Jeremiah 35:4 Summary
Jeremiah 35:4 tells us that Jeremiah brought the Rechabites to a special room in the temple, near the room of the officials and the doorkeeper. This room belonged to the sons of Hanan, a man of God. The temple was an important place where people went to worship and meet with God, as seen in Psalm 84:1-4. Jeremiah's actions in this verse show us that he was trying to follow God's instructions and create an opportunity for the Rechabites to respond to God's message, just like God instructed him to do in Jeremiah 1:7-10.
