(In the Word) 13 - Healing in the Old Covenant
Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the speaker emphasizes the importance of dealing with sin before being released from captivity. He references Mark 6:3, where Jesus sends out his disciples as lambs among wolves, highlighting the innocence and simplicity of the disciples' approach. The speaker then uses a role-playing scenario to illustrate the need to confront old traditions and wrong teachings when receiving new revelations from God's Word. The sermon encourages listeners to prioritize the Word of God over the traditions of men and to follow the teachings in a sequential and ordered manner.
Sermon Transcription
When anyone receives a revelation in the Word of God, it sometimes conflicts with what he has previously been taught. This causes you to have to deal with old traditions or wrong teaching. These tapes may contain some new light from God's Word, and it may be opposed to some traditions you have previously learned. Therefore, follow through these messages in your Bible, in sequence, in order that you may be able to make a choice for the Word of God rather than the traditions of men. This is tape number 13 in the series. We urge you to listen to all the tapes in the series in numerical order, so that the whole teaching can be received and understood. Listening to a part of the series, or to the tapes out of sequence, can lead to a misunderstanding of the nature, the intent, and the importance of the series. Incidentally, did you recall that Elver and James 4 is talking about dealing with cleansing your hands of your sinners and purifying your heart, but you double mind and deal with sin before you got over to James 5? Well, I'm glad you noticed that. Turn back to Mark 6, please. Because, see, if the enemy can keep you from dealing in sin, you don't get released from captivity. Are you hearing me? Yes, Lord. We're going to want you to be watching that. We're going to see it a host of different places over and over. If you're, if you're, if you're not taught to deal with sin, to just go ahead and walk in your stubbornness and stiff neck, then you can't be released from captivity if there's no repentance. Now, in Mark 6, we're going to see a place that Jesus, who all things have been created through Jesus Christ in heaven and earth, visible and invisible, where the thrones, dominions, rules, authority, everything is being created through Jesus Christ and for Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is before all things and in Jesus Christ all things hold together. Now, can you believe that everything created through him, that he come to a place where he couldn't do no miracle? If he couldn't do it, you can't do it. You're going to see that he could not do a miracle around unbelief. So, if wherever you get unbelief for, the powers of darkness are behind it. I know it looks good, so logical and everything, but God just doesn't work in it. So, there in 6, we look in 5. He could do, Jesus could do no miracle there, except he laid his hands upon a few sick people, and he healed them, and he wondered if they're what? Unbelief. And he was going around the village teaching, and he summoned the twelve, began to teach, send him out in prayer. Now, here he's, he's starting the church, isn't he? He was giving them authority over the unclean spirits. All right, now, I want you to look at me. I want to share something very important to you right now. I met yesterday out in the hall several people who come from Graceland Baptist Church, that church that I told you that was in the greater Louisville area. That's the first place where the Lord had used me in this situation, where we've been, where I got to see the church demonized, really. And it was in this church that I told you that this situation, we started casting the demons out of the, out of the, this church member, and I told you about, about how broken the pastor was, and when the Lord showed him, and it would be to you, it would be to all of us. He's a godly man, and he and I sat down together with another brother, Jim Hilton, and I was going through the Word, and I was sharing some things right after this happened about healing. This man taught over in Southern Seminary in boy's school, and I came to the Scripture that I'm picturing to read with you, the second one I'm picturing to read to you, and I want to tell you what he said. He said, I taught Mark in seminary, and I've never seen that Scripture before in my life. And so, I just want to just share that with you, because I'm telling you what, see, when you look at the Bible through tunnel vision, when you've got tunnel vision to the Bible, there's certain things you'll never, never, never, never, ever see when you've received the life. It's blocked out to you. And I'm going to show you that you can't go and explain it to somebody. You can not go and explain it and make your mother see it. You can not go make your wife see it. You can not go make your husband see it. You can not make your child see it. The only one that can make them see it is the Spirit of God, and there's going to have to be something right there before they'll see it. And I'm going to show you why in just a minute. But here, the second Scripture I read is the one that he said, I taught Mark in seminary, and I have never seen that Scripture. You look there in verse 12, and they went out and preached these, the twelve, that men should repent, and they were casting out many demons, and they were what? The twelve disciples were anointed with oil, many sick people with him. Don't it seem like it just might be all right to anoint someone with oil if the twelve disciples did it? And that same chapter earlier there, Jesus laid hands on the sick, doesn't it seem like it just might be all right to lay hands on the sick? There might be something to it if Jesus did it, huh? Ain't that right? And Jesus laid his hands on them in verse 5. So it says that over and over and over, and he turns around and tells us to do the same ministry, before we get so smart that we got a new ministry. We only have one ministry, and that's the ministry of Jesus, the works he do, so you do also. Don't fight it. It's fun, and greater works these of you do. Okay, in Mark 6, you know at one point, I don't want you to turn to it, but in John 4 or 48, Jesus said to them, unless you people see signs and wonders, you're not going to believe. You're not going to believe the word. You have to see it before you believe it. Well, you don't get to see it. He said, Matthew 13, 54 through 58, it says, and this is a carpenter's son that took offense at him. Do you remember we looked at that before? See, people became offended when Jesus set them free, and they don't know. Do you want to sign a wonder? Is it what you do or Jesus did? Signs and wonders is against Satan. And the blessings, if I went ahead and read it, that you'll do signs and wonders, and the curses in Deuteronomy 28, if you don't do signs and wonders, you become a sign and wonder. They're going to do a number on you. That's either Jesus is working through you, or they're working on you. It's very simple, folks. It's exactly the way it is. So when people don't know, what is it that caused people to be offended when you do something against Satan? Them, because they've already put a lie right in there, and they are put a label, fear, intimidation, all these things. Now, let me tell you something, pastors. This whole business where the, running this over to them, where they're trying to get you to work out and sort all this out right now, and they just feel, and, and, well, you can't do that. It's not your place to. The Holy Spirit said, we're getting loaded up a lot here in three days. Everybody here is. You're going to have to get the Lord to sort all this out. Folks, don't get under any pressure. It's not up to you anyway. Rest! And, brother pastor, you don't have to go in and drop day three on them. Why don't we go in and teach about repentance? Start down here, but don't stop till you get up there. And I'm going to tell you something, brother. Now, are you listening? When you start teaching it, and you're coming on up with it, you're going to, the more you teach, the more you get. And that's the way you get it. If you don't teach it, if you water it down, if you compromise it, you're ever learning, but never able to become the knowledge of the truth. You don't get it. When you know our truth, and you hold it back, forget it. We're going to look about that today. We're going to look about that. It'll stop. Let me tell you something, pastor. I'm just going to have to just say this. The moment you're going to go through a struggle, and the moment you decide in your heart, the day, and the very minute, the hour, and the minute, and the moment, that you decide, decide in your heart, right there, God's looking at it, that you're going with a sheep of God, and there's not going to be nothing that exists that hinders you from obeying God. There's not going to be nothing to make you fearful, intimidate you, or control you. I don't care where you're in a drugstore, walking down the street, in the church building office, or where you are. When you make that decision in your heart, when you go back home, and walk in your house, you'll find out that God has given you a new life, because junk has come off of them. There'll be so much peace around there, they'll fall down, and that'll happen the moment you make that decision in your heart, and until you do, you're going to be scared to death. I'm not speaking of curse, I draw those words back in Jesus' name. But see, it's something to work through with the Lord. Something you have to work through, because when Jesus is Lord, that is exactly the way it is. Nothing makes you fearful, nothing will intimidate you. It's Jesus. It's not Jesus, plus anything else. Now, okay, now, or another thing in Matthew 21, 14, 15, we won't turn it, but he saw all the wonderful things he did, and they became indignant. Isn't that wonderful? To see people healed, and see them set free, and to be upset over it. Turn to Luke 9, please. Luke 9. See, you don't understand why they're upset. Because those folks living in a house with them got upset, that's why. Look at me. There's a lot of folks that can move in this house right here. You hear? They start pulling levers, they start controlling. I asked them in Luke 9, verse 1, and he called the twelve together, and he gave them what? Well, how about that? Where'd that word come from? They had power, didn't they? Well, you have to have power to do this. But they not only had power, but they had authority. You know, they had died, they had died to the lust of flesh, to the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life. And he gave them power and authority, and they're not going to be like they was before. He gave them power and authority over all the demons, to heal disease. Here's a disciple, they sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God, and to perform healing. Now, there's a threefold ministry of Jesus. He just gave it to the disciples, and the interesting thing happens over Luke 10. Turn there, please. Luke 10. Luke 10, verse 1. And after this, the Lord appointed seventy what? Other what? Well, how about that? Wonder what these seventy disciples are going to do. They're going to do the same thing all disciples are supposed to do, the ministry of Jesus, the threefold ministry of Jesus. That's what you're going to see. And he sent them out to a head of him to every city and place where himself was going to come. Verse 3. Go your way, behold, I'm sending you out as what? In the midst of who? Now, are you seeing it, folks? The whole world is wolves. Adulterous is the wolves, and you're the lamb. You know, you look pretty foolish to the world. So innocent. As a matter of fact, you look fun, square, and sissy, because that's where they're broken in the flesh. See, a lamb doesn't have any motive. See, he doesn't think of all the schemes. Up here, see, scheme, that's powers of darkness. You don't have your mind going to work out all the advantage for your carton. See, a little old lamb, he just sat right out in the middle. You, the lambs, is the way we walk. Not deceitful. Everything's up front. We don't have anything deceitful going on. Everything's out front. So when you've got everything out front, you understand, it's then and only then that the powers of darkness can't talk to you. As long as they can be you deceitful and something like that, they've got you. But you've got everything out front there. I'm telling you what, when everything in your home's out front, when everything in your church's out front, when everything in your relationship's out front, the enemy cannot come and put junk suspicions against each other which you divide home. Are you seeing that? That's what a lamb does. He has everything out front. Now, look at verse 8. And whatever city you enter, and you'll see this is a congregation, they receive you, and they receive you, eat what is set before you. And you heal those who are sick, 70 disciples. Well, what about that? And say to them, the kingdom of God has come near you. How's the kingdom of God come near them? Because the kingdom of God's in them, right? With them. Okay, but whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out in the streets and say, even a dustier city which clings to our feet, will wipe off and protest against you, lest you be sure of this, the kingdom of God has come near you. Now, after the Lord had told them to go heal the sick, they said, you know, Lord, Lord, what are we going to do? Some people are not going to receive this. He said, I know that. When they don't, you go and just do your part. But when you leave, Aaron, just, when you get outside, just take your shoes off, right, and just kind of, just kind of hit them together like that. And go on to the next place. And, oh, by the way, 70 disciples, I have more, one more word for you about if people don't want to receive anything about healing. Because, after all, people are not going to receive anything healed when the devil tells them they can't heal. I can't do anything. So here's what I'd like to say to you, 70 disciples, in verse 16. The one who listened to you listened to me, disciple. The one who rejects you rejects me, disciple. And he who rejects me rejects the ones who sent me. In other words, disciple, when they reject you, they reject God. You just do what I tell you. Is that clear? Now, we come to a place right here. I want you to look at me right here, and I'm going to stand right here. Some are not looking. Now, this is very important, what I'm going to say to you, Miro. For me to be able to illustrate what I'm going to read to you right here, I'm going to be Jesus. You're going to be the 70 disciples. This is baby disciples. It's their first time out. Is that correct? That's right. It's their first time out, and they're sent out to heal the sick, to do the ministry of Jesus. First time, brand-new babies. Don't have much seniority. Then they come back, and you're going to be the 70, and I'm going to be Jesus. Now, you can kind of see me right here, can't you? Okay. Now, look with me in verse 17. When I say, look at me, I want you to look at me, but so I can show you something. Verse 17. Now, let's read. And the 70 returned with joy. They've been out. First time, baby disciples, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name, in the name of Jesus. And he said to them. Now, the subject begins on demons. Is that correct? As seen to me, the power is in darkness. And he said to them, Jesus, I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Behold, disciples, that's you. That's me. That's a 70. That's a 12. I have given you authority to tread upon these serpents and the scorpion. That's these powers of darkness. And over all, all, all, all, all, all, all the power within me. And nothing shall enter you. Why don't you remember this, little baby disciples? In verse 20. Nevertheless, baby disciples, do not rejoice in this, that the demons are subject to you. Don't rejoice in this to you, but rejoice that your name is recorded in heaven. Don't take your eyes on heaven. Don't get boxed up in deliverance. There's a whole lot more. I'm a lot more than just deliver. You hear? Don't take your eyes off of heaven. Don't just get, get boxed up there. And then look at me. Look at me right here. I want to tell you what Jesus did. Now you see me. He turned. Now some of you want to go ahead and read that next chapter. Now look at me. He turned. And you know something? You know the reason he turned, and you need to know this, this reason I want you to know it, is because he stopped telling, talking to the 70 for just a moment. It's not next day. He stopped and he turned there because he had something he wanted to say to the father. And you know what he did? He said about three, three, two verses. Here's the father he wanted to say. Now look at that verse 21. Here's what he said to the father at that very time. See, it didn't say next day, did it? At that very time, he, Jesus, rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit. There Jesus rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit and said, I praise thee, O father, Lord of heaven, that you did what? Oh, had what things? For these things, the casting out of demons, you had these things from the who? The wise and intelligent, and did reveal them to these brand new baby disciples. Isn't that something? That's the way God is. Yes, father, for thus is well pleasing in thy sight. Now look at me. Please look at me. In one verse, Jesus rejoiced greatly. It's well pleasing to the father that brand new babies will see this ministry, and the wise and intelligent, and the ones that have their eyes on them will never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, ever see it. Where's your heart? And you see the next verse, why? All things, Jesus says in verse 22, have been handed over to me, my father. No one knows who the son is except the father, who the father is except the son, and to anyone to whom the son wills to what? Look at me. It's all revelation, not intellect, not wise and intelligent. It's whosoever will. Now look at me. Is that good? Okay. Now, Jesus, after he said that, now watch me. Is everybody watching? Good. Jesus, right then, he turned back to the 70 disciples. He's through talking to the father, and he turned back to the 70 disciples. You know how I know? It says so right here in the next verse. And turning to the disciples, see there, I told you, he said what? Privately. Look at me. Now, Brother Bob, I'm glad you're back with me today. If I'm going to say something privately to you, brother, I'm going to go down, and I'll say it, and it's going to be private between you and I. That means no one else is to hear it. Is that right? Please look at me. You're going to miss what Brother Bob and I are doing. And so if I go over to you, brother, and I say something to you, it's privately. Now, he had something privately to say to these 70 disciples. That means it's not for someone else. Is it? Because nothing like this had happened back through there. You start over in Genesis. He wasn't doing these things over there. Okay, here we go. And here's what he said to them. Verse 23. Now, I'm Jesus, you're the 70 disciples. 23. And turning to the disciples, he said privately, blessed are the eyes which see the things you see. Did you see the folks over in the parable of the word that couldn't see, couldn't hear, couldn't understand? Because they had a heart problem. They were drawn near to God with their mouth, but their heart was far from him. And now he's the one that opens the eyes through revelation. He has to see who he wants to see, and those he doesn't want to see don't get to see because of this. Proud folks don't see. Humble folks see. Now, verse 24. But I say to you that many prophets and kings, baby disciples, wish to see the things which you see, and they did not see them, baby disciples, and to hear the things which you hear. And baby disciples, they did not get to hear. Now, you know something? Now, you not only got to see healing in the Word, but you got to see that when you trust other folks, if you trust blind folks, you can't see it either. Where is your heart trusting? Where is your heart? Do you let Jesus lead you in all truth? Isn't it amazing, pastor, whatever denomination you come from? You know, if you was brought up in Catholic, you were probably one. The Lord didn't call you to go over and preach in the Baptist, did he? No. You're raised up. He calls you just to preach in your structure. You see what I'm saying? So we get caught up in the things that we've been raised up, and these things are handed down and handed down, and his enemy has been coming against the people that our ancestors had dealt with these things, folks. We've been looking in the Bible here for three days. So if it has not dealt with and offended like the Pharisees when it comes up, there's some deception somewhere. Don't fight against the Word of God. Don't love your traditions more than love the Word of God, because let me tell you something, what we have isn't working. Okay, I prayed to the Lord that you hadn't any problem with healing being in the Word of God. Now all you have to do is just get in on it, and we're going to learn. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. We haven't learned all there is about healing. You see what I'm getting out of my pocket, don't you? All right. Well, let's pray. I'll tell you what. Let's just pray. I want you just to pray. I want you just to pray for a repentant heart, a godly repentance, folks. That's where we're all supposed to be living and walking. I want you to pray for this service. Pray for me. Praise your name, Lord. Father, in the name of Jesus, I just ask you for liberty and freedom. Lord, I ask for more anointing, continually more, that you only receive glory. Your Word will be anointing. And now, Lord, we receive your Word. We give you all the glory. We thank you for your grace, because it's only your grace that we can see or understand anything. And now, with the authority of your Word, I receive the grace of the Word in the blood. And I remove all oppression. Any ground given through words is canceled, and unbelief and doubt are removed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. All the works of distraction and confusion and all the works of darkness, of skepticism, and all these works now are removed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your ground is canceled. All the works of darkness that sign against Seminar are removed in Jesus' name. And now, Lord, I speak your blessings, peace, grace, love, healing, and liberty in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Well, amen. All right. You know, today we act like there's no sin problem in the church, don't we? Boy, let's don't do that. Don't you ever act like, don't you start putting that stuff on me of having a sin problem. So why teach repentance and holiness? There's no sin problem there. Why teach overcoming the world of flesh and the devil? See, the church is wise in its own eyes. Men of science have taught us, you know, that sin doesn't exist, see. It's not a sin problem. You've got a gland problem. If you don't have a sin problem, you have a social problem. If you don't have a sin problem, you've got a mental problem. See, the church today doesn't have to be responsible for anything. They're not bad, just sick. Hang in there. If you have no sin problem, just keep walking in your stubbornness as we continue to be a good Methodist, be a good Pentecostal, be a good Baptist, be a good charismatic. I'm going to tell you something. Behind these social problems, these mental problems, and these gland problems and sin, Satan is hiding. The powers of darkness hide behind, they're behind every bit of it. We're going to look at Levertson healing now, healing some more, and we're going to see some more about this healing. That's going to become clearer to you. First, I want you to know that in the covenant, you know the Lord has said, if you eat this bread, you have eternal life. Is that right? The bread is covenant. Do you know what that bread is? That bread is Jesus. That bread is the Word. He and the Word are the same. And so, we won't turn there, but in 1 Corinthians 10, there's one bread, and we who are the children of one body, and we all take of the bread, and so that's why, look here, this is called the children's bread. The children, it's the only one that gets to eat that, because it's the children's bread. The bread is the Word, Jesus. The bread is covenant. The bread is healing. The bread is salvation. This bread is love. This bread is deliverance. Ever need to have children have, this is the bread for them. It's a children's bread. Healing, deliverance of the children's bread. Now, let me ask you something. What's a dog? A dog is someone not believing the Word of God. They're outside the covenant of God. Now, and with that in mind, I want you to look at a statement that Jesus made over in Mark 7, please. In Mark 7. Mark 7. We know a dog is outside, unbelieving, outside the Word of God, and healing, deliverance, salvation, all these things are children's bread. Is that correct? Now, in Mark 7, verse 25, we see a woman who comes to Jesus, and she only asks one thing. She wants deliverance for her daughter. But after hearing a hymn, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately came, and what did she do? Now, these things are hidden in the Word. She worshiped the Lord. Worship is a very important thing for the Lord. And now the woman was a Gentile. What does that mean? She's automatically, I mean, at this time, she's outside the covenant of God. She is considered a dog. Is that correct? Of the Syro-Phoenician race, and she kept asking. I want you to mark kept asking. Because she asked and asked and asked and asked, she had to keep asking Jesus one thing. Cast the demon out of her daughter. Cast that demon out of her daughter. And he was saying. Now, Mark, he was saying. Because he kept saying and saying and saying to her, he said to her, finally, now watch very closely. See, she wasn't in the covenant. He said, let the who be satisfied? Oh, let the children be satisfied first, for it's not good to take the what? What he called deliverance. Don't take the children's bread and throw it to who? Do you see that? Folks, you don't take the children's bread. The children's bread is not for people outside the covenant of God. Do you understand that? A Gentile, she is a dog. And it's not for dogs. A dog is considered unbelievable. We read that over in Philippians 3. Beware of dogs. Unbelieving in the Word of God. But listen very closely. Are you having any problem with that? See, we always thought it was for people in Africa. Jesus is so busy just setting people free. That's not in covenant with Him. I'd like you to show me where that is sometime. Because that's when you begin getting free, when you get in covenant. So you can use this word and possess the land. So, she goes on right there. And watch what she said. But she answered and said to him, Yes, Lord, but even the dogs on the table feed on the what? Children's crumb. She said, Lord, can I just have a crumb of that bread off of the table? The table is considered a covenant. Can I get a crumb off the table, the covenant of the Lord, just to get that demon out of my daughter? Give me a crumb off that table. That's all she wanted. Jesus liked that kind of talk. And He said to her, Because you answer, because of this answer, this answer, go your way. The demon's gone out of your daughter. Is that good? Now, folks, do you know who this bread is for? This bread is not for people whose hearts are in covenant with Satan. Do you understand that? But see, she worshipped and she asked for mercy and grace. Give me a crumb of the children's bread to get this demon out of my daughter. Now, what did Jesus call the deliverance of the demon right here? The children's bread. We always thought that deliverance was for somebody else, because they can't get by with stained glass, right? You've got to think of somebody else. You've got to do something else if you're not dealing with it. The people of that day knew and recognized demons. You notice this woman didn't come to Jesus and say, Jesus, I just brought this, my daughter to you. I'd like to check her out, see if she's got one. No. Why did she say that? Everybody said, They brought a mercy. They've got demons. They've got demons. Everybody knew what demons was because the demons were not in hiding. The demons were not in hiding simply because until Jesus came, that kind of authority was not existing. And so when Jesus came, the powers of darkness had to go into hiding. And the greatest ministry to you is to make you think they do not exist. If they make you know that they don't exist, they come and go as they like. They keep you deceived that they don't exist. But now, today, if you want to see a manifestation in some of the churches, they won't manifest and expose themselves like you know they will when you start sometimes, preaching the Word and so forth like that. They won't manifest themselves because if they want to manifest themselves, they may not be a person in there and cast that thing out, but they'll find somebody that can. They come and cast that thing out and everybody starts reading their Bibles. And I'm telling you what, this thing, a demon behind every bush, intimidating, if you knew how bad this situation really was of the powers of darkness and what control they have over people and what control they've been having in your own family, you'd tremble. You would absolutely tremble. And then you'd start learning something about the judgment and the fear of God. I don't want you to turn with me to Matthew 12. Matthew 12. Now, folks, I want you to understand that everything I've been talking to you about these three days is good news. These things are good. Now, to our traditions, they're programmed by bad news. I'm telling these things are good news. When you understand these things, you have authority in them when you receive them. But if you're taught how to believe them, you won't walk in them. Now, let's look in verse 43. Twelve, verse 43. Now, when the demon, the unclean spirit goes out of a man. Now, I want you to mark man. I'm even going to find out this man right here is a house. Have I been calling this a house? You know the foundation I told you this has a foundation under it? We look the two men. All right, the demon goes out of a man. It passes through waterless places. That means dry places. That's dry places. And it's seeking rest and it does not find it. It loves to live in the house, kind of like you do. And it's looking for a place to where it can be a manifestation of Satan, looking for a house to move into. Then it says, you know what I'm going to do? It's being cast out. I'll return to what? Now, the man was his house. You see that? If you want to draw a line from it, you can. From which I came. I'm going to return to my house which I came. And when it comes, it finds it unoccupied. It finds it swept and put in order. And then it goes and it takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself. And they go in and live there. And the last day of that man becomes worse than the first. That's the way it also be with this evil generation. Now, folks, let me ask you something. Was the demon cast out of the man? And then it comes back and it found the house empty, didn't it? And it moved back in and took seven more, right? That seven more was a curse. The seven more was a curse because nothing was put in the house. What would you put in the house when the demon goes out? You put the Word and the Spirit of God. Now, let me ask you something. How can lost folks do that? No one's going to get deliverance except those coming to Jesus or just His sovereign mercy or grace that He just might do like that woman, Gentile woman. So you only put in there the Spirit and the Word. Now, let's turn this around and look at it. If Jesus would come along and He's setting them free outside the church, then they would automatically become seven times worse because people outside the family of God cannot put nothing there. So this demon, when a demon goes out, he just automatically becomes seven times worse. Are you seeing who the ministry of the demons is for? See, that's been perverted. We've been told it's the other way around. They need deliverance over in Africa. Demons wouldn't get around our kind of people. At least they're over across the tracks. So, turn to Galatians 3. Galatians 3. Now, I had mentioned that we are Abraham's offspring. I want you to just see it in a word. You're Abraham's son. You're Abraham's daughter. You are Abraham's seed. Do you understand that? If Jesus Christ is your Lord. Now, look with me there, please, in verse 26. 326. For you are all sons of God through what? Your faith in Jesus Christ. For all of you who have been baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Does that sound like people that belong to Jesus? Let's look in 29. And if you belong to Christ, then you're what? You're Abraham's offspring, heirs according to the prophet. You're Abraham's son or you're Abraham's daughter, you're Abraham's seed. Is that correct? Please turn with me to Luke 13, please. Luke 13. Luke 13. Well, now the Lord is teaching in the synagogue and it's on the Sabbath, isn't it? Is He the Lord of the Sabbath? That's all. Jesus is just the Lord of the Sabbath. Now, let's look in verse 11. And behold, there was a woman who for eighteen years had a what? A sickness that was caused by what? Back then they caused sicknesses, demons caused sickness. Didn't they? Have you ever seen all the different kind of demons? It's cast out, infirmities and so forth. There's a word if you notice that. Where do they all go when the demons all leave? Don't you know they're not blessings when they bring that to you? But this woman has a sickness and it's caused by a demon. Now, I've already mentioned this to you and you see it over and over. And she was bent double and could not straighten up at all. Now, can't you just see her? And you've seen absolutely one demon had this woman absolutely bent double. Now, that's torment. And I want you to know that's not good. Now, in verse 12. Now, there's something very interesting happening. Jesus, when Jesus, he saw her, he what? He called her over. Now, look at me. You've got to see this. Please look at me. And then we're going to go to the other. When he saw her, he, this woman, never says anything in his Bible. There's something about this woman that you need to know. Because Jesus saw her bent double. This woman's not supposed to be bent double. And Jesus said, come here now. She never opened her mouth. And so, then he called her over and then look what happened. And when Jesus saw her, he called her over and he said to her, Woman, you are healed, freed. You're freed from your sickness. Now, you never have a doctor tell you that, do you? So, you're freed from your sickness, does he? You see the difference in the spiritual and the out natural? Now, you know, we just don't use that terminology a whole lot. You just got freed from your sickness. You're freed. No, he called her over. And if you notice right there, 13, he laid his hands upon her. There he is again, laying hands. And it worked. He laid his hands upon her and immediately she was made erect again and began glorifying God. Now, look at me. Jesus goes into a synagogue. He sees a woman absolutely bent double. He calls her over. He lays hands on her. And she said, Woman, you're freed from this sickness. This demon right here has had you bent double for how many years? For 18 years, this thing had had her bent double. You're freed from it. And then immediately, can't you just see her? And all that torment for 18 years. And she, all of a sudden, she was made erect. And she said, Glory be to God forevermore. I want to ask you something. Is that good? Over here. Is that good? That's good. She got set free from that demon, isn't it? But it wasn't good to this synagogue team. And this church official was what? Indignant because Jesus had healed on the one. Well, you know what Jesus did? Look at me again. Let's just talk about it. Okay. We're going to look at all of it. What Jesus did, he broke a tradition. You know what? You know what this? This church official was saying in his heart, Now, Jesus, you leave these folks that's bent double and with demons in them alone. Now, you stop that. You're hurting our religion. Now, see, that's what happened. So, Jesus is trying to please them in 15. The Lord answers and said, You hypocrites. Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead him away to water him? And this woman of what? Of what? Oh, it's the daughter of Abraham. Hey, look at me. Well, let's look there first. He said it twice. As she is. Of course, you miss it that she's daughter of Abraham. He said it twice. As she is, daughter of Abraham. She didn't cut that. Now, do you see why he said, Come here, daughter of Abraham. That thing's not supposed to be in you. Huh? Glory. That's good. I tell you, we're getting free, aren't we? You know the truth of the truth of what? He'll stop and throw a fit. Now, Pharisees don't understand that. He'll throw in a fit over that. That's something to get tore up about. It's just God. And this woman, the daughter of Abraham is, As she is, whom who is bound for 18 years? Oh, Satan is bound for 18 years? Oh, I thought I read up there that a demon had her bound. And Satan has her bound. Right? Now, when I say that demons and Satan are synonymous. Are you seeing what I'm saying? When you're talking about one, you're talking about the other. When you see them first, meet her five. You know, particularly with reading the King James. All it says is devil, devil, devil, devil. And see in your mind, you just think. It prowls about like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. And you just see Satan. He might get my way some. The demons are right there all the time to get around in your life. But see, if a demon can use something to put a little label on you. About a demon behind every bush. You say, Lord, I can't deal with that. I can't deal with that part of the scripture. Because it's making my reputation and my ministry look bad. Because they say, I see what, you know, Paul had done that. If Paul can't just see Paul now. I've got to stop writing this Bible, God. It's making my image and ministry look bad. They're making me look bad by saying, I see a demon behind every bush. Okay. You know what I mean, don't you? All right. And this woman, the daughter of Abraham, as she is whom Satan has bound for 18 long hours. Should she not have been released from this bond on the Sabbath day, you hypocrites. Verse 17. And as he said this, all his opponents were being what? Hey, there's going to be a lot of humiliation ahead, folks. Their folly is going to be obvious to all. This is God. I mean, it's no longer going to be when a chain gang starts marching in, brother. We're getting free. So they were all humiliated, wasn't they? Turn to Luke 19. Luke 19, please. I'm telling you what's true. I've seen people hear a tambourine, they'd think he'd thrown a rattlesnake under them. You know, to be honest with you, I used to be about half that way. Oh, my. Well, praise the Lord. Boy, I wish we had another day we'd get Jesse to sing for us right now. He has some more good. Do you know what he does when we're fixing to eat or something like that? He'll start leading us to song. He can't help it. I mean, they just got to come. He's just full of this, kind of like the Spirit of God. He just has to sing. And he just goes, can we sing? So we just keep singing, don't we, Jesse? All right, in Luke 19, verse 5. And when Jesus... All right, let's start. I want to just tell you, this is Zacchaeus. He was a tax collector. He was rich. And he wanted to see Jesus. And he's real small. And he climbed up a sycamore tree so he could get a good look at Jesus as he's coming by. Okay? Now we start in verse 5. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, Zacchaeus, hurry and come down for today, I must stay at your house. I mean, and that's some kind of surprise for old Zacchaeus. So this little short man, he hurried and he came down and he received Jesus' letter. Now I'm telling you what, Jesus liked that. And when they saw it, they're always around, they began to grumble. They grumbled, saying, he's going to be the guest of a man who is a what? He's going to be the guest of a man who is a sinner. Now they're all around. Now look at me. I want you to know that everybody knew that Zacchaeus was a sinner. Everybody knew he was a sinner. But there's something happened to Zacchaeus. Oh, Zacchaeus immediately got saved. Look in verse 8. And Zacchaeus stopped and said to the Lord, Behold who? Oh, Jesus became his Lord. You know what happens when Jesus became your Lord? You get a new heart. Oh, I'm telling you what, everything changes about you. And look right there, here it comes. Half of my possessions I'll give to the poor. If I've defrauded anyone of anything, I'll give back four times as much. And boy, in case you're wondering where he got saved in verse 9. And Jesus said to him, Today, not yesterday or tomorrow, right now, today salvation has come to this house because he now became a what? After he belonged to Jesus. He became a son of Abraham. And when Miss Zacchaeus got saved, she became what? A daughter of Abraham, didn't she? Isn't that wonderful? Don't fight it. Verse 10. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Well, let's look in Hebrews 2 very quick. You know, I always wanted another verse. We could never look at James 5, 14 and 15 and never see healing in the Bible. So, you know, we have to have a lot more than that. So we'll have a little more of this. All right, who's the children? I can't hear you. Where are the children? All right, now what do the children do? They share the flesh and the blood. They're covenant, right? They share, and of course, they share in the bread, the children's bread. Now, in verse 14, Then the children, now that's the children, share in the what? Flesh and blood. Since the children share in the flesh of Himself, Jesus, likewise also partook of the same, and He took of the same, which means the covenant, that through death He might render powerless him who had power of death, that is the devil. In other words, He defeated the devil. We're going to find out who He defeated for Him in a minute. Looks like He defeated Him for the children, doesn't it? Amen. And that He might what? He's going to deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives, for surely He's not giving His help to angels, but He gives His help to who? Amen to the descendants of Abraham. Is that what you are? You want to receive it? Glory. Well, amen. Now, folks, I want you to know that there's some sin involved when demons get in your body. I mean, if it is plain old passivity, that's sin. You just let the devil run over you. And there is. So, let's don't act like it's just a gland problem or a social problem or a mental problem anymore. Let's have an understanding how to deal with it and get out from under the law and get this stuff off of us. Amen. In Acts, and part of you know it's a long term, I'm just going to quote about three scriptures to you. They were bringing to Jesus people who were sick, afflicted by demons, and they were all being healed. Now, you see how the two are tied together. Sick, demons, and they're tied together. You deal with them together. And Luke 4 is talking about Jesus rebuked the fever. And Peter's mother-in-law, you know that? He rebuked the fever with the fevers of personality. He rebuked it. He spoke to that. And this is what you have to do. You have to speak to the mouth. And in Acts 10, we know of Jesus at Nazareth, who, God anointed with the Holy Spirit and power, went about healing all those who are oppressed by the devil when they quit. He never did quit. He's still healing us who are oppressed by the devil. Now, I want you just to be aware of the demons that attacked different parts of the body. There are demons that specialize in just attacking for blindness. There are demons that specialize in just attacking for deafness. They're infirmity. And all of them do different jobs to attack different parts of the body. Now, whether you understand it or not, I can't help it. That is the way it is, and that's the way the Bible explains it. Now, there are demons that attack different parts of the personality. What Jesus has in the fruit of the Spirit, the demons have opposite. The spirit of the devil has opposite in the fruit of the devil. And that's why they come with the spirit of fear. You see the spirit of jealousy. And all these things, they specialize in those areas of life. Now, where that makes sense up here in the intellect, I can't help it. Right here is what the Bible is talking about. So, these attack different parts of your body. And I'm going to tell you, they get to attack through sin. So, isn't it real convenient that we ignore the devil and flee? And no sin can cause sickness. And that's something, just brush it all aside. Righteousness, holiness, discernment, overcoming the world, the flesh, demons, pervert salvation, pervert healing, pervert deliverance. I mean, you know, that's real convenient for the demons to just come to our heads. Huh? Kill us? Well, that day is over. So, we understand that the enemy, this enemy, has come to kill you and your children, destroy you, and steal, if they're content to leave, to divide your relationship. They're telling you one thing, they're telling you a part, it's suspicions. And what's happening to you when all of a sudden, somebody walks in front of you, you just want to kill them or something? Where is that thing? Where does all that come from? It's continually the suspicion happening where you work. It's happening where you live. It happens in your church. That's when they get through here, the demons are ignored, and the people walk out different doors. They don't even meet one another. They ought to stay home and read the sunny paper. They're worshiping in vain. They can't get nothing from God. They're puffed up in the flesh for being a little religious. They can't get nothing. All right? Sickness is an intrusion in your body. You're going to, unless you want to just be passive and hang in there. And just to mention some of the things, Amos 9, the Lord said, and you're going to see a lot of this, particularly this afternoon, I'm going to command the serpent, and they're going to bite you. And you're going to look at some of that biting that serpents do. You've already seen a little. In other words, the hay to hedge is down. Now, turn to me to Proverbs 7. Now, we're going to shift gears here and start looking at some new things in the Word. Proverbs 7. Proverbs 7. It's going to get good after lunch. Proverbs 7. All right, now, Proverbs 7, verse 1. My son, keep my, what? Word. And treasure my word, my commandments swear, within you. In other words, don't let it get stole from you. By affliction, persecution, cares of the world, pleasures of this life. Don't let those things get on you. You keep that Word within you. And keep my Word, and what? That's the way you're going to live. And my teaching, my Word is out of the eyes. See, it's saying the Word, the Word, the Word. He calls it teaching. He calls it commandment. And over and over, but this is what he's saying. Bind my Word on your fingers. Write my Word on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, you're my sister. Calls understanding your intimate friend. And what are these things going to do? They shall keep you from a what? Now, who's adulterous? That's someone, the harlots that are around that pretend obedience to God. Now, when you've got the Word, you can discern. And it's going to keep you away. You do not eat off the tree of knowledge of good and evil. You don't eat off that tree. You don't receive that job. Do you ever notice how somebody can load you up with a phone call of the morning? And I'm going to tell you what. I mean, it's just hell the rest of the day. Because the enemy will take those words that he spoke to them to load you up right there. And you just receive that stuff and eat that stuff and take it to your heart. And you've had it. Let me show you. Well, and this Word's going to keep you from the foreigner. That's a whorl. And that's an adulterer who flatters with a what? The whorl has flattering words to appeal to you. You know why we're close by? Turn back to Proverbs 2. I want to show you something while we're close by. This wasn't on our notes, but I want you to just see about it. Who is wisdom? Wisdom is the Lord Jesus Christ. He became our wisdom in 1 Corinthians. Now, I want you to see it. I want you to go back and read all of 1 and 2, but I'm just going to show you part of it right here. Let's start in verse 9. It says, Then, after you have done all these other things, you are going to discern what? Now, we need to learn how to discern righteousness, don't we? And justice, isn't that right? And equity in every good course. For wisdom is going to enter your heart. What does that mean? It's going to enter your heart. Now, if you have any problem with that, you go over to Proverbs 8, and you'll see clearly who wisdom is right there. It's Jesus. And knowledge, there's a Word that's going to be pleasant to you, what? The Word's going to be pleasant to your mind, will, and notions. Instead of having a war against your soul, your mind, will, and notions, you're going to have the Word that's going to be pleasant to it if you do the things before that, right? Let's go ahead. Now, when you get that wisdom in your heart, and you get that Word in you, which is, it's going to be pleasant to your soul, discretion will guard you, understanding is going to watch over you, and all of this is going to do one thing. It's going to do many things, but here's one of the things it's going to do. It's going to deliver you from, what's those two words? The way of evil. Now, the way of the evil is the flesh. From the who? The man who speaks perverse things. There's the flesh. From those who leave the paths of who? All right, now, there's your adulteress right there. She leaves the paths of uprightness to walk in ways of what? Now, this wisdom and Word in your heart is going to keep you from this adulteress if you let this Word, but the Word's not going to be in you if you're receiving persecution and got your mind on that. You've got your mind on affliction. You've got your mind on the cares of the world, the worries of this life, the pleasures of everything, deceitful riches. You're not going to have the Word in your heart. It's sold out. But to walk, when they leave for the path of uprightness, they walk in the ways of darkness. And it's going to keep you from their way, who delight in doing evil, that's adulterous, who rejoice in a perverse evil, it's going to protect you from them, whose paths are crooked. See, they don't walk straight. They're staggered and they're drunk. And who are devious in their ways, there's their schemes, that's a wolf, that's adulterous, to deliver you from the strange woman, that's the adulteress that I've been telling you all the time, from the who? Adulteress who flatters with her words. That is adulteress. It's got all these words. The words is not the Word. That leaves a companion of her youth, who is a companion to her of her youth that adulteress leaves? Jesus! And forgets the what? She forgets the covenant. Is this plain? She forgets the covenant of her God for her house. Look here. Here's her house. Look here. See, this is her house. Sinks down to what? Death and her tracks lead to the what? Dead. None who go to her babbling return again. Nor do they reach the path of what? You don't reach a path of life. You don't understand that word is getting pretty important all the time. So you will walk in the way of good men, and you are to keep the path of what? Right. So in other words, we're dying in the flesh to keep the path of receiving the Word and letting the Word stay in the heart. Amen? Now, let's turn back over there. This is what the Word does. It keeps you from adulteress and from the foreign. Now, let's see if these words kind of get to you. Here's what happens to you in verse 21. With her many persuasion, this is 721. Proverbs 721. With her many persuasion, this is the adulteress, the foreigner, the world. With her many persuasion, she what? Entices him. Who's behind enticing? With her flattering lips, she seduces him. Suddenly he follows her as an ox goes to slaughter, as one in fetters to the discipline of the fool, until an era. There they are. That's them. That is them right there. There is the era, the powers of darkness. Pierces through his what? Liver as a bird hastens to the snare, he does not know that it's going to what? He doesn't know it's going to cost him his life. He doesn't know it, that his sin is going to cost him his life there. And now, therefore, my sons... Now, I want you to look at me, folks. We're starting right down here. Don't let something build up up here, because I'm going to tell you, if you'll listen, this is just the beginning of it. Oh, they're just volumes after this right here, what we're saying. So if it has a new sound, guard your mind, guard your heart. If you're writing a book, stop and listen. Verse 24, he doesn't know it's going to cost him his life. Now, therefore, my sons, listen to me and pay attention to the words of my mouth. Now, you know what the opposite of paying attention to the words of the mouth of the Lord is 1 Timothy 4, where you pay attention to deceitful spirits up here, see? If you're not resisting them, you're listening to them. Now, do not let your, what? Heart turn aside to her ways. Now, that's the world and the adulteress. Do not stray into her path, for many of the victims she has cast down, and numerous are all her slain. Her house is the way to work. She'll hail descending to the chambers of death. Now, back up to Proverbs 5. Proverbs 5. Proverbs 5. I want you, I'm going to throw in, I'm just going to mention some things, come down. We haven't got all the time. Verse 1, my son, give attention to what? Wisdom, incline the ear to understanding. Well, now, see, this church that had a form of godliness, had never learned, never able to come to the truth. They don't have understanding. When you don't have understanding, you have a depraved mind. Is that right? That's what it said over in Romans 1. Now, let's look there. It said that you may observe discretion, that your lips may reserve knowledge, for the lips of an adulteress drip honey smoother than oil in her speech. You have to be careful of words. Be careful what you listen to. Is that what you're warned in the power of the Word? You be careful what you listen to. You don't have to be nice to somebody's flesh to receive death and poison. That's why we're told to expose the deeds of darkness, not hide from them. And we see the wormwood, the bitterness is there, and at 5, her steps lead to death, and down to Sheol, hell is what we've already run. She's unstable. Her last part of 6, her ways are unstable, and she does not know it. Look at me. Adulteress don't know that they're staggered. They don't know that they don't know the way. They think they're helping God out. She doesn't know it, that her way is unstable. Now, he says, verse 7, that's where we was going to. Now then, my sons, listen to me. Do not depart from the words of my mouth. You better not leave my word. You better not let your mind get on these other things, what somebody is saying about you. Don't never let your conversation or mind or heart get on what folks say. Get your mind and heart on what God's saying. It don't matter what folks are saying. It matters what God's saying. Now, I'll tell you what, the enemy has got you. If your heart starts going and you start listening to what folks get their approval, be sure you're doing what God says. Now, verse 8, keep your way far from her. Do not go near the door of what? Now, where's her house? Don't come around it. Don't listen. Don't even have a meal with them. Somebody like that. Lest you give your what? When you start listening to them, somebody's going to get you bigger. Wondering who that's going to be. Here they come. That's them. You just start receiving that junk from adulterous. Now, as you give your bigger to others and your years to the what? The demons work with the adulterous and your years go to the cruel one. Lest strangers, that's them, be filled with your what? You're going to be filled with your strength. They attack your body. They attack your mind. And your hard-earned goods goes to the house of an alien. There's a thief stealing from you. And you've grown your sickness at your latter end when your flesh and your body are consumed because of sickness, sin. That's how it gets there. And you say, here's what you're really saying in your heart. Here's what you've done. Now, I have hated instruction. Boy, I hadn't listened to the Word. My heart, my heart. Look here. Here's your heart right here. It might have been up here. But in your heart, you're spurned, reproved, disciplined. You wouldn't let the Lord lead you directly your way like a horse charging into battle your way. And I've not listened to the voice of my teachers, verse 13, nor inclined my ear to my instructors. I was almost in utter ruin, being destroyed right in the middle of the congregation. Is that clear? And that's exactly what's happening right now. May I tell you something? That's what's been happening to you. Right in the middle of the congregation. Now, I told you we're moving into a new thing. Now, I want to show you one example. Start showing you one example that someone is sick with sin in their life, and this person that's sick wouldn't repent. See, if you get some theology where you don't repent, then they get to stay there. That's what they pervert. So, by all means, attack somebody if they show you from the Word of God that sickness can get in your body through sin. Demons don't bring infirmity to your body because you're blessed. Now, turn to Psalm 32. The wise and intelligent never, never, never, never, never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever will sin. So what? That changed God. Why, here's a man that wouldn't confess his sin. He started out a little stiff-necked and stubborn, and then he changed his theology. Verse 3, When I kept silent about my sin, he wasn't confessing. My body just kept wasting away, didn't it? Through my groaning all day long. That groaning is what we saw over in Proverbs, there's a sickness, the cruel one. For day and night the hand was heavy upon me. The head just down, sickened, because he has a sin. My body was drained away as a fever heat of summer. Is that what, am I saying what the Lord is saying? Shake your head. And then he decided to change his heart. He decided to quit hanging in there no more. Watch what he did in 5. And then he what? He acknowledged his sin in the Lord, which means he repented. Were you right? Repented there? Of his what? He repented of what? Does the sin have anything to do with the sickness there? Now, if anybody ever hears I said that, some folks, and they don't know, they won't throw you off the cliff. I'm just reading the Bible here, Honor. Is that in your Bible too? He said, I acknowledge my sin to thee, and my iniquity, my sin I did not hide. I said, I'm going to confess my transgression to the Lord. I'm not hanging in there no more. And thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. Now, here comes a big one. Get your big pencil ready. Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to the Lord in a time when thou mayest be found, and here it is. Surely in a what? Well, there that thing is. A flood of great water. That's those words of the demons. They shall not reach him. Is that plain? Is that plain? Now, when he confessed his sin right there, and he got right, the flood of waters can't reach him, right? Now, there are my hiding place. That means a hiding place when you get in the presence of the Lord. If you don't get in the presence of the Lord, unless you confess and deal with that sin, exactly what you saw in James 4, 6-10, thou dost preserve me from trouble. That's walking in covenant, by the way. Thou dost surround me with songs of what? Deliverance. Glory. Turn over. He didn't get healed until he got repented, did he? When did that end? When did that stop? Turn to chapter 35. Chapter 35. Psalm 35. Let's look at verse 10. We're there real close. Let's just look at some things. Verse 10. All my bones will say, Lord, who is like thee who delivers the what? Deflected from him who is what? Too strong for him. That's them. And deflected and unneeded from him who what? Now, afflicted means that's sick. Unneeded from him who what? Robbed him. There's your thief. Now, you'll see it in a minute. Verse 16. Like godless jesters at a feast, they gnash at me with their teeth. Lord, how long is there going to look on? Rescue my soul. That's my mind, will, and emotions from their ravages. The war against my soul. My only life from the who? Who's that? That's them. That's exactly right. The war that represents my mind. Rescue my mind, will, and my emotions from these demons that's attacking my mind. All right. They're gnashing at me. They're godless jesters. And then he said, I'm going to keep it a big secret because I don't want anybody to know I had the only demon that got out of Africa. 18. No, he said, I'm going to give thee thanks in what? They're going to boast in the works of the Lord. Not going to hide them. I'll praise thee among the mighty's throne. Now, you see, when you've got to make a name for yourself, you've got a little pride. That's the reason you don't want to talk about, you know, you've got something to protect. The image you've got to protect. That's the reason you won't talk about the work of the Lord. Because you've got your ministry and your image and your pride to protect. Okay. Do not let those who are wrongfully my enemies rejoice over me. Don't let them. Neither let those who hate me. They hate you without a cause. Swink malicious. Now, here is another big scripture. And I want you to block it in where you can always come back to it. For they do not, they don't speak peace to your mind. But they devise what? All right. Now, they devise these deceitful words. These lying, deceitful words. That's what the pirates of darkness do. The demons do. They devise deceitful words against those who are what? Quiet in the land. That means if you are at peace, they come to bring, to disturb that peace. With deceitful words, lying words, guilt, condemnation, and many things like that. And they open their mouth wide against men. They said, Aha! Aha! Our eyes have seen it. You know, Luke, when Jesus cast the demons out of their life, if anybody has had any deal with them, you know, they laugh all the time. They all the time laugh. They are laughing as they are leaving, you know. But right there is the accuser. They are accusers. They open their mouth wide and their eyes have seen it. In other words, they are accusing him right there. Now, turn to chapter 38. 38 verse 1. O Lord, rebuke me not in thy want. What did I tell you? Fall at wrath and anger. The powers of darkness are turned loose. The hedge is down. O Lord, rebuke me not in a wrath. And what's those two words? Chasten me. Chasten me not in thy want. Now, the Lord uses the powers of darkness. They are the ones that come and whip on your head until you get lined up with the Word. Of course, if you are stiff-necked and stubborn like in Jeremiah, you never turn. You won't turn. A stiff-necked and stubborn person won't turn back to the Lord. Now, verse 2. For thine errors, that's them, circle at. That's his errors. Do you know why it's an error? Let me show you something. Look at me. What is a mouth shaped like? Have you ever noticed it's shaped like a bow? You shoot the arrows right out of your mouth, see. And that's why the Lord says, here it comes out of his mouth, sick them. See, it's already said in his Word, to curse him. That's why he says, sick them. They're not in the blessings. They don't want to go. Sick them. Amen? Okay. For thine errors have sunk deep into me. When you talk about the Lord's breath or his bow, that's what you're talking about. Okay? Thine errors have sunk deep into me, and thy hand has pressed down on me. There is no soundness in my flesh. Sound like it might be sick a little bit? Because of thine indignation. Now, get your big pencil ready. Here it comes. This is the way it used to be. There is no health in my body because of what? Do you think sin had anything to do with this man's sickness? It does all over the Bible. Where'd that come from? That these kind of things are not in the Bible. Sound like another gospel, doesn't it? Okay. See, because if you ever deal with sin, you stay sick. If nobody ever deals with sin, it prays for you. Nothing's going to happen to them anyway. It's the prayer of a righteous man that availeth not. Not the prayer of a devil. Okay. For my iniquities are gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they weigh too much for me. My wounds, that's his sickness there, grow foul and fester. Because of my what? Folly. Now, you want to do your word study on folly? That's what it said about that poor, harlot, depraved mind church in 2 Timothy 3 that had a form of godliness and denies the power of God. They even oppose the truth. It says their folly is going to be obvious all. This is what kind of things that God calls folly right here. To be sick. They grow foul. They just stay sick because of this folly. I'm bent over and greatly bowed down. I go mourning all day long. My loins are filled with burning. There's a fever. And there is no soundness in my flesh. Do you see that? Why is there a turn over 39? See, and it may just keep on and on and says it over and over and over and over. Here on over in New Testament. Amazing if you look really. See, but if you're already told something's not in the Word. Listen to me. If you're already told it's not there and you eat those words, you take it to heart. Then you can't see it. It becomes a stronghold. See, it's not only saying it over here in Psalms. It says it on over in New Testament. That's where we're supposed to be living. All right, 39, verse 10. Remove thy plague, sound like sickness, from me because of the opposition of thy hand I am what? I'm perishing. With reproofs thou dost what? Chasing a man for what? See the sin he's being chasen for and he's got the plague on him. Is that right? Thou dost consume a man as a what? Didn't I tell you that's the way the powers of darkness. They move on and just eat away like a moth. Just slow destruction. It's just slowly destroying you like rottenness. That thou dost consume with a moth, sickle, that's the arrow, which is precious to him. Surely every man is a mere breath. Right? Let's jump over in 41. 41. Chapter 41. Now let's begin reading verse 2. The Lord will protect him. Does it say the same thing over and over and over? When God changed, sin changed. The devil changed. Sickness changed. Covenant. Covenant with God's covenant. The Lord will protect him and what? Keep him alive. He shall be what? He's going to be blessed among the earth. And do not give him over to the desire of his enemy. They have a desire to destroy you and kill you and steal from you. The Lord will sustain him upon his what? Sickbed in his illness, that sickness. Thou dost restore him to what? Health. As for me, I said, O Lord, be gracious to me. Heal my soul, for I have what? Now see, the mind, will, and emotions kind of gets involved right there too. And then you get off the sickbed. We're in Jeremiah 6, verse 5. Now look at me just a minute. Let me just explain one thing. Babylon has been being rebuilt. You know, Babylon come down. Now Babylon's being rebuilt today. Babylon is the whore harlot church. And the reference is made to this church. She is called a palace. Her palace. Her palace. Say palace. Her palace is where Nebuchadnezzar is king, Satan. The synagogue of Satan. And let's see what happens in this synagogue. Arise, verse 5. And let us attack by what? Now the powers of darkness attack during the time of darkness. And destroy her what? Palaces. For thus says the Lord of hosts. Who is he? The king of glory. He's the Lord of hosts, isn't he? Well, amen. That's the Lord. Cut down her trees. And that's palace. Cut down her trees. Cast up a siege against Jerusalem. The church. This is a city to be punished. And whose midst? There's only what? See, no peace there. He's not walking in words. It's just oppression. As a well keeps its waters fresh, so she keeps fresh her wickedness. Violence and destruction. Now violence is a manifestation of demons. Destruction is a sickness. Our hurt in her sickness and wounds are ever before me. That doesn't sound quite like the Lord just jumping up and down about sickness, does it? I just don't much believe he is. He said sickness and wound and oppression. So he sent the tree cutters in there. Just, you know, they don't deal with that. Just cut them down. Cut them down. Been waiting. I've been removing stones. I've been putting fertilizer on. And I've been waiting for them to bear fruit. And they're not bearing fruit. I'm telling you the hedge is gone. Go in there and cut the place down. Just let them count each other for a while. Until they repent. This concludes tape number 13. Please fast forward this tape to return it to the beginning.
