Philippians 2:29
Timothy and Epaphroditus
28Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may rejoice, and I may be less anxious.29Welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor men like him,30because he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up for your deficit of service to me.

Geneva Bible 1599

King James (Authorized) Version
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
Plain English Version
Epafroditus belongs to our leader, Jesus, just like you do. You couldn’t come and help me a while ago, so he came instead of you. And then he nearly died. But he didn’t worry. He knew he was working for Jesus Christ while he was helping me, and he was ready to die for Jesus. You have to really respect people like Epafroditus. So when he comes back to you, be happy and say, “Good to see you again. You are our good Christian friend.”
Translation for Translators
Welcome him very joyfully just like believers in our Lord Jesus should welcome one another. While he was working for Christ, he was helping me in place of you because you were far away. He knew that he might die as a result of helping me, and truly he nearly did die. So honor him, and honor all those who are like him.
Unlocked Literal Bible
Welcome Epaphroditus in the Lord with all joy. Honor people like him.

World English Bible

Young's Literal Translation
receive him, therefore, in the Lord, with all joy, and hold such in honour,
