15 Bible Verses on Wonderfully Made

15 verses

In the depths of God's love, humanity is affirmed as a unique and precious creation. The Psalmist declares that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, a testament to God's intimate involvement in our formation, as seen in Psalms 139:13-14. Before birth, God knows and ordains our lives, as Jeremiah 1:5 reveals, and our lives are shaped by His purpose. According to Ephesians 2:10, we are created in Christ Jesus for good works, demonstrating God's intention for our lives to reflect His glory and goodness, as beautifully expressed in Psalms 139:14.

I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.
For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all my days were written in Your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are the potter; we are all the work of Your hand.
O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You understand my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down; You are aware of all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, You know all about it, O LORD. You hem me in behind and before; You have laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go to escape Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle by the farthest sea, even there Your hand will guide me; Your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light become night around me”— even the darkness is not dark to You, but the night shines like the day, for darkness is as light to You. How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God, how vast is their sum! If I were to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand; and when I awake, I am still with You. O God, that You would slay the wicked— away from me, you bloodthirsty men— who speak of You deceitfully; Your enemies take Your name in vain. Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD, and detest those who rise against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them as my enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the way everlasting.
The word of the LORD came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will remain—so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.
Listen to Me, O islands; pay attention, O distant peoples: The LORD called Me from the womb; from the body of My mother He named Me.
Did not He who made me in the womb also make them? Did not the same One form us in the womb?
Children are indeed a heritage from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is His reward.
