The Euphrates River holds significant importance in biblical history and prophecy, flowing from its source in the Garden of Eden, as described in Genesis, where it is one of the four rivers that watered the garden. In Genesis, God also promises Abraham that his descendants will inherit the land from the Nile to the Euphrates.
