Hunger that is in thy people that has caused them tonight to hurry home, get ready, come out in this evening that's not the easiest evening to come out on because of the good rain. We just thank you that your people have gathered here tonight and we have gathered here tonight to hear what you have to say to us Lord. Lord you have a messenger brother Milt. I just want right now Lord to thank you for him his willingness to to give up more time this morning and to minister at Merritt Island and then to turn around and do it again here tonight and I want to ask your special anointing upon his body as well as in his mind that the spirit might be free to flow in and out and through him to us and Lord tonight we come with repentant hearts, hearts that say Lord we're willing to have our minds changed to anything that's your mind and you just show us and we'll receive it. If there's sin show it to us we'll confess it and forsake it. Lord where you want to move us into new areas move us into new areas and we just pray tonight that you'll give us attentive ears. You told us to take care how we hear and what we heard and tonight we choose to listen to what the Holy Spirit is going to say to us tonight. Lord we come as needy people we want to be lights bright and shining lights in this dark generation we want to be like the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord you know I've told you today Lord that I'm probably the most needy person in this entire meeting and I I'm looking to you Lord in my own life and in my own heart to meet some very special and needy needs in my life that I may glorify you more fully. How I praise you for your goodness your wonderful work to the children of men to us and to others our Holy Spirit come upon this dear brother tonight as he exalts Jesus and draws us together into the likeness of Jesus in whose wonderful name we pray amen. This is brother Mill Green from Fort Worth Texas formerly from Cleveland Tennessee. Thank you Peter I sure do love you brother and this is very significant to me to get to be here I know a lot more about you and you do about me I've been here before and it was just a few years ago it seems like that I was 43 years old I was lost and I was dying I didn't know the Lord I just had open-heart surgery and part of the surgery they didn't complete the surgery and part of the surgery they had completing was even working and I was a dying man my heart had stopped twice in coronary care the doctors had done all they could for me and I was in home and during this time when I was at home that I would I would get on the floor at my hands and knees such fear you see that was on on me because I knew there was a hell I knew there was a God and I knew I didn't know him and I listened to my thoughts I used to think everything that went on in my mind belonged to me I thought all these thoughts and my thoughts see I couldn't even forgive myself and I didn't believe God could forgive me because I knew I was the rottenest person that ever lived I knew me better than anyone and I go to sleep at night and I watch my wife go to sleep and I was just like you would tie something in a knot and I was afraid to even go to sleep because I would think this is a night I go to hell and in God in his grace so I've been a mockery of God all my life and see everything folks we've honored men and look toward men but God in grace that I can't comprehend and understand after a few weeks he totally came into my life Jesus Christ became Lord of my life and totally changed my life I woke up in the morning a totally different man well I still had the situation to deal with about dying and I didn't know anything about the Word of God but I always figured if anyone made anything he could fix it and so I just trusted the Lord just a simple trust because I knew something tremendously wonderful it happened in my life I knew it was different to think at all the brokenness and I probably had one of the most broken lives of few people you've known it's really true but to think that I could step over into another world which I found myself in and for 43 years had missed this and hadn't seen it see I'd looked at folks I'd looked at religion I remembered things like when I was a little boy in a church where the pastor one of the deacons wanted to fight the pastor and things like that so I after when these things would come to my mind see I I didn't take my problems to Jesus I took them to the world and many other places and so there I was 43 years old a dying man the Lord changed my life and I found an interesting scripture you know when you when you're dying you can get real interested in what God has to say about healing and I got very interested and I found some verses in the Bible that I wasn't too easily talked out of I mean if it wasn't God that was it that's a good place to be in and so I found this scripture where you'd be anointed with oil and the prayer of faith will restore not maybe perhaps could be or when it gets 70 degrees said it would heal you forgive all my sins I like that that's what I needed and so the church at the time where I was going to they hadn't come to the place where they had believed that scripture at that time but there's a pastor sitting here tonight he was evangelist at the time and that's how I got introduced to brother Peter and you here is through Farrell Fisher and so we just decided that he would anoint me with oil and we made appointment this particular day and I was to meet on the houseboat and he and another brother was going to anoint me with oil yeah as I think back how strange this you know all of this was you know I know a good bit about healing right now but that I didn't know then oh I just have a lot of confidence in God he hadn't changed we did but anyway just a simple faith and I remember the battle that I had getting there that day but I got to that houseboat I was anointed with oil and I want to tell you folks you talk about walking death I really want and the Lord began healing me I'm healed now I was healed then and I'm still healed they said I had arteries of a 90 year old man and I don't have any heart problems and it's all the grace and a victory at Calvary everything we received through the blood and it's all grace isn't it so I was a very hungry person for the word that's a that's a good example of you know when a child is born the best evidence that you know that you've got a live child there the first thing he's you see life he's hollering crying and whatever and he's hungry and brother I want you to know that you know when you have the Spirit of God there's life in that person and he's hungry and brother I was hungry and through my association with my brother here Farrell he introduced me to this place and you don't know standing right here right now you can't know if there's anything that God used me for I'm boasting in grace but I want to tell you something you're looking at the fruit of ministry from Park Avenue retreat medicine you can't know of all the tapes of Jerry White of Danny Peter I'm not boasting in men you understand what I mean don't you understand what I'm saying I didn't come here to puff you up or anything I'm just boasting in you the sacrifice and allowing Jesus to minister to me through you because I was a very very needy person and God through this ministry the retreat ministry it made a tremendous difference in my life and I want to thank you for it and I want to tell you once again it's very significant to me to boast in Jesus to you now I want you to stand up please folks you ever hear Jack Taylor said we've been to war and not showed up right we haven't and while we haven't been showing up right there's many things that's been happening in our lives many of these things are going to be exposed this week the Lord Jesus Christ his spirit is going to show you this week we're lied to if you stay in bed very very long of the morning when you first wake up you start with the lies Satan the demons are preparing you for negative reporting for duty Satan for your day you're lied to continually off and on through the day see this word said that you take every thought captive to the obedience of Lord Jesus Christ did what this wasn't put in the Bible for us to analyze it it was put in the Bible to obey it because that means we can do it that's why it's in there now when we're in covenant see we got an enemy that's stronger than we are he's smarter he'll make you believe that bitter is sweet he'll make you think that darkness is light and the only way you can stand against him is to have a covenant partner stronger than he is and there's only one his name is Jesus now it's one thing for man to make covenant with man but for man to make covenant with God God had a few conditions that he wanted us to meet to make covenant with him and we find these conditions in this word right here what I say doesn't move the spiritual realms the spiritual worlds all around us if you could just open your eyes and you could just see it the forces of darkness and the angels mighty in strength to watch over this word to perform it we take the word in our mouth because we have his weapons we have the weapons of Lord that is covenant everything Jesus has we have in covenant covenant is not to analyze it's to walk in and so before you even came here tonight many of you had you had problems and things getting here because I will tell you one thing the enemy knows what's going to go on this week you don't but he does and he's been tremendously unusual for most places you know you already know a lot about the enemy here because of the the ministry that the freedom that you have in Jesus here but there's only one thing that moves you're not what the enemy your mind says you are you're not what you've been programmed and taught by the world you are a new creation old things have passed away all things become new as Jesus Christ is in the world so are you you are now seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus you're in not in the natural realm anymore you are in the spiritual realm so in covenant if two agreed they have to be in agreement before they walk together so for us to be in agreement with the Lord we say what he says we say what the word says and I believe this is a good place to start because isn't that what we come through come here for to hear the words of Jesus isn't that right and then when you receive this word it performs its work in you doesn't it all right now I want to lead you and simply just confessing who we are in Jesus and then we'll take authority over the heaviness and whatever and we'll be removed all of this would be removed here in Jesus name and it'll be a lot better than hanging in there won't it amen I'm the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus boy I like that I'm blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus old things have passed away all things have become new as Jesus Christ is in the world so am I I'm born again I'm kept by the power of God I'm redeemed by the blood I'm born again by the Word of God I'm complete in Jesus my sins are nailed across I'm sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise you say that like you mean it that's when it works amen I rule and reign in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ God is my Heavenly Father Jesus Christ is my Lord and I'm a product of his love I have love I have joy I have peace I have long-suffering I have goodness I have gentleness I have meekness I have temperance I have faith I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me I'm strengthened in all power by the might of the Lord my nature is divine my weapons are mighty in God to tear down strongholds casting down imaginations and every thought right here that exalts itself against this Word of God and I bring every thought captive and to the obedience of this Word all things are on the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ and he's been given to be the head of all things to the church which is its body which is us the fullest of him that filleth all in all he's disarmed all the rulers and authorities he made a public display of them having triumphed over them and in this covenant and in his word and with his name he has given me authority to tread upon all the powers of enemy all the power of enemy and nothing shall be mean harm me I always triumph in the name of Jesus and now Lord Jesus from your throne of grace I receive grace the word and the blood and in Jesus name I remove from myself and this building all oppression all the works of darkness I remove in the name of Jesus all the works of traditions legalism doubt unbelief and heresy I remove in Jesus name all the works of confusion and distraction I remove in Jesus name all the works of tiredness and fatigue I'm strengthened in all power by the mouth of the Lord I break every curse I remove every stronghold I now in the name of Jesus receive the finished work of Calvary and I proclaim my freedom in Jesus name and now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I speak peace and he watches over his word to perform it doesn't he we hug one another you'll know them how they love one another amen well I'm not just the carpet cleaner I'm the friendly carpet cleaner folks say just a whole lot of freedom not in having to be anything you know that there really is see when you know you don't have any natural ability see I couldn't even talk then you understand and it's real helpful to boast in grace because I found out the more I boast in grace the more grace I see we've honored and boasted in many things haven't we that's been part of the deception but you know I want to tell you that I'm a learner let me just tell you everybody here better be learners are you in trouble and God in his grace is just doing some real exciting things today and I think more and more you're going to see the fruit of how God has used you oh and that exciting thing to be in on what God is doing through someone else isn't that precious he tells us to be fruitful be unfruitful as walking in the word that's all the way you can be fruitful as walking covenant and multiply multiplies be a disciple you give out what's being given to you see that's a good way that you know it's come from God because you want to give it away see the devil tells us to hoard things get all you can and can all you can get right right but see the opposite of that is love where we give see that's only true see the happiest you've ever been in your life was when you've given to someone you love see it cost you something to love but see God said you give and then I'll give unto you a full measure shaken together pressed down and running over will I give whatever you give to men I'll give more to you in other words we just become a channel amen well the only important thing about me is I just have God that's not a total loss is it and they're right so that's something to boast in that's what we all boast in in it we boast in the Lord so turn with me to Ezekiel 43 and I want to just look at what we're going to be doing Ezekiel 43 we're going to begin talking about a corpse and we're going to end it talking about a corpse a corpse is a dead body now we're getting new light new light is more light there's no end to the light that we get from God and we have a tendency today that in our religious structures you know each one has this I think James I like the way he explains this you know they got their bushel over their lat right and you got comparing yourself among yourself measure yourself by their self but see I believe that I'll share many things this week that doesn't fit in the structure see it's possible that you know no structures have all the light so then we're going to have to deal with the fact and you'll have to deal in you within your heart whether you want to receive were you unwilling to give up traditions what you've been taught see this is what we do today we we we have a tendency to teach what we've been taught rather than teaching the Word of God and you're going to have to deal with in your own hearts you're going to have to choose because you're the one that's going to be responsible for God now one of the things that I want to tell you see you never get in under condemnation because anyone part of her is persuasive argument or whatever it is that they come to you that you have to believe what they say now let me just tell you something and this needs to be said because you don't you do you really don't know me I know you but you don't know me I have a big shelf oh it's it's real big it's a lot bigger than you can see right here right now and everything that anyone ever says to me unless God confirms it in my heart I do not receive it I've got that shelf I put it on and when God ever confirms it I take it off that shelf and I'll move it in my heart and in my spirit there's never been a time of false prophets and false teachings there is there is today never ever Satan has never been more successful than he is right now I want to tell you there's only one teacher his name is Jesus and you better know how to hear his voice if you don't see we do a lot of things like analyze the Word of God instead of walking it we want to speculate about it you know it's a lot better while we go do our thing but we better know his voice and the God said the way you get my approval you study the Word and you cannot know a false teacher and you cannot know a false prophet if you do not know the Word of God it's impossible it's impossible to know the difference and so there will be some things as God gives new light you know I just have a part I'm just a part I'm just part of the whole in other words when Jesus passed out the bread no one got the whole loaf did they and that true so what let me tell you something now see it's time for my part and I stand here before you and a day that we honor men see well I you know a lot of times you know have a tendency and you know these old flesh carton you know to honor the man that cares the word instead of the honor of the word see then that true so we do want to receive the word and this word will perform its work in us and what I want to encourage you is that you have a part we've all been lied to that we can't learn it has to be some man that comes to town and that sort of thing and so whether it's my part of your part there's not a big Jesus and a little Jesus you understand that I hope you do because you're going to stay in bondage if you don't understand that Jesus in you is just to see the same Jesus that worked in Peter and John and acts and everything is in me right now I see that that'll bring a whole lot of confidence to you in the Lord when you ever see this so you don't have to make any excuses about if I miss it is or are that doesn't change God does it huh right God's still God isn't he I don't want to tell you what see we're chosen if Jesus Christ is your Lord you've been chosen here many are called but few are chosen for covenant of course you're not chosen because you sit in the building you're chosen because Jesus Christ is your Lord so I want to encourage you that your part is just as much as important as my part because whether it's your part or my part it's all Jesus it never was us it's all him see that's what we've been getting in a way trying to help him out now we're going to start with the corpse and we're going to end Saturday we're talking about a corpse now look with me Ezekiel 43 verse 9 and I believe this is a message that God is saying today right now to the church you really know what the church is today we're going to find out what the church is now just go ahead and tell you where we start there's only one church now you're going to have to adjust you know that don't you over here there's only one if you didn't know that you're going to have to adjust because it's only talking about one here there's only one gospel there's only one Jesus we have many kind of Jesus today this Jesus can do this and this Jesus can do that and this Jesus can't do anything right see that's what what do you think is happening to deceive people know they're deceived what do you think's happened to people it's not in the war here's what he's saying in verse 9 now let them put away their harlotry all right what is harlotry that's loving the world walking talking and acting like the world when you walk and talk and act like the world you walk talk and act like Satan the world and his system out here is controlled by the powers of darkness and see of course we it's no problem seeing that the world got in the church now let him put away their harlotry and here it is the corpses of their Kings you know what that is that's just pure old dead leadership now that's where we're going to start and that's where we're going to end the corpse you're going to see a beautiful corpse Saturday a dead one you're going to see a this is going to be such a real thing in your life the corpses of their Kings far from me and then I'll dwell among them forever as for you son of man you described the house to the house of Israel in other words son of man you described the house to the house today tell them now see the house today look at me the house today the church today probably thinks that the house looks like this when in reality it looks like this and he says you go to this house right here and you describe this house to them let's go on that they may be what ashamed now I want you to mark that ashamed when I make emphasis on some words I know where I'm going it's all right to mark in your Bible because when you go back over it it's gonna be cemented it's gonna be a lot more important to you later on I hope it's really important to you but it's gonna be a lot more important later on because I know where we're going and then when you come back through and just you and the Lord alone you read this word then these underlying places you're gonna stop and the spirit of God be able to quicken some things to you all right that they may be ashamed you described the house the house that they may be ashamed of their sins or iniquities that they'll be ashamed of them and let them measure this plan look here let them measure this plan of this house right here and if they are ashamed will you please mark that if they are ashamed now you know what people ever do if they are ashamed before God you know we know there's a worldly sorrow and a godly but a godly sorrow brings repentance you know I watch drunks cry that's worldly sorrow but it doesn't change him but a godly sorrow when you're ashamed before God that means you repent and where you repent that's not just a mental thing that's a change of heart that's a change of direction he said you go now look at me here you go and describe this house to just you you talk to this house right there and you describe this house to them and if this house is ashamed which means if they repent of their iniquities which is talking about above if they're ashamed verse 11 of all they have done and they make make known to them then the design of the house is structure its exits its entrances all its designs all its statues all its laws go ahead and make it known to them if they repent and turn and write it in their sight so that they may observe it's those two words are what I can't hear you he's talking about observing all of it isn't he you tell him that he might observe you know what they're saying yet you observe the whole counsel of God now that's important that's a lot different than going to and picking and choosing or analyzing and knowing about God than knowing God now this is important that you may observe its whole counsel its statutes and what didn't say to analyze it said to do it that means to walk in it right that's covenant this is the law of the house I want you to mark that law of the house it's the entire area on the top of the mountain there's your leadership again here the entire area on the top of the mountain all around shall be most what holy behold this is the law of the house what it is his holiness in an interesting thing see if the powers of darkness who have just come and gone as they wanted to go the church has been so today has been so fearful and intimidated by the devil couldn't even talk about him and they've been prevailing and when you can't prevent them from doing something they come and pervert it and folks they have come and they have perverted salvation they have perverted healing they have perverted deliverance they have perverted righteousness they have perverted holiness they have but we see you don't even talk about him anymore it's kind of as if God you missed it a mile with these sort of things and so now we come back to the word and when you know the truth the truth what to set you free so we're going to come back to the word and this is going to be exposed the powers of darkness and and it's going to expose some things in their own life idols or whatever and we're going to deal with them and when you do you just gonna be free when the Lord shows them to you now I want to ask you something is there really a spiritual war today there is a really a spiritual war well what do you think the enemy has been doing while we've been asleep over this period of time you know they're in the last day there's going to be a people that's asleep right kind of falling away let me ask you something when you're you ever get in a boat and you was busy doing something and then you looked up again and then you found yourself over here didn't you right you drifted and see that's what that's how the enemy does he drifts and drifts and drifts further away that's how he works and this is what he does he drifts further and further away from the Word of God well do you think did you ever notice how the Pharisees reacted to the Spirit of God and the things of God like when you just talk about demons or when you talk about healing whatever in the word have you noticed that didn't they always react to that what you notice the same thing happening today do you think the church today kind of reacts the same way to many things a lot of things just like the Pharisees did see those same Pharisee demons are still around and it's interesting thing about the Pharisees the ones that didn't get saved if they didn't change and turn from what they were in you know they went to hell and there was just a lot of whole lot of darkness a lot of deception with them well let me ask you something could any of the church today be deceived like the Pharisees what do you think's happening when you're in it when when you have the powers that aren't just feeding computer from a day one and there's never there's never even knowledge and and no discernment discernment so far in word isn't it what do you think's happening let me ask you something do deceive people know they're deceived let me ask you something else does a false prophet know that he's a false prophet he absolutely does not does a false teacher know he's a false teacher this false teacher a false prophet would fight you over what they what they believe in the Pharisees asked Jesus in John 9 we're not blind to are we and we're not going to turn there and Jesus said since you say we see your sin remains now this when a people comes to where they they know it all without having to come to the Lord say they they've got sin see because no one has all the light and but they thought they already had all the life and they had a religious structure and they had a box and petitions for God to fit it I'm fit in and say God you can come down here and you can fellowship with us if you act like a Pharisee you'd be a nice Pharisee and then we'll fellowship with you well who do you think's in deception do you know that God lets people believe lies do you know that when you believe a lie from whatever source you you receive it from whether it is from the demon the powers of darkness where it's from man from wherever you receive it you know what you're really doing God looks at it as you rejecting truth when you receive a lie wherever is that because you know why don't you remember what he said he said I am the head of every man I'm the cover I'm the headship in other words and here's what he said he would do to you he said I will lead you into all all all all truth he says my word is not for private interpretation in other words I have not shown anyone anything I won't show you it's not for private interpretation he also said I'm no respecter of any people now it's a question of whether you want to believe God believe this in the Word of God and come to God or whether we have to receive and trust men for all we're going to receive see see we hear the Lord in speaking through a man see he's just an instrument so we honor the Lord in the man instead of the man there is a difference now I want to just read something to you that a friend sent to me and I'm gonna read a little slowly because I want to I want you to get it because this is a speech by John Robison to the Pilgrim Fathers as they prepared as they prepared to come here to America this John Robison had all these people before him and here is what he said to them and this is real significant and it shows him that things just haven't probably changed that much brethren we're now quickly depart from one another and whether I may ever live to see your faces on earth anymore I want you to listen to this the God of heaven only knows where I'll see you again I charge you before God and his blessed angels that you follow me no further than you have seen me follow the Lord Jesus Christ is that good now when you leave here folks what he's saying I just had part of the light you just what walk and what light you've seen me walk in but you get more light you follow me no further than you've seen me follow the Lord Jesus Christ I am verily persuaded the Lord has more truth yet to break forth out of his holy words in other words you didn't get it all from me folks in that real real good that he'd admit that that he didn't have the whole loaf I bewail the condition of the Reformed churches back then they had some problems with the Reformed churches who will go present no further than the instruments of their Reformation in other words they won't go any further than the instruments that set it up when he set it up they said that's it they just ain't no more they'll go no further the Lutherans cannot be drawn to go beyond what Luther said what Luther said they said that's it that's all there's no more and so we got a petition for God here what Luther said see whether part God with whatever part God is revealed to Calvin they'd rather die than embrace something that come over here from Calvin because Luther already had it all and the Calvinist you see stick fast where they were left by what the great man of God who yet he saw not all things Calvin didn't see all things though they were burning and shining lights both of them in their times yet they penetrated not into the whole counsel of God they didn't have it all but were they now living would right now if they were living right now embrace further light as that which they first received of course the wild people that fallen after them began setting up gathered around the teaching instead of gathered around this structure see this is what has happened to through the ages now you know God gives light and he's giving light today and God wants to move somebody move us up here there's no end to it and then he moves us up to around here and lets us see some light and we start looking at all this and we see him and when we take our eyes off of Jesus and we look around and see all these other folks and that haven't got the light that we've got and then we say God we'll take it from here and you know what happens a little spiritual pride see it becomes what see that's the enemy gets you but gets it perverted and then they gather around the light what teaching they have right there and maybe started another denomination you know or something like that and then the hearts gathered around the teaching instead of the rise on Jesus you know even the Lord said rejoice not that the demons are subject to you but rejoice that your names written in heaven well what about what Wesley see he had some light do you think he had did Wesley have all the light I can't hear you did does the Methodist have all the light I just need to be asked didn't it well let me ask you something the Charismatics have all the light Pentecostals have all the light Baptists have all the light does the seminary have all the light do you have all the light who has all the light who you got your eyes on where's your heart that better be where you're receiving your black isn't it do you realize that each religious structure they think it has all the light one who promotes that you know if an enemy has free reign to just just put input up there said they're going to know them how they what love one another people of God are divided they compare their self among herself and measure themselves by their self they're at war with flesh and blood even taught to hate one another I asked him this morning you think well we're not taught to hate hate anyone well if you don't love somebody what do you call it Jesus said you're going to know them how they love to see well when you understand covenant then you'll understand what the enemy has done to divide now I'm going to tell you what's happened no smart folks have come along to figure this out this has just been a process that's been a process that started here several years ago but I'm gonna tell you something Lord is doing he's leaving us out of darkness and I want to tell you it's been very very dark as a matter of fact I look back each year and I laugh back at the things that I thought I knew a year before at how differently are and we continue walking the light we get more light and next year I'm going to be laughing at what I think I knew then and things get easier they get better you don't get out of the war but I think in the brother Danny about some of the things you know that ministering to people you know I see someone that has suicide problems or depression whatever I know just exactly see I've learned I know because I know just how to get right to it right then you know that people in depression miserable that just lock their steps up in closet even get under beds and things like that miserable see the next step from depression is suicide just just destroy yourself and that's all the money see but we've been programmed you know to hang in there rather than deal with that part of the Bible because we've left the enemy we've been passive see the gates of hell is not supposed to prevail against the church I want to tell you that the demons been tearing the church doors down because every time people come together I want to tell you see the word atmosphere is a demon at this here one of the two and they just bounce all the walls laughing always laughing and gleeful causing people they controlled the whole world out there is like puppets they don't know it oh we're going to look at those things in the world this week and when you see I know much of it you've seen we might get covered some things you haven't seen but when you have understanding I'm going to tell you something folks when you fear God you're not afraid of anything else I'm going to tell you what see we've got this reverse it's not act like the world out there fearing demons see I don't go around thinking about demons I go around thinking about Jesus I mean that's a spirit of God to protect my mind and everything and whether I keep my eyes on Jesus I can't a part of a teaching in this word and there was a split and then in Cleveland Tennessee there became two world headquarters of the Church of God there was another reaction to part of a teaching in this word and so once again some people split off and then in Cleveland Tennessee there became three world headquarters of the Church of God there was another reaction to part of a teaching in this word here and some more people split off and in Cleveland Tennessee today right now there's four world headquarters of the Church of God each one thinks it has all the light four denominations and all of the reaction now let me tell you something whatever denomination you're in is started the same way is that a little sobering where's your heart every denomination has started as some reaction people abuse and merchandise truth so we want to react to it and we won't have any part we won't come over here and line up with it in words see we we don't get our eyes on Jesus line up we want to be analyzed and be just spend our time with the people and the ones that the devil is going to use to add to abuse and merchandise the truth of God so we just won't have any part thing to do with that part of the word because someone else is abusing they always people around the devil always has people use abuse truth do you understand it since the Catholic Church that just being a reaction on down to right now you know that's a truth do you understand there's only one church boy it's good to get free some of you get free over this some of you just have to hang in there a while because if you're you have selfish ambition jealousy but see they didn't have it because they understood covenant in Acts and that's something that God's bringing us to understand his covenant and all these things have been a reaction if I work for God and you work for God I'm a subject of the Lord Jesus Christ is that correct are you a subject of the Lord Jesus Christ now if I get the Lord has said I'm the head of every man is that what he said he's the headship I'm the yeah I'm the cover of every man then there's a wife that's order of God God Jesus man woman children and that correct all right now he said I'm the head of every man and he said I'll lead you in all truth which means my heart is going to this is that right my heart is going to Jesus I'm trusting him I'm looking to him but then if my heart starts looking at some other authority now they are is authority in Jesus which I'm going to talk to in just a minute so don't get a get ahead of me but if I get the authority get in subjection sees a difference in and see it being submitted to the Jesus in one another and being in subject to one another you understand see I'm I'm subjected to the Jesus in you and you're subjected to Jesus in me but only as much as you are walking and following Jesus now there is a difference but look here if God tells me something and then I have to check with this before I can do what God says and you know that's a good idea God but let me check over here because I want to please them more than I do you are you seeing where your heart is see that's being a subject well how much you think you're going to hear from God why have you ever wondered why we haven't been led into all truth there's been something wrong now let me tell you about this when you get free I let me just tell you something you're looking at a free man I'm in bondage to no man or nothing except Jesus I'm sure many of you are too and it's a beautiful beautiful place and boy and I'm tell you what the Spirit of God just gets all over me but if something starts drawing my heart to get my heart and to cut me up now see I come here and you know who I'm in subject to the Jesus and your pastor here I'm subject to the Jesus in him see because he's a spiritual authority it's a Jesus but see just because something goes by titles and names see you're supposed to know the difference you're supposed to discern the difference what's Jesus and what's not because see like in the books of Acts it was all Jesus receiving the glory is that right is Jesus getting into the glory today or is it a day when man is honored in the church today is that correct all right am I gonna let my heart go to honoring man so you that gets authority kind of perverted is that correct no honor Jesus and so I recognize see this see today congregation are helped together by making them fearful you realize that yeah don't you go over here don't you do this don't you that's that's really true well wonder you wonder who's helping whole congregations together with fear do you know what the congregation is supposed to be held together with truth you know that's the way I see the church you take a magnet do you ever see little slivers of steel and everything get around a magnet you see a ball you bang just come together that thing see that's truth and this is what I see happening to the church because see I don't make any secret about it I only fellowship now I I associate with adulterers murderers and different things as I walk through this world I'm living in this world even adulterous is a pretender obedience to the Lord but my fellowship my fellowship I spend my fellowship with only those who come to the Lord with a pure heart I don't make any secret about it that's the only ones I fellowship with because everyone else is tearing me down see that's why I said not to be unevenly yoked this is why we have discipline and things like that which we've the enemies conveniently got us to look over see so I make it I make I make no secret about it so there is I'm submitting to the whole body of Christ but as I'm submitted to the body of Christ I'm submitted to the Jesus in you because I want you to be a success in Jesus because I want to see Jesus glorified because Jesus is my Lord and when you get around folks that won't make Jesus their Lord and you pick it up just like that when there's selfish ambition there's jealousy are this I mean my we us is trying to get into it instead of you if you get that kind of congregation it shows up you know it's talking about the terrors and the wheat and said you're going to know the wheat because of the grain which is a fruit see so yeah that's why we supposed to know false teaching false prophets you're going to know them by their fruit well the powers of darkness by getting us compare ourself look at if we in these religious institutions we compare ourself among ourself and measure yourself by ourself which later I'm gonna look in in Corinthians we're all time come see we're not measuring up to the here's a yardstick right here is that correct see when you're measuring yourself by yourself and you don't need the Word of God so just put it aside see so this is what the powers of darkness have successfully done and they moved in church to get them to boast in their work and all their mind to get their minds and their thoughts and everything on their works and they start making the names for the self have you noticed that people in ministry make a name for themselves see if I'm making if I'm gonna have a ministry my ministries gotta look good and if I'm making a name for my ministry or making a name for myself or making a name for my church I'm not making a name for the Lord Jesus Christ because I go around boasting in my church and our works and everything and I'm not talking about the works of the Lord there is a difference do you see what I'm telling you now we're going somewhere so what the powers of darkness as we boast in herself and in our works has successfully done they've moved the church into pride and I want to just share some of the things I heard Fred Wolfe share and boy I just witnessed and I just heard the Lord speak through this man see a church full of pride is more concerned with what people think than what God thinks don't you think about that the church is more more concerned of what other people think than what God thinks you ever notice when God uses you or something a testimony what if what immediately fills your mind what people think and that right wonder who's talking to you see it the question is what's God think a church full of pride holds up their image and respectability in a religious community a church full of pride always wants others to think they have it all put together a church full of pride refused admit they can't meet their own needs that's the world out there pride can I just go ahead and tell you see the enemy has why he's tearing the church tearing the world up the people in the world he's teaching them pride he's tearing them up inside see you and and they cover it over pride covers over there's coming apart inside and we sit in churches coming apart and just like the world out there hanging in there we cover up what the enemy is doing to it all this stuff he just laid off you know people come and sit in churches and lust toward the choir can't even look toward the choir and try to follow the Lord Jesus Christ you know you just don't go tell someone well I lusted toward the choir today you don't discuss these these ugly ugly garbage things that the enemy just lays on us see because of what we've been programming pride see pride won't let what we want everybody to know you you you have it all put together see that's the world in church you have it all put together a church full of pride does not see their own faults but they're always looking down the street see never looking right in here see all my faults right here my problems are right in here pride is always looking somewhere else a church full of pride is always right it can't be wrong see that's the way the Pharisees were they were always right a church full of pride refuses to admit their need there's a in other words there'd be a problem in our need well let me tell you what the church is I want you to hear that church is needy and afflicted today and no problems gonna meet their needs only God can meet their need and God's not gonna meet the need until the church admits it's spiritually bankrupt in other words like God said repent don't make mental ascent I mean change any heart and when you call it what God calls it then God can work our church full of pride is busy making a name for themself instead of the Lord Jesus Christ they're caught up and boasting their own works rather than being caught up and boast in the Word of God do you know what brokenness is brokenness and you've seen people brokenness and when a person comes to the place where he thinks more he's more concerned about what God thinks about him than what people think about him and then that's when brokenness comes into his life see what time we start 630 well yeah we've got just a few minutes and we're going to take a break here well let me ask you something God wants to do some things in the church today I don't ask you how can he how can God work through a church if the church is wiser than God you know it was it was from this place right here that I heard Peter and I never forgot about it he said now God you just come on down and cooperate with us you see what we're trying to do for you here I mean God has to come on our terms see the church today don't want to be expression of Jesus it wants to be expression of itself because that's what he's making a name for amen now I don't want you to turn there because we're going to turn there later but you know and you remember in 1st Timothy 4 it talks about deceitful spirits in the last days and so let me just stop and ask you something now see we we base a lot of where we stand and walking everything on logic instead of the Word of God isn't that correct so I'm going to ask questions then we're going the Word of God and we'll tear down some this logic and traditions and everything but it says deceitful spirits in the last day is going to cause people to fall away and everything well let me ask you something can a deceitful spirit deceive you certainly can that's why God warned you about them a deceitful spirit can deceive you well let me just ask you another are you too smart for a deceitful spirit to deceive you no because the smarter you think they are the more deceived you are that's why God said that he'll humble the proud and he exalt the humble in other words he just moves the hedge on the proud and he say sick them and he's the one it makes a name for folks well it also says there'd be doctor doctrines of demons do you know what doctrines of demons is should you know demons can pervert doctrine well let me ask you something there's schemes of demons I don't tell you every day against you I mean you each one of you every day against you and each one of your children all of your family to divide you to steal from you to the steal your relationships one another to steal your relationship and this body right here to steal your relationship with God their schemes all the time now let me ask you something if all the theology that we have received comes from people who don't understand this scripture right here is it possible is it just possible that they could be deceived any or are they too smart do you know that in most seminaries it's only just a vague reference made to this scripture pastors here know this I don't understand it I have a friend that asked the president of a well-known seminary he says when are we going to start teaching why haven't we taught the young men here about the war they're just going out and getting their head beat off and the president of this seminary said I guess we have just been afraid of what people might say isn't that real noble huh now let me ask you something does it matter what folks say or does it matter what God says you you've got to decide well let me ask you another question does the people that represent God say what God says all right did you find anyone here had an easy time of it in this world when they start saying what God said where is all this persecution for the word's sake where is this the world hating us John 10 tells us about this enemy is killing you do you know how he's killing you I know something about it he's destroying you and your family that's part of my part I know about how he's doing his continuous every day is that he's doing it stealing a relationship where you work where you live now see once you have understanding about this then you know how to deal with it but you can't have understanding about if you don't talk you can't talk about it can you if you're so intimidated and fearful you can't even talk about it you can't well then you can't know you can't learn isn't that true well once again I want to ask you where are the people if the people who teach us don't understand any scripture where are they it's in a Bible all right then if our hearts go toward men who teach us rather than Lord then where are we see because the Lord said I'll lead you in all truth you will understand where's your heart now see we're going to come back to this because there's a focus that we want to make toward covenant tonight and when we get through covenant folks we're going to see what God says about it and after we get through covenant I tell you what what's going to happen to you this week now I'm promising you right now they're gonna be a war to just even even return here but as you sit in your seats right here folks the way the Lord sent his word to heal you not so not folks okay and you sit here your life will be changed there's some of you are Noah freedom this week that you've never known since day one many many many of you they'll be through this word right here signs and wonders through this congregation this week it always happens God always does it and you're going to know when you come to the end of this week he did it not because a man came to town but he become do it because of his word and your total focus will be on the Lord Jesus Christ in this work is that good all right now I want to ask you something where is discernment today that's in the Bible isn't it discernment see I don't guess we any need for discernment if there's not anything left to discern is there see we are explained it all the way and that true see we just don't need that anymore yes see that's some this drifting drifting and that's what the deceit of the enemy and you know that the Lord will let a deluding influence come over you when you believe a lie do you know in the last days it talks about in Thessalonians that the people's hearts would go after signs and wonders instead of a love for the truth and what the Lord said they're going to perish and he said I'm going to let a deluding influence come over you know what that deluding influence is he removes a hedge and he says sick them and they will he'll let them believe a lie now I mean when God says to come to him everything I'm going to be saying this week folks is walking with Jesus is walking in covenant I'm saying whenever you've been talking about the enemy in here and everything I'm not my emphasis is that Jesus is Lord and the only answer it's not healing his answer it's not deliverance his answer the only answer because it's walking with Jesus because you're not going to stay delivered you're not going to stay free and you're not going to stay healed if you do not walk with Jesus because he is the healer and he is delivered deliverance by man is in vain all right so when we receive a lie we reject the truth now I want to see I'm just getting a little foundation here and we're going to get into some things when the Word talks about that you stumble at noonday over and over it mentions this well now what you're talking noonday is the most light part of the day isn't it the most light part of the day you see how to walk the most light part of the day right but when it says you stumble at noonday what it's saying that you're stumbling in spiritual darkness you're stumbling you're another word you're staggering it and this is how the word refers to drunkenness because you're drinking the wrong wine the wrong teaching and that's what it's talking about in the last days there'll be people that's eating and drinking with the drunkards right see it also talks about a people that wanted in the last they want to have their ears tickled they have a lifestyle already picked out and they want to pick they get teachers to fit their lifestyle they've already got picked out that's deception and that's staggering that's stumbling in spiritual darkness now I want you to turn with me to Isaiah 29 please Isaiah 29 now we're going to look at some people here that let a they got the enemy turn loose on them starting in verse 9 Isaiah 29 verse 9 be delayed and wait blind yourselves and be blind he'll just let you be blind if you choose to be blind you'll just be blind if you're looking anywhere besides the Lord you will be blind they become what now I want you to mark this word drunk do you see that but it's not with what wine they stagger mark that stagger because you run in it over and over and over but it's not with strong drink for the Lord has poured over you or what there it is that's a spirit of deep sleep let me just tell you that's them that's not staking spirits the hedge is removed from these folks and that's that's the enemy he's poured over them a spirit of deep sleep he has shut your eyes the prophets he has covered your head the seers and the entire vision that is this book this Bible shall be to you like what it's going to be words of a sealed book may I ask you something is this book written to be understood it's supposed to be understood which when they give it to the one who is literate or educated saying please read this he'll say I cannot for it is sealed then the book will be given to one is illiterate saying please read this and he'll say I cannot read then the Lord said now I want you to mark this word because because of this this people they draw near with words that's there's a difference in godliness in the form of godliness a form of godliness is not godliness a form of godliness is deception because this people draw near with their own words and they honor me with their lip service they remove their hearts far from me see it's not with the heart this you know salvation comes many people are deceived their salvation is right there but if we're with the heart man believes into what righteousness and their reverence they remove their hearts far from me and their reverence from me consists of what that's a tradition that's handed down learned by what wrote which is just just right after that mechanical repetition just doing the same things over and over and over and over that sound familiar 14 therefore behold I will once again deal marvelously with this people marvelously marvelous and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish and I want you to watch this and the what the discernment of their discerning men shall be what as the people who draw near with their mouth instead of with their hearts have no discernment is concealed and the Lord lets his spirit of sleep say over him and they're in deception and they'll stay in deception until they repent and churned and change directions see you don't hear too much about discernment today see because the church is the most part is so deceived there's no enemy out there all we have to do is go to about every six months just say greater see this in me than he that's in the world there's more to it than that all right let's look at verse 20 for the ruthless will come to an end and the scorner the scorners are always around aren't they will be finished indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off who calls the person to be indicted by what they always have the words the scorner does and they ensnare him who adjudicates at the gate and defraud the one in right with what meaningless arguments and they don't know who's see the powers of darkness use people to bring against anyone who wants to line herself up with the Word of God see the ones that come against people who want to line their step up the Word of God the most is the ones that don't line their set lives up with the Word of God you notice that and let's look in chapter 30 verse 1 so you will always have oppression when you line because when you begin aligning your life up with the Word of God I want you to know the war is starting with you and I want you to know that the powers of darkness are use people and situation to back you off to intimidate you to make you fearful and if you've got some pride if you want to look good to the world and if you want to look good to folks you'll back away from the Word of God see that's what makes hirelings chapter 30 verse 1 woe to the rebellious churlain declares the Lord who execute a program will you rest right that there they execute a program plan but it's not mine and make an alliance and some day this alliance to be unevenly yoked or make it with the world in this case but it's not of my spirit in order to add sin to sin who proceed down to Egypt are the world without consulting me so you don't don't talk the Lord they just go the world doing spiritual things worldly ways to take refuge in the safety of who Pharaoh or Satan and to seek shelter Pharaoh is a type of Satan there that's what that's what happens when you that's the refuge of the in the safety of Pharaoh that'd be Satan and to seek shelter in the shadow shadow means the presence of Egypt for the world see when you're in a shadow of something your shadow of God the Almighty that means his presence and this is a shadow of the world you seek shelter in the world verse 3 therefore the safety of Pharaoh Satan will be your shame and the shelter and the shadow of the world or Egypt your humiliation I think a lot of there's a whole lot of going to the world today isn't it now in verse 9 for this is a rebellious people they're white they're false sons sons who refuse to listen to the instruction of the Lord they won't listen to the word they won't walk in the word they like to analyze it probably speculate about it verse 10 who say to the seers you must not see visions and to the prophets you must not preach or prophesy to us what is right don't preach to us what it right here's what they want you to do speak to us pleasant words now pastor I know these people and they don't like that sort of thing now if you keep preaching things like that we'll get another leader because we want to go back to Egypt you ever heard anything like that pastor back off the word we're going back to Egypt you're going the wrong direction speak to us pleasant words tell us on Sunday morning that we can't lose anything we never had in the first place tell us how righteous we are in our stubbornness tell us how great we are as we pursue the worldly ways and greed and we live for our carton anything rising up in you you can get free of it this week if it is prophesy illusions tell us how great we are in a rebellion get out of the way turn aside from the path let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel turn me just while we're close by in Isaiah 32 I like that whole chapter I just want to read one verse out of it you know Genesis is good too instead of taking one verse I want to read two let's look in verse 6 for a fool speaks nonsense that's just words words words and his heart inclines toward wickedness to practice ungodliness and what does he does the man with all the words he speaks error against the Lord that's very dangerous thing do folks we're kind of warned about taking to an ad in front to add in to God's Word and take him from it but he speaks error against the Lord and this is what happens it keeps the hungry person this is spiritual hungry this is not soup line bread but it keeps a hungry person unsatisfied and to withhold drink from the thirsty let's see that's what I was when I come down here I was a thirsty person I mean I was I was starved to death well I needed help and you know not only you know the tapes and things that I that I got here and everything I bought me a machine machine where I could reproduce these things and brother I hand them out all over the country I want everybody to have what I had I mean I had something good and a good sign it came the Lord I want everybody else have it you know I'd sit and listen the same tapes 30 times so I just sit with someone so they get to hear what I heard all right now and then first say but the noble man devises noble programs you see that a lot of noble programs and noble men around aren't they and by his noble programs he what he stands you know I didn't look at that this morning over there but it was close by I think if I were so close you might as well look at budgets look at Isaiah 10 might as well cover it all hadn't we Isaiah 10 Isaiah 10 verse 1 whoa yeah when God says this word whoa reckon it's not be a pretty serious thing well let's see what he's talking about whoa to those who here it is here's your budgets enact evil statutes and to those who constantly record what unjust decisions so as deprived the needy of justice may I ask you something see you you you've had you've been in seeing afflicted and needy people here being set free for years probably longer than anyone and I've seen around a long time but do you understand it the whole but the church is in bondage today folks and see why these unjust decisions be recorded people sit there coming apart and you know what someone is saying to him Jesus can't help you go to the world go to jail go the hospital go the nuthouse Jesus can't help you and that's that so it deprived the needy of justice and to rob the poor the poor is poor in the spirit that's a lost of my people of their rights in order that the widows see the widows not the bride that's a loss again may be their spoil and they may plunder the orphans that's we're talking about spiritual things here as the orphans there you don't have the Father in heaven they plunder the orphans now what are they going to do and when the day of punishment are you seeing that and in the devastation which will come from where you see that word afar don't you remember that word because the powers of darkness are instruments of God's indignation to whom will you flee for help and where will you leave your well it's not a good question see God is a lot more serious about this word than traditions have led us to believe you realize that let me say it again God is a lot more serious about this word than traditions and their forefathers have led us to believe now you know Paul had come to a place he said dad mother grandmother and grandfather worshiping in the temple it's not where it is worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ is where it is now we might have to come to a place where we find out that old-time religion is not where it was the book of Acts is it been a whole lot of deception between then and now they've been a whole lot of darkness and we're being led more and more out of that darkness and you're going to have to decide that let the Lord lead you in all life and you walk on what light you have so we've missed God but not understanding covenant that's one of the main things that's happened is we haven't understood covenant now I want to share some things with you about covenant we're good we need to take a short break I don't want I want to tell you something folks the first day or two thank you for your grace we come to receive your word and Lord we think of this word performs its work in us now Lord I give you my will that your will prevail Lord and Lord I just want to I just want you to receive all the glory and honor and Lord I just want to boast in Jesus we just want to boast in your word and boast in you Lord so now in Jesus name Lord by faith we just receive this fresh anointing Lord and I just saved the fruit the spirit the weapons of our warfare and Lord just stand in your word that we always triumph in the name of Jesus and now in Jesus name Lord you defeated all the works of darkness and so with grace the word in the blood I remove all the works of distraction and oppression all the words snatching and thoughts and blank mind and ever oppression against our minds and the hint of the word right now I remove in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and now Lord in Jesus name I speak your blessings peace grace love healing and deliverance in Jesus name well amen folks this has really been true that our traditions a lot of traditions have taught us to to analyze this word rather than walk in it and we have been over here trying to make a lot of things work in the word and trying to get God to cooperate us and get God to move and God doesn't move so what is happening we're learning something about moving over to line up with God's Word today and this learning process is learning and understanding that we have to walk in this word and John 15 it says that when you become fruitful that you ask whatever you wish and it'll be given to it you know we can pray and know instead of praying and hoping we can pray and know when we walk in this word when we walk in covenant so it's a very important thing before we that we start out now and look at some of the things about covenant and covenant is kind of foreign to the Western world because we don't we don't think and talk in those kind of terms see the real meaning of this Old Testament and New Testament right here is old covenant and new covenant see understanding this covenant right here is essential to understand the Bible see unless I understand covenant I'll walk in question about my salvation unless I understand covenant reality my prayer life will be up and down and every promise of God though is yes and amen through covenant do you know that so covenant happens when two becomes one and the Western world does not understand covenant and closest thing we have in this country to covenant is a wedding when two people are two people are married an Eastern world me and the people in the Eastern world do understand about covenant see covenant to them and to the people who lived in Bible days is a commitment to someone it's more sacred than your life it's more sacred than your honor and of course honor is a very foreign word today too but covenant is an endless partnership it's everlasting it's unbreakable and there's no changing or there's no getting out of it see God had a covenant with Adam God had a covenant with Abraham God had a covenant with Noah everything God does is based on covenant and see when we understand that then we understand the seriousness of the word and we understand how to receive from God covenant was a very not well-known thing in the Bible days and in the Bible days when let's see two people would come together to make covenant first let's just say that I was going to make covenant with Peter Lord here first I would know Peter very well before I ever made covenant with him and he would know me very well see because everything I have and am I'm giving to someone in covenant we but could to become one when we're in covenant and in those days when these covenants were usually made they would have some witnesses there and they would meet in a field and one of the first things they would do they would exchange their robe they'd have on their best rober and I'd have on my best coat and Peter would have on his best coat and we would exchange we would exchange coats Peter and I would and then this would be that I was putting on Peter Lord and Peter Lord was putting on Milton Green that means I was putting on a new identity and he was putting on a new identity we were becoming one we would exchange well back in those days they exchanged the girdle or the belt and the belt in those days wasn't to hold the pants up it was a that they carried the weapons on which would mean they exchanged strengths so as we would exchange belts all the strength that I have would be go to Peter and all the strength that he had belong to me we're becoming one and I want to tell you that this kind of relationship is a love unexplainable as a matter of fact we'll see some Bible terms about this kind of kind of love covenant love well then I would Peter and I would exchange weapons I would take his weapons and I would give him some of my best weapons which would be a symbol of all of his enemies become my enemies and all my enemies become his enemies and then there would be an animal and usually that now they cut these animals different than any other time because it was cut from the head the head was not cut off it was totally cut from front to back and it was the animal was flat and sometimes we'd get on on each side of the pieces and you would just have a wall of blood you know when you'd look at that animal that's cut into it just be a wall of blood and sometime it would walk a figure eight he'd be on one side and I would be on the other and we'd walk a figure eight through the pieces and this walk is called a walk of death I'd be dying to everything and I am Peter would be dying to everything he is and then we would become one now let me just tell you another way to say this see we want to relate to flesh and blood and you know the Bible tells you that some things about flesh and blood see these are called flesh and blood say my brothers and sisters let's put it this way my brothers and sisters would be what you would call milk brothers and sisters in other words that means that we share the same milk but see this is a much more closer relationship than milk brothers and sisters that Peter now we would become blood brothers and see when you understand this then you can understand how serious this word and covenant is and then you'll begin to understand what is available to us when we repent and are in covenant with God first there has to be understanding doesn't it so we would walk through the pieces and we would point to the pieces and we would say God you do more you do this to me and more if I do not keep this covenant in other words as these pieces are now later on this week well I'm telling you I'm free right now okay it's a lot better than that first half I'm liking this a lot better thank you Lord you're going to see terms in about have you read it before cut to pieces all right now you'll see that people who are cut to pieces in the word are people who have transgressed the covenant and this is the one that the Lord removes the hedge on and we'll get in that later because I want to tell you this is what you do when you come to God now you know Abraham you remember that Abraham walked through the pieces isn't that correct now I want you to understand something God Abraham was not seeking God God came and sought Abraham and led Abraham through a process of things so he could bring him to a place so he could make covenant with him now I think this is the way a lot of the things that the Lord is doing today he's bringing us out of darkness and trying to get our eyes off of men and things and traditions to where he can bring us into a place where he can really do some things and grace I mean he's just got a whole lot of grace he wants to put on our lives if we'll walk in what light we have now you might want to remember that Abraham he put Abraham to sleep and God what could Abraham offer God the only thing Abraham could give God is his will you understand that's all you can do is give God your love and you will of course that's what he wants that's what he wants but you know you know who walked through the pieces God did he made the covenant for both of them he walked through as a flaming torch and a smoking oven Disney did he walk through the pieces who made the covenant for us who's got the covenant with God the Lord Jesus Christ see in Adam we are cursed right and we come in Adam then we come we make covenant if Jesus Christ becomes your Lord now he doesn't become you don't get in this kind of because you're a church member or come with to a building with a seat below me you make covenant see because when you receive Jesus Christ as Lord what you're doing you're taking an oath that this is where you're going to walk it's a lot more serious than making mental assent that Jesus is the Son of God see the demons do that and tremble Peter and I would cut her wrist now we're here in a piece between the pieces we would cut her wrist and then we would put our hands together and mingle the blood which became we were coming one and in the word that the similar the word he used for that is called striking the hands and that's a symbol of us just becoming one blood and then in those days it would take darkened earth or as later on they would have gunpowder and something dark to put in this wound or this cut and that would signify right here that the covenant in other words if someone's just kind of giving me a hard time somewhere you know I just might want to just straighten up my hair a little bit here you know and everything and kind of let him just kind of see something right there and he'll look at that right there and he'll know that there's half of me somewhere else isn't that right brother there's two more fists over here so then as we would stand here and this is so important I would speak blessings over Peter as he would speak blessings over me because all my possessions that I have belong to Peter and everything Peter has belong to me all I have to do is just have a need see we're one everything he has belongs to me and everything I have belongs to him but you see what we had to do now look when we had to make covenant I had to die to everything I watched to make covenant with Peter Peter you had to die to everything you was to make covenant with me because our identities became one now this is a very serious thing when you give all your whole being over it to someone and everything you are and everything you have that I give over to Peter and everything he is and everything he has he gives over to me and we become one it's a very serious thing and I mean I want him to be serious I mean I really want him to walk in this as I intend to walk in this but what we would do when you make covenant I would speak curses over Peter and his descendants his household his children his sons and everything terrible terrible curses terrible curses if he didn't keep this covenant with me and see unlike today they had a fear well let's put it this way they had an understanding of life and death being in the tongue in that day see the people are church today doesn't understand that it's deceived about it because as we would speak these curses on each other who do you think carries these curses out see you understand today that people curse them on their own selves they curse their own children see God doesn't bless ignorance see the enemy always comes to talk to you with your mind to get your heart in agreement with me and when you get your heart in agreement with the devil he moves in so as we would speak curses on one another if he didn't keep his it was just the hedge would be down for the enemy to do all these things to Peter now you're going to find out later on we'll get into it that their curses in here their blessing and curses in the Deuteronomy 28 which you're you are seeing here today right now and these blessings and curses the blessings are for people who walk in this covenant and the curses are for the ones who do not walk in it and that's going to be interesting to you later at later on but anyway Peter and I would change names I would now be called Milton Lord Green and he'd be Peter Green Lord we'd exchange names you remember that when the father the Lord was bringing Abraham into covenant his name was Abram wasn't it isn't that right well the name of God was Yahweh and if you know that he took the ah out of his name and put it into a bra him and he put the a H he took the ah out of Yahweh and then Sari he took the ah and it became Sarah and then how did God get Abraham's name he became known as the God of Abraham and then this covenant went to Isaac and he became known as the God of Isaac and he made covenant with Jacob and he also became known as the God of Jacob Isaac Abraham now you you can understand this better if you understand that we are all children of Abraham you understand that see we're not flesh children but we are spiritual children you understand that we are the Israel of God you understand that we are if Jesus Christ is your Lord not because you're a church member but if Jesus Christ is your Lord you are the seed of Abraham it's in Galatians 3 we'll look at that later we are the Israel of God you know and we look spent a lot of time looking the other Israel maybe I think the powers of darkness like us spent a lot more time looking in that Israel instead of looking at this Israel but anyway then Peter and I would have a covenant meal of bread and wine and this bread would represent the flesh and the wine would represent the blood we would drink this wine usually out of just one cup the wine which would be a had be a symbol of us sharing this cup of cup of fellowship with one another and then I would take this bread and I would feed I would put it into the mouth of Peter which would be a symbol Peter was taking me into himself and then he would take a piece of bread and he would give it to me and it'd be a symbol of Peter coming in to me so we're receiving now do you recall when the wedding cake where it came from when they feed the cake to one another huh see that's where that was so you're taken from that's a symbol you know the man and wife and they received the cake that they're taking they were that's what marriage supposed to be you see that there was a covenant with Adam and Eve okay then hereafter Peter and I would be known as friends in the word in them and Bible this is what two people in covenant were called they're called friends I believe that's what the Lord Jesus calls us isn't he he calls us friends and friend in the scripture means someone who is a blood brother now you understand the difference in flesh or milk brothers than a blood brother right okay now this is on your notes and I don't want you to turn in Proverbs 1834 it said there's a friend who sticks closer than a brother and see that's that's what he's talking about so Peter and I'd be more obligated to Peter that I'm the flesh and blood there's no comparison see Peter and I are one and Peter would be more obligated to me than he would to be to his own flesh and blood okay because the covenant is more sacred than anything now you remember in the book of Acts where they took everything that they had the wealth and all the month they had and they took it and throwed it down at the Apostles feet yeah isn't that some strange scripture see we're going to come to a place where we act like they did in Acts but we're not going to come there to the act like of Acts until we know what they knew in Acts because it was that a good pretty good example of the church in the first chapter Jesus ascends and goes into heaven and somebody come back to kind of make it a little more modern and said let's change a few things I think these these Apostles had the best best information of how the church supposed to be don't you God's not that he's the same yesterday today and forever the powers of darkness is still doing the same thing and flesh hadn't changed either but here they did they took all their possessions do you know yeah they're not many people around where you'd want to take everything you all owned and put it at the feet of someone and know they'd be used for the glory of Jesus didn't it no because we there's something for us to know that we don't know but they did that then let me tell you why they did it let me tell you why those people were one let me tell you why they could take everything they had because they realized that they were not living for earthly things to begin with and they understood covenant because when you're in Christ Jesus we all become one now we'll get into that later on but I think real quickly I'd like to look in Genesis 14 with you at Abraham and I think this would be real helpful now you watch Peter and I make this covenant and I want you to watch God and Abraham make covenant now see listen folks it's important that you see and know that this whole Bible right here is about covenant this is what it is old covenant and a new covenant and both covenants is a covenant with God one's better than the other one but they're all became in both cases supposed to be a holy people that's separated from the world into righteousness and that's what's what the Word of God and covenants supposed to do for us we supposed to be separate we supposed to be strange folks in this world we don't walk talk and act like the world later on you'll see that everyone in this world acts and walks and talks like Satan and you'll see why and it's important for you to see that this week it's gonna make a difference in your Bible I won't tell you when you get there in the week you're gonna want to reread your Bible I promise you you might even want to quit your job and just read your Bible of course we know we're gonna have to work but it's alright to want to do that but anyway and Genesis 14 verse 18 we see Melchizedek king of Salem brought out here he brought bread and wine he's meeting Abraham now isn't that real interesting now he was a priest of God most high well let's look in chapter 15 and we see here in verse 6 and we see this repeated over I think it's Romans 4 about Abraham then he believed in the Lord and he reckoned it to him as righteousness that's speaking about Abraham and he's called Abram right here and he said to him I am the Lord who brought you out of error of the what what's that word right there Chaldeans now that's that was the people if you remember the Chaldeans were always when that when the Israel of God they spent Israel of God from right now all the way back to Exodus you see that and when the people were disobedient to God and they didn't walk in covenant God would sick the Chaldeans on them now the Chaldeans is a type of something today and I want you to remember this right here where that the Lord delivered Abraham from the Chaldeans because when you come back and reread this next week this is going to have a real interesting meaning to you who brought you out of error the Chaldeans to give you this land to what possess it now I want you to mark to possess the land right there because folks I want you to know there is a land for you to possess today there is a land for you to possess today okay now what's what Abraham here in this case asked him so he said to him and he said O Lord verse 8 O Lord God how may I know that I shall possess it in other words possess the land now I want you to know that is a very most extremely important thing as you know it's going to possess the land and this is how God replied to him he said we're going to make covenant this is what he began said we're going to make covenant that's how you're going to possess the land because everything I am you're going to be and you know what he's saying Abraham when you and me become one that's a majority that's all you need this more than enough and that's what God calls himself he's more than enough so he said I'm going to make covenant with him verse 9 he said to him bring me a three-year-old heifer three-year-old female goat three-year-old ram and a turtle dove and a young pigeon then he brought all these to him he cut them in two he laid each half opposite the other but he did not cut the birds now in verse 17 and it came about when the Sun had set that it was very dark is very dark in the day that there was a another sacrifice and another covenant kind of Calvary type wasn't it okay it was very dark and behold there appeared a smoking oven and a flaming torch which what walked our paths through what these pieces God made covenant for him God walked through the pieces do you see that on that day just so you'll be sure in the next verse we see in 18 on that day the Lord made a what he walked through the pieces and everyone has known what covenants is once again I want to tell you that's a foreign thing to hear people in the East know and understand come you go to Africa they understand covenant well in chapter 17 look with me over there a moment now when Abram was 99 years old the Lord appeared to Abram now he's still Abram and said to him I am God Almighty walk before me and be what now is that the very beginning he tells Abram as he makes covenant with him that you when you're in covenant with me you walk before me in other words in our covenant agreement and you are blameless that's the way you walk before me now who came along and said this has changed that you didn't have to walk in covenant watch what he says in the next verse and I will establish my what I'll establish my covenant after he said you're going to walk before me and be blameless isn't that right that part came first and then he said now I'm going to establish my covenant and everything in this word is yours and between me and you and then I will multiply you what exceedingly that's after you walk and you keep your agreement you walk that's the blessings that's the blessings when you walk in covenant all right let's look at verse 5 he told him no longer shall your name be called Abram but your name shall be what Abraham do you see the ah
