Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the speaker emphasizes the importance of choosing a different path from the worldly pursuits that everyone else is running after. He encourages the audience to continue in what they have learned and have become convinced of, especially the teachings of the holy scriptures. The speaker uses the phrase "but as for you" to contrast the audience's choice with the direction the world is going. He also shares a humorous anecdote about a minister's sermon on temperance and concludes by highlighting the significance of living an authentic and godly life as a means of transformation for others.

Good afternoon, good evening, good morning. It all works. It's so good to be here. I'm usually not the one to read jokes, but I got one. Even if you heard it, please laugh with me. A minister, that means pastor, was completing a sermon on drinking, on temperance. With great emphasis he said, If I had all the beer in the world, I would take it and pour it into the river. With even greater emphasis he said, And if I had all the wine in the world, I would take it and pour it into the river. And then, finally, shaking his feet in the air, he said, If I had all the whiskey in the world, I would take it and pour it into the river. Sermon complete, he sat down. The song leader stood up cautiously and announced with a smile, nearly laughing, For our closing song, let us sing hymn number 365, Shall we gather at the river. I think it happened in England, maybe. Now, I began my journey serving God at the age of 17. That was in 1966, just before completing the age of 17. So that's before you were born. So that makes me somebody who is an authority to speak to you. You better listen. I tell my staff, if I get an invitation to speak to a group of young people, University or college students, or whatever, I would give that invitation top priority. Because I'm a firm believer in this, that the hope of the future, It's the young people. Young people that are on fire for God. It was in 1966, this young man named George Verver, Is a skinny American, born in New Jersey. That as he was a high school student, came to Christ, Through Dr. Billy Graham's message that he heard. Then he abandoned his life, absolute all out commitment to Christ's Lordship. Which took him to sell out everything and go to Mexico, To work on the streets and preach the gospel. And then he gathered young people, as he was studying at Moody, Go to Europe and all over the world. Today they are in 80 plus nations around the world, Some 4,000 young people. And in 1966, this George, this young man came to India, To my community and challenged the young people there, To commit their life to go to North India to serve God. I couldn't help, but was deeply moved by his passion and his enthusiasm. And I don't remember all the stuff he said, But one thing I couldn't forget, the tears and the desperation. And the journey he made as a young person, I mean he must have been, oh dear me, maybe 22, 23 or 24 at that time, Something like that. And today, in the Indian subcontinent alone, There must be over 100 mission organizations that came out of The young people that served with Operation Mobilization. I happened to be one of those young kids. Now, I don't know where you are. I mean America is a very strange place also, You know, western countries where, Although we have so much information and possibilities, Yet young people are told they can't do anything. They have to grow up. They need to know all the theology and memorize Greek and Hebrew and philosophy, And be smart. Just memorize Jesus, that's all you need. Fall in love with him. And you can be one of those people that can turn the world upside down. And so, most of you sitting here, I understand you are leading young people, right? Young youth pastors, youth leaders, men and women. So, you represent lots and lots of people, thousands of young people. And by the way, my colleague John and I, we were talking about it, Maybe the possibility, which we've been doing it already, Open up for young people from the age of 16 and on up, To go with us for 2-3 weeks overseas to Nepal, to India, and Bangladesh, And if they behave alright, we'll bring them back, Or steal their passport and throw them away. But it'll be life changing. We have taken several hundred young people, And I can tell you they are never the same again. So, it's an opportunity, you can go to our website and talk to our people. We are in Dallas, Texas, that's our home office. You understand my English? Shake your head, do something. I'll be terrible not to get you understand this. But here is what I want to tell you. If you think learning all the... For me, I was making all the noise for this. Well, thank you, live long. If you think learning the techniques about how to run a youth group, How to have all the effective methods to work it out, So you'll have the most organized, systematized, wonderful youth group in your church or community, And learn all the messages and illustrations and all the new things, It will help, but I can assure you, in the long run, that is not going to work. Life begets life. You cannot take anyone deeper than where you've been. Psalm 42 verse 7 says, Deep calls unto deep. So as a responsible person, as a youth leader or an elder, May I ask you to think primarily about your life, your commitment, your godliness, your transparency, Your passion for Christ and your priority in life. Even if you say nothing to those young kids looking at you, Something will happen to them. Some years from now they will say, I can't remember anything he said, but I can tell you something. I wanted to be like him. And they even don't know what happened. It is the authenticity and godliness of your life That became the reason for transformation for others. That's what happened to me. And today, I can say, Tens of thousands of people in many many nations Are following the Lord. Not because of doctrines and theology, Rather understanding reality. Now if that be the case, 2 Timothy, which is the book that is picked for study here, Is a very important book, as a matter of fact, From the age of 18 or 19, I almost lived with 2 Timothy. I must have read it 10 million times. Exaggeration, but you know, enough times. I taught from it about 20 hours or so, A series on how to be a young godly leader. There's a book available called Against the Wind. That's the name of the book. But Timothy was a young person, And he was fairly sick in his stomach, So Paul told him to drink a whole bunch of wine. No, a little bit. And he told him to drink red wine. No, I'm just making it up. And he was timid by temperament. He was kind of withdrawn, shy, individual. You know, didn't go and make big splashes and big news. He was just a very quiet individual. And there was nothing super special about him As a type of personality. But history shows how he followed in the footsteps of Paul And made impact in his generation. So Paul writes to Timothy, the last letter he writes, And tells him a bunch of things that are not simple, But quite radical and sobering. So if you take this and read it a whole bunch of times, And say, I'm going to live my life like this, It's going to make significant change for you. Look at 2 Timothy 2, verse 3. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs. He wants to please his commanding officer. Isn't that an amazing verse? And Paul is saying, Timothy, you are a soldier. And don't waste your life on things that civilians live for. If it's music, or fashions, or this or that, And ambitions, or girlfriend, or boyfriend, Or whatever bunch of stuff everybody is running after, That's a norm. Even your parents may say, that is the way to go. But you choose something different. Now turn to chapter 3, verse 14. But as for you, continue in what you have learned, And have become convinced of. Because you know, those from whom you have known, You have learned it. And how from infancy you have known the holy scriptures. You know verse 14, but for you, Four times those words are used, but for you, Sude in the Greek. It's a contrast. Paul is saying, Timothy, everyone is going all kind of directions. There are good things maybe. But Timothy, for you as an individual, Choose this narrow road. Be radical, be crazy for the sake of him who died for you on the cross. And you lead by example. So Paul says often, follow me as I follow Christ. And so I want to say this to you, With thinking. You and I, somewhere need to make a commitment. That our objective in life is not trying to climb ladders, And become a pastor somewhere through this process. Or use the ministry to get a bigger ministry. Rather we need to understand, our objective is to sow the soul out to Christ. That whatever the Lord gave you at this time to do, That is your dream. Somehow Christ in you, through you, will transform their lives. And I hope and pray that you will think about it. Now, we are living in a time, When pluralism has become the norm when it comes to faith. That means, anything is okay. That is okay, this is okay, everything is okay. No problem, don't worry. As long as you say Jesus is Lord and sing the right songs, everything is fine. But that is not what the Bible says. Now we have young people that will come to church Sunday, And they do all the right things and sing the right songs, And they have the body language, correct everything. But during the weekdays, they are off with their friends doing whatever else. And somehow there is a dichotomy in their life. And somehow your job is to bring all these things together, That say there is no segregation, there is no division between secular and spiritual. It is one package. You are in this world, in the place of Christ. Whether young or old. And this is not an easy job. But the way it is going to work, It is you teach and preach at the same time you walk with it. Just imagine, If you have a year or two to spend with 10-15 young people, And they see your life, In the early days they may say, This guy is a cuckoo. He must have read some St. Augustine, Or some nutcase stuff, And he is not normal. But then they will find out after a few months or a year, What they believe in, Is only creating emptiness and shallow. Their heart is no more full. So they say, You are real. And then they seek and ask questions. Then you are able to lead them further and further. True Christianity, I must tell you, Is an all out commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is not looking for those who give their spare time, Weekend or retirement time. But Jesus is looking for first place in our life. Let us not make the mistake that our job is to find out, How we can enlist 10,000 young people to follow us, In our youth group or in a church. Your job is like Christ often, Multitude will come and follow him, But then he will say in the end, Unless you drink my blood and eat my flesh, You cannot be mine. He said enough things to drive people away, Because he wanted people to understand, This is a sober and serious commitment to follow him. And Jesus did not commit himself to very many people. You know that in John's Gospel chapter 2, Because they were after other things. And so it is important that we look for opportunity, To find those young people. And there are, they will come along. And then help them understand it. And let us not make a mistake. God will use your life to do the impossible. Gideon was called as you know. And he had 32,000 people, And God said it is too many of them. And then the whole thing went down to 300. And I am sure he said, What or nothing is going on. But I call it the mighty minority. And so in our journey, in our ministry, God is always looking for one individual like you, Who will come to the place of all out, Absolute commitment to Christ's Lordship, Saying no to anything, And all things that rob your first love, And commitment to Jesus Christ your Lord. Now, H.A. Evan Hopkins said this statement, I will read it. He looks today as he has ever looked, Not for crowds drifting aimlessly in his track, But for individual men and women, Whose undying allegiance will spring from their having recognized That he wants those who are prepared to follow The path of self-renunciation, Which he took before them. We sing that song, My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine, For Thee all the folly, so sin I resign, My precious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou, If ever I loved Thee, My Jesus, it is now. Why do we give up sin? Why do we say not to many good things in life? Why do we say this is the choice I am going to make? Not because somebody is watching you. Not because somebody is going to find out What you looked on your laptop or computer. No, it is because you say, My Jesus, I love you. And nothing less than unconditional surrender Can ever be fitting response to the sacrifice at Calvary. Now, how many soldiers we got in Iraq? Anybody remember? Whole bunch. But over 4,000 lost their lives. Am I right? Now, We have no difficulty in accepting It is okay for 4,000 or 5,000 young people to lay down their life In a war. For what? But we have great difficulty to accept the fact That Jesus ask no less from us. And that is the reason why Jesus lay down some Very sobering principles for those who want to follow him. And Paul takes those principles and he writes that in 2 Timothy. If you read that carefully. One, Jesus said, If you want to follow him, this is what you are going to do to the young people. That is what he must be telling. One, supreme love for Jesus Christ. Luke chapter 14 verse 26. Unless you love him more than father, mother, son, daughter. I wish he stopped there. I would say, okay, I love you more than my father, mother, my wife, my kids. And cats and donkeys and camels. And even you. But Jesus said, Unless you love me more than your own very life. You cannot be my disciple. Can you look at those words. You cannot be mine unless you love me supremely more than all things. Abraham had to go through that. The son you love, sacrifice him. Now the Lord asked you and asked me. That what you love, what is that? That friendship? That hobby? That particular thing that takes attention? Sleep, longer time of sleep? Saturday night going to bed. One in the morning after watching all kind of television or whatever else. Now cable or whatever else. Somebody said there must be 325,000 cable channels now. And then Saturday morning you sleep 11 o'clock in the morning. So Saturday is a free day kind of thing. I don't know what you are doing. Maybe you are not doing like that. But whatever would you put it on the altar? And in the book of Revelation chapter 2. These people who were really, really, really working hard. Jesus said I am going to put out the light. Jesus what is wrong with us? When you do all this stuff. You are working so hard. You are committed. You preach. You take trips and take young people to Mexico and India. And all the stuff you do and prepare. But you are doing it for yourself. Not because you love me. He says I am sad. There is a classic strange story in the Old Testament about Jacob. You know Jacob? Jacob and Esau. Jacob his name is a crook. A deceiver. And he tricks his brother Esau. And gets the birthright. So what happened? The older brother Esau gets mad. So he runs. Jacob runs. And ends up with Laban. His uncle. You know his uncle Laban is twice the crook he is. So there he sees Rachel. This beautiful girl. And he falls in love with her. And Laban happens to be the father of Rachel. So he says I want to marry Rachel. And Laban said no problem. You can marry her. You have to work 7 years for me. Looking after the sheep. It is bad enough to look after your own sheep. Looking after somebody else dumb sheep. Is horrible. It was a life of slavery. So he works 7 years. Then he is so happy and excited. He is going to get married. I am going to get my girl. And he gets married. Next morning he wakes up to find. The one with the crooked eyes. Now please help me understand it. How does this work in America? What is wrong with him? And next morning he wakes up and finds. He caught the wrong girl. You Americans don't understand this. But he gets mad. I imagine he went to Laban. He just shakes his face. I will kill you. What have you done to me? He caught the wrong girl. And Laban said. Son calm down. No problem. I said Laban was an Indian. No problem. What do you mean no problem? You can have Rachel also. Yeah. But 7 more years you have to work. And this Jacob worked 14 years. For that girl. But the Bible says. It was like just a day. Because he loved Rachel. I want to ask you a simple question. Do you love him enough? To spend a whole day with him alone? Do you love him enough? To feel the pain? The heartache he feels. For hundreds of thousands of Christians. That are abused, beaten, killed in Orissa state. Do you feel his tears and his hurt? For 16 million Afghanis living in Afghanistan. With less than 2000 secret Christians in the entire country. Are you one that look at the television, newspapers. And see what's going on in the world today. And joke about and say. What on earth is wrong with these Palestinians. These Jewish people. These Iraqis. These Indians. Or are you one. Who go. To your room. And you weep. Or the world map. My brothers and sisters. This superficial. This shallow. Plastic self-centered Christianity. That makes you think. You know the doctrines. And get bunch of preaching out. Is going to save the young generation. You are wrong. It will never happen. But it must start with you. A bell is not a bell. Until it makes sound. A song is not a song. Until you can hear it. A music is not a music. Until it's played. The love for Christ is never authentic. Unless there is sacrifice. And pain. And tears. And say no to yourself. To the fashions. And the pull of the dust. That destroys so many lives. And I say this to you. Not to condemn you. Not to make you dumb and stupid. But I'm telling you. Christ. Must be. All in all. If you want to be his. Otherwise. You will follow a Christ. Maybe not of the New Testament. As Paul said. They followed. Another Christ. Who smiles at people. And say no problem. Okay I understand your weakness. I understand this. I know you are not going all the way. That way or this way. No. That is not Jesus of the New Testament. Please think. Because who you are. That is what you are going to produce. For all those who are following you. Number two. Jesus said. Matthew 16 24. Anyone want to come after me. Let him deny himself. And let him pick up his cross. Let her. Pick up her cross daily. And come and follow me. Now here is the thing. Denial of self is not. Same as self denial. Self denial is. Forgoing certain foods. And pleasures and possessions. And comforts. But. Denial of self is. Complete submission. To the Lordship of Christ. Having no right. To run my own life. This is. Difficult for Americans. Because. From the day you are born. You are told. You are independent. It is your room. This is your toy. When kids are 18 years old. Parents usually say. Now you find your job. Find your money to go. I mean there is nothing wrong with that. We are conditioned to think independent. And I must make my life work. And I must make my choice. And this is the way it is. To a slave. Is the most terrible thing we can imagine. But. Paul. When he came to Christ. He says. Lord. Until now. I've been. The ruler of my life. The king on the throne. I made my decisions. Now I lay all things down. And I am your doer. So Romans chapter 1 verse 1 he says. I am the doer of Christ. In the old testament. The Jewish people could keep. Slaves for 6 years. And 7th year they must go free. But when the slave will come back to the master. And say master. Please listen to me my master. I don't want to leave you. I want to be yours forever. In that case. You should take him to the gate. As the elders witnessed. You must duck his ear. A hole must be made in his ear. That means from now on till the end of my life. I will only listen to my master. And Paul said blood was the price. Of the throne. And now you make no decisions for you. Whatever you want to do. Even in the ministry. But what is the Lord want you to do. And this is not easy. It happens on a daily basis. Saying no to yourself. Dying to what you want. When I was 18 years of age. I heard this little poem. That touched me so deeply. And I wrote it in the back of my Bible. This is not the same Bible. But I keep copying it to the new Bible. When I get one. I am seeking for one. Who will wait and watch. For my beckoning hands. My eye. Who will work in my manner. The work I give. And the work I give will not pass by. And oh the joy that is brought to me. When one such as this I can find. Who will do my will. Who is set. To study his master's mind. I am but a slave. I have no freedom of my own. I cannot choose the smallest thing. Nor even my way. I am a slave. Captive to the bidding of my master. He can call me night or day. Were I a servant. I could claim wages. Freedom sometimes anyway. But I was bought. Blood was the price. My master paid for me. And I am now his slave. And ever more will be. He takes me here. He takes me there. He tells me what to do. I just obey. That's all. And I trust him too. I ask you a simple question. You are in leadership. Your life whether you like it or not. Leadership. Makes huge influence. But is there something about you that others say. You know. I don't know much about this guy and this girl. But one thing I can tell you. He constantly chooses the difficult road. He gives up what is his. And he embraces the cross. He is not seeking something for himself. And I ask you to consider this. And Jesus said. Unless. You do so you can't be mine. I imagine you heard about Jim Elliot. He gave his life for Christ. He was martyred in Ecuador. Among the Indians. And leading his life. One day. Meditating on the words. In Hebrews chapter 1 verse 7. That says. He maketh his ministers a flame of fire. As he was a college student. He writes in his personal diary. These words. Quote. Am I ignitable? God deliver me from the dread. Aspects of other things. Saturate me with the oil of thy spirit. That I may be a flame. But flame is transient. Often short-lived. Canst thou. Bear this my soul. This short life. In me then dwells the spirit. Of the great short-lived. Whose seal for God's house. Consumed him. Make me thy fuel. Flame of God. By the way. The last line. He took it from Amy Carmichael's poem. That goes like this. The prayer. From prayer that ask. That I may be. Sheltered from winds. That beats on thee. From fearing when I should aspire. From faltering when I should climb higher. From sick and self. Oh captain free. Thy soldier. Who would follow thee. From subtle love. Was softening things. From easy choices weakenings. Nor thus our spirit fortified. Nor this way when the crucified. From all that dims thy calvary. Oh lamb of God. Deliver me. Give me the love that leads the way. The faith that nothing can dismay. The hope. No disappointments tire. The passion. That'll burn like fire. Let me not sing to be cold. Make me thy fuel. Flame of God. No wonder this young girl. Who leave her country. To go to India. Although 17 years or more. Sick. And hurting in her body. Laying on the bed. She will not give up. Until the end. That is not. A weakened Christianity. No. It is absolute surrender. And I pray. You will consider. Now. The next thing Jesus said. Again Matthew 16 24. I must run here. Pick up the cross. Now some people think. Picking up the cross is. You know somebody walking at you. And you know. And you know. Little difficulties. And you can't have prayer in school. And difficulty. Yeah yeah. I mean that's all bad stuff. But. Picking up the cross. Basically is our willingness. To accept death. You know what. You can't kill a dead person. You never heard that before. You. That's a big secret. You cannot kill someone. Who is dead. You can call me now. Anywhere you want to go. You know what that means. Cross. Was not. An ornament. I like cross. I have plenty of them. But cross. Simplices. Our. Willingness. To die. For the sake. Of the kingdom. In one of our pastors conference. Nagpur. Central India. Out of this four or five hundred. Young pastors. I met this young man. You know. We have some fifty. Five. Or more. Bible colleges scattered throughout. The many nations. And. They come for three years of study. And. We send out about two thousand. Young people a year. With a one way ticket. We call it. And. This young man finishes studies. And went to a mission field. And. Started preaching the gospel. Among people that never heard the gospel. And. One Sunday morning. I was teaching the new converts. A jeep came. With a bunch of people in it. They walked straight into the little hut. Church. Where the simple believer sitting on the floor. Worshiping Jesus. They began to beat up this young man. They left him in a pool of blood. Saying that we are going to come back. Now to bury you. He was taken to the hospital. And of course wherever he went. The hospital didn't do a good job. On the forehead. You can see. The scar. So deep. Bulging out. When I saw him. I asked. What happened to you? What is this? Before he could answer. A senior pastor standing next to him. Said oh. I'll tell you the story. Then he explained the whole story to me. What happened to him. The persecution. And then. The senior leaders of our ministry told him. Brother. You better don't go back to that place. They will kill you. We will send somebody else there. He responded. Whatever you say to me. I will obey. But. May I plead with you. Please don't ask me to leave the mission field. Yes. They will come back. They will cause some problems. They will beat me up maybe. Or they will kill me. But. I know. Every drop of my blood. Will bring forth fruit. I am willing to go back. Please don't ask me to. Leave the mission field. He went back there. Still to face persecution. But a glorious church established. Through his willingness. To lay down. His life. And embrace the cross. And if you and I think. We can impact. Influence. Motivate. Mobilize. Young generation. Young people. Without. Our understanding. Of the cross. You will be making a mistake. What does that mean? It may very well mean. You will have the list. Of all the young people. In your group. In your neighborhood. In your responsible position. Wherever. And then. Nobody knows this. You got alarm clock. And the alarm goes off. Two in the morning. Or three in the morning. And what are you doing? You take the list. And kneel by the bedside. Or the chair. And what are you doing? You are interceding. You are crying out to God. Name. By name. For these young people. For God to intervene. Binding the powers of darkness. Standing in the gap. Paying the price. It may mean. That you will say. I'm going to take. Next ten days. To fast and pray. For this. Or for that. And this. Takes commitment. My brothers and sisters. I'm not telling you. Something. That is easy. But you start doing it. Not work for the flesh. But rather. You do it. Because you see the burden. Of the Lord's heart. And you are willing to do that. Because of love only. He embraced the cross. For the joy that was. Before him. He embraced the cross. It says in the book of Hebrews. So when you see. Five, ten years. And now. What is going to happen? You will say. I will go to the cross. What do you mean go to the cross? Laying down. Whatever. You must lay down. And dying. To self. Well. I got another four minutes. So here is the last point. Paul. As you look through the second Timothy. You will find. The passion. The same thing Jesus. Gave to Paul. That is. Paul said this very clearly. You know. If. If. My. Cutting my throat. And pouring the blood out. Would save my people. I would do it. I'm a debtor. I owe. I must pay back. Woe. Unto me. If I don't preach the gospel. And Jesus said. Come. Follow me. And I will make you fishers of men. This. Is one. Opportunity we have. In our lifetime. To see the lost. Come to Christ. And Paul said it Timothy. Timothy. Preach the gospel. In season. And out of season. Be an evangelist. No matter where you go. Always share the gospel. You go to. In and out. Hamburger shop. Did you know. There's a one like that. I come to California. The only reason. In and out. Hamburger shop. And this is a bonus. I have today. You go there. You get the hamburger. And french fries. And be nice to the people. And. And give them a gospel tract. Wherever you going. Talk to them about the Lord. And. Help your young people. Understand that. And this. Is a kind of call. The Lord gives to us. The book of Acts. Which people talks about. Christianity. The normal Christianity. 30 years of history of the church. We got in the book of Acts. What do you find there? They are. They are like crazy people. You beat them up. As a shut up. And next thing you know. They are preaching the gospel. You put them in jail. Beat them up. And lock them up. They are middle of the night singing. And preaching the gospel. You. Keep. Paul anywhere. Before king. In the ship. Wherever. He is always preaching the gospel. Why? Jesus Christ. Is the only way. For man to be saved. From eternity. In hell. And being lost. No other name given. Under heaven. Among men. By whom we must be saved. Except. The name. Of the Lord Jesus Christ. And as we love him. Our commitment must be. Always. As Paul had. By all means. Win some. To the book of Philippians. Believers in Philippia. Philippi. He writes a book of Philippians. He says. Oh. You people are worried about me. I am sitting in prison. Being attacked. And persecuted. And all those things. He said. Don't worry. All these things helped. For the furtherance of the gospel. And Paul evaluated. Everything. In the light of. How will it help to preach the gospel. My brothers and sisters. Today. We are living in a time. When. We can. We can reap. A harvest like never before. But. There must be a passion. There must be a commitment. And longing. On our hearts. To see. The lost. One to Christ. I remember the story about. One of the missionaries in India. Who. As a young man finishes studies. Wanted to go to Rajasthan. To preach the gospel. Two thousand miles away from where he was. And he had no money to buy. The train ticket. And he decided to walk. Guiding gospel tracks. Fifteen. Hundred miles. And his wife with him. Who was pregnant. And. Three or four coworkers. And the day before they would leave. They met and prayed and made a decision. We are going to walk. Because we have no money. And we'll give tracks along the way. And if. One by one. Die. On the way. If one person will. Yender into the state of Rajasthan. And give one gospel tract. To a lost man. We would have accomplished. Our task. Let us go. Think about that. Now. My life revolves around. My Jesus. And. Some two billion people. That never had a chance to hear the gospel. And I evaluate. Everything I do. This is an honest thing. Based on this. Will it help to further the gospel. I have said no to a thousand things. For the sake of this. And I do not know where you are. But. The hundreds and thousands. And people that are under your influence. How I pray. That you will help them. Not only to understand the ways of God. And experience the reality of Christ. But also. You will help them. To look away from their own tiny world of. New CD and new DVD. And new games. And new fashions. And this girl from that boyfriend. And all these different things. I hope somehow. Somehow they'll come to the place. My life. What living for and dying for. To reach the lost world. Here. There. Everywhere. And maybe. One way you can do that. Is to plan to take. Maybe 10 15 20 young people. For two weeks three weeks. I know we are a mission that you know. We are some 14 15,000 missionaries scattered. Throughout ten nations. And we support them financially. And get them out. But I'm also promoting. If you can take bunch of these young people. And get them see. The lostness of the people. Five million people live. In the slums of Bombay. Over 100,000 children. Walking around on the streets. Not knowing who their parents are. And for them to see the reality. Of the lost world itself. Will change their thinking. Life is more than little life. In America or Canada or Europe. And I encourage you. As a leader. Think about it. I know. You know. The time is not very easy. And easy to say. You know. It's difficult to get money. You know what I tell you. Don't go to holy land. Go to unholy lands. And you pray and fast. And get these young people. Think about the lost world. And start prayer meetings. What kind of prayer meetings? You take the book Operation World. I do not. How many of you saw the book Operation World? Raise your hand. Good night. Five people. All five of you go to heaven. All the rest I don't know. But the best missionary book in the whole world. Today. I tell you. It's the Operation World. This book has in it. Information every country in the world. How do you pray for? What's happening there? And gather young people. And start a prayer meeting. You want prayer request? Go to our website. GFA.org You can get prayer request. The last day for 365 days. In Dallas our people meet. Every morning for prayer. Tuesday night for couple hours of prayer. First Friday. Night prayer. And I'm telling you what. You move your young people. To serious prayer life. And pray for the lost world. You'll be surprised. What God will do in their life. And through their life. And I'll be very happy to help you. If you just contact us. We have different booklets. There's a tract I wrote. You know. How to conduct a prayer meeting. Free for you to send. And then another booklet. You know. Learning to pray. I'll send it to you free. No obligation. Just go to our website. And say. This guy came and talked to me. KP said. Free things I'll get. I'll send it to you free. Okay. And when you get a million dollars. You can send it. No problem. But here's the thing. I always want to end my meeting like this. Anyone of you remember George Burns? George Burns. The movie actor. The guy who smoked cigar. That's how I learned to smoke cigar. No. Some years ago. And watching television. This strange funny looking old man. Now I know it was George Burns. He sing this song. I wish I was 16 again. Now I look back. I was 16. It was yesterday. Now I'm 58. Listen to me. Before you know it. Your life is over. What do you want? To live and die like your parents? Your grandparents? Those who built big buildings and monuments. And left even the wedding ring behind. We have. Amy Carmichael said. Movement seconds to work. Eternity. To enjoy. It is worth. Throwing your life away. Completely and totally. For something. Forsaking all. For him. Who died for you. And for the whole world. And he calls you. Love him. Follow him. And you will never. Never have a regret. Let's pray. And Jesus. Thank you for your grace. It is your love. Your mercy. That compels us. To follow you. Please I pray. That you help all my brothers and sisters. To count the cost. And make the right choice. So many sitting here Lord. They are in leadership. You trusted them with so much. I pray. They will remember. To those much is given. Much. Will be required. Give them grace. Bless them I pray. In Christ name. Amen. Thank you.
