Let's look to a few portions of scriptures. 1 Timothy chapter 4 verses 15 and 16 1 Timothy chapter 4 verses 15 and 16 2. Take pains with these things, be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to all. 2. Take pains with these things, be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to all. 3. Pay close attention to yourself and to your neighbor. your teaching. Persevere in these things, for as you do this, you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you. 2 Timothy 2 Chapter 2 Verse 21 2 Timothy 2 2 Timothy 2 Therefore if a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel unto honor. 3 Philippians 10-12 3 Philippians 3 Philippians 3-10 That I may know him in the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death. In order that I may attain to this. Not that I have already attained it, or have already become perfect, but I press on. 1 Corinthians 1 Corinthians 2 1 Corinthians 2 Verses 1-5 1 Corinthians 2-1 And when I came to you, brethren, I denied God, for I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 2 Corinthians 2 And I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 3 Corinthians 2 That your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. 2 Corinthians 4 Verse 7 2 Corinthians 4-7 Lastly Ephesians chapter 4 Verses 15-16 Ephesians 4-16 Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all things to Him who is ahead, even Christ. Out from whom the whole body being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each one part. Lord we truly thank you and praise you. Because as we gather in your name, there you are in the midst of us. And we thank you and praise you for you are. Now we ask you to the Holy Spirit, so that you may gain the glory. Concerning the matter of service, as we mentioned, service is a matter altogether according to our knowledge of God. It is also according to us being His disciples. If we do not know the Master, it is altogether impossible to serve God. Unless we stand on the ground of disciples, our service will never reach God. So brothers and sisters, for us to fellowship the matter of service, we must firstly see the Lord. If we see the Master, service is a natural result. If we truly are the Lord's disciples, spontaneously serve Him. We do not need to ask if there is a chance. If we know the Lord, if we stand on the ground of being disciples, service manifests from us naturally. So I truly feel, if our brothers and sisters on the matter of service, if we are not right in our service, if we are not right in our service, if we have not become a true consecrated person, this is the difficulty in the church today. So dear brothers and sisters, we must see, the mercy of the Lord, because His mercy constrains us, causing us to offer our bodies, letting sacrifice is nothing more than putting ourselves in the hand of God. We must fully consecrate ourselves to the Lord, not merely consecrating parts of ourselves. But to come out of it. That is to say, to come out of it. And this is how we begin. We will see the process for continuation of service. As we offer our bodies to living sacrifice. Then you will see, service is not to service a matter. Service is to serve our Master. For this cause, service is timeless. Service is without a venue. Service has no regard to things. Our entire life, then you will see, all these are included in the sacrifice of the Lord. So when you come out of it, it is pure. Perhaps our hearts are not pure. As I would say, on the last day they will always say, because at that time, they told me, thank the Lord. During these years, I believe, therefore brethren, I beseech you by the mercies of God, we must be righteous. We must be righteous. You are redeemed one. Have you fully devoted yourself to God? Even when you touched manna, you are still there serving. Inwardly you have served. Because you are serving your Master. In the Old Testament, God delivered the children out of Egypt. Then God told them the purpose was for him to deliver them. God said, if you hearken unto me, if you obey my command, you will become a kingdom of priests. The teaching is how to serve in the temple. The original intention for God was to save them. It is that their whole kingdom God's desire for saving them is that every Israel if you are an Israelite, saved out of Egypt. Regardless male or female, older or younger, everyone is a priest. You have a position. For you to turn yourself into a priest who does not deserve it. Within this cycle, to you, they do not represent God, they shall go all the way back to the eternal presence of God. We are all priests. We are all living souls. In God's type of spiritual house, and the to offer up spiritual sacrifices pleasing to God. So every brother and sister, we have a position of being priests. If you do not want to be a priest, then from that moment on, the priests in those times were serving in the temple. They were not in a relationship with the temple. In chapter 17, there was a Jew. He left Bethlehem. He went to look for a place to live. Where did you go? A place to live. Just in time. I have a statue in my house. I went to look for a priest. So the Levites and not a priest to the whole Israelite. The Bible says however long the temple was in silence. And the idol shall remain as one. Who is that Levite? The Bible tells us he is the grandson of Moses. Moses' son, Gershom. And you know that. So you see if a priest is separated from the temple, it becomes our service to them. We are the house of the living. We are the house of the living. The priest serves in the home. The Levites were serving the temple. We are both Levites and priests. On the other hand, we enter into the midst of the Holy Spirit. On the one hand we pray this is us being priests. On the other hand, we are there to serve. We not only daily serve, we serve every man as well. Remember, in the midst of the throne, day and night they cry out Holy, Holy, Holy The God who was, who is, who is to come. They will continuously worship Him. Our service is the same. They stand before the Lord. They represent God's original intention of creation. We want her to worship Him day and night. Serving Him continuously day and night. And also everyone is there to serve. It is not merely one living creature praying. Everyone of us is there to serve. The older ones are there to serve. The younger ones are there to serve. The newly saved you begin to serve. When you are saved for scores of years you are still there to serve. Our entire life is for the purpose of serving our Lord. Then brothers and sisters, as we command our service, are we already a vessel fit for the Lord? We see that the Lord calls His disciples. Our brother mentioned the Lord was calling Peter and Andrew. Come follow me. I will make you fishers of men. And they forsook all and became the Lord's disciples. And they were with the Lord in Brunswick. Did it start from the day they were called? That they were already a vessel fit for the Lord. Straight away they went out as fishers of men. We know for Peter to gain men as fish was not until the day of Pentecost. Three thousand fishes. But Peter, maybe there's a little bit because we can't say there's nothing from the Lord. But as the Lord trains us, on the one hand we serve. On the other hand we learn. And the Lord is always teaching. And we saw how the Lord would call His disciples. For instance, the Lord says, I will go to Jerusalem. I will be killed. I will resurrect on the third day. Peter sees this and says, Lord, never. We need to learn to serve well because of this. On the other hand we learn. Brunswickers. We need to take note how we should learn in the process of serving. Lesson number one. To serve we must learn to know our Lord. If we do not know the Master we can't serve the Master. There's no way we can serve the Master. We can only serve ourselves. Because serving to the Lord is not merely things. But the Lord has to gain your service. Service is to live out Christ. Service is to defend Christ. So if your knowledge of the Lord is very little inwardly likewise your service is also very little. For instance, you know the Lord to be your Savior. All you can do to help others is to bring others to the Savior. So you see in Christianity today because to serve is to live out Christ. It is to defend Christ, Lord. It is not to defend the Christ in you at all. How you can live out even though you can preach it betrays our way to Christ, to grow. So Brunswickers to serve the Lord we must seek to know Him well. One who doesn't serve He is one who is self-satisfied He feels he's already saved. He feels he's already saved. He's not going to hell He's going to heaven. So he's satisfied. He feels he knows the Lord well. He doesn't know Him anymore. Maybe he has a feeling. But Brunswickers if you begin to serve as you begin to serve you'll begin to say I don't know enough and you'll feel Lord, I don't have I do not afford Him a provision in me. So all that I can live out is nothing but myself. Men cannot detect Christ. You feel very weak and you are found wanting in the matter of Christ. And this constrains you to seek after Him. I remember as I first came out to service I was twenty years of age. My knowledge of the Lord was poor. Of course I knew my Lord could be my Savior. I knew a little bit of the Scripture so at a time I was serving in Shanghai at that time where was your brother? But he was very tired. But he was sick a lot. So every Lord's Day either he preached or I preached. And he was quite severe in his training of me. He never told me what I was to preach. At 7.30 a.m. he sent a note to work on. It says you preach. The other one, I come. He comes means he preaches. Do you know during that year I became an uninvolved. If you have a hard time to serve you better go back to your job and prepare yourself at the same time. You must fully devote yourself to the Lord's work. Otherwise you will be damaged because you have nothing to do. Even you do our activities it is merely activities. Having no spiritual values we must know the Lord. When Paul was writing the Philippians he was in his old age. He still said I only have this one desire to know the Lord to know his power his resurrection to be united to his top dead in parenthesis. If you do not have a heart of speaking up perhaps you are not a serving man. If you are truly serving the Lord the more you serve the more you feel you do not know the Lord in heart. There is no limit to know the Lord. It is not like you work to touch it. How much has the Lord gained and drowned in you? How much of Christ have you lived out? Help us for me to live as Christ. He was living. He was manifesting Christ not her. When men touch him they touch Christ. Those who truly know the Lord when you enter into their inner you are already touched by Christ. Because he has fully flown Christ out of you. Sometimes we have a lot of questions. When you come to a person who really knows Christ because it is not a matter of reasoning but Christ has become your answer to run to Jesus. If we are still there helping brother and sister they help them with words they help them with their hands as you help them this way. Has the brother or sister received Christ as he or her being encouraged by Christ's love? This will be a service. For us to live is Christ. For us to dispense is Christ. So we must be desperately seeking after Christ. Our heart of seeking the Lord is not enough. Much of the time we seek after scriptural knowledge but we are not seeking the Lord Himself. We need to know our Master. If we really know the Master Francis is the Lord will automatically be manifest out of you. So power of design whether in life or in death that Christ will be manifest out of our lives. He didn't care for himself. This is a real service. In our learning of service we need to know ourselves. Francis is we seriously know ourselves. The Bible tells us our heart is more exceedingly wicked. Exceedingly wicked. Even to the point of deceiving ourselves. Only the Lord can discern our hearts. So we see here we seriously know ourselves. Normally we were fully confident of ourselves. Thinking we're capable. So we do everything by ourselves. So we were inferior. So we withdrew ourselves. Today we believe in the Lord. We become one of the household of God. When we come to the man of service those who formerly were confident they were self-confident. Neither are they services. To preserve themselves. When we come to the house of God we see we bring all our natural being to the church. We figure if we have some activity that is service. We keep ourselves busy that's service. But brothers and sisters this is due to the fact that we do not know ourselves. As we serve thank and praise God. The Holy Spirit gradually begins to speak. He gradually shows us that we live ourselves as merely ourselves. Formerly I lived unto sin. Now I must live unto God. Formerly I used my intuition to sin. Now I must turn around and use my ability to serve God. You see the source remains the same. Even though the things change the source remains the same. So many Christians they say now I believe in the Lord. I shouldn't sin anymore. He uses his natural to be a good Christian. Brothers and sisters as you do it this way shortly after you are tired. To become such a good Christian do not sin. You'll be all about command. Tell the priest God You conjure up all your might to serve. The more you do the more difficult it becomes. So I often say I say a Christian who is wishy-washy he is a Christian but he does not manifest Christ. This Christian dwells in faith. But if you truly want to be a good Christian the more you try the more you become nervous. These are good Christians. But they have taken the wrong path. You haven't seen. Only the Christ who switches inwardly can live out the life of Christ. Because you scarcely know yourself. So you are doomed to fail. You have to go through much failure. Because I'm told I discover one thing that within me it dwells no good thing but a success. This is knowing oneself. We scarcely know ourselves. We feel there is so much good in us. Sure. The life that we inherited from Adam there is much sin much failure. We do not want those. But after we believe let's use what we get from Adam the good part to serve God. All who is natural not only can they not know God's will neither can they obey God's command within ourselves that is in our flesh. Well, the Lord brought us all with Him and crucified us. Galatians 2.1 Paul says I have been crucified with Christ. Now it is no longer I that lives but Christ lives in me and the one that lives in the flesh by the faith of Christ He loves me and gave Himself up for me. Sister, have you known yourself? Have you seen the fact that this old man has been crucified with Christ? Have you also seen that your natural goodness also been crucified with Christ? Have you seen your natural meekness and tenderness been crucified with Christ? Have you seen your natural wisdom been crucified with Christ? Francisus Francisus, have you seen that whatever issues out of your being cannot be pleasing to God? If you still try to live Christ by yourself you will discover what you live out is Adam, not Christ Only when you know yourself and accept the fact of being dead with Christ it is no longer I who lives but Christ lives in me Francisus In this way can we only live out Christ Not only so Even we'll see in our work it is the same principle So Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4 He showed us Daily I die So the life of Christ can be manifested in other people The death of Christ operates within me So that the life of Christ can also flow out of me Therefore we need to know ourselves We must see one day But the greatest enemy we ever encounter is the old Adam within It is our self If we can see this then can we find the correct way in service Otherwise everything we touch is work of Jesus The work of Woodhead is a double issue from the self We can do a great work and successfully Many people cannot work But they will come from the world of heaven The fire will manifest They will burn out all the woodhead sufferers Then he will be saved Though he will be saved Barely saved Francisus Today we must do the work of gold, silver and precious stone The work of gold, silver and precious stone is out of God People cannot see it But when the fire manifests The work of gold, silver and precious stone is out of God It is out of God Therefore we Secondly we need to learn how to know ourselves Thirdly On the way of separation we need to embrace the work of the cross We need to embrace the work of the cross Francisus If all we know about the cross is objective We know the cross on top of Mount Athos Yet we do not know the cross which is in me Francisus We will see We may know a lot In reality we know little A great difficulty is in service Though we know much concerning the objective truth We are lacking much in subjective experiences The Holy Spirit will take the work that is done on the cross What the Lord has done on the cross two thousand years ago Now the Holy Spirit will take all the accomplished work and fulfill it one by one He will erase the cross of Sanctum Calvata into you and me He will terminate your soulish life through the cross of Calvata He will increase the life of Christ through the cross of Calvata in you So Francisus We have this treasure in earthen vessels to manifest the exceeding greatness of the powers of Christ Francisus Earthen vessel is very cheap It is fragile But thank and praise God We have a treasure within This treasure is the Lord Himself May God has put the life of Christ within But it is of God The Holy Spirit uses the cross to break it Using the environment to prepare much cross around us So Luke 9 says You must deny yourself and follow me Francisus Holy Spirit in your surroundings will arrange all kinds of cross It is unbeknownst to yourself Don't even worry to create cross for yourself The Holy Spirit will arrange It is opposite of your self life It is opposite of your opinion Something you dislike Your unwillingness It is against your mindset What you consider as good You cannot see the better way It is opposed to your emotions You formally conduct yourself with your own emotions So that your emotions get more impacted Francisus The Lord uses all these To show you how wicked you are That you are willing to lay down Through the Holy Spirit to crucify yourself This way the life of Christ can manifest Your relationship with man is a manifestation of the life of Christ It is no longer your former temperament Often times the Lord puts against you those who are opposite of your temperament It is something very marvelous The Stalkers We call them counterparts The Lord often times uses those ones and they become the best pair You become a cross for me and I become a cross for you This way Christ can begin If we lay hold of ourselves we protect this vessel I am me This is me I am not willing to be broken Francis The treasure will not be manifested It is God's will that this power is of God It is not of yourself If it is of yourself You will see You can only break others But you yourself must preserve your integrity The life of Christ can never be manifested This is why we must learn to accept the cross Accepting the cross is a matter of will You have a willing heart The cross is God's Bearing the cross is a daily practice matter Only in this way can you ever be a truly serving one If this is the case not only Christ is to live out of you but as you touch any relationships you will descend to others Fourthly I'm just embarrassed to mention it The service we have to do It is the service in the body We cannot do the work of a lone angel We must be coordinated with others Holding fast ahead The whole body sitting in a train together All the joints They fulfill all functions They are connected to each other So the body is grown up in itself in love For we can stress in the matter of service We're far from one thing There remains yet much work for us to learn Because you are our master How you treated your disciples that day How you trained them to serve you Today through your spirit to train us with it May we truly become those who serve a proper vessel May you grant us grace to be anyone have mercy upon us
