Psalms 93 Psa 93:5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever. Psalms 93:5 — “holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever” – Word Study on “becometh” - Strong says the Hebrew word “becometh” (πָ ?ΰָ ?δ) (H4998) means, “to be pleasant (suitable), beautiful, comely.” Holladay tells us that some believe (πָ ?ΰָ ?δ) is the Niphal of (ΰָ ?εָ ?δ) (H183), meaning, “to desire, be desirable, long, lust.” The RSV, NASB read, “It befits (is proper, suitable, becoming to).” The NIV reads, “It adorns.”Scripture Reference - Note: 1 Corinthians 3:17, “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”
