposite of what this word of God said. And it's a flood of words and he used it to sweep people away. In a flood of rebellion. Amen? Now, continue to hold your place in Jeremiah and turn with me back to Luke 6. I want to show you this too. I want to show you what the earthquake is. I'm going to show you what the earthquake is. Luke 6. Now, we see in verse 45, the good man, the good treasurer, his heart, he brings forth what is good. Now, that means what's in his mouth, what's in his heart comes out of his mouth. So he brings out good things if Jesus has his heart. But the evil man is living after rebellion, the heart. Now, the evil treasurer, he brings forth his evil for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart. So that's how you know someone by their fruit. You know what's in their heart. You know them by their fruit. Now, I'm going to tell you something, folks. You know what's in someone's heart by where you hear what comes out their mouth. And you will know. You know you can hear motives. God, the Spirit of God, has pointed out. Here, I'll show you. You can hear pride. You can hear selfish ambition. You can hear anger. You can hear the things that take the Word of God and point them somewhere else. You can know a false prophet by his fruit. But see, you're not going to know it until you start walking in this. Are you? Because the Spirit of God is not going to show you. But we see the two men right there. And then we see verse 46. He says, next verse, good question. Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? Well, you get to see these two trees. One bears good fruit and one bears bad fruit. And Jesus has this one in a bad fruit. Why do you call me Lord and you're not doing what I say? And I don't have your heart. The proof is what's coming out of your mouth right now. It's not mine. So we look in verse 47. And he gives the example of these two trees. Everyone who comes to me and hears my word and acts upon them, I'm going to show you, is like. Like a man building a house who dug deep. He laid his foundation upon the word of God instead of another gospel or another doctrine. Or men, intellect, principles of the world or anything like that. This man, he hears the word of God and he acts upon the word of God. His foundation is on the word of God, the rock. And then here they come. And when the water erodes, there's a flood. The powers of darkness. And the river. That's a river. It's a river that comes out of Satan's mouth. That's the same river and flood. It comes to test your heart. That's what 1 Peter 4, 12 is showing. The fiery test expected. It burst against that house and it could not shake it. Why couldn't it shake it? Because it had been well built. Now, what did this flood and river do? I can't hear you. It comes to what? Shake. It tries to shake you loose from the word of God. And shake you. And if you're not on the foundation of this word right here. This man couldn't be shook right here. Because he's standing on the word of God. Because he hears the word of God and acts on it. Amen. You want me to tell you what that shaking is? Are you ready? It's an earthquake. It comes to shake foundation. The powers of darkness come to shake loose. Whatever they can shake loose. And anything that's not here gets shook loose. Let's see it some more. Look at verse 49. The one who's heard the word of God and not acted accordingly. He doesn't act upon the word of God. He's a hearer. It's like a man who built his house upon the ground without any foundation. And then the river burst against him. That's Satan's river of words. Immediate collapse and ruin of that house was great. Because why? He doesn't stand on this word of God. He's got him a false security somewhere else. He's got himself a false. He's got himself another security. Another foundation. Now. Let me just show you this clear. Now that's an earthquake. That's when they come to shake the foundations of everyone. You see it again in Hebrews 12. Turn over to Hebrews 12, please. Hebrews 12. Hebrews 12 and verse 25. See to it that you do not refuse him who is speaking. Because if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape and turn away from him who warns from heaven. Do you think this word of God has a lot of warnings in it? If you don't heed these warnings and heed the word of God, what do you think you're doing? You'll find another security besides here. You're not acting on the word of God. And his voice and his word shook the earth. That's the trumpet, folks, when his word comes to shake it. Have you been shaken any by the word of God? But now he is promised saying yet once more, I'm going to shake not only the earth but also the heavens. And this expression yet once more denotes that he's going to remove those things which can be shaken. Now what happened to that man over in Luke 6? He doesn't act upon the word of God. He collapsed, didn't he? And great was the fall of this man. Is that right? His ruin is great. Because why? When the shaking, the powers of darkness come to get his heart, God didn't have his heart. So they just moved him and the flood swept him away. Is that right? So, yet once, and so it denotes he's going to remove these things which can be shaken as of created things in order that those things which can not be shaken are the only things that's going to remain. Well, why were that close? I'm not going to tell you that. I'll get off my thing right here. Let's go back over to Jeremiah 51. So this, what did we just read? He said, you're my war club. You're my arrows. I'm going to rouse the spirit of the mead. Is that what he said? I'm going to fill you with a population like locusts. And he said, I'm going to shatter. You're going to be my war club. I'm going to shatter man, woman, old man and youth. I'm going to shatter young man and virgin and shepherd in his flock. Is that what we read among other things? Is that right? Well, that's exactly what he's going to do. So he said, you better blow a trumpet in verse 27 and tell them. And then in verse 29, we see this earthquake. So the land quakes and rise for the purpose of the Lord against what? Babylon? They stand. They stand. And to make the land of Babylon, what's he going to do? Make it a desolation without inhabitants. Now let me ask you something, folks. Look at me. What do the powers of darkness, when they come along with their river of lies and words, if you're not standing on the word of God, they make you desolate. No water, no word, no fruit. You're a dry branch. And then when you're a dry branch, dry branches, what do they do? The powers of darkness come and cut you down. And you put in the fire. What do you think that fire is? It's them. You burn up. You know why? The problem is your heart. God destroys everything from the earth. They won't walk in love. Front row, back row, platform, wherever you are, I don't care what kind of part you play, if it's not love and come to the Lord with all your heart, I'm going to tell you something, folks. You're in deception and obeying to God. Let me see the shovel up your hand. Now listen, when they come and talk to you and they get your heart acting on their words and things like that, they move into your life, folks. Stained glass and buildings don't keep them out. Do you hear me? So, we look at this, continue there in verse 13. The mighty men of Babylon have ceased fighting. They stay in their strongholds, they say. Their strength is exhausted. Now, let me ask you something. Is that what the powers of darkness do and weaken you, folks? How many of you have noticed, since we've been praying and taking authority, that you have a new strength in your body? Hold up your hand right now, that strength has been coming back to you. I mean, you're dragging your tracks out. Well, see, this just moves you forward and they just move you over more and more and more and more. And see, men become like women. All your strength is gone. Well, I could get in that to a bunch right now, but I'm not going to get off the word. But their strength is exhausted. They're becoming like women, weak. And what does the next part say? Their dwelling places are what? Set on fire. That's the branches. They come to burn you up. Are you hearing what I'm saying? That's what we saw in Psalm 74. The sanctuaries being burned to the ground and the roaring in all the meeting houses across the land are being burned up. They are the fire. The Holy Ghost, the fire. You see how it's used there. You know which fire you're talking about, don't you? What is a dwelling place? Hey, folks, this temple you have is either a dwelling place of the Spirit of God or it's a dwelling place of the Spirit of the Devil. There's no neutral ground. And when they say the Spirit of God won't stay where the Spirit of the Devil is, yes, sir, you sure are right about that. Yes, sir, you have. And you can just defend that old babbling doctrine all you want to because you sure have got that part right. They won't stay where you're not overcoming them. But the part, I mean, that God will come there and that Jesus will come there and you possess that land. But when you decide in your heart you want to keep it and practice it and you won't turn from it and you think Jesus is going to be on your isles, you're deceived, he's not Lord, and you're not saved. What do you think about that? Now, we see the bars of the brigade are broken. Now let's go over to Revelation 18. Revelation 18, please. Revelation 18, verse 2, And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen away, fallen or fall away, fallen is Babylon, the whore harlot church, the great. She has become a dwelling place of demons. Well, now, does that sound like it's good for a place to become a dwelling place of demons? Does that sound like a very good security? Do you think it sounds like there could be a little deception going on there? Babylon covers all this, but if you find out there are any demons there, she covers it up with whitewash over it. If you start dealing with them, then you have to, it's better to justify it than it is to deal with it. Never resist the devil when you're walking in rebellion and you've got gold cups to drink out of and you enjoy immorality and abominations to God or in your flesh and you're hostile to God. But anyway, it's a dwelling place of demons and it's a prison of what kind of spirit? Unclean spirits. You're to come out in the midst of them and do not touch what is unclean. Amen? Is that what your Bible says? Unless you've got yourself another gospel. Now, verse 3. For all the nations have, there it is, drunk of the wine. Now, there's that gold cup. Are you hearing me? It's a gold cup full of ungodliness. It's doctrines that do not conform you to godliness. The drunk of the wine or the cup are teaching, and here's what she has, passion of her immorality. We know in Galatians 5, that 24, those who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. But anyway, she teaches passions and immorality. And the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with it. She's in love with the world, in bed with the world. And the merchants of the earth, that's a business, men. I mean Babylon builds after the flesh, brother. Everything that makes it look good has become rich by the wealth of her sensuality. You better believe it, because they build these things, and that's how they entice and flatter people, exploit people, and get them in there, and use the things of God, and use people to exploit them, and build other things besides the things of God, because what do they build them to do? Folks in Babylon don't produce the fruit of the spirit. They produce the fruit of the devil and justify it. Amen? Let me say it again. They produce the fruit of the devil while they put together their straw and brick. Now, verse 7. To the degree that she what? See, Babylon uses the thing of God to make a name for herself. So she glorifies herself, and she lived sensuously. I did the flesh, feelings, led by the impulses of the flesh. And to the same degree give her torment. Now that's the power of the darkness. The hedges down on her. The torment's there. Demons aren't blessings. And they're opposites of curses. To the degree she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her this torment and mourning. See, there it is. How you judge your judge, right? What you give is what you get. It's poured right in your lap. Amen? For what she's saying in her heart. Now, the heart's the issue. She's saying in her heart, I sit as a queen. I'm not a widow. I'll never see mourning. There's no demons can be on me. I can't have any of these things. For this reason, one day her plagues are going to come. Pestilence and mourning and famine are going to be there. What's a famine? That's a famine of the word. Mourning is suffering, and she will be burned up. There's the fire. For the Lord God who judges her, she judged. But God is strong. Amen? Now look at verse 20. Rejoice her over her, O heaven, O you and you saints. This is a real saint and a real apostle and a real prophet because God has pronounced judgment for you against her. Now, for the real prophets and saints and apostles, God has pronounced judgment. Now look in verse 23. And the light of the lamp will not shine in you any longer. The light of the lamp is the word of God and the voice of the bridegroom. Folks, that's a word. That's Jesus. And the bride will not be heard in you anymore. The words of Jesus. Jesus is not going to be there. For your merchants have the great men of the earth because all the nations were deceived. They were deceived. People were deceived by your sorcery. And in there was found the blood of the prophets and the saints and all that had been slain on the earth. Why? Because when you teach somebody a form of godliness instead of godliness, when you teach them doctrines that do not conform to God, you shed their blood because you bring curses and torment and death on them. You have them eat death. And that's what the gold cup abomination of Babylon teaches. Now look in verse 4. And I heard another voice from heaven say, go back to 4, come out of her my what? Circle my people. My people come out of her that you may not participate in her sins and then you're not going to receive of her what? Plagues. Do you see that now? Now turn with me back to Jeremiah 9 and we're going to get a little picture of this here. Jeremiah 9, please. Jeremiah 9. We're going to look and see what this looks like. Jeremiah 9. I'm just going to read a lot of scripture to you right now and I'm going to let the scripture. It's just easy to follow. Now verse 2. Jeremiah 9, verse 2. Oh, that I had in the desert a wayfarer's lodging place. We're going to see the harlot, the whore church. That I might leave my people and go from them. But all of them are adulterers. Mark that, harlots, adulterers. An assembly, or congregation of treacherous men. And they bend their tongue like a bow. That's their mouth. Lies and not truth prevail in the land. And that's what comes out of their mouth for they proceed from evil to evil. And what's that? They do not know me, declares the Lord. Here they are to come together in a little fellowship. Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor. Do not trust any brother. That's not love. Because every brother deals craftily. You can't trust them. Every neighbor goes about as a slanderer, their mouth slandering. And everyone deceives his neighbor and does not speak the truth. They tarp their tongue to speak the lust of the flesh, speak lies. They wear themselves committing iniquity. Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit and through this deceit of the flesh, and you know in Ephesians 4, I think it calls it the lust of deceit. Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit, through deceit they refuse to know me because they love this deceit more than they know the Lord. So they don't know the Lord. Is that right? Now look at verse 8. Their tongue is a deadly arrow. It speaks deceit with its mouth one speaking peace to its neighbor, but inwardly, inwardly in his heart he is set in ambush for him. Shall I not punish him for these things, declares the Lord, on a nation such as this? Shall I not avenge myself? Now, look at me in Jeremiah 23 quickly. Jeremiah 23, verse 1. Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pastor. How do you scatter them? Make them worldly. Now verse 14. Also among the prophets of Jerusalem I've seen a horrible thing. Now what has the Lord seen here? The committing of adultery. There it is. And walking in falsehood. Falsehood is flesh. Traditions. Walking after traditions. And they strengthen the hands of evil doers or those that walk after the flesh or rebellion that no one, what? No one repents and no one turns back from his wickedness, do they? Now are you seeing that? Why? Because when you have when you have the doctrine of carnality or ungodliness you don't have to turn back. Amen? Okay. All of them have become to me like Sodom and their inhabitants like Gomorrah. Now, I want to tell you something. That is rebellion before God, isn't it? Now look at verse 16. Thus says the Lord, a host, do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. Don't listen to the words. They're leading you into what? Futility is when your heart lives after the flesh nature. They speak a vision. It's not from the Lord. It's of their own imagination. It's not from the mouth of the Lord. It's not the word of God. They keep saying to those who despise me. Now the ones that despise the Lord who do not obey the word of God. Isn't that right? The ones that love the Lord obey the word of God and the ones that despise them do not obey the word of God. Isn't that right? Okay. And the Lord has said you will have peace. And that's what they promise. You have peace. And as for everyone you just keep walking in the stubbornness of your own heart. You just keep walking there. It's all right for you to walk there and practice rebellion to God. It's all right to eat off the tree of death. You surely shall not die. Peace. Safety. And they say calamity will not come upon you. Now that's the abomination that Babylon teaches so people can walk in rebellion to God. You follow me? Okay. But who has stood in the counsel of the Lord that he should see and hear his word hear the word of God who has given heed to his word and listened behold now here they come the storm of the Lord is gone forth in wrath. And you know who the anger of the Lord is. It's when he turns loose the powers of darkness. Is that correct? It's gone forth in wrath even a whirling tempest and it's thrown a swirl down on the head of the wicked or ones who are obeying the God this storm is. The anger of the Lord that's Satan the powers of darkness will not turn back until he has performed and carried out the purposes of his heart. Now in the what? You think we're in the last days? In the last days you're going to what? Clearly understand it. And do you clearly understand it now? Shake your head. Amen. You clearly understand it now don't you? Okay. Now I didn't send these prophets preachers but they ran I didn't speak to them but they prophesied just like that one in Matthew 7. He prophesied and did miracles and cast out demons in the name of Jesus but he practiced sin and Jesus said I never did know you. Wonder who's working with him. It wasn't the spirit of God it was the spirit of the devil to make him look good and people to follow and walk the same way he walked. Now 22 But if they had stood in my counsel then he would announce my words to my people it's the word of God that turns people's hearts back it's not our words. And then it would have turned them back from their evil way and from the evil of their deeds. I'm going to tell you when you teach no fear of God or watered down word nobody turns nothing but rebellion. Now verse 31 Behold I'm against these prophets declares the Lord they use their tongues and they declare the Lord declares Behold I'm against those who prophesied false dreams declares the Lord and related them and they lead my people where? Astray is that exactly what 2nd Corinthians 11 says the powers of darkness are used in service of Satan disguised himself in service of righteous and they'll lead you astray with another gospel another Jesus huh? Right there it is they're going to lead you astray how are they going to do this? By their falsehood you can just write traditions there and the reckless boasting sounding good drawing your heart to these things that look good and said look here remember in Jeremiah I started to say Jeremiah my goodness Matthew 23 it's talking about that flesh church of Pharisees says told them that outwardly you look good outwardly to men but inside it's full inwardly it's full of flesh indulgence or dead men's bones said how are you going to escape the sentence of hell? See this is people that live like the flesh they do boasting and then they draw you with sensuality out of the flesh to teaching and so you can look good and have you look good and give you a false security while you're in sensuality or walking out of the flesh do you hear me?
