All right, the signs of Jesus coming and of the end of the world. Let's all stand together in honor of God's Word. It has been such a joy to be with y'all tonight. And you know why? I just want to say that before we get started. I haven't preached this message in a long time, but God just kind of put it on my heart early in the week to preach it. And I'm looking forward to preaching it. And we're looking forward to seeing you again. But I've got news for you. Brothers and sisters, if the next time we saw each other was gathered around the throne, I wouldn't be a bit surprised. And brother, I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. If the next time we saw each other was... So what we're going to do for Jesus, we better do it now. Amen? Because I believe time is short and death is sure. Eternity is long and Jesus is the cure for all your sins, all your problems. And so let's look at what the signs of Jesus' coming are at the end of the world. Matthew 24, verse 3. Jesus says, and it speaks of Jesus. And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the world? What shall be the sign of Your coming, Lord, and the end of the world? One of the many, many, many things I love about Jesus is when you ask Him a question, He gives you an answer. And He's going to answer your questions in that. Amen? Let's pray. Father, thank You for the Word of God. I pray, Father, that we would decrease so that You can increase tonight. I pray that You'd give me a holy anointing tonight. Just give me the utterance, the boldness, the power, the filling, and the anointing of Your precious Holy Spirit, God. I pray that, Lord Jesus, You'd speak through me, to me, God, to each and every one of us here tonight. Lord, we don't come here tonight to be challenged. We come here tonight to be changed. Lord, we need a word from the Lord. And I would pray in Jesus' name that, Lord, You would have Your will and Your way. God, I pray that souls would be saved, that lives would be changed, that the church would be edified, that You'd be glorified, and that hell would be terrified. Lord, we love You. We praise You. We thank You. In Jesus' name, amen. You may be seated. And of the end of the world. Amen? Now look at what Jesus says. First of all, He deals with some dangerous signs. Some dangerous signs. Matthew 24, verses 4-9. The Bible says, Jesus begins to answer their question from verse 3. He begins in verse 4, and He says, He said, And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you, for many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. Now, when the disciples asked Jesus, What will be the signs of Your coming at the end of the world? They didn't ask Him what day. They didn't ask Him what hour. And let me just say this right now, up front. Anybody, you ever hear anybody, and there have been people in the past, and are from time to time, they'll come along and say, they'll start setting dates and everything, about when Jesus is coming back. You run from them like they've got the plague. Because Jesus said, No man knows the day of the hour, not even the sun. It's been given unto the knowledge of the Father, and one day, bless God, God the Father is going to turn to God the Son, and say, Go get My children. Go get My children. But the Lord Jesus Christ does not even know the day of the hour. But, there are some signs, there are some things that we can look at, that will be able to tell us, what will take place right prior to His coming, and He deals with those signs right here. In the first one He says, that many shall come in His name, saying that they are Christ. I wonder why they never claim to be Buddha. Why don't they ever claim to be Muhammad? Did you know, never in the history of currency, counterfeit currency, has there ever been a counterfeit one dollar bill? Why would you counterfeit a one? For what? It doesn't have any value. The devil has nothing to gain by counterfeiting a counterfeit. Listen, Satan's big enemy, or big problem, his big jealousy, his big issue, has never been with Muhammad, has never been with Buddha, has never been with Confucius. It's always been with Jesus. He said, all the way back in the Old Testament, He said, I will exalt myself to be like the Most High God. There has never been but one that was like the Most High God. His name was Jesus. See, Satan has always been jealous of Jesus. Always from the beginning. During the Great Tribulation, there will be the unholy Trinity. There will be the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and Satan Incarnate. During the Great Tribulation, period. Listen, friend, Satan hates Jesus. But he wants to be just like Him. And in the last days, there are going to be many saying, I am Christ. Jack Ben-Iffey, who is probably one of the foremost theologians on the doctrine of eschatology, tells us there are over 1,000 people in our world today that claim to be Jesus Christ. Amen? Listen, friend, all the time you say, we are going to talk more about those false Christs in just a minute. We are going to move on right now. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. Heard of any rumors of wars lately? I don't know what I am hearing more about today. Wars or rumors of wars. And let me just ask you a question. What little country, what little nation, always, I don't care if it was 5 o'clock this morning when you turn on the news, 6 o'clock, the 8 o'clock, 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the noon news, 10 o'clock tonight, what little nation, and it ain't been just going on for a little while, it hasn't been going on since September 11, it's been going on since the beginning of time, what little nation, always is at the center of focus every time you turn on that television when you are talking about wars and rumors of wars. What little nation is it? When you take a globe, young people, let me tell you something. When you take a globe, you go to Walmart next time, you get you a globe, if you don't have one at home, you get you a globe this big, and you look for Israel on there, unless you know your geography real good, it's going to take you a while to find it. On a globe this large, when you find Israel, Israel is going to be about the size of Brother Jack's tip of my little finger. Now you stop and think about it. Why in the world? I mean, we're going to think about wars and rumors of wars since the beginning of time, and I mean, if there's going to be such an issue with a nation, if a nation was going to be such a big threat, I mean, we're going to be thinking about China. We're going to be thinking about Russia. We're going to be thinking about Europe. Amen? The Middle East. I mean, but Israel? The United States? Why Israel? What is it? Why has there always been an attack on Israel? Hey, buddy, it's simple. That's where the Messiah was born of a virgin 2,000 years ago. That's where the Messiah lived a perfect sinless life 33 years, not one wrong thought, not a motive, not an attitude, not a word, not a deed, nothing. His own enemies could find no fault in Him. That's where the Messiah died on an old rugged cross. That's where the Messiah rose from the grave, and that's where the Messiah ascended and went back to the Heavenly Father and according to Zechariah 14, verse 6, bless God, that's where the Messiah is going to come back and His nail-pierced feet are going to touch that same mountain He left from and it's going to split that mountain wide open and He's going to walk into Jerusalem in that eastern gate. This has been shut for hundreds and hundreds of years. I'm going to tell you something. Satan has always hated Israel, and one of the reasons that God has blessed America the way He has, we've always been an ally of Israel, brother. Always been an ally of Israel. And I'm going to tell you something. We better always stay an ally of Israel. Amen, America? Wars and rumors of wars. He said, See that you be not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet, for nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Now that word nation, you look up that word nation in a Greek dictionary. When Jesus stood there that day and said nation shall rise against nation, the literal Greek word that He said that left His lips was Ethneos shall rise against ethneos. E-T-H-N-I-O-S It's a Greek word. And the word ethneos is the word we get ethnic from. Ethnics shall rise against ethnics. And you stop and think about it. In our Middle East wars that are going on, what are they? They're ethnic wars. Have been since the beginning of time. All the way back to the Old Testament times. Listen friend, we're living in the last days. Jesus says, Ethnics shall rise against ethnics, and kingdom against kingdom. That word kingdom there is a better translation for a country like America against Russia or China or something like that. And then He goes on to say, And you shall hear of what? There shall be what? Famines. You can put Ethiopia right there. What else? Pestilence. You can put AIDS there. You can put encephalitis there. You can put anthrax there. You can put the West Nile virus there. You can put polio there. You can put, what's the latest one? SARS and the monkey pox. You've got to about laugh every time you say that one, although it isn't funny. There's going to be plagues. Pestilence. And what else? In diverse places. The word diverse is a word we get different from. Different, different places. I mean we think about the San Andreas Fault that goes around the world. I've been to Chile and the San Andreas Fault goes right down through the middle of Argentina and Chile. And we think about that fault. In fact, I experienced a tremor while I was there. And believe me, I don't know if you've ever been in an earthquake or a tremor or anything like that. When you get in one, when you get a good little dose of it, you won't want to be in another one. I can promise you one thing. There's no experience like it. We were in Chile several years ago and I was on a mission trip. And we'd go into these dirt huts and everything where these people lived. And inside the house, they would have wind chimes. Inside the house. And made out of these seashells because we were right there on the ocean where we were at. Made out of seashells inside the house. And I thought, what do you got wind chimes inside the house for? You know? I mean, that's an outside thing, isn't it? I said, oh, no, no, that's not for wind in here, Brother Jack. That's an earthquake detection device. When those shells start rattling, they know it's not because the wind's blowing. There's a whole lot of shaking going on outside and the biggest threat is the roofs falling in or gas lines bursting and causing fire so that it gets them out of the house. Earthquakes in diverse places. Ever since the 1800s, they've been able to measure major killer earthquakes, 6.5 and above. I did a study. I looked it up in the U.S. Geological Survey report out of Boulder, Colorado. You can check it out yourself. And I looked up earthquakes because you know what? Here's the way it works. If Jesus said there was going to be a lot of locusts or a lot of spaghetti falling from the sky, you know, if He had said there's going to be rainstorms or snow or something, you know what? I'd study that stuff. Why? Because Jesus said it. I've got news for you. He ain't told a lie yet. He didn't just tell the truth. He is the truth, John 14, 6 says. So when Jesus says something about earthquakes, you know what I want to know something about? I want to know something about earthquakes. So I did this study on earthquakes, and I printed it out for you. It might not mean much to you, but I thought it was interesting. You might not. Now, each one of these numbers we're looking at here are in 10-year increments. And they've been able to measure, like I say, the 6.5, what they call the killer earthquakes, ever since 1890. Look from 1890 to 99 worldwide. These are all worldwide. There was one major earthquake. One. All over the world, 10 years, one. From 1900 to 09, one more. Two in 20 years. From 10 to 19, there was three. From 20 to 29, there were two. From 30 to 39, there were five. In 50 years, there were 12 major earthquakes worldwide. Twelve. In 50 years. From 40 to 49, there were four. From 50 to 59, it jumped up to nine. Look right up here. You remember what the Bible says about the world is travailing in birth pains until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ? Remember what the Bible says about that? I'm going to tell you something. Our world is travailing in birth pains the same way a woman travails when she's getting ready to deliver a baby. There's birth pains. In fact, the birth pains when they come, they will come many times. There will be one birth pain and then there will be a longer period of time. And then there will be another birth pain and then a longer period of time. And then maybe two or three birth pains and then it will back off and then it will pick up a little bit. But right towards the end, bless God, right towards the end, those pains begin to come and to come and to come. It's easy for me to say, bless God, isn't it? Amen. I ain't having the baby. Amen. But right there towards the end, right there towards the end, the birth pains increase and increase and increase until finally that baby is delivered. The Bible says the earth is going through birth pains under the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Look what happens. In 49, there were four. In 59, there were nine. 60 to 69, there were 13. They're just increasing. From 70 to 79, there were 56. What a jump! Over an 80-year period of time. 56. And I looked at that. I thought, wait a minute. Now something's to this. When Jesus said something about earthquakes and He compared earthquakes to the second coming and I see that there were 56 earthquakes more than in the previous 80 years in one 10-year period, I know there's got to be something to it. You know what happened? And I'm old enough to remember it. Some of you are old enough to remember it. Something happened in our world in the 60s. Let me put it this way. Something happened to our world in the 60s. You remember. Some of you are old enough to remember. How many of you are old enough to remember? We've got a pretty young crowd here. Some of y'all are old enough to remember, brother. The sexual revolution. The drug revolution. The free sex. The God is dead movement. The music revolution. That's when all the New Age movement moved from the East right through America and moved around the world. All the Beatles. All the hellish music. And ungodly music. It just changed everything. Let me put it this way. There was a big change. Something happened. Something happened in our world that we have never gotten over. We have never gotten over it. There's a whole lot that I don't understand and won't understand until Jesus comes about what's going on. But I'm going to tell you something. When I look at things like this, it makes me go, hmm. I do a lot of that, hmm. A little of that from 80 to 89. There were 74. Now look at this. In 90 years, there were 168 major earthquakes worldwide. In 90 years. 168, do the math. Look at the last 10 years. 175. Now that might not mean anything to you, but you know I've got a feeling it's going to when Jesus comes back. I've got a feeling it's going to. You see, we're going to look at it at the end of this message. The very last event that's going to take place when Jesus comes back is this earth is going to burn, slap up. You know everywhere you find an earthquake, you know what else you find? A volcano. You've got it, son. You've got it right on the head. And I'm going to tell you something, friend. I'll tell you when it's revelation, and I'll tell you when it's speculation. Revelation is when it comes from this book. Speculation is when it comes from me. But I just speculate. I just speculate that somehow, some way, all this is tied in together, my brother, in those last moments, those last days, those last hours, of course, during that tribulation period, whoo, son, I'm going to be gone. I'm going to be on the first load out of here. Amen? Yes, sir, I ain't hanging around for no tribulation period, and I'll talk more about that in a minute. But that fire that's going to burn this world up, friend, somehow, I believe, speculate, is tied in with the earthquakes, the volcanic activity that will be taking place here on this planet Earth when God finally says enough is enough. Well, number two, not only dangerous signs, but there'll be deceiving signs. He goes on to say in verse 23-27 of the same chapter, Matthew chapter 24, Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here's Christ, or there, don't believe it. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Now, the first thing he says, you're going to see, he mentioned this false Christ twice. Up in verse 4 through 9, he mentioned there'll be false Christs, and then back down here at 23-27, he mentions these false Christs again. Now, there's a difference between a false Christ and a false prophet. A false Christ is a person who claims to be Jesus Christ. A false prophet is a false preacher. We're going to talk about him in a minute. But these false Christs rise up every once in a while. Any of you remember this one? I've got a picture of him right here. He was in Garland, Texas. They called him, they called him, he was from Taiwan, Han Ming Chin. They called him Master Chin. I call him Chin Man. I ain't going to call no man Master except my Lord and my Savior. Amen? They called him Chin. Master Chin. I call him Chin Man. But anyway, he was in Garland, Texas, and he and a bunch of his followers moved to Garland, Texas, where I was living at this time back in 1998, and he was prophesying that he was going to become Jesus Christ on April 1st. April Fool's Day. Oh, this was right after the big guy out in San Diego, Peter Apple, not Peter Apple. I'll think of it in a minute. Marshall Applewhite. Marshall Applewhite in San Diego with a gated community out in San Diego. Talked to all those people eating that Jell-O never going to follow around. Hail, but come it! My Lord God. Amazing that people will die for a lie and won't live for the truth. It is amazing to me. It's amazing to me. So anyway, Chin Man, he had told all his followers and all the media and everything if he didn't turn into God that he invited his followers to stone him to death and into his front yard. I mean, they bought off homes, brother. I'm talking about in a residential area, a pretty nice residential area in Garland, Texas. They bought up a bunch of houses. They bought up a half a block there. And if he didn't turn into Jesus, they could stone him to death. It says right here in this article in the Dallas Morning News that the Garland Police Department spent almost a half a million dollars, I believe it was. Get my figure straight here. Hold that, brother, so I can see. They spent several hundred thousand dollars on security watching this bunch of nuts. Well, April 1st came along and I was on my way over to a nursing home to see a man. I was going to cut his hair. He's gone home to be with Jesus now. He was in the nursing home there. And I'd been told, you can't even get through Garland, Brother Jack. I was in town then and not on a trip. And so I said, why? They said, oh, man, they've got everything blocked off in Garland, that bunch of nuts over there. They've got media and everything and security and everything. You can't get through Garland, Texas. So God really started speaking to my heart. Well, maybe I'm supposed to go there. So I drive up through there and sure enough, man, I mean, for blocks away, they've got police officers standing out there. And the only people that could go in to where this cult group was, was the media, police officers, this cult, and that's it, I think. Yeah. And if you lived there, residents of that area, because they had to prove that they lived there. Well, I pulled up through this barricade in my pickup, and this police officer just waved me on through. He didn't ask me a question or nothing. I said, well, this will work. Going a little further, and there was another barricade. Well, that cop thought because the last one waved me on through that I was okay, so he waved me on through. And I got up to another one and then he waved me on through. I went through three police officers and all of a sudden, I didn't even know where it was at down in there. I'm driving down this residential area. All of a sudden I could see, brother, listen to me, they had some 120 different television, radio, newspaper, media there covering this thing. People from all over the world. Because it was Taiwanese, they had people from Taiwan coming over and watching one of their partners making a fool out of themselves. And I mean, everybody's covering this thing because see, if you're turning into God, we ought to be walking on some water or something. Amen? We ought to be raising somebody from the dead or something. We ought to be pulling something off there if you're going to become God. So everybody's showing up. Well, it was all walking traffic after this one police officer. He was standing out there and nobody would even allow cars in there for the last block. I parked my truck, put my New Testament in my back pocket and walked up through there. I thought, well, all he can do is turn me away. I walked up to this police officer and he said, what's your name? I said, who are you? I said, my name's Jack Daniels. He said, oh really? He said, do you live here? I said, no sir. He could see obviously I wasn't a police officer, didn't have a press pass. He said, who are you? I said, I'm a gospel preacher and God is my witness. He did just like this. He grins. He said, come on in. He waved me on. I walked about as far as from here to the road out there to where they were all at. Oh, they had their meeting going on. And then this guy had this guy named Richard who was an interpreter. And he's interpreting for Master Chen and everything. So they're asking all these questions and everything. The last question that I'd heard him ask when I walked up was, he had said, he said, it's better than me turning into God. You're all gods. He said, if you don't believe it, God's my witness. He did just like this. God's my witness. Brother, I lost it. Because the meeting, they'll jump in and all that stuff. I pulled my New Testament out and turned it to Matthew chapter 24. And I just jumped in the middle of that deal. I hollered at Richard. I said, Richard, Richard, you tell Chen man this. And boy, I mean, when I said that, all the media, they turned their cameras over on me and everything. I said, you tell Chen man this, that Jesus said in Matthew chapter 24 that in the last days, there's going to be false Christ coming in the name of Jesus saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many. I said, you tell Chen man, he's a false prophet, false messiah. Buddy, when I did that, that shut down the interview. They all, but before that, Chen tells him, he puts this big billboard, I had all these little henchmen there, put this billboard right in front of me. And he told Richard to tell me, tell that man to read this. I said, no, mister, you tell him to read this. He had all his little Taiwanese writings on there. False Christ. False Christ. The media had a heyday with me. They said a Baptist preacher was on hand to shake his Bible at Mr. Chen and demand to know whether the Taiwanese preacher realized that he was a false prophet. Later, the Reverend Jack Daniels, a pastor at First Baptist Church in Sachse, Texas, had his own words of prophecy, which is a lie out of hell. I hadn't had my own words of prophecy. I had God's words of prophecy. There's your liberal media. Of course, they're going to mess everything up. He said his own words of prophecy, that people like this are a sign that we're living in the last days. And that part is correct. I don't care whether it's David Koresh, who it is. Friend, they're all around us. See, we just hear about the Chen's and David Koresh's and everything when there's a threat of suicide or something like this. But they're everywhere. Satan has always wanted to be Jesus. Always. And what he'll do, he'll raise up some nut like this to try to, I said try to, I said try to discredit the name of Jesus. I love what you said a while ago, brother. God hasn't called us to be attorneys. He just called us to be witnesses. Amen? You don't have to defend the Gospel. You just declare it. Amen? God's big enough to handle His own cases. What a Savior. Well, glory to God. There are going to be false Christs and false prophets. False preachers. And look at what it says here. And it shall show what? Great signs and what? Wonders. Signs and wonders. Turn your Bibles to Matthew 12. Matthew 12. Turn there real quickly. Matthew 12. These are false preachers. You say, preacher, you mean there's going to be there's preachers that are not saved? Woo! Turn on your TV. Yeah, baby. Look what Matthew 12 says. And look at verses, let's see, let's start about, well, I'll tell you it's too many. Here we go. Look at verse 38. Then a certain of the scribes and the Pharisees answered, saying, well, you see those guys showed up. You know it's going to be a mess every time. Saying, Master, we would see a sign from Thee. Listen to what Jesus said. Jesus said in verse 39, And he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a what? Sign. And there shall be no sign be given to it, what? That generation. But the sign of the prophet Jonah. Verse 40. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. You listen to me, you listen to me real good. We've got preachers on the airwaves today. And all they're talking about, signs and wonders. Signs and wonders. You listen to me. Signs and wonders, brother. Come to this miracles service. Signs and wonders. Signs and wonders. Jesus said it's a wicked generation that seeks after a sign. We're living in the last days. And Jesus said in Matthew 24, that many false prophets, that's false preachers, are going to show great signs. He didn't say just preach about them, brother. He said they're going to show. I've got news for you. Just because a preacher can even work a sign and miracle, don't mean he's of God. Do you hear what I'm saying? Satan is a great counterfeiter. Listen, I shared the other night. I was in the New Age movement for five years. I was a vegetarian for five years. So I thought I was going to go to heaven to carrot juice or something. I mean, get all healthy and everything. Listen, I've seen the devil do some pretty miraculous deals. I've got news for you, friend. He can't counterfeit this Word. Woo-hoo! Yes, sir! You better be careful. I said, church, you better be careful. I said, church, you better be careful who you're listening to. If His Word doesn't wake up to this, if all they're talking about is signs and wonders, I'm going to tell you the greatest sign, the greatest miracle that's ever been brought, brother. That's when the little old lost boy will come down the aisle saying, I want Jesus as my Savior. Yes, sir! The greatest miracle that's ever been brought when Jesus came into my heart and saved my old lost soul. I don't need to see no more signs or wonders except Jesus. Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so my Jesus was three days and three nights in the belly of the earth. All I need to see, brothers, is that empty tomb to know my Jesus lives. Amen? I don't need some false prophet to get up and start, Amen? You better be careful, church. You hear me? They're out there. They're running in bunches. Look at verse 3. There'll be doctrinal signs too. 2 Timothy 4, verse 1-7, Paul said this. He told Timothy, He said, I charge thee therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead in His appearing, In His what? In His appearing. He's talking about the second coming here. In His kingdom. What did he tell Timothy to do? What did he say to do? He said, preach the Word. Circle that word preach. We're going to come back to it in a minute. He said what? Preach the Word. The instant, In season, Out of season, Reprove, Rebuke, And exhort, With all long-suffering in doctrine. Let me tell you something the Word of God will do to you. It'll rebuke you and it'll exhort you. Amen? Now some folks, everybody likes that exhort. Oh, just preach on love, preacher. Don't talk about hell now. Just exhort, amen. Let me tell you what the Word of God will do. It'll comfort the afflicted and it'll afflict the comfortable. Yes, sir. It'll knock the bark off of you, my brother. You know what I need to do every day? I need to be rebuked and I need to be comforted with the Word of God. Why? Because I'm just like you. My old nature would like to get tacky and get offline if it could. So I need the Word of God. I love to see people get saved and didn't plan on it. That always blesses me. You see an old boy walking to service. He struts when he sits. I mean, he's doing God a favor just by showing up. You know. He sits down back there. And then right behind him walks in a little lady. Bless her heart. She's all depressed and discouraged. You can tell a lot of times about people's body language. She sits down next to him because she's married to Macho Meathead. In fact, the reason she's so depressed is she's married to him. You get up and you start preaching the Word. And something unusual happens. Same word preacher. He's getting rebuked and she's getting exhorted. Amen? In fact, she's exhorted because he's rebuked. He's hiding behind the sermon outline. I mean, he's like this. Son, she's got her hands in the air praising God. You give the invitation. And here he is bawling his eyes out, giving his life to Jesus. And she's praising the Lord. The Word of God will comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. Paul told Timothy, Preach the Word. Preach it, son. Shut the corn. Get the job done. He goes on to say, Be instantly set, reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come. Do you see that? And I say the time has come. When they will not endure sound doctrine. Hello? But after their own lust, shall they heap to themselves what? Say it again. Not preachers. Teachers. Teachers. They don't want preachers. Two different words in the Greek, brother. That word preach means to call to repentance through the bold preaching of God's Word. That word teach means to educate and inform. Two different words in the Greek. I've looked them up. He said the time is going to come when they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears. See, they need their ears boxed, but they want them scratched. Don't get in there with this nasty preacher. Right out here, just tell me what feels good. Just give me a little feel-good message. I'm okay. You're okay. Everybody be happy. I've got news for you, friend. That ain't going to turn our world around for God. Amen? And they shall heap to themselves teachers having itching ears. They want to hear what they want to hear. And they shall turn away their ears from the what? Truth. And shall be turned into what? Fables. You know what a fable is? A little storytelling. Let me tell you something, friend. Listen to me. Right now here in America, we've got churches all across America, you let a gospel preacher get up in the pulpit, my brother, and preach hell's hot, heaven's sweet, sin's black, judgment's sure, and Jesus saves, there will be some little cocktail set, some little bunch that likes to go to the boat, get together out there, and kick that gospel preacher out of the pulpit and bring him in some little sissy preacher's milk toast, mangy pansy, lint-wristed teacher in there, and he don't know, come on from, he don't know if he's washing or hanging out. But he's tickling their ears. Tell them what they want to hear. Yes, sir. He said the time was going to come when it was going to happen. I've got news for you. It's already here. It's already here, baby. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and all they want to hear is stories. You ever hear a preacher get up? He'll read one verse, maybe. I've seen preachers, brother, get in the pulpit and not even have a Bible, Brother Edwin. Not even have a Bible. I had a fellow call me here a while back, and he said, Brother Jack, pray for our pastor. He said, last several Sundays and for some time, he'll walk into the pulpit with an email in his hand. Something he got off the email, not even have a Bible in his hand. Turn away their ears from the truth. It's returned unto stories. There ain't nothing wrong with telling a story. There's nothing wrong with teaching. I believe in teaching. That's the reason we've got Sunday school. Amen? I'm going to tell you something. The ministry of this pulpit and the ministry of every pulpit across America and the church is not to teach the Word, but to preach the Word. Amen? All good preaching ought to have a little teaching in it. Ain't nothing wrong with a story. I'll tell you a story right now. I'll show you how you can get stories. This old preacher, young man, young preacher, he's going in view of a call. And the chairman of the pulpit committee asked him, he said, Son, you know your Bible pretty good? He said, Yeah, I feel like I know it pretty good. He said, Why don't you tell us a story about the prodigal son? He said, That would be fine. He said, Once there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus who went down to Jericho by night and he fell on stone to the ground and thorns choked him half to death. The next day Solomon and his wife Gomorrah, they come by and they got him and took him down to the ark where Moses could take care of him. But when he was entering in through the eastern gate, he got his hair caught in a limb and he hung there forty days and forty nights and afterwards he was hungry and the ravens fed him. The next day three wise men come by and took him down to the boat dock where he could take a ship down to Nineveh. When he got there, he looked up from the wall. He saw Jezebel. He said, Chunk her down, boys! Chunk her down! He said, They chunked her down and she burst asunder in the midst and they carried her up. Twelve baskets full. And then they asked, In the resurrection, whose wife should she be? Jericho public committee said, Stop! Stop! I've heard enough! This young man sure is young, but he sure knows his Bible. Look what the Bible says in 1 Timothy 4, verses 1-2. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly then of the what? Latter times. Some shall depart from the faith giving heed to what? Seducing spirits. And what else? Doctrines of devils speaking lies and hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron. Friend, I don't care whether you're talking about the Mormons, the Moonies, the morons, what bunch you're talking about, cults out there a hundred miles an hour, the Jehovah's false witnesses. You listen to me, friend. You listen to me when I tell you there's cults out there. Let me give you some names here. Listen to me, young people and adults. Some of you young people won't remember these names. David Koresh. Most of you remember that. Jim Jones and Guyana. Some of you older ones remember him. He was an ex-Baptist preacher that departed from the faith and gave heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Went to Guyana. Talked some 800 people into drinking of cyanide-laced Kool-Aid and committing suicide and told them, if you'll do it, we'll go after Nirvana, which is what he called a Hindu heaven. It's actually a biblical hell. Talked them into doing it. David Koresh, Jim Jones, Marshall Applewhite that I spoke about a while ago out in San Diego, California, behind that gator community, talked those people into eating that Jell-O and committing suicide. You can put Charles Manson in that bunch. You know what all these people had in common? They all called their follower, Father. Father. Father Jones. Jim Jones called him Father Jones. All of his followers called him Father Jones. David Koresh, all of his followers called him Father Koresh. He had all those women convinced, I will be the father of all the children that are born in this compound. Charles Manson was Father Manson. Marshall Applewhite in San Diego, California, he was affectionately called by his followers Father Doe. D-O-E. That's what they called him. Father Doe. You know what they all called each other? They all called each other family. It was the Jonestown family. It was the Manson family. It was the Koresh family. They all promised their followers a future. Every single one of them. And I could give you a list as long as you like of others that have not been as popular but have been as deadly. They all promised their followers a future. They said if you drink this Kool-Aid, you die in this fire in Waco, Texas, you die for this cause, this creed, this code, then you'll go off to wherever. Well, they actually ended up going to hell. Father, family, future. What's the biggest... Who's missing out of the average single parent family today in America? Where do you think gangs come from? So many of these young people out on the streets don't have a daddy around. And so some nut comes along and says, I'll be like a father to you. He's the head of the gang. I'll be like a father to you. And we'll be like a big old family. And if you'll be willing to lay down your life and die for us, we'll lay down our life and die for you. The gangs is what's happening. Father, what's the biggest breakdown today? Why is the number one message that I preached today, always requested, is the message that I preached last night on the family. Why? Because one out of every two marriages ends in divorce. Family. Why is suicide the number two killer among teenagers today in America? I'll tell you why. Because teenagers don't think they've got a future. They give up. Many of them are in public school systems that say they're not even a god. And so if there's not a god, and things get going bad enough, and I don't have to endure the pain, and I don't have a god that I have to stand before on judgment day, why don't I just take my life and blow my brains out? The number two killer is suicide. You know what I got when I got saved, brother. See, Satan's a counterfeiter. He'll pay off and paste pearls every single time. I got, bless God, a heavenly father. And guess what else I got? I got a big old family. And guess what else I got? I got a real, genuine, bona fide, promised, guaranteed future. Yes, sir. Listen, friend. We're living in the last days. If you're into Pokemon, Digimon, Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Harry Straight Outta Hell Potter, you're dancing with the devil, and you're going to get burned, honey. He studies all that. And I've got some good news for young people. There's a Christian alternative to all that junk out there now. It's called redemption cards. Redemption cards. You can buy them at Christian bookstores. And they have the little contest at the bookstores, the same way these hellish card collecting deals do, only it's for the Lord Jesus Christ. They've got angelic versus the evil. And God always wins. Amen. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. He always wins. He always wins. Man, the devil's after our kids. You listen to me. I'll say it again. There's parents buying their children Harry Potter. I went into a friend of mine's house the other day. He was showing me through his house. He had Harry Potter sheets on the bed of his son, little boy. I said, Brother, what are you doing here? Oh, you know, Jack, that ain't going to hurt nothing. But I said, Let me tell you something. I wouldn't have that on my property. The Bible says, Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Flee all appearance of evil. Amen. The Bible doesn't just say flee evil. That's right. I'm going to tell you, in these last days we live in, you better flee all appearance of evil. Why? Because Satan's a great counterfeit. Oh, yeah. Domestic signs, number five. Jesus said, But as in the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. The implication is this. Here, over and over, marrying and giving in marriage, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark. You can't be eligible for an Oscar anymore until you've been married about ten times. And divorced. And by the way, divorce is not the unpardonable sin. But I've got news for you. It's just a sign we're living in the last days. Satan's after our homes and families. Number six, there will be disobedient signs. 2 Timothy 3, verse 1-5. Paul said, This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves. Boy. You know, it's amazing to me. This book is 2,000 years old. And here we go. You know, I remember when there was a little bit of humility going around here in America. But I'm telling you, there was a deal out there for a while. It didn't ever really catch on big, and I sure am glad. But I saw on the back of some of these cars, some of these teenagers would have. And I watch what's going on in our world. Because I want to see. I match it up to what's going on in the Word of God. And there was a logo that said, It's all about me. Do you all remember seeing that for a while? It's all about me. It's all about me. We're living in the last days. Lovers of their own selves. What else? Covetous. Covetous. People buying things they don't need with money they don't have to impress people that they don't even like. People don't want to know how much it costs anymore. They want to know how much it's going to cost on their MasterCard. They don't have a lot of money. They've just got a lot of credit. Hello? Just how much can I charge it for? They don't believe in what the Bible says when it says, Oh, no, man, nothing except to love one another. Why? Because they want all the toys they can get in their yard. They got quiet on that one. Maybe I ought to pull over and park. Now, listen, there ain't nothing wrong with having nice things. But I'm going to tell you, when those nice things have you, you're being covetous. You're being covetous. Covetous. Stealing, thieving, whining. They're covetous. I got news for you. Listen. Today at Christmastown, an average home, you can't get enough toys to please that kid. And listen. And it's going to be a doorstop in two months, maybe by the end of the week. Why? Why? Because there's another Xbox coming out. There's another Nintendo. There's another stage of another video game. Amen. Why? Because we're raising a covetous generation. Why are we doing it? Because all we're doing is fulfilling prophecy. A hundred mile an hour. Amen. Why do you think the boat is such a big deal? What do you think the boat's about? I drove across the river today. Yeah, y'all got your boats. It's not most of y'all's fault. But they're over there. Amen. I'm going to tell you what that boat's full of. That boat is full of covetous people. You hear me? I know what I'm talking about. I done been there, done that, got the shirt. I had a barbershop before I got saved. In the back room, we had three rooms in the back of that barbershop. All it was, the barbershop was all it was was a front. We made good money off of it. Didn't need to because the back room had gambling out of one room, drugs out of the other, and gambling, drugs and prostitution. Three rooms. Out of the back of that thing. I saw a man lose. His whole business won that in one roll of the dice on a backgammon game. One roll of the dice. Lost his whole business. $70,000. One roll of the dice. He took the cube. The guy had to roll boxcars. And he rolled boxcars bigger in dollars. Lost a $70,000 business. One roll of the dice. You know why? Because they're covetous. You know, the Bible says we're supposed to learn how to be content. We had to get a deal for our television called TV Guardian just so we could watch regular TV. Not the R-rated movies. Just regular TV. Hello? Blasphemers. I'll never forget when I was a kid. I remember when Gone with the Wind come out. I was a little. Gone with the Wind come out. It was controversial. You know why? Because at the end of that movie, Rhett Butler said that word. Everybody was talking about that word. Well, I wanted to go see it because I wanted to hear Rhett Butler say that word. My mom and my daddy wouldn't let me go see it. You ain't going to go see that. Of course, they were saying worse than that around the house every day. But they wouldn't let me go see that. Oh, I snuck in the movie. Why? Because I wanted to hit Rhett Butler. He wasn't supposed to go see it. I wanted to see it. It was Lost Ball and High Weeds. I went in there. It was the longest movie. I wasn't even big enough to know that much about girls. I hadn't gotten that much keyed in on the girls yet. All that kissing and going on. Man, I thought, good grief. I waited until the last scene because I knew that's where it was. Rhett Butler was going to say that word. This is my generation. It finally got to the end. Rhett Butler had scarlet hair there. He said, frankly, my darling, I don't give a rip. He didn't say a rip. Do you know what the whole congregation, the whole auditorium did? They gashed. I've heard preachers say worse, brother. Why? We're living in the last days. We're living in the last days. Blasphemers. Disobedient to parents. I promise you right now, you can't turn on television during the daytime without finding at least one program, one of those panel deals, Maury or Jerry or Vicky or some of them, that's got a panel of teenagers on there. Sometimes 12, 11 and 12, 13-year-old girls that are on there. And they're sitting over here, and their mamas are sitting over here, shaking, trembling, scared to death of their daughter. Scared to death to go to sleep in the same room, in the same house with that daughter, because they're afraid that daughter is going to kill them one night. You see it every day. I've got news for you. That happened just recently. When I say recently, it's just the last few years. Are you all out there? And then they bring a drill sergeant out there. And I've got news for you. I don't blame the kids as much as I blame the parents. Because I'm going to tell you something. That baby girl didn't get that way overnight. But the bottom line is, they're disobedient to their parents. The Bible says in the last days, they'll be disobedient to their parents. And they'll bring some drill sergeant out there, and he's supposed to straighten out in two weeks. But mom and daddy's messed up in 13 years. Forget it, friend. That old dog won't hunt. Disobedient to parents. Unthankful. Unholy. Without natural affection. Hello? You can't turn on a TV program today without being a homosexual on there. Hello? Are you all out there? I'd warn you that, but it wasn't last night, friend. I mean, if you turn on a TV program, there's going to be a homosexual on almost every single one of them. Without natural affection. There's nothing natural about it. I said it before the other night, young people. I'll say it again. God didn't create Adam and Steve. He created Adam and Eve. And thank God for the difference. Amen? Straight out of the pit of hell. Truce breakers. You don't want another one of the big TV shows? I think it's interesting what's going on in our world. Because I look at what's going on on national television every day, and I look at the Bible when it says this kind of stuff is going to take place, and I look up and lift up my eyes for my redemption. God, nah. Truce breakers. You know one of the biggest TV programs going on today on daytime television? Court TV, honey. I turned on the television today. At one time, right here, local stations, there were three different court TV programs going on. Why do you reckon that is? Because I'm going to tell you why. Nobody's word is worth a flip no more. Son, I remember when my daddy, I'm going to tell you when my daddy shook hands with you, buddy, you could take it to the bank. My daddy wasn't even saved. But buddy, you can believe me when I tell you, when he said he was going to do something, it was going to happen. Truce breakers. It's not what your word means anymore. It's not even how good a piece of paper you've got. It's how good a law you've got. You'd get by with murder today if you've got enough money. You see it happen all the time. False accusers, incontinent, fierce. Look at the next one. Despisers of those that are good. Explain that to me. Now you can understand somebody despising somebody that was bad. Can't you? Somebody says, well, I despise those murders. I despise those child molesters and everything. I'll go right along with you. I despise that. I don't despise the person. I despise that sin. But why would somebody despise somebody that's good? Read it again. Despisers of those that are good. Why in the world would somebody despise somebody that was good? I got to thinking about that. Do you know one of the most hated groups of people today in America are Bible-believing, fundamental, Bible-believing, evangelistic, sold-out children of God? Did you know that? Did you know there's a liberal society out there, the brother that hates you and me, despises us, intolerant. Yeah, they call us intolerant because we don't tolerate what God says is an abomination. Man despises those that are good. It's not going to get any better. It's going to get rougher before Jesus comes. Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. Amen? Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof from such turn away. Well, number seven, doubter signs. Doubter signs. I always like this one. Because whenever I preach this message, there's always a few of them sitting out there. Oh, Brother Jack, now come on now. You know, you don't believe all that, do you? Woo, son. Do I believe it, honey? Yes, sir. Let me tell you something. Did you know every time, for every one time that the Bible prophesied that Jesus was coming the first time, did you know there are eight times as many prophecies He's coming again? Huh? I'll say that again. That's good. For every one time the Bible prophesied that Jesus would come the first time, there are eight times as many prophecies that He's coming again. So that begs the question, did He come the first time? Hello? Every time a Muslim, every time a Buddhist signs a checkbook and puts down June, what is it? Left. You know what he's acknowledging? That Jesus came. Thank you, Brother. Every time he takes his checkbook, every time, bless God, he looks in his calendar, he says, Jesus came. Well, buddy, I've got news for you. Look at here what Peter says here in 2 Peter 3, verse 54. Knowing this first, that there shall come in the what? Last days. What last days? Right before the end, son. And then they're going to say, for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were. People say, my granddaddy used to tell that stuff. My granny. Oh, really? Long time ago, huh? Let me tell you what happened in 1947 when Israel become a nation again. I'm going to tell you something. Things began to pick up, and that's been in my generation right here. We haven't got time to deal with all that. Then he goes on to say, 2 Peter 3, verse 8 through 10, But, beloved, be ye not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years. Amen? See, your calendar and God's calendar is a different calendar. And a thousand years is one day. Now, I'm going to ask you something. How long has Jesus been gone? Two days. And you do know what happened on the third day. Listen, friend, he's about to come. Just buckle your pew bell. You better get right for the flight. Amen? The Lord is not slack concerning His promise. And some men count slackness. But it's long-suffering to us. Here it is. Here's why He hasn't come back yet. Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. You know what's going to happen one day, Brother Todd? The last person that's going to be saved on this earth is going to get saved. And that trumpet's going to blow, Brother, and we're going to be out of here. And I can show you from John 10 what Jesus is going to shout when He comes. See, 1 Thessalonians 4, verse 16 to 18, it says, For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, the trump of God. And the dead Christ shall rise first. And then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with Him in the clouds to meet the Lord in there. So shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words. Now, I'm going to tell you, Jesus is going to shout when He comes back. And I can tell you from John 10 what He's going to shout. He's going to shout our name. Because the Bible says, in John 10, He goes before His sheep and He calls His own sheep out by name. That's what it says. Do your Bible study, son. It's as simple as... What else would He shout? Amen? Well, Brother Jack, that's a lot of Christians. That's a lot of names. Hey, that's one of the reasons we call Him God. Amen? He can do that. You see, all of God's children have a what? You know what the devil's children got? A number. They don't have a name. In fact, the Bible says that Satan doesn't even have enough respect for you to give you a different number than everybody else. He gives everybody the same stinking number. And it is 666. You see, when Jesus comes back, either your name will be called or your number will be up. Amen? Let me tell you how ignorant Satan is. He don't even have the keys to his own house. Woo! He's not willing that any of you should perish, but all of you should come to Him. And by the way, if you're that last person that's going to get saved, would you do us a favor? He never had spent the night away from home before. He was from a loving home and family and everything. Well, the house he went to, it wasn't that loving. I mean, Daddy and Mama were fighting like cats and dogs. The kids were pulling hair. And there was teeth, hair, and eyeballs everywhere. Man, I mean, it was ugly around there. And so all of a sudden, he got over in the corner and he was just all huddled up over there. And the madam, the mama there, looked over and saw little Johnny. She said, Oh, Johnny, we haven't been paying attention to you. You know, you're sitting over here. You're first night away from home and all. And I'm sure you're homesick, aren't you, Johnny? Johnny said, No, ma'am, I'm here sick. Amen? I get a little here sick every once in a while. Amen? Amen. He said, The Lord's not willing that any of you should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But I like this next part. Look what it says. But the day of the Lord will come. I want everybody to say that with me. But the day of the Lord will come. Let's say it again. But the day of the Lord will come. One more time. But the day of the Lord will come. Son, you can put your money on it. Amen. Son, He's coming. He's coming. Ready or not. How's He coming? Like a thief in the night. Let me tell you something about a thief. A thief don't call you at 11 and say, I'm coming at 12. Amen? And He don't come for junk. He comes for jewels. Like a thief in the night. In which the heavens shall pass away with a what? Great noise. Now listen to me, Christian. This is going to be after we're gone. This is after the rapture, this part right here. This is the end of the world here. This is when the final hurrah right here. Amen? When God annihilates the world and the Bible says we'll be in heaven. Bless God with Jesus when this takes place. Our world is. That's a scientific fact. It's getting hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter. And you know what one day is going to happen? It's going to get so hot it's going to burn up, brother. Some people try to say, Well, it's going to be because of the wars. No, no, no, no. Ah, ah, ah. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. There ain't going to be a doubt in nobody's mind where that fire come from. There ain't going to be a doubt in nobody's mind. God Almighty is going to burn this world up. And then there's going to be a new heaven. Woo! And a newer! Son, I'm coming back. And all those of us who are saved, brother, we're coming back too. We're going to be here a thousand years. I've seen enough evidence that demands a verdict to convince me that God is real and Jesus is who He said He was and that I want to trust Him as my Savior. And you need to hot-foot it right on down here. Make haste and come down and trust Jesus as your Savior because I've got news for you. One of these days and one of these days real soon, He's coming back with a shout and He's going to call us all home by name. And if your name's not going to be called, your number will be up and you will be left here for seven years of hell on planet earth. And don't tell me you'll get saved during the tribulation. But I'm going to promise you one thing, honey. If you won't come down this aisle and give your life to Jesus when it won't cost you nothing, don't tell me you'll give your life to Jesus when it's going to cost you getting your head lopped off. You know when I please a person ought to get saved? The minute they realize they're lost, brother. It don't always work that way, but tonight, if you would like to have, listen to me. And by the way, getting saved is not just about getting to heaven. Getting saved is about having eternal life right now. Listen, I'm not going to have eternal life. I'm having it right now. Look at this. Amen. I'm having it right now. I'm having a good time going. I'm not waiting for pie in the sky. I'm going to have myself in a lawn mower on the road. Amen. It's fun being saved. So listen, here's the wonderful thing about being a Christian. It's not just what God's going to do for you in the sweet by and by. It's in the nasty now and now too. Amen. You hear people say all the time, well, I don't know what I would do if the Lord hadn't been with me in that deal. Amen. Listen, friend. God be with you now. And on that day that your heart beats its last, young lady. Sir, on that day that you have that massive heart. I wonder how many people in this room you'll bury before this year is up, brother. Very possibly some. Listen to me, teenagers. I've buried teenagers. On that day that your heart beats its last. On that day that you die and before the undertaker even knows you're dead. And that day when you give up the ghost, you have a stroke. Whatever it is. God forbid, I pray everybody in here live a long, prosperous life, but the bottom line is 70% of the people die, die with their work clothes on, not their hospital pajamas. 3,000 people die September 11th. Had no idea they were going to die that day. I've got news for you. There's a whole lot more of that worldwide that die every day. Every day. Every day. So get ready to meet Jesus. Amen. Only one life will soon be passed. Only what you do with Jesus is going to last. The only regret I have, brother, about my salvation is that I didn't get saved at a younger age. Now I've got news for you. You can't unscramble eggs. You can't undo the past. But I guarantee you what you can do. You can say, by the grace of God, I'll give my life to Jesus today, and to the day I die, I'm going to live for Him. Why? Because He died for me. He died for me. Let's pray. Father, thank You for the Word of God. Thank You for the Spirit of God. Thank You for the Son of God. I pray right now in Jesus' name, Lord, that You'd bind Satan away from this invitation. Lord, I pray if there's any Christians here tonight who've got some sin in their life and they wouldn't be able to meet Jesus in confidence, not being ashamed. If Jesus was to come back tonight, something in their house, something in their habits, something in their home, something in their heart that's not right with You, some bitterness, some anger, some resenting, that they're just not ready to meet You in confidence, not being ashamed. God, I pray that tonight they'd come to this altar and do business with You. I pray even now that they would. Lord, I pray for lost people here tonight. They don't know where they'd go if they was to die. Oh, Lord, help them to see that eternity is too long to be wrong. Too long to be wrong. That once their heart beats, it's last. Once You come back and take us out of here, it's going to be too late. Lord, that they need to come and receive You tonight before it's ever lastly too late. Thank You, Lord, for Your presence. Thank You for Your power. With heads bowed and eyes closed.
