Context — Judgment on Egypt
25The LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I am about to punish Amon god of Thebes, along with Pharaoh, Egypt with her gods and kings, and those who trust in Pharaoh.
26I will deliver them into the hands of those who seek their lives—of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. But after this, Egypt will be inhabited as in days of old, declares the LORD. 27But you, O Jacob My servant, do not be afraid, and do not be dismayed, O Israel. For I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their captivity! Jacob will return to quiet and ease, with no one to make him afraid.Cross References

Jeremiah 46:25 Summary
This verse is saying that God is going to punish the false god Amon and the leader of Egypt, Pharaoh, because they have led people away from the one true God, as seen in Exodus 20:3-5 and Deuteronomy 6:14-15. God is showing His power and authority over all things, including the false idols that people trust in, as stated in Isaiah 45:5-7. This reminds us that we should only trust in the one true God, who is all-powerful and loving, as seen in Psalm 115:1-8 and Jeremiah 31:3. By trusting in Him, we can have confidence and hope, even in difficult times, as promised in Psalm 23:4 and Romans 8:28.
