In 1882, he launched The Word, Work, and World magazine, and in 1887, merged two ministries to form the C&MA, emphasizing the "Fourfold Gospel": Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. Simpson authored 101 books, including The Fourfold Gospel, and composed hymns like "Jesus Only." In 1883, he started Nyack College, training 6,000 missionaries. Married to Margaret Henry in 1866, they had six children. His global vision sent 1,500 missionaries to 40 countries by 1919. Simpson’s teachings on holiness and divine healing shaped modern Pentecostalism.

A.B. Simpson emphasizes the importance of casting our burdens on the Lord, reminding us that while our struggles may feel overwhelming, they are light for God. He illustrates that Christ carries our burdens effortlessly, as He governs the world with strength and grace. Simpson encourages believers to have faith in God's ability to sanctify, heal, and provide, assuring us that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He paints a picture of hope, where even in our darkest moments, we can hear the sweet promise of God's love and power. Ultimately, the message is one of trust and reliance on God's mighty arm to carry us through life's challenges.
Cast Thy Burden on the Lord
Sometimes when we bring a burden to God, we do so much groaning over it that it seems as though God is having a dreadful time, too. In reality it does not burden Him at all. God says in effect, "It is a light thing for Me to do this for you." Our load, though heavy for us, is not heavy for Him. Christ carries the whole on one shoulder, not two shoulders. The government of the world is upon His shoulder, and He is not struggling and groaning with it. His mighty arm is able to carry all our burdens. There is power in Christ for our sanctification. Yes, the Lord can sanctify, the Lord can heal, the Lord can do anything. You must have faith in God. If you come to a river this morning, will it take you as the mighty Niagara would take a little boat and carry you along-to a precipice? Oh, no, but to the heart of love and blessing forever. Oft there comes a wondrous message, When my hopes are growing dim, I can hear it thro' the darkness Like some sweet and far-off hymn. Nothing is too hard for Jesus No man can work like Him.
