1.81. APPROACHING THE THRONE
APPROACHING THE THRONE
I began to see the importance of and the need for prophets in today’s world as well as in biblical times. I began to see the importance of all of the fivefold ministries spoken of in Ephesians: And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
(Ephesians 4:11-12) I saw how important each is in the body of Christ. The Bible tells us that we can "come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16). The Word assures us that we have "bold ness to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus" (Hebrews 10:19), because "according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission" (Hebrews 9:22). Friends, I can attest that this is true. It is the blood of Jesus Christ that makes atonement for the soul. His Word and His blood work together in grace.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
(Hebrews 4:16)
