18 Bible Verses on Praying Out Loud

18 verses

In Scripture, spoken prayer is an integral part of a believer's communication with God. Jesus teaches His disciples to pray in secret, yet also to pray out loud with sincerity, as seen in Matthew 6:5-6. The apostle Paul notes that the Spirit helps us in our weakness, interceding for us with groans that words cannot express, as mentioned in Romans 8:26. Additionally, Jesus emphasizes the importance of faith and speaking our prayers, as recorded in Mark 11:22-25, highlighting the power of spoken prayer in agreement with God's will.

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words.
Otherwise, if you speak a blessing in spirit, how can someone who is uninstructed say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?
“Have faith in God,” Jesus said to them. “Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand to pray, if you hold anything against another, forgive it, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your trespasses as well. ”

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
Is any one of you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises.
Mark 1:35
Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and slipped out to a solitary place to pray.
Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart:
I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift my voice to the LORD for mercy.
And when you stand to pray, if you hold anything against another, forgive it, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your trespasses as well. ”
that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial passes away. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside childish ways. Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.
Hannah was praying in her heart, and though her lips were moving, her voice could not be heard. So Eli thought she was drunk
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect,
And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it.
