Matthew 28

DarbyNotes

1:11 away (a-14) In those days conquerors transported conquered nations to distant seats, and replaced them by others, that national feeling might not subsist, but dependence be complete. ‘Carrying away’ is feeble for this, but I know no other word.

Matthew 28:1

28:1 sabbath, (e-15) Or ’the first day of the week,’ as Mark 16:2 .

Matthew 28:17

28:17 doubted. (a-13) Or ‘were at a loss [what to think],’ ‘hesitated.’

Matthew 28:19

28:19 [therefore] (b-2) The word ’therefore’ has very doubtful authority.
