6 Bible Verses on Promised Land

6 verses

God's covenant with Abraham marked the beginning of a long-standing promise to give his descendants a specific territory, which would become a place of blessing and worship. In Genesis, the Lord appears to Abraham, promising to give him the land of Canaan, and later, in Exodus, God reaffirms this pledge, swearing to give the land to the Israelites. As recorded in Joshua, the Israelites eventually inherit this land, fulfilling God's promise to Abraham. The book of Genesis provides the initial context for this promise, with key passages in Genesis 12 and 15 outlining the boundaries and significance of the land.
