Welcome to the Lord's Challenge with Joshua Daniel. The Layman's Evangelical Fellowship International is a ministry reaching people from all walks of life since 1935. After a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of 16, Joshua Daniel has been declaring a marvelous deliverance from sin which is freely given to all those who turn to the loving Savior. Wherever this message has gone out, broken relationships have been restored, sickness healed, ill-gotten money returned, and these turned into givers. We now invite you to watch and receive the invaluable blessing that God has for you. In Genesis chapter 22, Abraham and the promised son Isaac were going to the place of offering which God was going to show them. And in the seventh verse, the son asked the father this question. Isaac spoke unto Abraham and his father and said, My father, and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood. Where is the lamb for the burnt offering? Where is the lamb for the burnt offering? Now the answer of Abraham is prophetic. My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering. God will provide. You know, I'm sure who could have struck upon this idea that God himself should become a person, be born of a virgin. You see, no one was ever born of a virgin. No one. That it was prophesied. A virgin shall bring forth a son. And it's amazing. All over the world, you will see Marys, Marys, Marys, Marys, Maria, Marianne. Oh, any number of Marie, the French Marie. And all over the world, you will see Marys. But do you see purity? Do you see the virginity treasured as Mary treasured it? No, we don't see that. I say, what did these people get from the Christmas story? What did they get? What are the cardinal things that you learn from the Christmas story? The purity of Mary. The virginity of Mary. The willingness of Mary to say, behold your handmaid. Here I am. Do with me whatever you please. You see, we haven't learned the basic things. And you can have a church where nobody cares for virginity. Is that the church of Jesus? Of course not. It's the church of the devil. The church of the Lord Jesus is a redeemed people. A people brought out of sin. Those that have followed the lamb. So where is the lamb? What a question. This cry, I suppose, once would have reverberated in heaven. Where is the lamb for the sacrifice? And Jesus said, I will go. I will be the lamb for the sacrifice. The sinless lamb of God. So if you turn to the last book of the Bible. In the 11th verse, 12th chapter of Revelation. And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb. And by the word of their testimony. What an overcoming power. How do you overcome? You know, sometimes we have to cast out evil spirits. I do not know at this time of depression how many people are suffering. And unbelief comes from the devil. The devil came and said, has God said this? Unbelief. So when you have unbelief coming into your heart. Then you sink. You go down. Faith lifts you. God's promise can never be broken. God's word can never be broken. Kingdoms may rise. And kingdoms may fall. But God's word can never be broken. You see, what a strong confidence that is. You see, that gives you a degree of fearlessness. You know, friends, when my father died, I was still a very young person. And many responsibilities and financial burdens came upon me. But never did my confidence in the word of God get shaken. No, I was not a very courageous person. I was not a very talented person. You see, I was not what you would call a brilliant person. Not at all. But the Lord Jesus had touched me. The Lord Jesus had forgiven my sins. And the cross, bearing the cross, had become a joy to me. That was what I lived for. Bearing the cross. It didn't bother me if my friends, other sportsmen who played along with me, were very rich boys. Millionaires. It didn't bother me. You see, I didn't care to look at their cars or their wealth. I began to look at Jesus. So I got a strong confidence that God will not leave us. My father has gone. And there are all these many responsibilities. I have to take care of so many people. But those things didn't bother me at all. You know, folks, they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. So, today, there would be many people who are opening the door to the devil. Financial difficulties. And then they say, oh, our marriage does not work. I heard of a poor man who thought the best thing to do is to get a wife from the east. At least a wife from the east would be submissive, I suppose. Whatever. So he got himself a bride. And sadly, the girl, after a while, said, Now, you can't supply me with all that I had. I am quitting. I am returning to my country. So, my dear friends, you can imagine the sorrow of a husband and how many such husbands there are. How many families like that today? Suffering because of the downturn. No money in the pocket means no love in the heart. What? What has love to do with money? Money and love never meet. Don't you know that, friends? Money and love never meet. If it is money, then you become a slave. They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. God is faithful. We must be full of God's word. The trouble today is people don't know God's word. They don't have any practical application of God's word. You know, I want to point out this Lamb of God when we come to Isaiah 53. Isaiah 53 and verse 7 tells us long 700 years before Jesus. 700 years before Jesus. What did the prophet write? You know, this is such an important chapter. Isaiah 53. If you are full of fear, study this word every day. If some demons are attacking you, study this word. 53rd chapter every day. He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth. My dear friends, how much can we do with our mouth? You know, I used to spend a lot of time as a student praying and I would pray out, you know, the cry of my heart, I would tell God. Now, I did not use my mouth to defend myself. See, today, what does it take to arouse you, to get you into an awful temper? You know, I asked in one meeting, with a large crowd of nearly a hundred thousand people, I said, all the women here who have beaten their husbands stand up. Mark you, some women stood up. As a matter of fact, quite a number. How terrible. We thought it was only the other, it was a one-way street. No, no, it's no longer a one-way street. You hit me and I hit you twice. Now, here is our Lord. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. What a victory. When everybody was saying, hey, this is a deceiver and he said he will destroy the temple and he is going to build it in three days and so on and so forth. Now, my dear friends, did the Lord answer? Before the judge, before the chief priest, did the Lord answer? No. Answerest thou nothing? Pilate asked them, Pilate asked Jesus, the governor asked Jesus, answerest thou nothing? Yes. What a victory is that. As a lamb dumb before its shearers, so he openeth not his mouth. My dear friends, we have such a savior. Really, I am preoccupied with Jesus. I want to glorify Jesus. Ah, all these little trinkets mean nothing to me. Of course, we have to pay our bills. We have to be working hard. Someone asked me yesterday, what, you are 82 and when do you plan to retire? I said, no, I don't plan to retire. As long as I have breath, I am going to serve the Lord Jesus. My dear people, I am preoccupied with Jesus. Some of these things that are happening around us are sad things, sad things. America has lost its direction and it's only the praying people, a few praying people that are keeping this country afloat. Otherwise, it is so much in debt. Ah, the picture is so gloomy and there is no way by which the policies of the present are going to lift America. No way. America at this late hour is choosing the path of proven failure where other countries have failed in their experiments and we are living at such a time when people say, oh, where is morality? Whom can I trust? And in the same country as handshake used to settle huge contracts, thousands of acres of land used to change ownership with a handshake. And we are living in such a time as this. And if we don't have a desire to lift this country, there is something seriously wrong. Are we a bunch of thieves who just want a few dollars or are we people who will lift a country that is sinking? Oh, my dear friends, are we followers of the Lamb? Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. He will take away your sin and those things that you feel you cannot overcome, your bondage, your chains, He will break. Behold the Lamb of God who takes my sin and your sin upon His sinless body. Let us pray. Oh, God, when there is no distinction between right and wrong, sin and righteousness, at such a time we look at the Lamb of God who takes away our sin and brings love and peace into our hearts. To whom can we go, Lord Jesus? Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your cross, that You died for a sinner like me to take away my fears, to deliver me from my chains, the deep evil in my heart. Lord Jesus, I look at You. Look at the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. We look at You, Lord Jesus. Oh, my Savior, have mercy upon the nations. Oh, my Father, let them see the Lamb of God that puts love, who puts love into their hearts instead of this hatred and killing. Oh, Jesus, we need You so much. We need You for our families. We need You for our children. We need You, Lord Jesus. And we come to the cross and humble ourselves at the cross. Oh, Lamb of God, set us free from this evil nature which is deeply entrenched in our hearts. We ask in Jesus' almighty name. Amen.
