(Where Is the Church Going) 9. the Dangers of False Teachings
Miki Hardy

Miki Hardy (birth year unknown–present). Born and raised in Mauritius, Miki Hardy is a pastor and founder of Church Team Ministries International (CTMI), established in 2001. After graduating with a civil engineering degree in Australia in 1973, he returned to Mauritius, married Audrey, and they had two daughters, Frédérique and Carole. Raised in a religious Catholic family, Hardy and Audrey converted to Christianity in the late 1970s during charismatic meetings at Loreto Convent in Mauritius. They founded Eglise Chrétienne in Curepipe, Mauritius, and attended Christian Bible Training College in Durban, South Africa, in 1979. By the late 1980s, disillusioned with the church’s state, Hardy studied the early church in Acts and Paul’s epistles, embracing the message of the cross as central to unity and maturity, which transformed his life and ministry. CTMI, based in Mauritius, networks pastors across Africa and beyond, emphasizing apostolic teaching through conferences, TV, and radio broadcasts like “Heart Talk” on TBN Africa. Hardy has authored books, including Le défi de la croix and The Church Needs to Know, promoting repentance and sound doctrine. He continues to travel with Audrey, preaching globally, saying, “The only solution for the Church is to come back to the teachings of Jesus and the early apostles!”

So this morning I would like to share with you about the dangers of false teachings. You know sometimes we talk about false teachings and we associate it with movements like monism, Jehovah's Witness, humanism. These are obvious, false faith. These are obvious, but we are going to deal with false and deceiving teachings in the body of Christ, in the Church of Jesus Christ. The dangers of of hearing them, the dangers of being submitted to them, the dangers of accepting them, and the dangers of giving our lives for them. And unfortunately in the body of Christ today there are many false and deceiving teachings. That's why it's our responsibility, our responsibility to warn Christians that they must not just accept anything that they hear. It's dangerous. I'll show you why it is dangerous. You know sometime back I heard someone saying behind the pulpit and addressing thousands of Christians that God is not only spiritual, but God is material and financial. God is financial and God is material. I mean this is a strong, false, deceiving statement because God is spirit. And I can quote you hundreds of statesmen being preached behind the pulpit that millions of Christians not only hear it, accept it, and try to live it. This is dangerous things. I can quote many other statements about preachers talking about positive confession, which is totally a worldly, what can I say, method of trying to become better by confessing positive things for your life. If that was so simple, I wonder why Jesus would have come and die on the cross for us. If the solution would be so easy that we would just have to confess things and then our life will be transformed. And thousands and millions of Christians keep not only hearing it, accepting it, and doing it. We can go on and on and on and on. Lately I heard someone talking about spiritual blessings and material blessings and quoting what God promised to Abraham. The promise that gave, that God gave to Abraham that he would be a blessing to many nations. And then he quoted the scripture in the book of Galatians where God talked about how we have been redeemed from the curse of the law so that everyone who would believe in Christ would inherit the blessings of Abraham, which is a spiritual blessing. Salvation in Christ by faith is a spiritual blessing. And it's the promise that God gave to Abraham for us who believe. That's why Abraham is the father of faith. And now he was talking about all the promises and the material blessings and how everyone must be prosperous and rich on earth. That's what God has planned since Abraham. Oh Lord help us, where are we going? And I can quote and I can say because I hear, I hear people teaching about ask anything from God and he will give it to you, anything. And they quote scripture. Now open your Bibles with me in 2nd Timothy chapter 4. You know hundreds of preachers use scripture to promise blessings. It's amazing, it's amazing. 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 1 to 5. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom. Preach the word, be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and teaching for the time will come. Now we're talking here about 2,000 years ago, about when the apostle Paul talks to Timothy about a time that will come. And the time has come and the time is now. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. But according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers. And they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables. But you Timothy, be watchful in all things. Endure afflictions. Do the work of an evangelist. Fulfill your ministry. Now let me say something. Constant hearing of false teachings have devastating results. Constant hearing of false and deceiving teachings have got devastating results in the lives of Christians. Because the first thing that will happen to those who constantly hear this false and deceiving emotional doctrine, you'll end up having itching ears. You will end up having itching ears and you will come to love hearing these messages. You'll come to make them part of your life. You love them. You run to hear them. And you will finally have itching ears. Ears to hear exactly what you want to hear. That's what Paul says to Timothy here. You love these messages. I know Christians you know that run, run, run. They run to hear what they can get. They run. If someone promises something, Matteo, they run. They love it. They've come to accommodate it in their spiritual life. And it's all that they want to hear. It becomes an emotional lifestyle. That's what happens. They can't hear messages that demand something of their lives. They can't. As soon as you preach to them a message where they've got to give something of their lives, they can't hear it. They run back to those who give them promises of material things, of what they can get, of what they can receive, of what they can heap up. You know, that's what happened to them. Christians have come to the place where they like to hear false teachings. It's not because they want to go the wrong way. It's because they have been accustomed to it. Yeah, they like to hear messages that drive their emotions. They like to hear messages that show them how to prosper and how to become richer. They like to hear messages about how they can receive from God. But God gave his son. And Jesus gave his life. And the apostles of the early church gave their lives. The apostle Paul gave his life. The Christians of the early church gave their lives. Why should we be different? Why should we be different to those who have proved that by giving up their lives to Jesus Christ and losing their lives for him, walked a victorious life? No matter the afflictions and the sufferings and the test, no matter what they went through, they gave their lives. That's what they were interested to do, to give their lives. But when you constantly hear about what you can get, you finally don't want to hear what you can give. You don't even understand and believe that you need to give except your poor offering. Yes. Unfortunately, this is the case. So when you first like the messages and it makes your ears tickle, or in other words, you like it, you are charged up when you hear it. Your emotions are at their highest level when you hear it. Your body is jerked up when you hear it. But your soul and your spirit have no reaction to it. So you come to the place where now all the things that you want to hear is for your own personal interest. And the second reaction, the second result is that you do not want to hear the message of the cross. You don't want to, because it's totally opposed to what you are already hearing deceiving false teachings about everything that you can get and inherit and become a benefit for your own life. In other words, you become the enemy of the cross. That's what you become. You become an enemy of the cross. The message of the cross becomes a very strange one to you. It seems strange. You are so used to, so accustomed to hear about things for you, for you, for you, that the message of the cross that demands of your life becomes a strange message. Strange. How can he talk that way? This is false doctrine. It disturbs your life. Yeah. It disturbs your life. It disturbs your way of thinking. It disturbs everything in you. It shakes you and you don't like it. It becomes false teaching to you. It's amazing. Are you following me? I'm talking about the truth. You know, when Jesus came on earth and he spoke to the Pharisees, his message was a strange one. They couldn't, they couldn't cope with what Jesus said to them. They could not. They were proud. They were believing in themselves. They were thinking that they were the ones, they knew everything. They were those who taught the Jews. But when Jesus came and he talked to them about a very simple message, asking them about their lives, they fought him. They even said he has a demon. They opposed him. They criticized him. They put him to death. They wanted to stone him. Everything that he said, that Jesus said was confusion to them. They were never used to the message of Jesus Christ. It shook them. It troubled them. Now open our Bibles in Philippians chapter 3. We read from verse 17. Now before verse 17, the apostle Paul was talking about his experience and the revelation of the Christian lifestyle. That when you become a Christian, you are ready to lose everything for the sake of gaining Christ. And now when you become a Christian, you want to know him. You want to know Jesus Christ. And he says that I want to know him in the power of his resurrection and in the fellowship of his sufferings, so that I may partake to resurrection life. Now verse 17, he says, he declares in verse 17, brethren, join in following my example. Join in. Join with me in my lifestyle, in my understanding of the Christian life, in the revelation that I have of Christianity. Of the plan of God for my life and your life. Join in with me, following my example. That's the apostle Paul. And not those who so walk as you have us for a pattern. And Paul said in another scripture, follow me as I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I wonder how many preachers would stand behind pulpits today and say, follow me as I am a follower of Jesus Christ. Would they dare, would they dare to say, follow me as I am a follower of Jesus Christ. Do what I do. Be ready to accept what I accept. Be ready to go through what I am going through. That was his message. Join with me, he says. Join in with me, following my examples. And note, note, search for, look for those. That's what he says. And not those who so walk, or in other words, walk like me. Who have joined me. Follow me and look for those who are living like me. That's what he's saying. Is your Bible says the same thing? Okay. Okay. Join in following my example and not those who so walk as you have us for a pattern. Now listen to me Christians. You need to have someone in front of you who is an example of Christian lifestyle. And not anyone who come and talk to you about all the promises that you can get, not even knowing about their lifestyle. You must see them suffer for the sake of the gospel. You must see them lose their lives for the sake of the gospel. Paul is not talking about those who repeat what he says. No, he's not talking about preachers who repeat what he wrote. No, he said join in with me. Join in. Come with me. Come on the same road. Come with the same attitude. Come and be ready to lose your life. Come and be ready to deny yourself. Come and be ready to drink the cup. Come and be ready to suffer like I suffer. Because you have been given the grace not only to believe in him, but to suffer with him. Search, look for those who like Paul became great examples. Note them. Note them. Sometimes I hear preachers you know on television. I don't want even to know who they are. I'm not even interested about their names by what they say. That's why we need to catch the spirit of Christ. The spirit of this gospel. The spirit who the apostles of the early church carried. The revelation that the Christians of the early church carried in their hearts. The spirit of those who wrote the new testament. Note, he says note. Note those. Note these preachers who so walk like me. In other words, walk like me. Who have the same spirit. Who have the same language. Who go through fire. Who are being tested. Who you see are carrying the burden of your life. Note them. Those who so walk as you have us for a pattern. For many, verse 18, for many walk of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping that they are the enemies of the cross of Jesus Christ. They are the enemies. The apostle Paul is weeping, saddened by what is happening. To hear what these preachers all around are preaching. In his days, you know the apostle Paul had many enemies wherever he went. Yes, they accused him of false apostle. They tried to discredit his ministry while he was in prison. They talked against him. But if you look in the book of Philippians, you will see the attitude of a broken, humble man of God who knows what it is to suffer with Christ. He closed his mouth and let them speak and never tried to justify himself. And he says, note those. Sort them out. Pick them up. Pick them out of the lot. Pick them. Search for them. Feel them. Watch them. It's so easy just to hear good words. You know anyone, I can come to you and preach to you the most beautiful, perfect preaching that anybody else can preach. You know, you just have to pick up my sermon and come and preach it. Or I can pick up a sermon of somebody and preach it. That's not the deal. No. Christians, before you hear, note. Note those who walk like me. Yeah? But you see, Christians today, they don't even know. They don't even want to note. They don't even want to feel. They don't even want to find out. No, they are not interested. They have itching ears and they only want good things that they can hear. That's all they want. If they come here and somebody says to them, give me 50 bucks and the Lord will bless you and give you an airplane. And they go for it. Yeah? Millions of Christians are being deceived today. Because thousands of preachers told them that they need to become rich and it's God's appointment and God's plan for them to be rich. And they are more poor Christians than rich. God help us. Now don't put the blame of these Christians and say that they have no faith. It's your doctrine that is not right. It's what you say that is not right. Don't blame Christians and don't and stop deceiving them about all their promises, material blessings. God created the poor and he created the rich. That's what the Bible says. God takes and God gives. That's my God. He's on the throne. He decides everything. And God does not, he's not going to do what you decide or what you preach. He's going to do what he wants. And you can tell me, okay, he declared it. He declared it the way you want to see it. If you don't have the spirit of the gospel, you will twist what God said. Yeah. And you will fool and deceive Christians. Now the apostle Paul says, they are the enemies of the cross whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly. God is their belly. The message of the cross is not part of their lives and is not part of their teachings. Yes. God is their belly. In other words, they pervert the gospel for their own benefit. They pervert the gospel. God is their belly. They use God. They use his scripture. They use his word for their own interest. That's what the apostle Paul says here. They set their mind on earthly things. Read it with me. Read it. I'm not inventing anything. Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame. In other words, God look at them and say, shame on you. Shame on you. Who set their mind on earthly things. That's where their mind is set. Earthly things. Yeah. All that your hand can pick. Take it. Take it. It's ugly. And their glory, their glory is on what they own and on what they possess. That's where their glory is. And the apostle Paul says, I glory in the cross of Jesus Christ. That's what the apostle Paul says. If I have to glory, I glory in the cross. Yeah. But here the apostle Paul says about these preachers and teachers, whose God is their belly. They are enemies of the cross. They set their mind on earthly things. And they want the Christians to also set their mind on earthly things. Dangerous stuff. And yet the old Bible talks about God giving his son Jesus Christ on the cross. God so loved the world that he gave his son, that whosoever may believe will have eternal life. They know it. They know these scriptures. They know it. They set their mind on earthly things. Dangerous. And you know how many thousands of Christians don't like to hear the message of the cross today? Because they've been used to hear one message. That's all they know. The last decade, the last 15 years has been probably the worst years of Christianity. And yet everybody talks about revival. And the church is on the decline, losing the north, not knowing where they're going. Christians today don't know where they're going. They are so confused, hearing and hearing about false teachings. They're confused. They don't know where they are going. They don't know what they are living for. They don't know about identification to the sufferings and death of Christ. They don't know. And the Bible said in the last days, the days that we are living, many will have itching ears. They will like to hear things that touch their emotions. 1 Timothy chapter 4. In fact, let's continue to read a bit about Philippians before we jump to Timothy. Verse 24. Now we come back to Philippians chapter 3. We read verse 17, 18, 19. But now we're going to read to verse 24. Our citizenship is in heaven. Our citizenship is where? In heaven. We are just tourists on this earth, pilgrims. That's what we are. You agree with me? That's what we are. Nothing else. That's why the apostle Paul, he talks about seek for eternal things and not things that are earthly. That's what we're seeking for. And here he says again, for our citizenship is in heaven from which we also eagerly wait for Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to his glorious body according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things to himself. Chapter 4 verse 1. Therefore, beloved and longed for brethren, my joy and crown. So stand fast in the Lord, beloved. Stand fast in the Lord, beloved. Stand fast in the Lord. Spiritual language. Spiritual language. Seek first the kingdom. Seek first the kingdom. Seek first the kingdom. Timothy chapter 4 verse 16. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them. For in doing this, you will save both yourself and those who hear you. Keep sound doctrine. By doing so, you will save both yourself and those who hear you. So in other words, this is a danger to preach false deceiving teachings, because it will destroy our lives. And the only way to save us is to hear sound doctrine. Sound doctrine. That's why the apostle Paul says, pay attention to what you say. Pay attention to how you live. Pay attention to what you preach. Continue in them. Don't waver. Don't depart from the message of the cross. Stay there. Don't mix it up. Don't add your own thinking. Don't twist it for your own gain. In the last days that we are living, it will be very hard to be a preacher. Will be very hard to be a preacher. Many will fall. Many will lose direction. Many will be deceived. Many will teach false doctrine. Many will ruin their lives. Because if you don't keep sound doctrine, you will not save it. That's why Paul says, keep the sound doctrine. It will not only save you, but it will save those who hear you. Dangerous. Dangerous to come to the place when you hear something you can't discern. It's dangerous to sit down at every meeting and hear what you hear, and not being able to say, hey, this is not the spirit of the gospel. Dangerous to sit down and swallow everything without dividing what is wrong and what is bad. What is of the spirit and what is of man. What is of the mind and what is of the heart. Dangerous. Not to be able to discern. That's why the author of the book of Hebrews says in the last verses of the chapter four. He says, if you are baby Christians and you are feeding on milk, you will not be able to discern between what is holy and what is unholy. What is right and what is wrong. And thousands of Christians are swallowing everything because they have no maturity and they don't carry even the spirit of the gospel and they can't discern what is of God and what is of man. And they take everything they have. Everything. And many of them just preach things to get you happy. Yeah. Let me read you a verse of scripture in the book of Galatians chapter four. You know, when the apostle Paul preached to the Galatians, he came and preached the message of the cross of Jesus Christ. And when he came to them, he had an infirmity in the flesh. He had an infirmity in his eye. And the Christians who never heard any other gospel than the gospel of the cross, were ready to identify their lives with Jesus Christ in his sufferings and in his death. And they were so excited about the Christian life, ready to give their lives, that they were ready to pluck out their eye and give it to the apostle Paul. Let's read it. Chapter four, verse thirteen. You know that because of physical infirmity, I preached the gospel to you at the first. And my trial which was in my flesh, you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Jesus Christ. What then was the blessing you enjoyed? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me. Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth? Do you understand that the Galatians had left the gospel? They had left the message of the cross. They were not ready to be persecuted for the gospel of the cross, for their identification to it. So they were deceived by some preachers who came and said, oh listen guys, it's not necessary to identify your life to Christ in his sufferings and in his death. You just be circumcised in the flesh and everything will be fine. They were deceived. These guys were not Jehovah witnesses. No, that's not the real problem of the church today. No, the problem of the church today is within Christians, preachers came and deceived the church of the Galatians. And you, let me tell you why, let me tell you why millions of Christians are sitting and hearing preachers who talk about false and deceiving teachings. Let me tell you why. I'll show you verse 17. They zealously caught you, not c-a-u-g-h-t, c-o-u-r-t. You know what it means? When a boy caught a young girl, she wants her for him. He wants her for him. He caught her and the apostle Paul declares that these preachers zealously, with all zeal, determination, caught the Christians of the church of the Galatians, but for no good. Yes, they want to exclude you that you may be zealous for them. That's why preachers today, many of them, many of them, promise you many things so that you may even listen to them the next time. Yeah, they want to get you, get you. I, I, I mean, I'm not shy to talk the truth. They want you. They want your money. They want your attention for them because you cannot talk about money every Sunday. You can't talk about material blessings every Sunday. You can't talk about the material promises of God every Sunday. It should come once in a while because the messages that we are called to preach is Jesus Christ and him crucified. Jesus Christ and him crucified. There's no blessing in there. There's suffering. There's death. There's the giving of your life. There's a denying of yourself. There's a loss of your life. There's everything that will scare you and it's the truth. There's everything that will scare you but the glory and the grace and the joy and the peace that comes with it, that comes with it. You can ruin your lives with material things but you will never be able to ruin and destroy your life with spiritual investment. Never. It will keep you with God. It will protect your life. It will secure you. That's what it will do but material things can only do one thing. Either if you are given to Jesus Christ, you will use it for the kingdom or it will destroy your life. That's what it does. Either or. I'm telling you the truth and the danger is to come to the place where you are not seeking for the right gospel. Where you are so happy and comfortable in what you hear. It doesn't challenge you. It doesn't confront you. It doesn't stop you where it needs to stop you. You keep going. You keep carrying on and you keep coming to church for the next blessing and you quote and you quote the book of Ephesians. I am blessed with spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus in heavenly places. Have you noted that these blessings are spiritual? Have you noted? I'm blessed with spiritual blessings. All spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus in heavenly places. We're living in very very dangerous time. What is the solution? Where is the solution? Well, you see preacher, you're talking about so many things. You're talking about the dangers but here I am. What I need to do? Give me a solution. That's all right. That's all. If you are sincere and you are honest with yourself and you are seeking for the life and for truth. Tell me. I'm going to tell you. Do you know that it's harder to uproot things than to plant things? Have you noticed that? You know you've got a tree that you have planted for about a couple of years or five years. You know it's got maybe your height and you say I'm going to uproot that stuff because my view is being, you know, I can't see well and you come, you know, as strong as you are with everything, all your tools and your thing and you start to dig that stuff and after five minutes you are sweating from everywhere and you say you damn thing. I'm finished with you. Stay there. It's hard to uproot but have you noticed that if you want to plant something you say give me some water and give me a little tool and you just grab something earth and you say put in there and you say bless you. And three weeks after, four weeks after, a little shoot somewhere, a new leaf, you say thank you Jesus. It's harder to uproot things in your heart than to plant but firstly you need to be ready to accept that God uproots what is not necessary in you and that was the call of the prophet and God said to him go, speak on my behalf, uproot, take away and then plant. We must be ready to accept that God uproots and not say, oh brother, you know, 15 years of my life I've been hearing the gospel and I'm blessed and, you know, difficult. It can be, I told you, it's difficult to uproot a tree and it costs you a breaking process from God to humble yourself and accept the truth and allow God to uproot the deceiving material that you have allowed in yourself. Even in your innocence, even you didn't know, even you didn't realize, even because you are a baby, it came to you and you swallowed it. You know, when you are a grown-up, someone comes with poison and tells you here you are, take it. You say, no sir, it's poison. But when you are a baby, you can't say it, you just swallow it and it kills you. But unfortunately, we are at the place today where Jesus Christ wants to restore truth. He said that he's been restoring the doctrine of faith, he's been restoring about baptism of the Holy Spirit, he's been restoring about apostolic ministry and prophetic ministry. That's fine, but we need to understand that everything that we have received from what God has been restored needs to stand on the true foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And you can't mix it and you can't compromise it and you can't dilute it. Jesus was ready to die but will never dilute it. The apostle says, am I going to be under your authority or under the authority of Christ? Are you going to stop me, say what I need to do? No, I'm not going to compromise the word of God. That's what you must be ready in your heart to accept. I'm not going to compromise and the more you hear the word of God in its fullness, the more you will see. That's why you look on your screen right now, you've got the address of the network, of our network and from that network you can feed yourself with all sorts of messages about the cross of Jesus Christ for your life. Read it right now, take the note, take the address, yeah and go and load messages. Listen to them, compare them to the message that you have been hearing for the last years, feed yourself with spiritual food. You say, but brother you know in my church I don't hear the message of the cross. But here you are on the network you can, you can download the messages and hear. Yeah plenty of them, many preachers, all of them born in the spirit of the gospel who live the right gospel, who preach it, who live it, who have a relationship between themselves. You will see that they preach the same gospel. Maybe the solution for you in your country, in your city, in your town is not now, now, now, now, but you still can pick up the right message for the time being, you can. And if you are sincere and ready to accept that there may be teachings that you have received, that God wants to uproot, be ready to allow the Lord to take it away. You see it's an attitude, it's an attitude. Don't close yourself, don't close your heart and I want to tell you that the message of the cross is not a new message. It's not something new, it's been there all the time. It's in the bible, it's what the early church lived, it's what the apostle preached, it's the apostolic doctrine, the apostolic message. And slowly but surely you shall get used to it, it will satisfy your spirit, it will be a a say food for your spirit and you will desire it more and more and you will keep unloading these messages and they will build up your life and you will see. I don't know the future, God knows the future, God knows ahead for your life, God knows you, God knows your desire, God sees the attitude of your heart, He knows everything about you and if you are sincere and you want to serve Him and you want to give Him your life, He will take care of you, He will direct you, He will put you in tune and in connection with those that He wants you to be connected with. God is not dead, Jesus is building His church and He's taking people here and there from every parts of the world who are ready to give up their lives and deny themselves and preach the message of the cross and no compromise. God is busy reaching out to men and women who are ready to pay the price. He is doing so at this time and moment and if you feel in your heart that God is calling you, don't sleep. The message of the cross is not new. Have you discovered that when you read the Bible and something becomes clear to you, you say well it's the first time I see that but it was not rewritten for you, it was already there but you never saw it but it's there, it is there. No one can pluck out one word of the Bible and make a new one, you see. That's why when God restores, He brings new light, He brings revelation, He opens our eyes to make us see. That's why the message of the cross is not new. It may be new for this time and hour for you but it's there. It's the message that the apostles and the church preached. It was a spirit of the gospel that every Christian carried in the early church. That's why they were persecuted for it. You can't be persecuted because you become rich. Can you be persecuted because you are seeking for material things? How can you be persecuted for that? The world is running the same race as you. You can't be persecuted for what the world does. You must be persecuted for what you do for Jesus. Absolutely. The church is making the cross of no avail, of no value for what the church is seeking for. We are seeking for things that make the church of Jesus Christ of no value. Paul says, do you think I am persecuted because I preach circumcision of the flesh? No, I'm not persecuted because I preach circumcision of the flesh. No, I am persecuted because of the cross, because I preach the message of the cross which is foolishness for all the wise people. Foolishness for intelligent people. It was foolishness for the Greeks. It was a scandal for the Greeks. You know why? At that time they were the intelligent people. Yeah. Can we make the cross of Jesus Christ of no avail? By living our Christian life comfortable and seeking for this, that, and the other. The Apostle Paul and the Apostle Peter and the Apostle James and all the apostles of the early church and even the Christians of the early church who walked by faith. They were not concerned about what we are hearing today. They were not concerned about money. They were not concerned about what they have or didn't have. They were helping those who were poor. They were making offerings in the churches that have to go and help those who didn't have. They didn't go to the churches and tell them you must be rich. No, they went to the churches that were, that had, and they take the money, the offering, and they brought to the people that were poor. Contrary to what we're doing today, we are trying to inject false teaching in the people. We are walking upside down. Yes. You've got money? Help those who are poor. Don't tell them they need to become millionaires. Help them. Help them. Take your money and give it to them. Instead of going out and preaching about, you know, you must apply this step, second step, third step, confess, do that, do this, do the other, and you will be rich. No. Take your savings account, empty it, and give it to them. Let me tell you, I'm not angry, but I'm convinced. I'm convinced. And God allows Christians to be poor to check your attitude, and to see what you are ready to do with your money. Yeah. But if you want to stick to your doctrine, you have the right to. You have the right to. If you've got itching ears, I urge you, stop scratching them. Open your spiritual ears, and listen to the message of the cross of Jesus Christ. Don't listen to those who are zealous for you, so that you may become zealous for them. If you preach the cross of Jesus Christ, you have one aim. To make people become zealous for God. For God. For Jesus Christ, who gave his life on that cross, and suffered, and shed his blood, and died, but rose again from the dead, and gave the victory to all those who are ready to declare that he is the son of God, risen from the dead, and those who are ready to pay the price to be a Christian, and to be a follower, and a disciple of Jesus Christ. No matter who you are, what you have, what you don't have, what is your color, where you come from, what is your nationality, I don't care, and Jesus Christ doesn't care. He died for us all, so that we might inherit the promise of Abraham. That means salvation. That's why Abraham became the father of many nations, the father of faith. Let us stay in the gospel. Let us remain in the gospel. Let us not open our barriers and our hearts to anything and everything and whosoever. Let us keep our hearts close to the gospel, and let us grow. Let us be enriched in the spirit, so that when we hear false and deceiving teachings, we will not give our hearts and lives to it. We will not. That's why we are called to mature. And in these last days, we'll be more and more called to stay close to this precious gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Amen? Hallelujah. Let us not be caught up with all that flow of all sorts of things that are happening. There's someone who rose up lately, and he says he's got the anointing. He's got the anointing to do this, that, and the other. And you know what people do? They go and fly to his church to receive the anointing, so that they may go back to their church and produce the anointing there. I tell you, where are we going? You want the anointing? I take it, sir. Go in your church. Do you want? Take, take, take, take, take. Where is the gospel? Why Jesus died for? Why, for, why? For us to take a, like a, how do you call that? No, no, no, like a magic thing. You know, it's a magic thing. We take the magic thing, and we go in our church, and we apply it. Where is our identification to Christ? Hallelujah. Okay, let everybody relax. Let us relax. I urge you to love me as I love you. If you have been shaken, if you have been a little bit disturbed, it's okay. Don't make a quick judgment. Don't make a quick criticism. Take the message, hear it again, and come to you, come to us again every Sunday evening at 9 30 p.m., and we will talk about Jesus Christ and Him crucified. May Jesus God bless you, and we'll see you next time.
