12 Bible Verses on Seeking Gods Will

12 verses

In the pursuit of a deeper relationship with God, believers are called to seek His will above all else. According to Matthew 6:33, this involves prioritizing the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that all other needs will be met. The apostle Paul urges believers to present themselves as living sacrifices, renewing their minds to discern God's good and perfect will, as outlined in Romans 12:1-2. Jesus Himself modeled this surrender, praying in Matthew 26:39 that God's will be done, even in the face of great personal cost, and trusting that all things work together for good, as Romans 8:28 promises.

And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
