Well, we're looking at the Great passage in Revelation chapter 5 verse 12 when it says about the Lord Jesus This is where we're going that all power and riches and wisdom Strength and glory and honor and blessing belong to the Lord there's this crescendo of declaring these seven different aspects of Jesus's leadership that will be openly manifest on the earth And that's the theme of this session the main verse we're going to break that down just phrase by phrase But I want to give the context to Revelation chapter 5 verse 12 Well, we're in Psalm 2 we looked at the other day when David described that Trinitarian dialogue he heard the father and the son speaking one to another and they were Responding in context to the rage of the kings of the earth who were threatening who are right speaking these statements of disdain against God's leadership And the father in Psalm 2 verse 6 He declares he goes I've already set my king on my holy mountain my holy hill Which means Jerusalem he goes my king is already. It's already determined and my the eternal counsels of the Godhead that My king will be in place nothing can stop this from happening then in verse 8 The father invites the son ask of me He says I'll give you the nation's your inheritance It's your rightful inheritance that you would be preeminent in all the nations That you would have the full authority and power and riches and wisdom and strength from all the nations it would be yours He said and even the very ends of the earth every sphere of society Every strata of society all the infrastructure of society Would obey you and serve your purpose and the fruit of their labors would be bringing Honor and glory to you and all the spheres of society the very ends of the earth Well, the father has all has the father in verse 6 says that I've set my king on my holy hill of Zion Jesus is set on his throne in two installments He was enthroned in heaven as a man. We're talking about set as a man It's not unusual that God the Son would be king For God to be king is a Reasonable reality. I mean that makes sense what is unusual is that a man is king and Though we know Jesus is fully God and fully man. It's the humanity it's the son of David dimension that is such a makes this such a startling statement and As a man Jesus was enthroned in heaven first At the resurrection and thrown to the right hand of the father But the day is coming where he will be enthroned in Jerusalem on the earth Says in Jeremiah 3 17 that Jerusalem the city of Jerusalem will be called the throne of the Lord one day Because the throne of Jesus will be the most prominent glorious feature of the city of Jerusalem That's why the city will be called the throne of God because the throne will be so prominent and it will be the center of everything That's related that happens in that city would be the throne of glory Jesus is thrown and all the nations will be gathered to Jesus in Jerusalem for a thousand years on the earth called the Millennial Kingdom paragraph B Jesus as a man Will be recognized by everyone everyone in the nations will see him a man as King over all the earth one man king over all the nations Zechariah 14 the Lord and speaking of Jesus himself the son of David He shall be king over all the earth. That's the great theme of the book of Zechariah Will also the great theme of the book of Revelation is that Jesus is returning to the earth to be king of the nations That's the great three theme of the book of Revelation. So it's the kingship of Jesus. We We do well to focus on that theme and to grow in our understanding of it paragraph C Jesus's kingship is manifest on the earth in part in this age. We see evidences of the kingdom of God to all throughout the earth Where the reign of God where Jesus is obeyed where Jesus is magnified But it's only in part do we see the evidences and the expressions of the kingdom but in the age to come The kingdom of God will be fully displayed in every eye. I'm talking about in the natural every eye will see The evidences and the expressions of the rule of Jesus in every sphere of life in every nation of the earth Revelation 20 references this Talks about the time when the Saints will reign with Christ for a thousand years Well Christ will reign for a thousand years on the earth then after that is the new heavens in the new earth But after after this age, there's that millennial kingdom for 1,000 years millennium means a thousand Then after that the father's throne comes to the earth The Bible calls it the new heaven and the new earth But there's a thousand year period of which Jesus will reign on the earth and there will be people with natural bodies Living in the nations though the Believers through history we will have been raised from the dead or raptured if you're alive when the Lord comes You'll be raptured and get your resurrected body right there in the air And if you're with the Lord through history, you'll get your resurrected body The Saints will live in the New Jerusalem, but the New Jerusalem will come down to the earth and there will be this fluid Interaction this deep connection between the Saints in the New Jerusalem with the resurrected bodies and people with natural bodies on the earth the nations will continue for a thousand years, but Satan will be in prison and the kingdom of God will be displayed and Natural life will go on and the people that the unsaved survivors of the Great Tribulation will become born again and they will honor the Lord and they'll have families and their children will have children and they'll need to be born again and the kingdom of God will be Flourishing and the Garden of Eden kind of conditions will progressively Expand and and fill the earth and it's in this context that Revelation chapter 5 verse 12 all the power riches wisdom strength and glory honor blessing are Openly manifest before all the nations that it all comes to Jesus and it all magnifies Him It's all under His leadership openly before the nations in this I mean in in the earth with a natural realm again, we're living in the New Jerusalem It's come down to the earth, but we're reigning on the earth and there's this effortless interchange between Resurrected Saints in the New Jerusalem and their position of reigning on the natural earth in the Millennium Just like angels can move in and out of the heavenly realm in the earthly realm effortlessly Without any barriers of time and and space and distance So the Saints with the resurrected bodies will be able to do that for a thousand year period At this time for a thousand years the kingdom of God will be openly manifest in every sphere of society again, that's the subject of Revelation 5 12 that all power riches wisdom is openly seen as belonging to Jesus Now our position here as a leadership team is historic pre-millennialism That's our view of the end times and many of you know what that means and some of you said I don't know that term Well, I'm gonna skip it right now But that's I'm just wanting you to understand our view and our our view along with that is a post-tribulation rapture with a victorious church being significant walking in the power of God in the midst of the tribulation period and Being a present when the Lord returns and then ushers in that new age called the Millennial Kingdom paragraph D The father has promised that he would make Jesus preeminent in everything He'll be preeminent on the earth. He'll be preeminent in the New Jerusalem He will be this man again. It's not Jesus as God. He is fully God. I don't minimize that That's one of my great favorite themes of I mean truths of the Word of God the deity of Jesus He's eternally God. He's the uncreated God like the Father in the Spirit There was never a time where the second person of the Trinity did not exist always the uncreated God like the Father in the Spirit But the the drama that unfolds is God became man it's the human dimension the Son of David becoming preeminent a Human is preeminent a man is He's preeminent in the New Jerusalem he's preeminent on the earth and those two realms are emerging together the natural realm and the spirit realm as We've covered in the other classes previous to this session well to really understand the heavenly drama of Revelation 5 When the Father gives the Son the title deed to the earth as a man to understand that drama that we're going to look at Just a moment. We have to go back to get the context from Genesis chapter 1 Genesis chapter 1 verse 28 God gave Adam and Eve dominion over the earth And when he gave Adam and Eve dominion over the earth, it wasn't just giving it to those two but to their offspring In other words, he was entrusting the earth realm to humans and This was an eternal stewardship that God never reversed when Adam sinned God's plan for humans to have dominion over the earth was not canceled. I Believe that is an eternal stewardship That the human race will always have the dominion over the earth Of course, it's only the redeemed that are connected to Jesus and under his leadership and part of his body as He rules as king of kings his People redeemed through history will rule under him, but they will rule with him the earth. They'll rule the earth forever and forever Well in Psalm Psalm 8 Okay, God this I mean the Holy Spirit spoke this truth to David again So after Adam sinned after Israel sinned after David sinned God says I just want to reiterate again I've not revoked the the dominion mandate. I've given it to the human race It's always been my purpose that I would manifest my glory through humans and my glory would fill the earth But through my people and that would be my eternal plan Well paragraph F the problem was that when Adam sinned and he yielded to Satan in the temptation he Forfeited his place of authority. He gave it to Satan So dominion over the nations a dimension of it a dimension of that dominion was now Satan's legal right and When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness in Luke chapter 4 and the devil appeared to him The devil said to him he said he showed Jesus all the nations of the world all the kingdoms are all the nations of the world And he said to Jesus all of this authority over the nations. I have an element of Adam's dominion has been really has a been forfeited and I have the legal right over a dimension of the nations He says for it's been delivered to me and when Satan said to Jesus the authority of the nations has been delivered to me He meant by Adam He says that he gave me his place. He forfeited his place And so he looked at Jesus. He said I can give the authority of the nations I can give that particular place to anyone I want And he told Jesus if you'll bow down and worship me, I'll give it to you Jesus's answer was no No, it is written. I'll worship the Lord my God, and I'll only worship him and That Jesus Satan was offering Jesus authority over the nations as a man without going through the cross Jesus said no. No, I'll go through the cross. I'll defeat you I'll defeat death and as a man, I will win the right in order to rule the nations I'll pay the debt of sin and I will be the rightful heir of the nations of the earth as a man and I will triumph over you visibly. It will be manifest before all the nations And Satan was desperate to get Jesus to take the shortcut. He said I'll give it to you I'll give to you what Adam gave to me Jesus said no. No, I'll win it rightfully from you. I'll pay the debt and I'll defeat you and I'll defeat death as a man and I'll bring my people into their rightful place and all that God Originally intended when he created Adam and Eve that was lost in a temporary way as Satan became the god of this world 2nd Corinthians 4 4 says Jesus is I'll win it all back And that's the drama that we look at now and on page 2 The grand drama in heaven where it describes the resurrected Christ The second person of the Trinity, but in his humanity again, his deity is not minimized at all Jesus was never ever less than God at any time during the process But there's a great drama that comes to this crescendo in verse 12 When all of the sphere of society all the authority all the power the riches and glory is Seen and openly demonstrated as under Jesus's authority Revelation 5 describes Jesus's destiny as King to rule the earth, but to rule the earth as a man Again, this is so Amazing because it's not unusual that God Jesus as God would rule But it's as a man the son of David an heir one of David's great-great-great great-grandchildren Is this man? John in an open vision. He saw the father Giving the title deed the scroll which I many a Bible scholars through history many commentators Agree that the scroll that was in the father's hand included in it the title deed the rightful ownership of the planet and Several other things as well John saw the father Giving this scroll to the son. He saw the son and his humanity as the last Adam taking this scroll and taking the responsibility To cleanse the earth of evil and to rule the world in love and righteousness Well, let's look at this drama this familiar passage in John in Revelation chapter 5 John said I saw in the right hand of him And what he means the right hand of him. He means the right hand of the father I saw a scroll I saw and again in that scroll is the title deed of the earth and The scroll was sealed with seven seals and one of the reasons why scholars and theologians through history believe it's the it includes the title deed of the earth because at the end of the opening of the scroll all Of the dimensions of the nations are seen as under Jesus's leadership in verse 12 the verse that we're focused on We're getting to that the end result of the scroll open is Everything is attributed to obeying Jesus and under his authority and honoring him verse 2 John said I saw a strong angel and this strong angels in the presence of God and he cries out The great question of the hour who is worthy to open the scroll And the idea isn't is God worthy. Of course. God is what man is able to do this? He cried out what man is able to do it what man deserves this place of honor and authority Of all the human race. Is there a man that's capable of this level of leadership? Who is deserving of this level of leadership the cry goes forth? Who is worthy what man could take the scroll from the father? Verse 5 one of the 24 elders Spoke up because there is a man It's the lion of the tribe of Judah. He's a Jewish man When it says he's of the tribe of Judah, it means he's human He's from the lineage of Judah one of the twelve sons of Jacob He's a Jewish man, he's a human he goes he's worthy So it's not only the statement that he's human. It's the statement that he's of the tribe of Jew, I mean he's from the lineage of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. He's a Jewish man, but he's lion-like in his character. He's fierce He's powerful He is unrelenting in his zeal when it comes to love and righteousness He goes he has prevailed he's conquered all the opposition He prevailed over the temptation of Satan in the way that Adam fell He paid the debt of sin He paid the rightful debt so that in the court of God justice was satisfied He prevailed over death He prevailed over Satan he prevailed in all of these ways Yes, he can open the scroll and the idea of opening the scroll is then he could walk out all that the scroll Contained all the privileges and the authority and all the actions that are that are implied in that scroll Jesus is able to walk them out and to carry that responsibility verse 6 Then in the midst of the throne Right in the very presence of the father where this drama is unfolding Stood a lamb as though slain a lamb with the wounds of death in his body is the idea so this fierce lion is also a Gentle and humble lamb. He's fierce in his zeal that he will not let anything Stop him from love and righteousness and justice filling the earth But he's not only fierce as a lion he's gentle and he's humble like a lamb and he has the marks of Death in his body a lamb as though slain a lamb with the wounds in his body and this Lion-like man who is like a lamb in his meekness with wounds Verse 7 he stood up and he took the scroll out of the hand of the father I mean a man going to the father and taking out of the father's hand I mean when there is no other that can approach the father like this and take something from the father's hands When he took the scroll out of the hands He was assuming the responsibility That was implied in the contents of the scroll When he took the scroll he was saying I can cleanse the earth of evil I can drive the evil one off the planet through my plan. I Have the capacity to rule the world in righteousness When he took the scroll he said openly before the court of heaven. I am worthy and I am able for the task paragraph B Verse 8 When he had taken the scroll When this man this lion-like man with the meekness of a lamb He took the scroll from the hand of the father and accepted the responsibility to cleanse the planet of evil to drive Satan off the planet And to rule the planet in righteousness the four living creatures The 24 elders they fell down overwhelmed They fell down before the lamb Because they saw that the intention of God for the human race that which God had ordained Originally for Adam and Eve and their offspring to walk in the leadership of the planet under the father's authority to the father's glory But that plan that seemed to fail and to be forever gone was now fully recovered by this man so they fell down before the lamb and They sang a song directed at him Overwhelmed the original intention of God has not been lost but it was fully restored and recovered by a man and They sang you are worthy To take the scroll you are worthy to open its seals Now when they said you are worthy they were declaring you deserve this authority nobody else Deserves this preeminence this all-inclusive Position of total authority you deserve it That's what they were crying when they said you were worthy, but they were saying more than you are you deserve it They were saying you are capable I Mean beloved what if a whole nation gave you total authority over the nation what an overwhelming task I mean what a daunting task for one nation Well this man will take all the nations Settle all the problems bring the full purpose of God to completion and sustain it forever and forever He is worthy. He is capable. This is not like any other man But not only is he deserving of that preeminent position that all-inclusive Position of total power not only is he capable he's not going to stumble he has the wisdom He has the love he has the sustainable righteousness to actually do this forever When the angels and the four and the elders cried out you are worthy they were saying you're worth it you're worth it You're worth it to give you our unqualified trust You are worth it that we would trust your leadership to give you our sacrificial obedience We will obey you we will trust you you've proved yourself worthy of our obedience of our trust. You're worth it When we say that sing the song the many worship songs that have the phrase you are worthy I love to say you're worth it Lord if I had to do it over again. I would do it over again I would obey you more. I would trust you with greater zeal Talk to believers over the years and and I understand this I'm not saying this in a and a negative put down way I hear it all the time as a pastor, and oh, it's just not worth it anymore. I can't continue That's one of the big lies of the devil. It's not worth it anymore. I can't continue. It's too much Right and I ask him I go. Do you know what the options are? No, what do you mean? I go obeying Jesus or not obeying Jesus. I go the options are bad. I Said you do realize there is no such thing as a ceasefire in the spirit You can't say Satan. I've had it for a while. Just give me a little vacation time echo. There is no ceasefire doesn't exist When you say I can't take it I can't it's not worth it anymore You're just saying I'm gonna lay down my weapons it gets slaughtered by Satan. I go you can't we're in a war zone right here Well apart from that The fact that the options are really bad when people say I'm just not worth it I go like do you really realize what the option is of not going hard after the Lord? Again, there is no ceasefire There is no doing again your life again. Like well, you know, I wasted 20 years I'll just do Lord. Give me those 20 years. I mean he'll restore things, but you can't make those 20 years up. They're lost forever. I Go now you you really don't want to go down that old familiar path. It's not worth it. I Go but beyond the fact the options are bad. He's worth it Do you know what he who he is and what he did and how he feels about you? Do you notice plan is for your life forever? Do you know who you are to him and he is to you? I'll tell you he's worth it He is worthy He's deserving he's capable and he is worth it if we had to do it over again We would do it over again, but even with greater focus in greater zeal Well in verse 9 back in paragraph B Revelation 5 verse 9. They sang the song You're worthy and The reason you're worthy Because you were slain That's number one reason that you were worthy. You were slain Number two reason you redeemed us you paid the price and Then you made us kings and priests and invited us into the rule of the earth that only you deserve to rule What what the angels what the living creatures and the elders are are singing they say you were slain when you had all the power When you were fully God again, he's forever fully God, but when you had all the privileges of deity You laid aside the privileges became a man when you had all the power You used your position to manifest love for us Yes, we trust you when all the authority was yours You laid down the privileges took upon the form of a man bore the wrath of God and included us by your free grace You're worthy because when another man has all the power he waivers with what he does with it It doesn't always do with it what he set out to do before he had the power But with Jesus it's opposite he had all the power on the front end and he laid down the benefits of walking in that power and he became a man and He endured many things for our sake Beloved his track record is clear. We can trust him. He's deserving of this position He's proved it when he had everything that he was thinking of us We can trust this man Because he not only deserved to rule he included us in the rule I mean imagine it's you and me. It's weak and broken people. It's the redeemed of history I mean people like us don't deserve to rule the earth forever But it's this extravagant. I mean Outrageous grace one man said I'm in beyond human comprehension. You and I have a destiny to rule. We're in the Aristocracy the ruling family the royal family of the earth forever. We're in that family forever Beloved he's worth it He's worth whatever. We're going through to obey him to seek him to go against the grain of our unrenewed emotions and unrenewed thinking and Hostility and challenge it's worth it because of who he is Who we are to him who he is to us Well, they proclaim the song Throughout around in the court of God verse 9 you are worthy then again in a minute. We'll look at verse 11 They proclaim it again. You are the worthy one. Let's go to top of page 3 Paragraph E Now the angels weigh in before it was the elders and the living creatures, which I Understand they represent the highest government of heaven the highest government of heaven The 24 elders and the four living creatures. They're saying to the father. We agree with giving that man all the authority I mean what if a man was presented in our nation and They wanted to have a vote to give him total authority over all the banking system over all the property of the land over the military the education one man no Counter Balances of government give it all to one man. We'd go. No, no, no, no, no, please don't please don't don't do that That is a disaster for our nation. I Mean the communist countries have tried that and it's really goes bad when one man has all the authority Well, the 24 elders of the four living creatures. They said he's worthy. We agree father We are fully confident because of the man's resume look at his history. He's proven what he'll do when he has all the power He sheds his blood For those that he loves that's what he does when he has all the power Well verse 11 now the angels the myriads of angels they go Can we weigh in we agree with the elders of the living creatures? We agree with you father that man deserves the scroll. He's the only one that is capable and worthy of the scroll and Then they proclaim and really they're it's a it's a prophetic declaration they're prophesying his earthly destiny They're talking about what this man the son of David what he would Experience even on the earth and they said worthy is the Lamb or let me say worthy is this man? Who died? To receive and he gives seven spheres of the leadership of society on the earth He's worthy to receive all the power He's worthy to receive all the riches Well, God already has the riches. We're not talking about God having all the power and riches. God already has all the power and riches We're talking about a man Receiving all the power and all the riches on the earth before all the nations witnessing it This is a grand statement. This is the future of the earth this is the destiny of the human race and the balance of this declaration of the angels because they're just Proclaiming the father's decree that my son is my king and I've established him on my holy hill that's what these angels are agreeing with Psalm 2 verse 6 when God the father said I've already set my king upon my hill. This is what the angels are agreeing with in essence All the wisdom Well, God already has all the wisdom why would God receive wisdom he has all wisdom is not talking about God again Jesus is fully God, but in his humanity all the fruit of all the wisdom The fruit of it would come under Jesus's leadership and It would serve his purposes on the earth forever and forever all the strength the honor the glory the blessing Now this word receive is you know, I remember my early days reading this It was such a although I only understand a little bit of it now But I said, how can God receive power and riches doesn't he already have all the money? I mean, what's that mean? Well, Jesus is receiving this from the father as the human king But it's not only that he's receiving it from the father. There's more to this proclamation He's gonna receive it from the leaders of the nations when he's ruling in Jerusalem all the nations of the earth They would gladly give this to him as well Now when the father gives him all power That's one thing but when the nation's give him power what it means is that their sphere the fruit of the power they have They're bringing the fruit of it and they're submitting it to him to his leadership to magnify who he is So there's a two-fold receiving that's going on. He's receiving it from the father But he's also receiving the response of the nations saying all the power we have we're giving the fruit of it We're giving the leadership of it. We're giving the onus of a to you We'll obey you with the sphere of authority we have on the earth Look at paragraph G. Let's look at each one of these just Just a 60 seconds on each one The idea I want you to get is that Though Jesus has all of this authority right now from the father and though born-again believers through history You know, there's a Christian governor. He says the power that I have I'm submitting my office to you And I'm gonna seek you and obey your will so in that limited sense Power in that sphere is being offered to the Lord and the human sense But there's a day when it goes beyond partial like it is in this age It will be a full demonstration all the nations will give these seven things to the Lord I mean the leaders of the nation's the individuals of the nation's the national governments as well as the Individuals and families will all offer these seven things. I mean, this is a colossal statement This is a the implications are beyond anything we could really picture But the future security of the earth in love and righteousness and humility is Bound in one man having the total authority over all seven of these fears these realms of human life First of all, all the power will be his God the father he'll receive it from the father The father will ordain that all the political power over the nations will stem from him. That's a decree of the father But it's not only political power there's the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit The father says I have anointed this man with the Spirit without measure all the power is his But this issue of power doesn't stop there with father decreeing it and the father saying it is my will Yes, it's my it's my plan from the beginning But it's when Jesus is on the earth The political the kings of the earth It says in Revelation 21 They will bring the glory of their nations and they will bring it to him and submit it to him So it's not only that God the father gives Jesus all the political power Those that are on the earth that have a sphere of political power the fruit of that power the influence of that power They will consciously bring it to him and submit it to him every sphere of power on the earth I mean, this is a huge statement There's nothing like it in history paragraph H It goes beyond the political and spiritual power all the riches all the financial resources all the banking institutions of the Millennial Kingdom Will fully be under the authority of Jesus and the leaders of those institutions and all the nations will fully submit The influence of the authority and the fruit of all they have to Jesus to honor him They'll come to Jerusalem and they'll say I'm over the bank of this nation or that nation, but it's all yours You tell me I'll do whatever's in your heart and whatever I can do in my wisdom and leadership under the grace of God, I will bring the fruit of that and Bring it all in a way and submit it to you that you would be glorified in it all the natural resources of all the nations Not just the banking systems all the natural resources the oil The gas the water all the resources of the earth They're all contained in this one man Will not only have the authority of it from the father, but the men and women on the earth They're actually over it in their nation their city their region They will bring their sphere of influence and the fruit of their sphere and they will submit it to him all the wealth of all the nations again massive statement We could spend an hour on each one of these phrases and break down the implications of what that would look like next all the wisdom Jesus has all the wisdom. He's the greater Solomon He hasn't not he has He has all the wisdom to bring every sphere of life on the earth in the age to come Well, he has the wisdom now, but when he's ruling I mean as a man with a physical human body a resurrected body But a human physical body on the earth in Jerusalem. He will have enough wisdom I mean the greater Solomon beyond measure that he could bring every sphere of society to God's full original Intention what God had in his heart from the beginning this man Jesus will understand how to bring that forth in the nations And Isaiah chapter 2 it says all the nations of the earth will go to him to learn of his ways They'll go to Jerusalem. I'm talking about those with natural bodies I'm not talking about those whose resurrected bodies living in the New Jerusalem but the nations will be populated with people with natural bodies having children and offspring and Becoming born again the devil's in prison Righteousness is filling the earth. The glory of God is covering the earth literally These leaders of the nations Isaiah chapter 2 they will come to Jerusalem. Jesus will teach him teach them of his ways He won't only teach them the ways of morality, you know, he won't just define purity and how to walk out purity He'll teach them about technology. He'll teach them about agriculture He'll teach them about environment. He'll teach them about banking. He'll teach them about every type of sphere of life I mean we're talking about the greater Solomon they'll go and have conferences in Jerusalem go back home and in an Implement that which they learned as all the nations come to Jerusalem to learn their the ways of God from one man Who is this man? Who is this man beloved? This is the man we worship tonight Paragraph J all the strength All the physical resources, you know when it says love the Lord your God with all of your strength I believe that means your physical energy. That means your economics them. That means all your real human resources The nation's will gladly offer the fruit of their strength to him Whatever their strength produces They will say you have the leadership and we wanted to serve what's in your heart I Mean just imagine this the end of paragraph J. They will love Jesus with all their strength I mean all that the nation's all through the earth billions of people They will love him. They'll use their time their money their energy their influence Those are all dimensions of strength. All the strength will be given to him And what that means in this context is that the fruit of the labors of the nations would be given to him I Mean he's God. He already has strength. I mean spoke and created the earth. I mean, he doesn't need muscles That's not what it's talking about It's talking about the fruit of the strength of the nation's being submitted to him and brought to him Again, like in Revelation 21 verse 24 the kings of the earth will bring the glory of the nation's the strength of the nation's to him Paragraph K All the glory now this word glory there's several ways to take this word. I mean each one of these includes so much more than Then I'm talking about tonight even more than I understand. There's layers to each one of these but I'm just wanting to give us a different picture of the future a different picture of this man and Who he really is He's not just the God of heaven he's the God and he's the king of the earth and That's the man We're gonna be ruling and reigning with I'm just creating a different picture from the Bible of what the future looks like and your involvement on the earth forever and forever Well, the word glory could include a number of different things When you use the word glory in the scripture, there's four or five different meanings you contribute. I'm just picking one of them I Love the phrase in Philippians where it says Paul says I glory in Christ Jesus. I love that phrase That they would glory in him In Proverbs it talks about and children glory in their father And that's one application of the word glory. There's several that are biblical But all the people of the earth they will glory in him They will give him their love their adulation They will praise him with great delight not because they're forced They will say we glory in you. We are so filled with affection and delight and adulation for you The fame of his name will cover the earth The Saints will boast in him. They will glory in him. They will be preoccupied with him with love and affection Meaning he won't only be a sovereign that they find it's wise to obey They will be a sovereign they delight to obey they delight to be near I mean there could be uh, there are examples of great leaders in history That the nations of that leader said yes, we can embrace your ways, but it's more than that They glory they will they will boast in him He will be the Magnificent obsession of the peoples of the earth this man All the honor will be brought to him an honor like glory can have three or four biblical applications I'm just picking one Paul talked about in Ephesians 6 honor your parents and when he used the word honor in that Context in the New Testament it meant honor your parents with respectful obedience and honor means more than that But that's one facet of honor I'm just highlighting here That Jesus will be honored through all the nations in practical ways. The nations will obey his word They won't just enjoy him and and be filled with adulation They'll actually obey him in the practical ways in their life and in the nation's they will serve his agenda Jesus will be the most obeyed respected listen to person in history Not just on the earth in that time in all of history. There'll be no man more obeyed and listened to respected to than him When the final Declaration of all the angels all the blessing will be his and again like glory and honor the word blessing. There's four or five Applications in the Bible to the word blessing, but I'm only picking one of them. I think all of them could fit here Again, I'm just wanting to give us just a brief Snapshot of where this thing could be going, you know when we talk about Blessing the plans of a leader their agenda that would mean to be in cooperation with it All the nations will bless everything that he proclaims rather than resisting him rather than having an opposition party rather than over in the corner figuring out ways to to subvert and Resist and Neglect what he's saying the nation's will bless him. He will say we're doing it this way in that way They will say yes, and amen. Yes, and amen all the blessing of the nations will be his Such enthusiastic cooperation Will result in the most unified joyful effective workforce in human history the social impact of the nations In unity blessing every one of his policies and ways No opposition party No revolutions rising up against him. No resistance to him This will bring great benefit to the nations of the earth We'll end with paragraph D We can respond to this sevenfold exaltation of Jesus where the end of bottom of page three will this end with this I Mean what do we do with these seven with the declaration of his supremacy and preeminence in these seven ways? number one as a as a worshiper I Read these and I think on them ask the Holy Spirit teach me more searching out the scripture You know searching out what other Bible teachers have said about it gleaning anything I can from this. I've said Lord show me One thing that I'm struck by the beauty of this man his majesty his destiny I go Oh, you're just amazing. It's amazing though I can't fully picture what it all looks like then though He has that authority from God right now, and it's partially from his people They're giving him this kind of response partially even in this age, but when I picture the fullness, I think oh Who are you? remarkable amazing The branch of the Lord is beautiful and excellent Isaiah 4 verse 2 Isaiah said in that day the branch of the Lord meaning the Messiah He would be seen his excellency across the earth the nations will see his excellency Well, we can see that in part even now. I study these themes. I'm filled with adulation and his beauty Number two when I look at these seven spheres of honor and authority in society I go Lord in I want my money to be obey you now. I want my strength to obey you now I don't want to wait till then Whatever wisdom you've given me and whatever fruit comes out of that wisdom. I want that to be submitted to you now I Want a glory in you now not just then and the number three We want to work together We want to partner with others we don't want to just give our personal lives and our hearts to him We want to labor with others and prayer and giving and work to see all these fears Whatever level of authority God gives us or influence in whatever sphere of life. We bring it to him now We're working to see Jesus honored in all of these arenas of life now Well, I tell you I the nations of the earth One day they will all echo what the angels cried worthy is the Lamb It is good for the nations it is good for us that all of the power and the riches and the wisdom all the Strength and honor and glory all of it It is good for us that this man has it all Well, beloved, that's how we're giving ourselves to the Lord even now This is the message of the King that we're proclaiming even now that's fully manifest in the Millennial Kingdom Well, amen and amen Let's stand You know on page four. I just take each one of those and give some practical little one-liner applications. You can read that on your own Just to kind of give you an idea of how you can apply this. I mean, it's only a hint. There's so much more To these seven that I could put down a paper even that I understand I want us to respond to the Lord right now. I want us to bring Whatever sphere of power you have whatever maybe you're over a little part of a school system Maybe you're a over little part of a business. Maybe you're the leader of the business. Maybe you're an elder in a church That's part of the sphere of authority Maybe you're the head of your household. That's a sphere of authority You want to say Lord? I want to bring it to you. I want to make sure you're honored in it now Your riches Lord. I want you to govern my money My wisdom whatever fruit of what I've produced in my life under your grace I want to bring it to you on and on and on Jay Lead us in the songs that you love best Jay loves the Worthy magnifying God. He always picked those songs lead us in a few of them Let's in this conference Just giving ourself in a fresh way to the king of the nations He's my king now, not just that he's king now over my life and your life Worthy is the Lamb Oh, we love you Jesus You are worth it God Commit yourself in your ministry to work for these now. He is our king now Is God before time we are Is Oh, we love you Jesus You are worth it. Jesus You are worth it. Jesus The devil is a liar You are worth it. You're worth our obedience Tell him you had to do it over again you'd give more of your love more of your time more of your energy to him He's worth it My We'll see I
