It's a bit of a dreary week around here. We don't see much sunshine, but we trust the sun is shining in our hearts. And if it shines there, it doesn't matter so much what happens outside. But tonight we have a subject that, by God's grace, we're going to see what the Bible says about, the subject of witchcraft. And when we looked at that subject, we are looking at it as a subject that, looking at the entire package there. Another way to say it would be the craft of witches, or the crafts that witches ply. And so, we will try and give definition to what we mean a little bit as we go along. But we have this word found in Galatians chapter 5, verse 19 and 20 there. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, enemies, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like. Of the witch I tell you before, as I also have told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. And here we have this word, the only time used in the New Testament, primarily, although it is synonymous, with the word sorcery, or sorceries, which we have in other places. So we would like to speak on this subject of witchcraft. Now the word means, according to the Strong's Concordance, it is the Greek word pharmakia. It means medication, magic, sorcery, witchcraft. And then also the word, it is taken from the word pharmakon, which means a drug, spell-giving potion, a druggist, or poisoner, a magician, sorcerer. So what we have here is a combination of a, what I call, a concocting of a mind-altering drug. I don't think it's talking about aspirin, I don't think it's talking about penicillin, but it's talking about drugs that are mind-altering, and they are the drugs that the old witch doctors of South American Africa mix together in their bowls and give you to drink in order to have some kind of a phenomena in your life. And of course, bring you into demon possession. At the same time, it's also magic, it's sorcery, it's the work of a magician and so on, which are things that cannot be explained. Now the Bible says here in Galatians chapter 5 that the works of the flesh are manifest. And I believe we need to understand that, especially so in light of a spiritual person. These works of the flesh, they are manifest. They openly can be seen for what they are. Now I know that it becomes increasingly difficult to see some of these things maybe for what they are. In 2 Corinthians 11 verse 13, you don't have to turn to it, it says, For such are false prophets, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing that his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works. Now this matter of witchcraft, in the last 100 or 150 years, odd years, there has been an attempt made to take this thing and to gloss it over and to hide it from the natural perspective. This is done by incorporating it into religion and into the healing arts. And that is increasing and ever increasing more and more as the days go by, to the point where today we have such a tremendous mixture in this that if you might go to a certain doctor or a chiropractor, you may get your bones cracked for one, which may be a simple thing, which has no harm. But at the same time, you may get four or five other phenomena practiced on you that are definitely into the realm of witchcraft. So we come upon a time right now that Satan desires to hide this thing and to cover it over. And it is covered over in numerous ways, but one of the greatest threats to us tonight is that of the healing arts. And may I explain that I at least believe that it is one of the things that is... In 2 Thessalonians, the Bible says in the last days, that because people did not love the truth, strong delusions should come upon them that they believe a lie, that they all might be damned who loved not the truth, but had pleasure in righteousness. And I am becoming highly suspicious that one of the major areas where that fulfillment is going to take place among the plain people especially, has to do with this matter of the healing arts and of incorporating witchcraft into the healing arts, and they are undiscerning because they are not spiritual enough and they have not gone by the Bible enough to interpret and understand witchcraft and see it for what it is, which they could if they only studied the Scriptures, but they are not enough a people of the Bible that they are given the strong delusion and I believe they are believing this lie. And the Bible says because of their unscriptural hearts, not being given over to Scripture like they should be, God is going to let them believe this lie and perhaps because they have been negligent to look for the power of God's Spirit to give them spiritual discernment in life, that they all might be damned. And believe me, according to Galatians chapter 5, they will be damned because the Bible says in Galatians chapter 5 that those which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. And I did not write the book, so I am only here to tell you what I believe it means. Some of the burden that has come from this has come out of the council room, has come from meeting people and preaching the gospel in various areas and finding out some of the resistance that there is today to the gospel, to the simple gospel, to revival, to prophetic and evangelistic preaching. These people who normally resist this the greatest are on the contrary also involved in witchcraft and seem to resist it the hardest. That has been a very interesting subject. Now, I also believe that the scripture teaches us in Isaiah that we are to sound an alarm in Zion. We are to cry aloud concerning the sins of the people. And this is the reason that I make a whole evening for this sin because I believe that people are duped into ignorance and undiscerning hearts and are not able to see it for what it is. I also believe that this is only the tip of the iceberg. The further I get into it, the more it broadens out. I only find like you break through the door and I feel like I'm going to talk about out of Ezekiel. I feel like Ezekiel when he was shown the hole in the wall. And the Lord said, dig at the hole. And he dug at the hole. And he scratched through it. It was, you know, glossed over that he couldn't see it. But he dug around at it and he saw that it was mushy, that there was no real wall there. And then he found a hole in the wall. And then the Lord said, now go through the hole. And then he went in there and he opened up in a room and he saw all kinds of stuff on the walls that the people did. Then the Lord said, now turn around and look at this side. Then turn around and look at this one. Then turn around and look at this one. And he kept turning around the room. And then he finally was into another room and another one. And the further he got, the greater it was until finally he found God's people, God's elders of the church of Israel, back in a room there with their faces turned toward the east. And that stuck out pretty significantly to me, why with their faces toward the east. Now, the Bible says that they were worshipping the sun. But we'll look at that word a little later. So it's growing in intensity and influence. And I feel like, by God's grace at least, we're taking its Sunday clothes off and being able to see it a little bit more for what it is. In the olden days, it was a little old lady who was really strange. And it had a strange phenomenon and spirit about her. And everybody knew she was kind of the witch in the area. Or perhaps it was the witch doctor who lived in a certain area. And everybody knew he was a witch doctor. And so that was the way it was years ago, many years ago. But presently, it is pastors, businessmen, and health practitioners, and any neighbor or friend down the road who has delved into this thing by literature or by having contact with other people, and they have become a practitioner of it. God is a jealous God. And I really feel that the church has sold its power. One of the questions that could come to me is, why are the plain people so gullible to this thing? And I don't know if I have the answer. One of the reasons is, of course, an innocent one, is the fact that they have tried to escape the high cost of medical bills in the hospitals and doctors. So they have always tried to look for this simple, magic way to get this job done in their home living rooms without going to the hospital, because traditionally they have hated hospitals. And having an undiscerning heart, that has simply guided them into this thing blindly, just blindly. And they are today, I would have to say, and you might think I'm funny, but I believe that 80 plus percent of them are involved in it in one way or another. Now you check me out, and you make your own evaluations, and if you come up with a greatly different percentage, I'd like to know about it. But I would wonder, and I'm not going to do it, but I'd wonder by a raise of hands here tonight, in your history, and in your parents' history, how many of you have been involved in these things, if I would list them off, and I would guess that 90 percent of the hands would go up. Alright. What does the Bible say? Let us turn to Ezekiel 8, verse 7. I have a lot of scriptures here, and I'm going to do this simply because I have to, or I feel I need to tonight. I'm going to show you that I'm not speaking out of my own head, but I'm speaking out of what is the written word of God, and recently when I was in a community, one of the brethren told me I had no idea that this thing was so much in the scripture, because he had never heard a message of it in his history, and he is maybe in his mid-twenties now, and his father's a preacher, and he has been raised in the Christian church, and never heard anything about this. Now all at once, here he is, and he's discovering all these scriptures for it, and never knew they were there. For that reason, and for other reasons, where we try to be scriptural, we're going to try to show you what the Bible says. Ezekiel 8, verse 7, talks, of course, about the hole in the wall, which I already mentioned. Then over in verse 16, He brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house, and behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, there were about five and twenty men with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east, and they worshipped the sun toward the east. Now I want to explain that almost all occultic medicines and occultic religion comes out of the east, for eastern religion, and it's very interesting to see that Ezekiel wrote this at a time of great apostasy, and they were into occultic practices and idolatry, and where were they? But in a room with their faces toward the east. I thought that's very interesting, because that's exactly what I believe is happening today. There are men, preachers, bishops, deagons, Sunday school teachers, superintendents, and the whole gamut, are today going through all the motions of religion, but at the same time, they're in a room, and they have their faces toward the east. They have their faces toward the east. Eastern religion, eastern practices, eastern medicines of homeopathy, acupuncture, acupressure, therapeutic touch, all this kind of stuff, they have their faces toward the east, simply because that is where the source of all this stuff comes from, yin and yang and so on, chi and the force, and on and on we could go. All this is covered over, as only to be in a simple way, in order to have your body healed, when actually, it is in a nutshell, eastern religion, and people today are bringing a mixture of Christianity and eastern religion. And that's exactly what was happening in Ezekiel chapter 8. And what was happening, the consequences of that were severe. By God. Let us turn to Isaiah, oh, excuse me, Ezekiel 13, 16. Well, maybe it's 16, 13. That's not right either. Let's go on to Isaiah 2, verse 6. Therefore, thou hast forsaken thy people, the house of Jacob, because they be replenished, now look at this, from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves and the children of strangers. Now, look at this. Once again, here Isaiah speaks about it, not Ezekiel, but Isaiah, and he says, Therefore, thou hast forsaken thy people, the house of Jacob, why? Because thou hast replenished, they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers from the east, he's saying, like the Philistines, and they please themselves and the children of strangers. Now, I don't know what that last verse means, but I want to give you something to think about. In the midst of some of this practitioning that's going on, all at once, child molesting raises, unprecedented. And here it says, that they please themselves and the children of strangers. We have a little Amish woman at home, about three miles away from church, who is practicing something, we don't know what yet, upon children. And she's asking the parents to bring their children, but then they cannot watch, and she takes them into a room, and performs something on the child, and then delivers the child back to the parents again. The children are giving horror stories, saying that, don't ever take me back there again. That woman did horrible things to me. And right now, the alarm is just going out in Lancaster County, concerning her, and people are imagining what might be going on, but at this point, we still don't know. But, over and over again, we find out, that some of these fellows, who are quite into it, into practicing this, are actually child molesters. And I looked at this verse, in light of that, and it stuck out to me, I believe in the Lord. They please themselves in the children of strangers. Now, Isaiah 8, 13 to 20. And if you get tired of paging, you can just listen, or write all the scriptures down, if you want them. They are of a great benefit. Or, of course, you can take the tape home, and dissect it there. But, here in Isaiah 8, 13, And he shall be... Yes. Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself, and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary, and for a stone of stumbling, and for a rock of offense, to both the houses of Israel, for a jinn, and for a snare, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples, and I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth His face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for Him. And then, let me go down to 19, And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep and that mutter. Should not a people seek unto their God, and for the living, to the dead? Now, wizards are simply male witches. And here it says that Israel... He's telling Israel, Isaiah is, that when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits. And if you remember, Saul is the one who sought a familiar spirit. Now, I want to tell you what a familiar spirit is. This might come as a shocker, because I only discovered that today. Even though I have looked at familiar spirits before, and I believe, and still do, that a familiar spirit is one who comes around and makes itself familiar of some other person. Like the witch at Endor, which Saul, she tried to call up Samuel, but what she was trying to call up, really, was a familiar spirit that looked like Samuel, and acted and talked like Samuel, in order for Saul to consort with, or to confer with. But what actually, it appears there, that come forth was Samuel himself. God sent him forth to talk to Saul, and that brought the witch into all kinds of horrors, and she was scared stiff out of it. But anyway, one of the words, the Greek word or Hebrew word for familiar spirit, is ventriloquist. And the Mennonite churches in Lancaster County tonight are bringing ventriloquists in, in order to do puppet shows, and entertain the people with a ventriloquist. In fact, I was at a foster parent meeting where they brought one in there. And I had a strange feeling when I watched that lady. And I didn't understand, and I still don't tonight, I didn't until today, how she was throwing her voice like that. But I come to find out today that a familiar spirit is also a ventriloquist. And we all know that most people can do it. In fact, most people cannot do it. It is a unique art that people learn. How do they learn it? Let it be our guess, but the Bible may say it could be a familiar spirit that causes that gift to be able to be done. Now, you may not agree with that, but you can check the Hebrew yourself. Alright. In Isaiah chapter 8, When they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits. And unto wizards that peep and not mutter should not a people seek unto their God for the living to the dead? And what the problem was, there was a mixing of truth and witchcraft in Israel. And that's what Isaiah and God were so upset about. Now let's go to Leviticus 20. Leviticus chapter 20, verse 6. And the soul that turneth after such that have familiar spirits, and after wizards to go a-whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul and will cut him off from among the people. That gives you a little bit how God feels about familiar spirits or ventriloquists. Now we'll go to Deuteronomy 18, verse 9 to 15. And here we have a whole list of things and we're going to go through this. Maybe you ought to all turn to this one. Deuteronomy 18, verse 9 through 15. And you might want to underline this one in your Bible. This is a very solid place to take people to help them out. When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abomination of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone that beckons his son or daughter to pass through the fire or that uses divination or an observer of times or an enchanter or a witch or a charmer or a consulter with familiar spirits or a wizard or a neocromancer which is one who speaks with the dead. For all that do such these things are an abomination unto the Lord. And because of these abominations, the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. For these nations which thou shalt possess hearken unto observers of times and unto diviners. But as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee to do so. So to do. The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet in the midst of thee of thy brethren like unto me. Unto him shall ye hearken. Now, I'd like to explain. I'm not going to go through a lot of these. I've already spoken on some of them. But I'd like to capitalize on the hymn that uses divination. Because a lot of the problem in our circles has to do with this matter of divination or divining. Which, underneath it, we could put the rod, the divining rods, the black box, the stainless steel box, and all kinds of other articles that people use to divine. Now, historically, you can go to Egypt today and you can find engravings on the wall of Egypt that bring the divining rods and the rod and show them engraving on the walls there 4,000, 5,000 years ago. Already back then, they were divining over something to try to find out what to do. Divination is to try to learn the unknown. And what brings people into a trap, whether they want to find water in water dowsing and witching, or whether they want to find oil, or whether they want to take a needle and thread and find out what sex an unborn baby is, or how many children they're going to have, or who they're going to marry. The whole thing comes under one thing. They are divining, trying to learn the unknown. And that is of utmost danger. Or like the man who is sick and we don't know what's wrong with him, and then we put his Polaroid picture into a black box, and we make all kinds of different actions over the box, and we try to find out what's wrong inside the man's body. Then we go over water to try to drill a well. We take a peach twig in hand, and incidentally, that is clearly described on the walls of Egypt also and other Canaan cities four and five thousand years ago. That is not an innocent thing that has just come up in the last days, but the Egyptians did it, and the Canaanites did it, and the Jebusites and the Gerasites and all the otherites in the land of Canaan. And God said, now listen, Israel, I'm going to take you across the Red Sea, and I'm going to take you over there, and I'm going to give you the land of Canaan. But I want you to be sure of one thing. Don't you have anything to do with that stuff that those people are doing over there. They are an abomination to me, and I want nothing to do with them. And I don't want you to have any parts of it. But here we are, almost three thousand years later, or whatever, thirty-five hundred years later, or some odd years, and anyway, here we are, and once again, the people of God who claim to be born again and baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ, and call themselves a Baptist, and all of that stuff, they are once again taking the divining rod of Egypt into their hands, and all the other paraphernalia that go along with it and are divining to learn to know water and oil, and what your sickness is, what your unborn baby is, and all this kind of stuff. And the Bible, God says, I change not. It still is an awful and horrible abomination to Him, and the Bible says it's going to destroy those people that do it. Now, that's why I believe that it's a strong delusion that people believe a lie and the people will be damned that do it. Now, I know that's hard words, and it involves your uncles and aunts, it involves your cousins and brothers-in-law, but the Bible says that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. And Revelation 21 says that they'll have their part in the lake of fire. Sorcerers, which are those that practice witchcraft. It is about time that we wake up and call black black and white white and try to help people out of it through Jesus Christ and giving themselves totally and unreserved unto Him. But these churches are not going to make it. They are not going to go to heaven if they're going to keep on practicing witchcraft. It was the sin of Manasseh in 2 Chronicles. It was the sin of Jezebel in 2 Kings 9. And Jehu, you know him, he was driving furiously. And he was destroying the groves and pulling down the idols. And when he came into Jerusalem there down to Ahab's house, Ahab wanted to know comest thou peaceably, Jehu? And he said, What peace? So long as the hardens of witchcraft of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcraft are so many. And like a prophet of God Allah, I would to God that every minister of the gospel would stand up like that and say there's going to be no peace and no contorting together and no working with churches and no communion and no baptizing until this horrible sin of witchcraft is rooted out of people's hearts and lives. And they repent of it and renounce it in the name of Jesus and have nothing to do with it anymore. I personally tell people everywhere I go, Don't you ever commune with it. They come and they repent and they want to go back to their church. And I said, You can't. You can go back and visit. You can go back and attend there for the next six months. But don't you ever commune with it because you make a partaker of their evil deeds if you do. And that's causing us to have to start churches, but that's the only way I see that we're going to get out of it, which I'll tell you a little bit more about it later. Now, here's the picture I want to help you to see. Here's a man worshiping God on Sunday morning. He sings the hymns of Zion. He believes in the dark truth confession of faith. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior, supposedly. Then on Monday, he worships Ashtoreth. And on Tuesday, he worships Baal. And bows down to Baal. That's what they're doing. Now, it's very interesting, maybe, to realize that Saul's armor was put in the temple of Ashtoreth when he died. When he died on the battlefield, his body was nailed on the wall and his armor was put into the temple of Ashtoreth. But that's how we need to understand. We say, well, it's not so bad, but it's just like that in Israel. They did the same thing. Went to the temple, sacrificed for sin, went over to Ashtoreth and fool around with that one. Then they went over to Baal and did it with that one. And this kind of thing. And God got so angry that he put him in the captivity for 70 years because of it. The plain people are doing exactly the same thing. Worshiping the Lord on Sunday and going to Ashtoreth to find out what's wrong with them on Monday. And to the Canaanites and the Jebusites and the Gerasites and all the otherites. And I know they do it innocently, but it's because there's no spiritual discernment and the preachers have become dumb dogs that they can't bark anymore concerning clear Scripture. Now I can go through and I can read you 150 verses in the Bible on the subject. Probably. Now, where are we at and why didn't we look at it? Well, one of the reasons is we're under a generational curse. That's one of the reasons. In that our forefathers brought over the 6th and 7th book of Moses. I don't know how many of you ever heard of the 6th and 7th book of Moses? A few of you have. The 6th and 7th book of Moses are nothing more than Egyptian sorcery and the other word for it is the Devil's Bible. Some of them say that on the cover. They've been printed in Europe and then they've been brought over by our forefathers as far as I know and in that is all the details on how to do this stuff. Including water witching and all the other paraphernalia you have. When I was a boy I was taught to count backwards from 100 to 0 in order to stop blood. I was taught that you never go on if a black cat crosses your path. I was taught that you... How was it? You don't sing songs before breakfast. And numerous other things like that that my grandmother was so deeply involved in that we as a family were constantly bombarded with. I don't know where her source was but I'm highly suspicious either her or her father or mother must have had access or had in their possession the 6th and 7th book of Moses. Because her life was filled with it. I mean, sheep were dancing in the sun on Easter morning and you had all this garbage that was constantly going on around our house. I had a thing tied around my neck with hidden sayings in it. You were allowed to rip it open to find out what it said if you did something awful what happened to you. Or a curse would be on it. They tied it around my neck because I had a nosebleed problem as a boy and I was once hospitalized for it but that's how I was subjected to witchcraft. What I tell you tonight is a first-hand experience in my own life and there were all kinds of funny things going on around there sometimes and I don't have the explanation of them today. But we come from ancestral blindness concerning witchcraft. And when we got converted we did not understand. And nobody taught us and gave us the understanding about these things. And I myself didn't want... My father, he was converted and he didn't want anything to do with it and I just had an allergy to it. I didn't want anything to do with this stuff and for as far as I know I never touched it other than my next phase and that was attending chiropractors which again snuck this stuff in on me. And that's what they're doing today all across the land. They're coming in with reflexology and with making lines of force on your body to try to get the stuff off your body. You know, they make all kinds of motions and they're going into all these different things kinesiology, muscle texting, what have you and that's simply because they started maybe in a little more innocent bone-cracking thing but have branched out and expanded their knowledge till now they're just dens of witchcraft. Many of them are. And not safe to go to or take your dog to even. Alright, let's go to Nahum 3. Verse 4 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well-favored harlot the mistress of witchcraft that selleth nations through her whoredoms and families through her witchcraft. Well, that struck a note with me when I read that one. I think our families are being sold to witchcraft. That's what I believe is happening. Our families are being sold to witchcraft through the general practitioners of these healing arts and other things. And all this, you know, is alongside of many other things. Now, let's go to the New Testament. Acts 8, 9 But there was a certain man called Simon which before time in the same city used sorcery and bewitched the people of Samaria giving out that himself was some great one. That normally happens to those who practice sorcery and witchcraft is that somehow they are lifted up among the people as to be something special, be some great one. And we know the story. I'm going to save time, just tell you. He tried to mix witchcraft and the Gospel or the power of the Holy Spirit and put them together into one package. And when Peter got a hold of it, he told him in verse 20 Thy money perish with thee because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness and pray God if perhaps the thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee for I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity. Now, I would guess that you with me have already thought when you read those verses. Woo! He was rough. And he was. But that's how God feels in the New Testament like He did in the Old when somebody takes the power of the Holy Spirit and somebody takes sorcery and witchcraft and tries to put them together. That's why he got that kind of a reaction. And then of course in Acts 13.6 I just want to mention briefly that that's the story of Bar-Jesus and Elimeas and I want to tell you they were not heathen but Jews. And then let us turn to Acts 19.19 and maybe I should leave this for the end but I'm going to tell you right now just by example that this is the remedy for the whole mess and this is what needs to be done in 1993. The revival at Ephesus. Well, verse 18 Many that believed came and confessed and showed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious hearts brought their books together and burned them before all men and they counted the price of them and found they had 50,000 pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed. Now they didn't have a book sale. And if you have books of curious hearts then that's exactly what it is because I remember the first time I saw the pendulum and the dousing rods and the pliers in the hands. There's a curiosity crawls over you and you want to see if it works and see if it works for you and all this stuff and that's how about 90% of the people get drug into the thing is because of their curiosity. It is truly called what it is a curious art. You watch it and somehow a curiosity comes over you and you want to try it too. And then you take the twig in your hand or the pliers in your hand and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and usually what happens is some old professional dowser gets a hold of you and grabs you at the back. It'll work. That's what I've heard has happened many times. It truly is a curious art and when revival comes they destroy them. And let me tell you I believe that is why people have tent meetings for two weeks and preach their hearts out and nothing happens because they don't deal with the issue and 80% of them are in it and have been messed with it either in one form or another. Probably one of the biggest one there is reflexology on our sisters. I actually believe that about 80% of plain women have had reflexology done to them one way or another. And I realize most of them innocently and have not realized what they have done. But I'm telling you tonight so that you can clear yourself of it. Now another one that is normally challenged is water witching. And I want to read something to you here from history. The diviner on the other hand makes use of certain omens and arrows. The Babylonians and Persians used livers, goblets. The Egyptians used entrails. The Greeks and the Romans runic letters. The German eye rock crystals, snow crystals, marbles, mirrors, cards and palm lines. The enlightened and Europeans hazel twigs and pendulums. That's where our ancestors come from and I believe with all my heart brought it over with them. And that's the reason there is like an ancestral darkness concerning this matter on us because we have already had it in our background and didn't realize many times what we were doing. But what I'm saying is that the matter of divining or water witching is as old as mankind about. And it's in the roots of the heathen. And it's just not right that men of God. Water witch. Even though they try and say it's electricity. There's no electricity. That's only an explanation that's supposed to fool us. Now, look at this. Here's another one. The Cruscians and the Romans had their herospeses who divined on the basis of entrails from sacrificial beasts. Also the fraternity of water diviners or dowsers was to be found at Rome. And you can look in your dictionary or encyclopedia and it's called what it is. Water witching. They were called aquileges, water readers. Jeturna, the nymph of the water springs was represented with a hazel twig in her hand. A digest of Roman soothsaying is provided by the Sibylline books which extensively define the sacrificial cultists. The Germanic tribes also practiced runic divination with their letter staves. On all the mission fields, Christianity has had to struggle with the heathen arts of divination. In Africa, it was witch doctor. In Tibet, it was the red-hooded monks with their occultic practices. Among the Malays, it was the Powang. And among the Pygmy, peoples of Malaya, and the Polyang. In China, there existed, besides the idol priests, the strong occult of the geomensers with their system on the feng shui. In East Siberia, were the shamans. Among the Eskimo, the Anglicoc. Among the American Indians, the trivial or magic priests. These all presented a strong occult, occult and magic resistance to the advance of Christianity. Remember that. These all resisted, or they presented a strong occultic and magic resistance to the advance of Christianity. They were the enemies of the missionaries across the globe. Now, the only way Christianity and that stuff can get along is if Christianity is dry and dead. That's the only way it can happen. That's the reason that it can be in the churches and everything is fine, is the church is so dead that it doesn't create an uproar. If a church is alive, and I've found this over and over again, if a church is alive, and the power and the presence of God is there, it begins to cough up and vomit up like you wouldn't believe. In a matter of weeks' time, I've seen it in churches where even those that practice kung fu or karate come in the midst, not having renounced it, in a matter of weeks, get deathly ill and ask for prayer. And we go in and try to find out what's wrong. And up comes the stuff. And there has to be a house cleaning, and then the fever leaves. In enlightened Europe, divination is, in spite of rationalism and the blooming of science, very prevalent. The daily and weekly papers satisfy the superstition of all classes of society with their astrological forecasts or astrology charts, card layers, fortune tellers, palmists, tea leaf diviners, crystal gazers, et cetera, pursuing a flourishing trade. Information about the fate of a missing person is given by means of a pendulum held over a photograph. Superstitious dependence on omens and fetishes such as lucky mascots, horseshoes, four-leaf clovers, lucky pigs, chimney sweeps, black ravens. Number 13 reveals that the departure from the Christian faith ends in magic enslavement and occultic subjection. Now let me explain divination a little further. Whenever you want to discover the unknown, you're up here and the water's a hundred feet down there. You're well and the man is sick and he doesn't know why he's sick. You're expecting a child and you want to know whether it's a boy or a girl. The art of divination is resulted to to learn the unknown. And whenever you... and unscientifically possible to know the unknown. Now today we have sonograms and all that where they can see but that's simply taking a picture. But years ago the only way to try to learn the unknown was through witchcraft. And a demon becomes the medium. A demon spirit or a devilish spirit becomes the medium to tell you what it is. That's what divination is. A familiar spirit, a demonic spirit, a devilish spirit, you call it what you want to. Gets in between there when you consult it with doing certain things and going through certain rituals. That's why you hold a pendulum and say a couple of things and all this funny stuff that goes on. A demon shows up sometimes, not always. Other times it don't work, nothing happens. And people don't know why. And I don't understand that either. The next time it works. And when it works, I don't argue with it. It does work for many people. A demon shows up and makes the connection. But whenever that works for you and whenever you double with that thing you may have effects from that from here on. Until you consult and come and repent of the thing to Jesus Christ to break that thing and repent of it and get rid of it. So it is in about all of these areas it's trying to heal or trying to learn the unknown. Here's reflexology. Down at the bottom of your feet they say you can map that out as a chart of your whole body. And this area of the foot is your heart and this is your lungs and this area is your kidneys and this is your gallbladder and this is your stomach and all that stuff. The medium between the bottom of your foot and your organs is not electrical currents but mediumistic spirits. Once again. Over and over again. Whenever you go into things, iridology, you look in the eye and you'll be able to see a chart that sees the whole body. That is only consulting a possibility in some cases it's nothing but quackery. And in other cases mediumistic spirits show up depending how psychic the individual has been dabbling with or is oriented. A mediumistic spirit shows up and tells you those things. Some of the things you want to know. But as you know in all devil things, they are not accurate they are often, they fail they are often dead wrong. But that doesn't say they show up. But none of them are always right. God is the only one that's always right. These people, these mediums, they can guess at it and sometimes they hit it and sometimes they don't and that's what confuses people. But there are many times that it works and they were right. Last March we had a man who got sick in another state with gangrene on his intestines. Well he wasn't feeling the best Sunday mornings but he was going to go to church anyhow. So his wife called up the local witch doctor or the man who practiced with his radionics box and told him here the man was sick over at this house and just got sick and he wasn't to the man for a long time or maybe weeks or months but he had his files and he had a Polaroid picture in his files. So the lady the wife calls up the witch doctor and says put his picture in find out what's wrong, my husband isn't feeling good and incidentally that can be done a thousand miles away on a telephone. In goes the Polaroid picture and he says he's very very sick, his energy level is extremely low, you better get him out of the hospital as soon as possible. Off to the hospital they went took him into the emergency room yet he had gangrene in the intestines and wouldn't have made it to the end of the day. The man with the black box thought he saved his life. It worked! Both those men, this one over here who was sick, messed around in Ouija boards, consulted it daily in his life years ago, he messed around with all forms of occultic things, he had the black box on him numerous times, the other man was a practicing witch doctor who exercised this and practiced with the box. The two made a connection and the devil had free course. It's the only thing I can explain or figure out. And that's as far as I need to go. They operated on him gave him a colostomy and saved his life for that time although he died some months later. He never really came back to health again. But before he died he found the Lord, he got his life straightened up, he renounced his Ouija board, he renounced his black box, he renounced his sin and corruption, and as far as I know, died and went to heaven. But he wouldn't have if he had died six months before and his family knew it, and they cried out to God for mercy when he got sick, that the Lord would spare his life until somebody could help him get the gospel into his heart and get right with God. And God answered the prayer of those who were, by faith, believed him and cried out to God and the man died a Christian, as far as we know. Alright, now let me tell you a little bit what happens here and the effects of this thing. There is a known resistance to spiritual things. People involved in these things cannot, I tell you, cannot get hot for God. Try as they may, over and over they confess to us, I had a hook in me and I could only go so far in my Christian life and no further. I just run up against the wall. I tried, I tried many times, but I could never get there. Abnormal passions, and especially as to do with sexuality. Actual maniacs come out of this thing. When they have given themselves to this, they have turned into virtual beasts into their own homes and into their own families. And have such abnormal passions, lust that they molest, rape, take by force, or whatever you can imagine. Put people under tremendous oppression, even like the other partner to the point where they nearly kill themselves. I have seen and known of a couple cases that have ruined, virtually ruined their bodies by their abnormal passions. Selfishness is another one. They do not have a giving, a heart, but usually want to gratify and satisfy themselves. And they're a very selfish person. I want my potatoes this way. I want to have it done this way. I want to do it when I want to do it. And all the rest of the family has to dance to that tune. Instability. And you will have a lot of guy raiding and rollercoastering in life. Mood swings. Bad mood swings. And up and then way down. A callousness. A real hardness of heart. Nobody can tell him his needs. Violent tempers is another. Tempers that just are violent and just fly off the handle and smack their children around and beat them up. I got a call from Canada the other night where a father and mother are beating their children up and they're coming to school beat up and the school board investigates what's wrong and they said how often this happens? About once a month? They said daily. Daily they are getting beat up by their parents and of course they believe that their signs are there that they are possessed. Vicious critical attitudes. Especially so with anything different from the norm like their traditions. Oh, they spew out all kinds of stuff and they're not easily influenced into something new or the gospel or revival or a new practice that they haven't practiced in their traditional background. They get very upset and very uptight about it. Insensitivity. Excuse me. Difficulty in bible reading. Most of those who are involved in these things have great difficulty. I have sent them home already to read a couple of chapters and they were not even able to read any. When they were challenged to go home and read the scriptures. You know, because we were trying to make it manifest and it manifested double, triple strength that they couldn't even read the scriptures. Same way with prayer. Very poor prayer life. Insensitivity or resistance to anything about the Holy Spirit. Nervous disturbances. Nervous disorders. Fidgetiness. Unmedicine to keep calm. Sleeplessness in such life. Emotional and mental illnesses. And then of course we even have it going into the charismatic experiences where they duplicate what should be a filling of the Holy Spirit. We have the charismatic churches having all kinds of false experiences like this and they're all connected with the same thing. Many of those false experiences seem to also be connected with the occult. And when I know somebody's been in that because of the strange phenomena that take place in their lives, such as being slain in the spirit and such like, I ask them to renounce it the same way as I do all the rest. Because a strange phenomena beyond their own powers takes place in those charismatic meetings. They are just touched by the tip of the evangelist's finger and they go stone cold right out on the floor. And other strange things happen. And a lot of times again, in those circles you will have moral depravity. It is not just by happening that those preachers and teachers have fallen morally. I don't believe that just happened. It's because there is where the problem lies. They are involved in occultic things in the name of God and they cannot control their passions. They cannot control it. And I'll give you another challenge. Find me a water smelling or practicing preacher who has any effect in revival. Now, I'd like to mention a little bit yet about some more curious arts. A little bit about Powwow-ing. When I was ten years old, I was burned in a fire. I put a match in a lantern and it wouldn't go on. And then I tried to pump some air in quick. It was filled with gas. The check valve stuck in the bottom of the pump and when I pulled the handle back, it squirted gas over my chest because I was going like this. And the match was inside lit and I was quick trying to put a layer in so it would take it before I had to put another match. The fire followed and I burned over my chest. I ran out of the building and somebody saw me and got me and rolled me over but I had second and third degree burns over my chest and my left arm. While I was in pain and of course terrible pain but some days afterwards with a scab all over my chest my grandmother sent for a witch doctor from Holmes County, Ohio who was practicing in Lancaster County at that time and he came there, put his hands on top of me went through all kinds of groans and grunts and funny noises, never touching me to try to pull the pain out of it. This is what we call Powwow-ing or as some of you Pennsylvania Dutchers know it as Brachdokter. Those fellas that Powwow-ing is an Indian an Indian thing that apparently our forefathers in this country have picked up not being spiritual again dead, not having discernment collaborating back and forth with the Indians have picked up what we know as Powwow-ing. This is still going on around here today still going on sometimes or has been not too far in the past in Lancaster County in one form or another. These people are highly effective in doing something for people but at the same time the after effects of Powwow-ing on an individual allows that individual or plagues that individual or affects that individual in depression and despondency and mood swings of which I of course had it. I hated Mondays and I had all kinds of mood swings and I don't know if it came just from this. Conversion wiped a lot of that out of my life. But I had some other strange experiences that took place in my life which I'm not going to go into. Another one is watch out for Indian artifacts. Here some time ago a Apache Indian with hair down to here who was a truck driver came into our place there at Denver Cold Storage and he began to tell us what kind of an original Indian he is and he's a medicine man and he took his paraphernalia and smacked it right there on the counter for us to look at. He had different things in a bag and he went on to explain how they work and how they do and I'll tell you it didn't take me five minutes to see that he was genuine. I mean that fellow had it and he was a hot Indian medicine man or a Powwow or a witch doctor they're all the same. And we witnessed to him about Jesus Christ and of course he didn't need Jesus Christ. He was hateful he was talking about all the power they had and the white men they have many acres down there, thousands and thousands of acres that white men never tread upon and if they do they'll lose their life. He said the United States government just went around them, just fenced them off and said let them do their own stuff and they have never really conquered the lands of this day down in New Mexico or Arizona. Watch out for Powwowing. But sad to say or Amish and so far as Ben and I perhaps people have been Powwowing for generations because they have learned it from the Indians, thought again, they could save some money and practice this stuff to heal people and it's going on right here in New York County today yet. Another one is Radionics which is the art of this black box stuff. Now it's an unbelievable thing but it started in California, let me see Kansas City is the organization called Acres that promotes the black box. A friend of mine went there some time ago to try to learn how to grow his crops organically and they teach that the black box is effective in being able to kill the weeds in the field and kill the bugs on the alfalfa and what have you. I guess that he wanted to use less sprays so he was sucked into the meeting. At the meeting he kept asking questions down there in Kansas City. Well what about this and how do I learn it? And they said if you want to learn you come up to a hotel room tonight. He walked up there in a certain room and went in and as soon as he went in the room he felt very eerie and strange and these fellows were sitting in there trying to tell him how to use this and how to get this power. He'd come out of that room a different man. He got scared but he wouldn't let them do it to him but he left and was already affected. A few weeks ago or about maybe five, six weeks ago now I was in another state and he responded and he said I can't even tell you. I walked up to him and said how are you doing and when I did that he was able to say a few words. But he said I have wanted to get a hold of you for months to tell you that I need help. And every time I get around you I can't even tell you that I have a problem. And I said you take your children home and show up over at the brother's house and we'll take care of this thing tonight. But he said even right now when I finally left you know, he said my hands get hot and I have all kinds of funny feelings just to tell you that I'm in it. So he come over there repented, confessed the thing, renounced it and as far as I know he's doing beautifully, he's clear to this day. Also, when we went into Kelowna, Iowa last August at meetings, people told us that Kelowna, Iowa is under a dark cloud. We didn't know anything about Kelowna, Iowa. I had no relatives there or any close friends prior to that hardly. But we went in there and they told us that evangelists have in the past come into that area in it's Mennonite churches or Beechee or Amish or whatever and have preached the gospel for a week and went home and said they felt it the entire week and nothing happens. There's a dark cloud over the area. Well, it didn't take me long to figure out what's going on because I knew of the things that are so redundantly practiced in that area. We began to pray to the God of Heaven that he breaks that dark cloud over Kelowna, Iowa and we preached night after night and it was hard preaching. I said later on I felt like I was leaning against the wind all the time for about the first five nights until we preached on witchcraft and laid it out just a little like tonight, not quite, but preached an hour or so on witchcraft and preached against it and there was people in the services that wanted to laugh at me. One lady even wanted to wash her hands after I shook hands with her and she felt I was a piece of poison around there and she said when you said there's a dark cloud over Kelowna, Iowa to laugh out loud. They thought it was ridiculous, but it didn't take us long to see that there was no revival around there for a long time worth talking about and it was such a low key. I was at a funeral some time ago there and I listened to the men preach and the first man that preached didn't use the name of Jesus one time until he said in Jesus' name we pray. All forms of it. These men, these practitioners were treating their fields, treating their bodies, treating their children and each other with this thing and we took issue with that and preached it for what it is and that stuff started coughing up and it's not done tonight yet. It has been coughing up for the last five months and people are repenting and they're cleaning up their lives and they're getting delivered from it through the power of Jesus Christ and it is phenomenal. I'll tell you the devil kicks up such a storm which I told you about it on Monday night a little bit. That is none to those that are cleaned up because of it. But anyway that night after I preached that people said they need some counsel. Some things are beginning to make sense and I we met on Friday afternoon with a young lady who had been satanically involved in the area and she was set free and then of course it just went from there but about oh I guess six weeks ago or eight something like that six weeks ago there was a young lady young married woman with two children having trouble and she revealed herself to the other lady that got cleaned up that she's having some problems and she said your problem sounds like my problem. You need help and she worked on her to try to open her life for help. She was at the meeting in August at the tent and she went at the building where we had. She went home and said that guy doesn't know what he's talking about. She said I was disgusted. She wasn't back any more nights. But all at once her troubles surfaced. In September she ended up in the hospital with a blood clot on her lung. She had two miscarriages last year. This past year she was in the hospital with a blood clot on her lung. She was in the pit of depression so deep that she was just simply had a wall out around her and her husband was on the outside. The relationship was practically in shambles and things were serious. When she got in the hospital to have a to be put on warfarin or medicine to try to dissolve the blood clot in her lung, she was lying there one night and had company. During the time she was lying in bed there, all at once they drifted way off like in the end of a far tunnel and she could barely hear them. But it was like they were a long ways off. And a dark cloud of oppression and depression came down on her in that room and settled on her so badly that she pushed the button for help. The nurses came in, did blood work, called the doctor, thought she had a stroke and everything but nothing happened and nobody knew what to do. And the hospital said we still have no idea what happened to you. But she did that, hit it in her heart, went home and barely was able to make it day by day under the heavy load of darkness and depression and discouragement and living in her own little world until finally she met this sister about six weeks ago and that sister said, I think I know what your problem is. If you open your heart and let some help come in here, I think we can get help for you. They called me up and asked whether I'd come and I said, I'll try and be on the plane tomorrow morning. And it didn't quite work out. I had a few, we had a brother's meeting and so I put it off a day and then I needed to go to Wisconsin for the weekend for a baptism. So I said, if we can, let's wait till Friday. I'll be out there Friday and then I need to go to Wisconsin Saturday. I got out there. We had an appointment for three o'clock in the afternoon. We sat down and listened to her story and she told the whole story of what it was. She, the doctor was ready to put her on continual medicine for her nerves. He said, you cannot go on like this. He said, we're going to have to put you on medicine and she saw herself and it scared her terribly because she saw herself living as a zombie for maybe the rest of her life and she was in her twenties. She couldn't bear that. She knew what medicine does to people like that and of course that really grieved her and finally in desperation like that she was ready to have help. Here's her story about she's married eight years and not, I think, something like that, not having children, not being able to have children, went to the black box practitioner, the radiotics man which we had called the witch doctor in the area to try to get fertility treatments for her and he put that thing on her. Later on she got medical help and had two children, although there was trouble with the children too. There was activities in the children that she could never figure out. They were wild or difficult to control and there was just a lot of problems there. But anyway, there's where she got into trouble. That's what we traced to it when she went to that. She said, when that black box came into this area, I wanted nothing to do with it. But little by little I broke down and the next thing, my husband wanted me to go try it and so I went and we tried it and he put that thing on me and treated me and put my picture into it and all that and that's when the trouble started. She got down on her knees repentant of the entire thing. And I'll tell you, we had a revival in that room that was worthy for anyone to witness. Her and her husband were fully restored. It was just like a honeymoon after that for them. They had a love for each other that they had not known for quite a long time. And all at once the spiritual life came back, assurance of salvation came back and incidentally, whenever this kind of involvement takes place, assurance of salvation is foggy and dim and most of the time, I ask them the question, if you died today, do you know for sure you'd go to heaven? They can't tell me yes. They usually tell me, I don't know. I don't think so or I'm not sure and I'm confused or something like that. Anyway, tonight, she is instrumental in helping other people and she is free and her children are free and there's a difference that the neighborhood who doesn't even believe in what took place can see with a naked eye and we praise God for it. Now, praise God lest, where am I at here? Friday night, the man who did the practicing, 63 year old man, he gave his heart to the Lord, repented of the whole thing and he's free. As far as I know, he's, everything's fine there. Now we begin to see why the dark cloud. Now we begin to see the reality of what we faced in August. Yet there they all are, general conference, conservative conference, beachy, non-conference men and I, new order Amish, old order Amish, they got them all. Now thank God that for most of the churches, they had sensed this thing and didn't want anything to do with the black box. But still, they didn't come through clear enough to deal with the issue the way they ought to deal with it and offer the people deliverance from the power of God and have a great revival where they turn the people back to God. You don't just throw that stuff away. Some of them were putting it into their closets and not practicing anymore. According to the book of Ephesus there, the church of Ephesus, you don't put the curious arts in your closets. You make a bonfire and you get rid of it and you sing songs of victory. That's the way to get rid of witchcraft. You don't put it under the table or in your closet or in your attic. I don't want it in my attic. Out in Indiana, now we discover the same thing in almost the worst proportion in central Indiana, north central. And we haven't been there yet, but a lady comes to us and she's attending our church presently and she had some questions about some things in her life and finally spilled her beans. And she has the same story. A similar story. Her mother got it from a German Baptist, plain lady and showed her how to do it and she began practicing it. Oh, this is weird. But you put codes on you, code 14 then you don't give off your cold or your disease to anyone else and it can be practiced from a thousand to two thousand miles away. On the telephone you go and touch your children while I talk to you on the phone and I can tell you what's wrong with them from two thousand miles away. That stuff is going on the people believe in it, they are and the churches aren't prospering, there's been no revival for a long time, nothing is happening, the churches are falling apart some of them, there is trouble on every hand, mental depression, sexual immorality, unharnessed appetite and I'll tell you without even going there that I believe I know what the problem is. It's because they have dabbled in witchcraft for the last couple generations maybe four or five and the whole gamut is affected by it or most of them, again I might say eighty percent or so. People are vexed, depressed no victory and no assurance. Now, I want to give you something yet on homeopathy. I would recommend very highly to you this book it's called Can You Trust Your Doctor by John Weldon if you want to write that down or come up and look at it afterwards you can but it is the most descriptive book about all the healing arts that are out there and showing you what's wrong with them Chiropractic, which was started by occultic men which I believe that simple bone cracking is probably innocent but what happened is that chiropractors are going into all this other stuff so you got to be very careful. Acupuncture, channeling altered states of consciousness meditation, herbal medicine kinesiology, attitude healing channeling and you know yin and yang and all that stuff is in here. But I want to show you this thing about homeopathy in here The founder of homeopathy is a man by the name of Samuel Hahnemann and first of all I want to show you what homeopathy is. When you go to an herb store, you want to look at the bottle to see whether it's a homeopathic medicine or not. If it's a homeopathic medicine it'll have on there 1C, 2C 12C, 30C is on the side of the bottle. You don't know what that means but what that means is it has been diluted one drop into a hundred 2C is twice and then it takes that mixture and dilutes one drop of that into a neutral water again Now when you get up to a 30C this is unbelievable but there is nothing left of the original vitamin or mineral that was put in that is about the same as one drop in all the oceans of the world 30C is unbelievable. In fact a 12C is I think they say one drop in a hundred and some lake superiors. So a 30C and Samuel Hahnemann indicated that you can go up it gets better and better and better up to 50C which is one drop in millions of worlds of water So I'll read a little bit about that here The homeopathic asked us to believe in magic that the equivalent mixture of one drop of water in a million billion trillion oceans, the size of our solar system has great medicinal powers It's like taking a grain of a substance and dissolving it in billions of spheres of water, each with the diameter of a solar system and then claiming that the resulting mixture is powerful medicine That is nonsense, not medicine Now what they do is they take this original mixture and they put a little herb in it to start with, then they take one drop out of it, mix it with a hundred drops of other fresh water and then they shake it and that's supposed to make it strong Then they take a drop of that and put it in a hundred parts of other and then they shake it again and the shaking is what they believe strengthens it and they keep shaking until they have a 12C or a 30C. So if you pick up a bottle and look at the story, you'll see on there if it's homeopathy medicine or homeopathic medicine, you'll see 3C, 12C, 30C or whatever on there Now let me tell you something about Samuel Hahnemann. He was a psychic and I mean a big one Another area that may reflect Hahnemann's occultic involvement is the personality alteration and personal tragedies which often accompany those involved in occultic practices His children lived in terrible poverty His medical practice was a failure Both he and his family had a tragic history One son died shortly after birth. Another who was mentally ill left one day and never returned. Three of his daughter's marriages ended in divorce Two daughters were murdered in a mysterious way. Another daughter died at birth. Another died when she was 30. His only remaining son deserted his wife and child. Over the years Hahnemann's character and personality had changed in strange ways It says, one of his biographers observes, Hahnemann had to empty the cup of with which his father had endowed him. Even homeopathic treatments may cause the same kind of problems found in other forms of occultic healing At least one physician relates his own clinical experience The occult influence in homeopathy is transmitted to the individual bringing him consciously or unconsciously under demonic influence It is significant frequently to find nervous depression in families using homeopathy treatments That's the way I find most of those people come to me. They might be on Valium to keep calm. They might see a doctor pretty regularly to try to keep their nerves in order, but that is just the way it is. Vexed, depressed nervous, no joy no victory, no assurance and just, if you talk to them they say, I have a hook in my life I can never make any progress I would say the same for all this yin and yang, muscle testing positive, negative magnetism, iridology the whole stuff It's all just another And then I would like to say especially how deadly, deadly Ouija boards are. And we would think that that might not be necessary to mention but it surely is Now let me talk Let me go to 1 Corinthians 10.20 I'll show you the clear scriptural response to this stuff. I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to devils and not to God. And I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils. Ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table and the table of devils. And that's why we say without any question, don't ever take communion with them Don't ever take communion with them I believe it's the cup of devils and if I would have taken communion, I believe it's wise for you to pray concerning that and ask the Lord to forgive you for your ignorance not knowing the scriptures not knowing the seriousness of it and repent of it and ask the Lord to forgive you Now here's the remedy. The remedy of course, let me tell you first of all that that the most of these people will declare they have the gift of God. Most of these practitioners declare it's the gift of God and they're helping people that's what they say. They will never owe up to the fact of the oppression and depression and all that demonic influence that they put upon people. I will agree when the devil heals, he only transfers the problem. He may heal a finger, but then you have it in your leg or you have it in your head or your heart and that's what a lot of times happens Yes, the warts disappear when you have a witch doctor do something they may disappear but then you have depression as a byproduct of it. You never get a total cure. You only get a transfer of problems Now I would like to caution here against the extreme. I do not believe that all of our problems that we have in life, physical or mental or spiritual have to do with this thing. Some people they get off on this thing now that whenever they have a problem, they all at once think, well I must have been involved in witchcraft and that's why I'm depressed. No, there are other causes of depression. There are other spiritual causes. Not being fervent for the Lord or maybe even a hormonal imbalance with childbirth or something like that I do however know that many depressions and oppressions and lack of assurances and so on do have a source in this stuff if you've been involved in it. But I caution you against a radical extremism here The remedy is repentance That's the clear like I preached the other night, the remedy is not that difficult. You need to repent if you've been deeply involved You need to do it with someone Most of the simple matters I believe you can go by your bedside or in your closet and just simply say cry out to God, tell Him I'm sorry I repent and I never want any parts of it. Forgive me Lord for my blindness and say Lord sanctify me body, soul and spirit in the name of Jesus. But when it's just like pulling weeds. When I was young I was sent out to help the maid one day to clean the strawberry patch and some of the weeds were left to go that long that we both had to get hold of them to pull them out. It seems a little that way with this Some people who are so demonically influenced need help and there you need a spiritual brother or sister or oft times I recommend, most always I would recommend spiritual authority which should be an elder or a couple of brethren and that constitutes some spiritual authority that can tell what's, know what's going on and can tell it to leave and pray over them and so on is the most successful that I have found Next you destroy all objects burn, burn them in a barrel burn them outside, burn the books Number two, you break all contacts in friendship with those people. You do not keep social contact with people who are demonized or who are demonically influenced and you don't take your children to stay at their house You don't do that There have been some sad consequences of that I give you two stories of that and here's one I want to You don't take them to a funeral of a person who committed suicide or was demon possessed Two cases that I had One was a suicide case Another was a witch or a person who practiced witchcraft I think, her father was a powwow Took their children to the funeral innocently to respect the aunts, you know, or the grandma and came home that night and the little children had trouble seeing things in the room and not knowing what to do At a time like that, one called me from Georgia and said, what do I do? We took our children along to a funeral of an uncle who committed suicide I said, don't ever take your children to a place where someone has committed suicide But anyway, I said, you lay hands on that child and take authority over it in the name of Jesus and tell that thing to let it alone and claim the blood of Jesus over it and he did that, the mother tried to do it, it didn't work the father did it with some spiritual authority and that was the end of it I haven't heard of it again Oh, but the family will never understand They don't need to understand This is big stuff! Obey God Just like Israel was not supposed to have interaction with the Canaanites Don't you either Recognize it and confess it Renounce and declare yourself free from it Accept forgiveness by faith Find your way to prayer meetings, revival meetings a good spiritual church Spend some time in fasting and prayer and dedicate yourself completely to Jesus Christ You know, it's not difficult but I find these people, I never find any of them who I can ask the question Have you ever given your heart and life to Jesus Christ? Completely and they don't know what I'm talking about, hardly Be filled with the Holy Spirit and set yourself to obey the word of God Now Revelation 21.8 in closing But the fearful and the unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and harmongers and sorcerers and idolaters All liars shall have their part in the lake of fire on the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death Remember, that those who practice witchcraft cannot enter the kingdom of heaven and I want to explain something concerning idolatry In John, 1 John 5 The Bible says, I think it's 1 John 5 Little children, keep yourself from idols This is idolatry Just like I told you, when you do this stuff it's just the same as if you try to worship God and then go to Ashtoreth or you go over to Baal It is idolatry of the same kind. I don't believe it was any worse for Israel to offer to the true God and then go over to try to appease Ashtoreth and the heathen with that one in between there That's what people are doing and the thing in a nutshell can be called idolatry That's what it is. It's going after heathen gods and it is bowing down and you lay your bodies on their tables and let them do with you what they want It's sin Idolatry, witchcraft Those that do such things shall not enter the kingdom of heaven Alright, so much for the message I just want to encourage you tonight I don't know, maybe most of you believe this Most of you understood it Like I say, it's not my words It's in the scriptures You can search it out, you can look at it If you want the list of scriptures, I can give you the list of scriptures again or you get a tape and go listen to it again and take your bible and go through every scripture and underline it and study the scriptures that I gave you There are a bunch more that you can get. Look up all those words Familiar spirits Divination Sorcery, witchcraft Two staying and so on and you'll come up with an education I do recommend tonight, we're going to give an invitation. If you have any of these experiences in your life where there is a darkness upon your soul where you feel you're hindered in your Christian life and you need help where a brother or a sister or somebody helps you renounce this thing and repent of it You respond to the elder here They'll take you downstairs, put you in a circle, you renounce your involvement the next one renounces theirs and that's fine. If you have a special problem where you know you have demonic activity somehow in your life that you hear stuff and see stuff and sense stuff that is not of God, then I also recommend you to come forward and repent and we'll try and help you as you confess and bring the thing out If you're mildly affected Let's say you went to a reflexologist or you once took to a homeopathic doctor or something like that If it's a simple thing that you just unknowingly went to them and you partook of it, that's something I believe you can handle at home. Just get to your closet, your bedside, repent of it and say, I didn't realize but I realized I did this and did that and did the other thing. I don't sense I have any problem with it, you know I'm still okay. Then you just ask the Lord to forgive you for it and set your heart never to do it again and yield your life to Jesus Christ because the Bible says one of the offenses of God is the fact that you run to that and not to Him That's the offense. That you go to the other sources and you don't come to me, saith God and if you have a physical malady then ask for a nighty with oil in the name of the Lord like the Scripture makes provision for that and God will heal you if you confess your faults to one to another. I'm not saying he always does, but God can take care of you plus I think it's okay to use herbs for the healing of mankind in their pure sense or go to a doctor. It's not wrong in my mind but at the same time watch out for these practitioners they're lurking in every health food store and in every chiropractor office and those places and that's where we tend to go. Watch out for them. Sit down with your chiropractor and ask him how he feels about this stuff or whether he's into any other thing besides adjusting the back or the bones and you'll soon discover whether he's into new age medicine and if he is then bid your exit, bid him good day and leave him and never go back again That's what I recommend.
