Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Transcription
When receives revelation in the Word of God, it sometimes conflicts with what he has previously been taught. This causes you to have to deal with old traditions or wrong teaching. These tapes may contain some new light from God's Word, and it may be opposed to some traditions you have previously learned. Therefore, follow through these messages in your Bible, in sequence, in order that you may be able to make a choice for the Word of God, rather than the traditions of men. This is tape number eight in a series. We urge you to listen to all the tapes in this series in numerical order, so that the whole teaching can be received and understood. Listening to a part of this series, or to the tapes out of sequence, can lead to a misunderstanding of the nature, the... Okay, let's continue. Now, let me, turn to me just a minute. Look at me just a minute. Do you remember? Many of you, I didn't get to cover this with, that... And Isaiah 14, it talks about, talking about Satan, and Isaiah 14, since you laid low, no tree-cutter comes up against us. Satan and the powers that are, say the tree-cutter, because we are the trees, you understand that? And they come to cut us down. All right, now, and in John 15, and in Matthew 7, when it's talking about, if you don't bear the right, if you don't bear fruit for God, what's going to happen? The branch is going to be what? Cut down, because if your hearts are obeying the devil, and you're going to bear his fruit, they get permission to come in and damage everything within the sanctuary, and destroy you. You understand? See, this is learning the fear of God, folks. This is the fear of God. If you don't walk in love, you're destroyed. That's plain. And so, they are the tree-cutters, and this is what you're reading here, that's come in and moved within the sanctuary. They have taken over the meeting houses with their doctrines right there. They've set up their own standards and signs, instead of this standard right here. Now, let's see what else it looks like right there in verse 5. It seems if one is lifted up his axe, there they are in a forest of trees. Now, you see these trees over in Jeremiah, I mean James 3, you remember? Right, and now all its carved work, they just smash with hatchet and hammer. That's what the powers of darkness do. They have burned thy sanctuaries to the ground. They have defiled the dwelling place of thy name. Are y'all seeing that? Look at me, folks. The Holy Ghost is a fire. The spirit of the devil is a fire, and they're a fire, and they're burning, and they come in with sickness and disease that kills, steals, and destroys, and when the hedge is down, they move, they judge sin, and they can move on sinning, and just ride right in on it. And you're not trusting God. And they move right in, and they defile this temple. Well, how do they defile a temple? You take the powers of darkness, the pride, ego, hate, rebellion, and these things, and you're, they talk to you up here, and they get your heart in a grievous way, and say, come in here, Mr. Hate. I love hate more than I do love. Come in, unforgiveness. I love unforgiveness more than I do forgiveness. See, because my heart gets in a grievous with it, and they, they talk to you, and then they move in on you, and then they begin defiling the dwelling place of that name. They start moving sickness and diseases in there, and it's like rottenness, like we've been reading. It's like a moth eating away, and they just slow deterioration, and you don't find out about it until you're destroyed, and just slowly, just weakened, and weakened, and weakened, and weakened, and weakened, and weakened, until you're burnt to the ground. You hear me? Now, that's fear of God. You see it? If you see it, hold up your hand. Okay. Now, let's just continue. They burn their sanctuary to the ground, verse 7, they defile the dwelling place of thy name, and they've sent in their heart, this is what, this has just completely subdued them. They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land. That's a great falling away, and that's why we're learning what this is saying here right now. They've burned them all. Now, in verse 9, we do not see your signs. In other words, we don't see the Word of God. We can't understand, clearly understand, because there's no longer any prophet. Nor there's any among us who knows how long, a lot of people saying a lot of things, it's just confusion. Verse 10, how long, O God, will the adversary revile and enemy spurn them? Why dost thou withdraw thy hand, even thy right hand, from with thy bosom? Won't you just destroy them? Now, look here, yet God is our King, that's King Jesus, from of old, who works deeds of deliverance in the midst of the earth. He can, when he can go in there and get their hearts, agree with them, but he don't work deeds of deliverance in the rebellious people. Verse 18, Remember this, O Lord, that the enemy is reviled, and what kind of people? It's not a wise people, it's a foolish people, has spurned thy name. Do not deliver the soul of thy turtledove to these who, while obese, the powers of darkness, do not forget the life of thine afflicted forever. Remember this covenant right here, Lord, because the dark places, that's where there's darkness and people stumbling and staggering in these meeting houses, are full of the habitation of violence, which is perversion. Well, now, I want you to turn with me to 1 Corinthians 10, please. 1 Corinthians 10, this is going to help you want to repent. I'll tell you what, folks, you better not go to God just wanting to have an experience. Everything that you do before God is walking with Jesus and obedience and covenant. Amen? Now, 1 Corinthians 10, I want you to read verse 21. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord. Now, let me ask you something. In Babylon, was there a dwelling place of demons? Obviously, their cup that they had to serve people... Now, look at me, did they have a cup? What was in this cup? Abomination and rebellion to God, wasn't it? Now, it says you can't take the cup of the Lord and the cup of the demons. Whose cup are you taking when you take the cup of Babylon? You're taking the cup of demons, because it's doctrines of demons, ungodliness. It's doctrines that does not conform you to godliness. So, you take that cup of demons and you're drinking these abominations of doctrines of demons. And then you come and take the cup of the Lord. You're going to say, I'm making covenant with you, God, while your heart is in rebellion and defile and drawing near to... What do you think is happening to you? See, there's no fear of God before the rise. Huh? What did it say? How can you take the table? What is the table of demons? The table is the place of covenant. And you take the table of demons where your heart is in agreement. There are doctrines of ungodliness and unrighteousness, which Romans 1 talks about. You defend and you suppress the truth in ungodliness. And then you want to come and you're taking the table of the Lord. Are you hearing what I'm saying? See, it's all a condition. With your heart you either believe in the righteousness, or with your heart you believe in unrighteousness, or within your heart you believe in both ways, which makes you a harlot, a whore, speaking blessings and curses. If you're going to go both ways, you've got a defiled heart. That's not good. He said, you're worshiping me in vain, because the reason you're doing this is because you've got some doctrines, which is the opinions of men. That's why you... and you've found a false security. And then you turn away. Your heart gets your conditions. The tradition gets your heart, and you turn away from the Word of God. Then you walk in ungodliness and unrighteousness with a false security. That's called the security of the unbeliever, to find a security anywhere, and in it often, or anything other than in Jesus. Are you learning the fear of God? See, if any of you have ever heard me say this before, I hope it's helping you again. I hope there's something out there sitting there and it's not helping you again. Because I think this is what's had us. Well, we see there in the next verse, 22, Or do you provoke the Lord to what? Jealousy. Look at me, folks. What did Paul say in 2 Corinthians 11, verse 2? I'm jealous for your heart, like a godly jealousy. What kind of a jealousy is God's heart? He's jealous for all your heart. He doesn't want demons, men, world, or things in the world, or nothing to have your heart except Him. He wants it, He made you, He created you for His pleasure and fellowship. Amen? So, how do you provoke the Lord to jealousy? When you're going to come to God and you say, well, let me run over here, I want to get Satan too. I'm going to give Satan and the demons part of my heart too. That's how you provoke Him to jealousy. Are you hearing me? And that's exactly what 2 Corinthians 11 said, that I'm afraid that just as the powers of darkness, Satan, the serpent deceive thee, that your hearts are going to be drawn away from the simplicity and a pure heart devotion to Christ. Through another gospel and another Jesus, you'll be led by a different spirit, which is the powers of darkness, to another table and drink out of another cup. Are you hearing me? Kind of plain, isn't it? When you start looking at it through God's eyes, but you can't see these things looking through some doctor's eyes, tunnel vision. Look at it through the gospel's eyes. You don't take part of the Word of God and call it the gospel. If you don't take all the Word of God, you haven't got the gospel. Now, next verse. Look at verse 14. Therefore, my beloved, you better flee from what? Advolatry. Now, I want you to see something here. Just hold your place and turn to Colossians 3 with me. Just hold your place. Now, I want to show you the abominations that doctrines of demons feed you. I'm going to tell you what you drink and receive. Everybody's keeping their mind on the Word now, aren't they? Don't let your mind drift off into some demon talking to you. I say take your thoughts captive right here. You're listening to life right here. If you miss this, that thing will talk you into hell or something. This is how serious it is. Now, Colossians 3, verse 5. You're dead to what? You're dead to immorality. You're dead to an impure heart. The opposite of that. That's how having a whole heart to Jesus, you put to death all impurity. You're dead to passion. You're dead to evil desire. And you're dead to greed. All of these things amount to what? Adultery. Well, did your Bible right there say that you better flee from what? Adultery. But now, who is it? Now, let me ask you something. Now, I want you to look at me. Who is it that talks to your mind up here to bring impurity? Who is it that talks to your mind to bring immorality? Who is it that talks to your mind to bring passion and evil desire? Who is it that talks to your mind up here to build greed into your heart? Who is it? The powers that are. And so, if you're not resisting these things, what's happening to your heart? It's becoming a foul and you have idols in your heart. You're practicing sin. When you practice, it won't give it up. You have uncleanliness. And you're eating, drinking abominations. How do you drink? Eat the Word of God. You take it to heart. When you drink these things, Satan says, you drink out of this cup, you're taking abominations into your heart. Are you seeing what I'm saying? You hear me? Does it say you better flee from these things? See, you've got it. It says you can practice sin and rebelling to God. You skip over Scripture like this right here. Let's continue right there in verse 6. It's on account of these very things that the wrath of God is going to come. Amen? Well, what if you've got a doctrine that tells you it's a practice, you can practice these things? You know what you've got? You've got a lie in your hand. You're holding a lie. If you don't believe it's a lie, something talked to you up here when you read this. What are you going to do with the Bible? What do you do with this? This says it's a lie. Why? Because a doctrine and a people who do not expose, nor oppose, nor even understand how the powers of darkness work against them, if you're not resisting the powers of darkness, you're not resisting rebellion. Because that's what they bring. If you're not resisting the powers of darkness, they're putting rebellion in your heart while they're making you think you're something and give you a false security, just like it did Eve. It's all right for you to come and eat off the tree of the lust of flesh, come and eat this fruit and take it to me. You surely shall not die. Now that's a direct contradiction of what God's Word said, you surely shall not die. And so people look around and they see something, the Word of God, and they go and look, and they go look, and they go right to sleep as they look around at thousands of people. Nice folks. Nice folks. And they look at them. They get their eyes off the Word of God and they go look at nice folks and they say, well, God wouldn't send them to hell. What do you think He did to the Pharisees? They went straight to hell, except a few of them got saved. Except your righteous seed died to the Pharisees, you're going to hell too. Folks, we're talking about love or hell. Do you understand? We're talking about your heart either agreeing with Satan or your heart's going to be in agreement with God. Now folks, it's that serious. Unless you, if you don't like that kind of thing, what you're saying is, I don't like the fear of God. If you love the fear of God, you're going to do away with all rebellion because you want all your heart to go to the Lord. Are you understanding what I'm saying? That is the fear of God. The fear of God is to understand the judgment of God. To understand that everything God has is yours. That's what covenant is when two become one. Now the wrath of God is coming because of these things. Is that what your Bible says? Now let's just continue. Let's don't act like it's not in there. And in them, verse 7, you once walked, which means you don't walk there anymore. When you were, were, were, were, were, you were living there, which means you're not living there and rebelling anymore in your heart. You don't have this idol if you're putting it to death. Amen? And furthermore, it warns you of what you better do about idol. You better flee from these things in your heart. You better flee from anything that you love more than you do of the Lord. Amen? But now, verse 8, you better put them all aside. Put aside anger, wrath, malice, slander, abusive speech. Put all these things from where? Your mouth. You lay aside the old man with his evil practices there, the old cursed nature. Turn back to Ephesians 5. I want you to see something right now. Ephesians 5, verse 5. For you can know with certain, I mean God said it certain, that no immoral or no impure person or covetous man who has a what? A daughter has an inheritance of the kingdom of Christ and God. Now, I'll tell you what you do. Look at me. If something like that, if your carton, your flesh don't like that, I'll tell you what you do. You just cast this word behind you and go find you some people that believe different from that and get your ears tickled and say, just decide you're just going to not receive this part of the Word. You don't like that part of the Bible. Flesh is hostile to that part of the Bible. Folks whose heart lives at the flesh don't like that part of the Word of God, they'll go find them some folks who walk and obey unto God and say, and look up at them. Maybe it's somebody with intellect or academic. Find someone and go bow to that instead of to God. Just go bow to it and look around and say, well, this is all right. At least I'll have somebody in hell with me. I'll tell you it's serious, folks. As a matter of fact, I'm going to be honest with you, I don't know of anything more serious than what this is. I don't want to be honest with you of something else. Don't try to look somewhere to find out where all this is going on because we haven't been this way before. We're just now learning some things. Once you settle down and gather around something and call it it and say, now I'm going to be the pattern, I've got it all. Honey, you done went back in darkness again. I'll tell you a disciple is a learner and that's what we all are. We're learners and there's no end to the light. You keep coming to the light. There's no end to it. And the only one that knows everything is Jesus and He's the one that stands in the center of His church. Amen? The Lord be to God forevermore. Now I'm going to tell you something, folks. We couldn't comprehend the mercy and grace of God that's been on us just last night and what He did. If we could really see ourselves in a way that God has really seen us and has told us, right? See, we compare ourselves among ourselves and measure ourselves by ourselves with the world and the church and all these things. You see, you don't understand why God doesn't even just kill us. I mean, that's what He wanted to do. He created man and He saw all of their deeds were evil, their thoughts or their heart, the intent of their heart was evil. He wanted to kill them. And you know what He did? He did that. All except the family who were righteous called Noah and destroyed them with a flood of water. And I want you to know there's another flood coming today. And I want you to know it's destroying and removing from this world everybody that will not walk in righteousness and walk in holiness before God. And I'm going to tell you something, no man or no reputations or no organization or nothing in this world is zero of the realm of it. I mean, when God says it, that's just the way it is. It's not going to change it. It's not going to change nothing. So now, if you find something you don't like in the Bible, just go and find somebody where you can be comfortable in your little flesh and just start bowing your little heart to it and everything, just start drifting, just start drifting, just start hanging in there and let somebody say they just went on to heaven, they just went on to be of the Lord, rebelling and hell all over him. No. Let me tell you where he went to. He went to hell. He just found somebody to lie over him while he was dead. As a matter of fact, he's already in hell. Folks, do you know the fear of God is beautiful? Why? Why? Why would we want to have to be like Satan? Now, why does somebody as good as God is, anything good and everything good, why wouldn't we want to be in rebellion to someone that made you? What part of you would want to be in rebellion to someone that created you? Let's just ask yourself that. Why? Why try to defend rebellion to God? Huh? He can do whatever he wants to when you get to be God. And he put it all right here. And it's not for private interpretation. And he's no respecter of any people, and he'll lead you in all truth when he's got your heart. Now, Ephesians 5, let's read it again. You can know with certainty that people have this idolatry in their hearts. You can know with certainty that no immoral or impure person or a covetous man who is an idolatry has an inheritance of the kingdom of Christ and God. He doesn't have it. Amen? And let verse 6. Now, don't let babbling come along and deceive you with what? Empty words. They're going to come up for because of these things. Now, don't you think you're going to practice this and babbling come along and kind of feed you these abominations because of these things that the wrath of God is going to come on the sons of disobedience. And we know the sons of disobedience are the ones who walk with this rebellion in their heart, and these things are in your life. It's coming out your mouth. It's in your heart, and you're walking in a rebellion of God and you're a son of disobedience, front row, back row, if you're not overcoming and dealing with it with all your heart. You understand what I mean? I'm not talking about save loss, save loss, save loss. I'm telling you you're an overcomer. It's the overcomers that don't get in the lake of fire. Is that what we read a while ago? Huh? When Jesus got over your heart, you will overcome. You'll possess the land. Amen? Therefore, verse 7, it says, Do not be partakers with them, but it's saying it won't come to the Lord with all their heart. That we want to justify and practice these things. Everybody hear what I'm saying? Now, let's turn back. Do you know what idolatry is now? Turn back to 1 Corinthians 10. Now, let me ask you something. Who's a wise man? A wise man is somebody that comes to the Lord with all their heart. Is that right? Now, a foolish man is a foolish person who has a divided, deviled heart. Is that correct? It says now, verse 14, Therefore, my beloved, you had better what? You better, hey, you know what flea is? You better set sail, folks. You better head just as hard as you can. You better get away from all idolatry. Amen? Well, does that sound like after what we've already said and seen that that's a pretty good idea to do that? Do you see why? You better flee from idolatry. Amen? Now, I speak as to what kind of man? A foolish man cannot see this and understand it because foolish. He's asleep. A spirit of sleep is on him. He's got a sealed book, and the idols are a stumbling block right before his face. He can't even see it. He can't even see it. So God is speaking to wise men, and you're going to what? You're going to judge what I say. Is that what He says? Huh? I want you to remember something we read over in Hosea 14 last night, verse 9. Whoever is wise, let him understand these things. Whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the righteous will walk in them, but transgressors are going to stumble in them. Do you remember reading that? Now, 1 Corinthians 10, verse 1. Let's get back up there to verse 1. For I do not want you to fall on the cloud and all pass through the sea. Now, we were reading about some of these things a while ago, weren't we? And all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. Is that what we're doing today? For they all were drinking from the spiritual rock which followed them, and this rock was Christ. Amen? Now, we've been reading about the rock over there, and this same rock. Are we in a new covenant right now, in the New Testament? Right? Okay, now verse 5. Nevertheless, with most of them, God was not well pleased. Do you know why He wasn't well pleased? Because of the rebellion in their hearts. And they were what? What are those two words? Laid low in the wilderness. Now, of course, look at me. Traditions like to say, you know, everybody goes to heaven. They say you do away with judgment that way. The powers of darkness can't get your eyes off of judgment. Then you'll never have the fear of God. And you can just come to God any way you want to. You can shake your fist at Him. God has to have you. You don't have to have God. See, because you come and lie with your own eyes. God just come down and cooperate with us now. We're going to help you out. Are you hearing what I'm saying? But they were laid low, and then God said, well, you know, everybody just goes to heaven. All you have to do, well, hold your place right there. I want to show you something, what happened to them right there. Just hold your place in Psalm 78. Just a minute. I want to show you something. Psalm 78. Psalm 78. Everybody probably beat me. But I've got patience with my new Bible. And now in verse... You see, this comes from over there. And if I'm going to read here, I'm not going to turn to it. I mean, I don't want you to turn to it, but I want to read to you something out of Jeremiah 7, back there before. In Jeremiah 7, if you want to write it out from Psalm 78, 60. Here's what it says. He said, Thus said the Lord... Turn to Jeremiah 7, please. You've got some more fingers, haven't you? Hold these places and turn to Jeremiah 7. Jeremiah 7. Now we're going to read in Jeremiah 7, verse 2. Stand in the gate of the Lord's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah, who enter by these gates to worship the Lord. Thus said the Lord, of hosts, of God, of Israel, mend your ways and your deeds, and then I will let you dwell in this place. Don't you trust in these deceptive words, saying this is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord. Look at verse 8. Behold your trusting in... What kind of words? Deceptive words to no avail. Now look at what these deceptive words call us to be in your mouth and in your heart. Will you have stealing in your heart and mouth? Will you have this murder? Will you have committed adultery? Will you swear falsely and offer a sacrifice to Baal with the powers of darkness and walk after these demons, these other gods that you've known, and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered. We are free. That you may do all these ones. What's that word? Is that what Babylon is going to be feeding people, the cup of abomination? Are you going to make it sound all right, huh? Has this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers? Now look in verse 14. Therefore I'm going to do to this house, which is called by my name, and what do those four words say? In which you trust. You're trusting in the house instead of in me. Is that right? Huh? I can't hear you. In which you trust, in the place which I give you, your fathers, as I did to what? Shiloh. I'm going to do the same thing I did to Shiloh, because here's what you're doing in verse 23. This is what I commanded them, saying, Obey my voice, and then I'll be your God, and you'll be my people, and you'll walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you. Yet they didn't obey my word or incline their ear, but they walked where? They walked in their own counsels, and in what kind of heart? A stubborn and evil heart, and they kept going backwards instead of forwards. They didn't come to life. You follow me? Now let's look at them in Psalm 78. Let's see what he did to them in Shiloh, and it's what you see and he's doing today, verse 60. So that he abandoned the dwelling place at Shiloh, abandoned this dwelling place, a tent when he pitched among men, his presence was gone, and he gave up their strength to what? Captivity, and his glory into the hand of the adversary. He delivered his people to the curse, to the sword. He was filled with wrath. There's the anger of the Lord turned loose at his inheritance. Fired, devoured, that's the fire of the powers of darkness, devoured his young men, and the virgins had what? They had what? They didn't make it. Are you hearing me? They didn't have no wedding zone. Now come on up here. Come on back to 1 Corinthians 10. 1 Corinthians 10. Now, verse 6. Now look at verse 5. You know that he was not well pleased, and he laid low some in the wilderness, right? Well, you're just reading. Now verse 6, now these things happened as what? Examples for who? Are you in the New Testament? This thing happened as example for you and me that we should not crave evil things as they also craved. In other words, you better not crave these evil things that they did, and the demon turned loose on them. Was the demon turned loose on them? The same thing that happened to you? Now let's go ahead. Verse 7. Do not be what? Have you circled idolaters about four times? Do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, this people sat down to eat and drink, and they stood up to play. Ho hum, God, they just, they're not sober and alert. They're asleep with idols in their hearts. And it says, some of them locked themselves in their places, spirits asleep there, and they can't, the words are sealed books. All right, verse 8, you better not act what? Immorally as Babylon, that poor harlot church is defiling hearts and telling people they can act immorally as some of them did, and 23,000 fell in one day. Is that the example for who? Example for you and me. Verse 9, or let us what? You better not try the Lord as some of them did, and they were destroyed by who? The serpents. You know who these serpents are a type of? And who's, is that example for who? You and me. You better not grumble as some of them did, and they were destroyed by the destroyer. That's the example for you and me. Now verse 11, now these things happened to them as an example. They were written for whose instruction? Our instruction of whom the end of the ages have come. Therefore you better, he who thinks he's standing, he better take heed lest he fall. And I want to warn you right now, that everybody who thinks they're standing, they better heed this word of God, because they're drifting away, and the Spirit of sleep over them, I believe, a lion to send right into hell. Verse 13, no temptation has overtaken you. Now he's talking about these temptations, these powers of darkness, to put immorality, and crying to the Lord, and grumbling, and idolatry in your heart. He says no temptation has overtaken you, but such is common to man, and God is faithful. God is faithful. God is faithful. He will not allow you to be what? He's not going to allow you to be tempted beyond what you're able, but with that temptation he's going to provide a way of escape that you may be what? Able to what? Endure it. Who's going to be saved? Those who what? Endure to the end, and those who overcome. Unless you've got another gospel, or another Jesus, or some nice folks you want to follow after. So therefore it says, you better flee from idolatry, and I'm speaking to wise men that can understand this, because the foolish people have idols in their hearts that won't give them up, can't understand it. In verse 21 he says, you'd better not try to drink the cup of demons and the cup of the Lord. You'd better not partake of the cup of the Lord, the table of the Lord than the table of demons. Now let me ask you something. Is that pretty clear? Is that plain? Now what do you think? You're learning the fear of God, you know that. So you'd better repent. You'd better turn to the Lord with a whole heart. You'd better give up everything. You'd better not let these things talk to you about this situation, explain this way, and just say, oh, they're not be like in the parable of the Word, where they received the Word with joy, joy, joy, joy. And then when temptation came to come and test their heart, they fell away. But it was the temptation of powers of brightness called persecution, affliction, the worries of the world, deceitfulness of riches, and desires for everything. The parable of the Word clearly tells you that's what they bring to you. And they steal the Word out of your heart. Because why? Your heart loves the world, the worries of the world, deceitfulness of riches, desires of other things, and approval of people, rather than persecution, affliction, despair, and just take it away, which proves the Lord didn't have your heart. And that's what they're trying. And you've got truth. It's up to you to cling to the Lord and hang on to it and purify your heart, because you are going to answer for you. Don't you? When you've been in hell for 10,000 years, don't be looking around for the bunch that you had your eyes on, that you find the security in what they said instead of security of the Word. I'm going to tell you something, folks. Do you understand what I'm saying? It's not popular enough yet. I hope that you understand that this is not popular. Well, the thing is, is it the truth? Well, Rick was talking about that I'm not a wire hubcap. I told him I felt like I was maybe the jealous type or something, but I don't know. I don't even know what a part you are. But I'm going to tell you, God has a lot of parts, but I'm going to tell you something. You're hearing the gospel, and I'm going to tell you something. You better not let your eyes and your heart be caught onto the wire spoke wheels. You better get all of it. Amen? So I wouldn't change anything. I wouldn't change my part for anybody's part. God put something in my heart to go with my part, and I tell you, I'm purifying my heart. I can tell you that. I'm coming to the light, and I'm learning just like you're learning, and I'm learning about the fear of God. Are you? Now I think we better think about repenting too. Well, amen. Folks, is this serious? Let me ask you something. Have you ever heard anything more serious in your life? Do you believe God means what he says and says what he means? You better watch your mind and your thoughts. You better not let it drift off. Peace and safety. You better not go back to sleep. The Lord said you better be sober and alert. Amen?
