Sermon Summary
Chuck Smith discusses the topic of demon possession, explaining the nature of demons as wicked spirits that can inhabit and control human bodies, causing various physical and mental afflictions. He explores the uncertain origins of demons, scriptural cases of possession, and the difference between possession and oppression. Smith emphasizes that individuals can become possessed through practices like spiritism and that believers have authority over demons through Jesus Christ. Ultimately, he reassures that complete victory is found in Christ, encouraging believers to resist the devil and not give him a foothold.
