Phil Beach Jr. challenges the congregation to reflect on their true following of Jesus, emphasizing that self-deception can cloud our understanding of our spiritual state. He urges believers to seek God's Word for truth rather than relying on feelings, highlighting that true followers will hear Jesus' voice and obey His commands. The sermon stresses the importance of intimacy with Christ, honesty in our relationship with Him, and the necessity of surrendering our rights to follow Him fully. Beach warns against the dangers of modern Christianity that prioritizes comfort and pleasure over genuine discipleship. Ultimately, he calls for a passionate longing for God that leads to a transformative relationship with Jesus.
Sermon Transcription
Be to that my dear brother Harry is here. Come here. Give me a give me a hug Harry. I won't embarrass you Praise the Lord Are you hungry for Jesus this morning now? Amen, listen You remember that for the past six or seven weeks I Preached a series on the dangers of self-deception and And if you remember right at the beginning of the series I asked how many here Believe that you're self-deceived and very few I don't think anyone really raised their hand because that's not something we would normally think we might think someone else's Self-deceived, but we don't think we're self-deceived however when we took the decision Away from our subjective feeling what we feel and we went to God's Word Six weeks later how many now feel that there are areas of self-deception that God revealed to you Almost every hand goes up. Why? because When we go to God's Word and let God's Word judge us rather than Go by what we feel We discover that God is faithful to reveal the truth So now I want to ask another question, which is the title of this current series that we're going to be looking into together and Probably now because of experience. We're not going to be too quick to answer this question Here's the question Are we really following Jesus are we following Jesus? Now the knee-jerk reaction is of course we're following him Well, how do you know because I just feel like I am I Just feel like I'm following him. Well One of the effects of the Holy Spirit in our life Is he brings us? to the word and then the word instructs us and so I Want to leave this question into your mind. It's a rhetorical question be asking yourself this question as We walk together through this particular topic Did did this might just go Okay Ask yourself this question Make it personal now because I wanted to make it are we following Jesus, but now I want you to ask yourself Lord am I following you now remember by way of introduction the question was not Am I a Christian That's not what the question was The question is not Do you believe in? the fundamentals of Bible doctrine that wasn't the question Thirdly the question was do you engage in good Christian service? That wasn't the question the question is Am I following Jesus if you are following Jesus You will hear his voice Turn with me to John chapter 10 John chapter 10 and we're just gonna look at some of the words of Jesus and We're gonna lay a foundation. We're laying a foundation in order to take a journey Listen we want to take a journey together in the Word of God But before we take a journey together, we all have to understand the passion of Jesus listen John chapter 10 Beginning in verse 1 truly truly I say unto you He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold But climbs up some other way the same as a thief and a robber But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep now listen to him the porter or the gatekeeper opens and the sheep hear his voice and He calls his own by name and leads them out And when he put it forth his own sheep he goes before them and the sheep Listen the sheep Follow who? They follow him they follow the shepherd and a stranger will they not Follow the call of the Holy Spirit in Your life and in my life and in the life of all those Who trust in Jesus Christ is? the call to hear His voice and to follow Him we live in a day, and we live in an hour where we're substituting all manner of things For The most important call and that is to hear his voice and to follow him Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone But by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God his sheep hear his voice and another They will not follow And so the question we asked earlier is are you following Jesus? Are you hearing his voice? We cannot follow him unless we hear his voice and we hear his voice as we open up his word and let him speak to us We live in a day when there's much danger There are those Who are seeking to be led by God through the Holy Spirit and through subjective means There is a place for that but I see a danger and a warning light flashing from heaven because oftentimes this kind of following Jesus is not bringing such people into a knowledge of God's Word and in obedience to God's Word Then the other side of the pendulum is that there is intense Longing and study in the word, but it's the letter. There's no life There's no impartation of grace, there's no impartation of Jesus and so what we want to do by the grace of God is strike the balance between knowing the Holy Spirit and knowing the movement of the Holy Spirit and Being able to recognize that when the Holy Spirit is speaking to us and leading us He is leading us to Jesus and he's revealing Jesus in his word And our life is therefore Transformed as a result of such a leading today. We are ensnared By the belief that to be led by Jesus means that we must always be happy To be led by Jesus means we must always have a good time To be led by Jesus means that we must always have worldly security to be led by Jesus means that we Surround ourself in a comfort zone but brothers and sisters We're going to look into God's Word over the next several weeks and we're going to discover exactly what Jesus said in Relation to following him Jesus made it very clear What would happen in the lives of those who follow him? You see it's not really left up to my individual taste There is a great need in The church today to stop building our relationship with God on experience But build it on Every word that proceeds from the mouth of God by the Holy Spirit's life that comes to us We must come back to the Word of God and pray Oh God Oh God help me live by your word Help me obey your word help help me Lord by the power of your grace to see Your word being lived in my life We mustn't be content to simply profess Christ But we must pray Oh God make the living Christ so real in my life So as to cause me to obey His word to demonstrate the beauties of Jesus Christ Jesus is longing For us To know him and follow him and See in us listen the fulfillment of his word Being demonstrated through our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit Are we Following Jesus There's only one standard That we can use to determine whether we're following Jesus Not many this is where the danger is today. There's one standard if I'm following Jesus Jesus himself said I will obey his words We must come back to the fixed standard of God's Word and understand that the purpose of the Holy Spirit in our life the purpose of the gift of salvation the purpose of being filled continuously with the Holy Spirit is To empower us and transform us not so that we can just do our own thing Not so that we can just talk about Experiences and visions and dreams and have Christian Liberty the purpose the ultimate intention is that through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit God's Word Will be fulfilled in a company of people The words of Jesus will be fulfilled in a company of people who live by the power of the Indwelling Christ as a result of the new birth Let me ask you a question is it your passionate desire this morning to love Jesus most of us May say yes, but do you understand loving Jesus as synonymous with obeying his word? You see we have to we have to get away from the cultural definition of love because nowadays to love Someone doesn't mean you're necessarily committed to him. Can you imagine? Tomorrow morning, I wake up and I say to my wife sweetheart This morning. I don't feel led To be committed to you today. I don't feel led to love you After all we have to go by what feels good. I just don't feel led today To lay my life down for you Brothers and sisters beware of such a spirit My commitment to my wife isn't based on how I feel It's based on truth. And that's what our walk with Jesus is based on truth Now We're going to take one step at a time We've laid the foundation. Are you following Jesus? To follow Jesus means we hear his voice We hear his word and he leads us to his word and his word leads us to him and by the power of the Holy Spirit were enabled to hear his word long for his word long to obey his word and To do his word Philippians chapter 2 for it is God that works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure Let's turn our Bibles to Micah chapter 2 and let's begin to look at the question Are we following Jesus as you're turning to Micah chapter 2? I'm going to read a short statement from Someone who I believe Was a true prophet of God years ago his name. Dr. A. W. Tozer Almost every day of my life. I am praying that a jubilant Longing for God might come back on the evangelical churches We don't need to have our doctrines straightened out. We are as Orthodox as the Pharisees of old But this longing for God that brings spiritual torrents and whirlwinds of seeking and self-denial This is almost gone from our midst God loves to be longed for He loves to be sought For he sought us himself with such longing in love. He died for desire of us Marvelous thought and he longs for us now to be with him above. I Believe that God wants us to long for him with the longing that will become love sickness That will become a word to our spirits To keep us always finding and always seeking always having and always desiring So the earth becomes less valuable and heaven gets closer as we move into God and up into Christ Dare, we bow our hearts now and pray father I've been an irresponsible childish kind of Christian More concerned with being happy than with being holy. Oh God give me three wounds Wound me with a sense of my own sinfulness wound me with compassion for the world and Wound me with love for thee that will keep me always pursuing and always Exploring and always seeking and always finding you. Oh God If you dare to pray that prayer sincerely and mean it before God It could mean a turning point in your life. It could mean a door of victory opened to you May God grant that to us Beloved That I believe cry that I believe is the heart cry of God for the hour that we live in now God is longing to rekindle passion in our heart and passion in our heart will be evidenced not by Emotion and not by Christian activity and not by all manner of things that we feel Indicate that we're serving and following Jesus but passion for Jesus Christ will be evidenced by a life that is conquered by grace and Overcome by the Holy Spirit and and brought down to our knees so that we cry out and say Lord Jesus I give up my rights. I give up my life. I give up my will I give everything up to you I seek to obey you I seek to be led by your word Lord I want to be a slave The word slave is repugnant to the modern Christian today because the word slave suggests no rights You see and I don't want to get ahead of myself, but One of the things that Jesus said will happen to those who follow him not those who become Christians and get involved in modern Christianity because modern Christianity for the most part is apostate and It's a religion. It's become an outward religion It's become a religion that that focuses on outward things modern Christianity today is promising the Christian everything but death Promising them everything But what Jesus said One of the things that Jesus said will be required of those who hear his voice not the voice of men Not the voice of church tradition and The doctrines of men, but hear the voice of the Shepherd. He said you'll lose your rights You'll lose your rights if you follow the Shepherd You won't demand your way You won't walk around With a chip on your shoulder following Jesus now, you might do it as a Christian a Lukewarm Christian But when you follow Jesus and The Holy Spirit takes you into intimacy with Christ in his word He will demand of you to give up your rights He'll demand of you to give up that that tenacity to want things your way to want to govern your life the way you want He'll take that control right out of you being a slave Love slave Now the church is a slave To pleasure a slave to good feelings a slave To making sure everybody's happy a slave to the approval of people a Slave To wanting to look good in the eyes of men. I Was listening to dr. Billy Graham last night They have Billy Graham classics now on a particular channel, and it's Billy Graham preaching 35 years ago and he brought such a message from God's heart and He said that the generation and look this was 1964 You would have thought he preached it last night he said that the generation that he was living in was Addicted to wanting things now and not wanting to go God's way and he shared and cried from the pulpit Indicating that the church now listen 1964 he said the church has gone pleasure crazy 1964 pleasure crazy What are we now? And he reminded the audience of some 50,000 people that the call of Jesus Christ Was not to seek pleasure but to find pleasure in him what is the scripture say in Psalms in Thy presence there is fullness of joy and pleasures evermore When you touch the pleasure the pleasures plural of Intimacy with Christ and fellowship with him in his word the pleasures of this life and the cares of this life Lose their power they lose their they loot they lose their spell Micah chapter 2 Father give us ears to hear I pray your word today Give us ears to hear Lord as we are being challenged by your Holy Spirit in your word To consider the claims of Christ and the call of Christ Follow thou me Deliver us Lord from this stale Sterile Christianity that we have fallen prey to That is condemned of God And help us to come into a vibrant living intimate Daily relationship with you where we are following you daily We're hearing your word. We're being transformed. Yes, we're struggling Yes, we are having difficulties, but our heart Lord is looking to you. Help us to hear your word this morning I pray in Jesus name Micah chapter 2 one verse number 10 arise ye and depart For this is not your rest Because it is polluted it shall destroy you even with a sore destruction listen carefully beloved listen carefully when we hear the voice of our shepherd and we begin to experience the Illumination of the Holy Spirit in our hearts enabling us to read God's Word and we begin to hear God's voice We begin to hear Christ speak to us One of the things that he will say to you if you go on this journey with him You will hear the Savior say arise ye and depart for this is Not your rest the word rest there comes from a word which means quietness a settled spot an abiding place or a home a place of peace a Place to lie one's head down in order to find rest and security When we hear the voice of our shepherd and we begin to follow him he will begin to require that we arise and depart from Everything that we are currently seeking to find rest in But it's false rest. It's false. Peace. It's false security People today are trying to find rest in their bank account They're trying to find rest in their security their material security. They're trying to find rest in their job They're trying to find rest and security in being accepted by other people When we follow Jesus, we will hear him say depart for this is not your rest and Then we will hear him Speak to us in Matthew chapter 11, which is one of my favorite scriptures Verse number 28 Come unto me All ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest Take my yoke upon you and learn of me Learn of me you see Jesus is Longing that those who are called by his name will hear his voice Depart from all the things that we're seeking refuge and rest in come to him find peace and then learn of him Do you know what it means to learn of him that means to become a what? disciple a pupil a Student there is no greater call in the church today than for God to call his children to become pupils and students and disciples Sitting at the feet of Jesus The Lord rebuking you and you saying yes Lord, I'm sorry the Lord commanding you and you saying well Thank you father, but it's because of your grace. Anyway, are you longing to have intimacy with the Lord? Are you a disciple? Have you heard the voice of the Savior say come and follow me and learn of me? This is why Jesus came to die. Listen, I've said it over and over again and will continue to say it Jesus did not come to establish a Christian religion He did not come to establish a religion called Christianity he came to Rescue a people out of darkness into his marvelous light fill him with his Holy Spirit and then say follow vow me and Obey my word period follow me and Obey my word so number one the first evidence That we have from God's Word that we're following Jesus is God is Making us uncomfortable About everything that we are seeking to find rest in that is false rest and false peace and If we're not experiencing the dealing of God along these lines in our life We are not following Jesus Well, that's your opinion Phil. You shouldn't say that see that's where we go wrong Say we we Lift ourself above the Word of God and and we make what we do is we basically make our Christian life the way we want How we feel it's all subjective Just as I shared a few weeks ago we heard of a lady who was living in blatant fornication or adultery and one of her Christian friends confronted her and she said she was going to another church and she said I'm sorry our church doesn't judge We're all sinners and this happens to be my besetting sin, it's how I feel You know what feels good to me Brothers and sisters that is 11 that will destroy an entire generation of believers if we let that into our homes if we let our Children believe that it's all about how I feel Whatever feels good brothers and sisters we must weep before God and pray that God will restore back to us a genuine encounter with the Holy Spirit which will result in a passion for God's Word and a love for God's Word and a desire to obey God's Word number two We're probably not going to get past this one John chapter 21 Remember the question beloved are you? following Jesus John chapter 21 if We are following Jesus We're going to hear the words of Christ Speak these things to us beginning in verse 15 So when they had dined Jesus had called the disciples off the ship and he had said come and dine with me Come and dine that's in verse number 12 of John chapter 21 come and dine come and fellowship with me and then next in verse 15 So when they had dined Jesus said to Simon Simon son of Jonas Lovest thou me more than these D asked Peter three times whether or not he loved him and Each time Peter said Lord, you know that I love you Number one if We hear the call of Jesus to follow him number one. We will fellowship with him Come and dine We will commune with him Number two 15 through 17 We will have to be honest with Jesus You know as we've preached it before When Jesus asked Peter, do you love me? He asked him. Do you? Agape me. Do you love me with? Self-sacrificing love the kind of love that lays its life down and what is Peter respond? Lord, you know, I fill a oh You see Jesus Asked him. Do you love me with self-sacrificing love and Peter said Lord, you know, I Like you But I've been found out I denied you three times Lord See it was this Peter who boasted What was it that he said Oh Lord though all men forsake you I'll lay my life down for you See Peter didn't know Himself. He didn't know that his ability to serve Christ Was not in his power but in his weakness Peter had to become weak Peter had Peter had to be brought down low low low and that's what this Conversation is all about. Jesus is saying so Peter Do you love me But what Peter said was good Peter's Peter was really saying no Lord. I don't love you. I don't like you Because my actions proved that When the test came I failed you But what did Jesus do? Did he say? Okay, get out of here. He said no feed my sheep and Then the second time lovest thou me Peter said Lord, you know all things I only fill a oh you and then the third time guess what Jesus did he changed the word and Instead of saying Peter, do you agape me which is the highest form of love? He said Peter Fill a oh me So Peter you only like me, huh? The man who said I lay my life down for you has come to realize that he he didn't lay his life down He cursed you cursed me. Is that is that the true condition of your heart? Peter was grieved the scripture says and he says Lord, you know, I Fill a oh you Jesus said feed my sheep Peter if we hear the call of Jesus we will commune with him and We will become honest with him Doesn't that remind you of the encounter that Jacob had? At the brook Jabba carry where he said bless me and God said I'm not gonna bless you until you tell me your name Jacob had to tell God his name before he was blessed What was what's the lesson there? There's many lessons, but one of the lessons is this Jacob couldn't be blessed. He couldn't be changed to Israel until he was willing to say my name is Jacob My name is a deceiver. My name is a supplant er. I'm a con artist I'm a sneak. I'm a snake. I'm a crooked person but it was in becoming honest with God and honest with himself That God was able to bless him and change him. Are you living in honesty before God? every follower of Jesus will know the joy of come and dine with me and know the sorrow and tears of So you're not what you thought you were, huh? and every believer and every follower of Jesus must have an eyeball to eyeball contact with Jesus Christ in his word and Come to grips with the fact that you're not what you profess to be You're not as spiritual as you want people to think you are You're not as holy as you think you are in fact, you and I apart from the grace of God are nothing but traitors and betrayers of Christ and We must stop putting on a religious front Grace comes to those who say have mercy on me a sinner Grace doesn't come to those who stand in the temple and say Oh God. I thank you That I'm not like others. I Pray I fast I read my Bible I go to church. I tithe 20% Grace comes to the Peters and the Jeremiah's in the Isaiah's Who can't even make it to the temple of God because the glory is too bright They fall down before they get there and they cry out. Oh God have mercy upon me as sinner. I'm not What I want to be. I'm not what I pretend to be. I'm not what people think I am But you are a God of mercy And a God of intimacy Have mercy upon me Remember the question are you following Jesus? This will happen in your life If you follow him Thirdly Not only will you be called to dine and it's fun to fellowship with Jesus, isn't it? Don't you love communion with him? But after communion He demands honesty and then after honesty and this is what I was mentioning before he talks to you about slavery Verse 18 verily verily I say unto you Just a few words that Jesus speaks and it just blows me away. Just puts me on my knees for weeks. I Want to hear his voice? Listen to what Jesus said now verily verily I say unto you when you were young You girded yourself and Walked where you would But when you shall be old You shall stretch forth your hands and another shall gird you and carry you where you would not to follow Jesus Not only means that we are called to dine with him not only means that we are called to be blatantly and Horribly honest with him and with others, but we are thirdly called to slavery Slavery in that Christ becomes our master We lose our rights to do what we want To go where we want listen closely and to clothe ourselves with what we want You see Jesus was here talking as an eternal Christ He wasn't talking so much about putting the clothes on He was talking about what you want to clothe yourself with Peter when you were at the Last Supper with me And you made that boast and said though all men forsake you I will lay my life down for you You wanted to clothe yourself in garments of boasting you wanted to make yourself Look in the eyes of others like you were some super spiritual Christian What do you want to be clothed with? I'll tell you what we want to be clothed with until God deals with us. We want to be esteemed by men We want it. We don't we want honor. We want recognition We want people to cater to us we get mad we get peeved off when someone doesn't do things the way we want We want we want 24-7 our clothing to be dignity and honor and comfort and Jesus said to Peter Peter When you were young when you were immature When you were governed by the one who denied me You did what you want? You clothed yourself with what you want you argued with your brothers When we were walking the streets of Galilee and you were arguing who was gonna be the greatest among you You were arguing who was gonna sit on my right hand and who was gonna sit on my left hand You wanted me to call fire down from heaven and destroy the Samaritans You wanted to look good in the eyes of men give up your rights and I Christ I your shepherd will lead you in a place where you would not choose a place of shame a place of humility a Place where I will take your dignity from you and I'll take your honor from you That is the honor and dignity that comes from men and I'll make you the off scourging of the earth Paul said God has set forth us apostles as last the off scourging of the earth a mockery to men a spectacle to angels Prisoners and as Paul spoke those words in 1st Corinthians He at that time Verse number 9 chapter 4 God has set forth us the Apostles last When you were young you wanted to be first you wanted to clothe yourself with honor But God says I'm gonna make you last I'm gonna make you a spectacle unto the world to angels and to men Modern apostate Christianity is preaching a message promising God's people Honor and glory and prestige the world will love you But Jesus said the world will hate you What gospel will you believe? What Christ will you believe in what spirit will you receive? Paul was so concerned about the Corinthians that he said you you've received another spirit You've believed another gospel and you're trusting in another Jesus We are fools for Christ's sake but you are wise in Christ He's being divinely sarcastic is what he's doing You're wise in Christ You sit and reign as kings I would to God that you were reigning Paul saying Paul is saying you have no idea Corinthians what it means to reign in Christ. You have no idea what it means to truly walk with Christ But I still love you. I begotten you in the gospel. I'm with you to the end, but wake up wake up He said wake up Be alerted be alarmed We are weak, but you are strong We want to clothe ourself with strength But God says if you follow me, I'll clothe you in weakness You are honorable we are despised for under this present hour we both hunger and Thirst and are naked and are buffeted and have no certain dwelling place We labor we work with our hands. We're reviled. We're persecuted we suffer We're defamed We're made the filth of the world the off Scourging of all things unto this day. Are we following Jesus? I Sometimes wonder oh We're good Christians, aren't we? Oh, we tend church regularly, don't we but are we following Jesus? Thank you Lord. You love us, but we need to hear the truth Lord We need to hear the truth But when you're old you'll stretch forth your hands give up your rights and another shall gird thee And carry you where you would not Fellowship we are called to when we hear his voice Honesty when we hear his voice Slavery we lose our rights when we hear his voice and lastly we hear a call and It's a rebuke I Know this isn't going to fill the 10,000 seat building But these are the words of Jesus and if anyone will follow him God will bring them through the path. Remember we're going on a journey. It's a journey through God's Word Jesus is still speaking through his word Here's the last call we'll hear in this section of the message and then we'll wait until next time to go to the next Section in another place where Jesus spoke and told us what it would be like, but here's the last call number four We will hear a call to stop being a busybody Do you know what will hinder you from following Jesus Well, Lord, what about Norman What about Matt's Lord I Think I hear you, but what about Meg? Well, what are you saying to carry Lord is carry doing this? Let's read the words of Jesus and see how he responds to so many loves But someone that he has determined would become one of his soldiers One of his apostles one of his sent ones one of his martyrs. Oh God would it be that God would bless one of us to be called a martyr Counted worthy to die for the name of Jesus Verse 19 this spoke he signifying by what death he should glorify God Ultimately Peter was going to be hung on a cross and crucified upside down Say he was going to die That's slavery losing your rights being willing to die for the master and then then Peter turning about there's there's the problem Right there carry Jesus speaks to us. And what do we do? We turn about See Jesus is trying to speak to you, but you know what the problem is with your heart in my heart We're too busy looking around turning about Wondering what that church is doing right Harry wondering what that preachers doing wondering what that pastors doing I'll tell you Peter instead of turning about should have fell down on his knees and said Lord help me And I'm not condemning him because I'm the one that turns about more than anyone But you know when Jesus speaks it's not a good idea to turn about it's a good idea to fall down when he speaks Yes, Lord, yes Lord thy servant. Remember what Samuel said? Yes Lord. Thy servant is hearing speak Lord Be what about the what about the words of Mary be it unto thy servant according to thy word, but what does Peter do? Turning about sees the disciples the disciple whom Jesus loved Following Peter seeing him said to Jesus Lord What shall this man do and Jesus said to him if I will that he tarry till I come What to thee? What to thee Follow thou me When you hear the words to follow Jesus, he will rebuke you When you start trying to follow him and looking at others at the same time When you have heard his word and He deals with you husband about that pride in your life and that arrogance or the way you talk to your wife and You look at the other one and say well Lord They're blessed and he doesn't seem to really talk real nice to his wife You're gonna get a rebuke from Jesus and you're gonna hear him say what is it to you about that fella fella I'm telling you follow me We are ensnared today By looking everywhere But his word, what is he saying to you? Don't worry about what others are doing Follow him in his word and he'll bless You as We prepare to close listen closely number one Jesus Will reveal to you all the areas that you are looking to find rest and He'll show you depart Find rest in me alone. That's what Jesus will say Listen Every relationship in the body of Christ every marital relationship Has to go through the dealings of God where we cannot find our ultimate rest and security in one another If we do God will shake it until our hearts are turned to him alone we must realize Jesus alone is our place of rest and Next time we get together, we're gonna hear the words of Jesus foxes have holes Birds have nests but what? the Son of Man has nowhere to What do you think Jesus was saying there That was in response to someone saying Lord I want to follow you and you know what Jesus was saying if you follow me You've got to give up every single place that you are currently finding rest and find it in me alone Find it in obeying me If I call you to do something That makes you uncomfortable You can't lay your head down and find rest somewhere you have to find it in me But we won't go into that now To part from false rest a call to fellowship a call to honesty a call to slavery and a call to stop being a busybody Let's just bow our hearts for a few moments Father thank you for your word Thank you for your Holy Spirit And thank you for speaking to us today Lord we realize That we all have strayed and like sheep Have gone astray But you are the Great Shepherd now, and you're gathering us back to you And we would ask this morning That you would open up the ears of our heart and enable us to hear You say to us through your word follow Me put off your fronts Put off your outward forms follow me and let me walk you through these different dealings Spend a few moments in quietness before God
