Psalms 145
BSA1 I will exalt [glorify, lift up] You, my God [Eloah, the one true deity] and King [the sovereign ruler]; I will bless [praise, honor] Your name [Your identity, character] forever [for all eternity] and ever [perpetually, without end]. word study 2 Every [each, all] day [a 24-hour period or a figurative space of time] I will bless [praise, honor, kneel in worship] You, and I will praise [celebrate, extol] Your name [identity, honor, character] forever and ever [eternally, without end]. word study 3 Great [exceedingly majestic] is the LORD [Yehovah, the self-existent God] and greatly [very much, exceedingly] to be praised [celebrated, worshiped]; His greatness [divine magnitude, mighty acts] is unsearchable [incomprehensible, beyond human understanding]. word study 4 One [successive, from father to son] generation [period of time, group of people] will commend [praise, laud, soothe] Your works [deeds, actions, mighty acts] to the next, and will proclaim [tell, declare, stand boldly] Your mighty [powerful, strong, brave] acts [mighty deeds, great works]— word study 5 the glorious [majestic, honorable] splendor [beauty, majesty] of Your [honor, majestic] majesty [glory, excellence]. And I will meditate [think deeply, muse] on Your [wonderful, amazing] wondrous [miraculous, marvelous] works [deeds, accomplishments]. word study 6 They will proclaim the power [strength, might] of Your awesome [fearful, terrible] deeds, and I will declare [speak of, recount] Your greatness [dignity, majesty]. word study 7 They will extol [abundantly utter, proclaim] the fame [memorial, remembrance] of Your abundant [great, tremendous] goodness [beauty, gladness] and sing [utter, shout] joyfully [with triumph, celebration] of Your righteousness [justice, virtue, morality]. word study 8 The LORD [Yehovah, the covenant God] is gracious [full of mercy and pity] and compassionate [merciful, showing kindness], slow [patient and longsuffering] to anger [indicating emotion] and abounding [great and abundant] in loving devotion [kindness and lovingkindness, faithful love]. word study 9 The LORD [Yehovah, the covenant God] is good [beneficent, full of kindness] to all [everything, every person]; His compassion [tender mercies, deep love] rests [abides, remains] on all [every creature, everything] He has made [created, brought into being]. word study 10 All [everything, the entirety of creation] You have made [created, brought into existence] will give You thanks [praise, confess], O [Yehovah, covenant-keeping] LORD [Yehovah], and Your [faithful, pious] saints [holy ones, set apart] will bless [praise, honor] You. word study 11 They will tell [speak of, proclaim] of the glory [great honor, splendor] of Your kingdom [royal power, dominion] and speak [talk, communicate] of Your might [strength, power, bravery], word study 12 to make known [declare, reveal] to men [the sons of men, humanity] Your mighty acts [strength, power, glorious deeds] and the glorious [glorious majesty, honor] splendor [beauty, majesty] of Your kingdom [royal power, dominion, reign]. word study 13 Your kingdom [an eternal, royal power] is an everlasting [forever, always] kingdom, and Your dominion [having control, royal authority] endures [remains, lasts] through all [every, entire] generations [a period of time, a group of people]. The LORD [Yehovah, the supreme God] is faithful [trustworthy, reliable] in all His words [promises, declarations] and kind [merciful, loving] in all His actions [deeds, works]. word study 14 The LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] upholds all [everything, every person] who fall [to fall down, fail, or be defeated] and lifts up [raises, revives, comforts] all [every person, everything] who are bowed down [bent, curved, as a sign of respect or worship, crushed]. word study 15 The eyes [sources of expectation] of all [every creature, everything] look [wait with anticipation, inspect with hope] to You [toward Your provision], and You [as the faithful Provider] give [bestow, set forth] them their food [sustenance, nourishment] in [at, during] season [due time, appointed moment]. word study 16 You open [with generosity and power] Your hand [an open hand; strength, a side or share] and satisfy [fill to the full, meet the needs of] the desire [acceptance and delight] of every [all, everything] living thing [creature, being]. word study 17 The LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] is righteous [just, having God’s nature] in all [every, everything] His ways [paths, manner of action] and kind [gracious, holy] in all [every, everything] His deeds [actions, works]. word study 18 The LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] is near [close, adjacent] to all [everything, every person] who call [cry out, invoke] on Him, to all [everyone, each one] who call [invoke, petition] out to Him in [with, characterized by] truth [faithfulness, integrity]. word study 19 He fulfills [satisfies, gives what is needed to] the desires [acceptance, delight] of those who fear [reverence, are afraid of] Him; He hears [listens to, gives attention to] their cry [a loud call for help, desperate plea] and saves [rescues, delivers from danger] them. word study 20 The LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] preserves [keeps, watches over, protects] all [everything, every person] who love [have affection for, are devoted to] Him, but all [every one, everything] the wicked [morally wrong, sinful, guilty] He will destroy [annihilate, desolate, bring to an end]. word study 21 My mouth [lip, edge of speech] will declare [speak, communicate] the praise [a song of praise] of the LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God]; let every creature [all flesh, living things] bless [honor, praise] His holy [set-apart, sacred] name [identity, character] forever [to the age, eternity] and ever [perpetuity, without end]. word study
