20 Bible Verses on Pestilence

20 verses

Throughout the Bible, devastating diseases and widespread illnesses are often seen as a form of divine judgment or a consequence of sin. In Psalms 91, God's protection from pestilence is promised to those who trust in Him, while in Luke 21, Jesus foretells of pestilences as a sign of the end times. The Old Testament records instances of pestilence as a punishment, such as in 1 Kings and Ezekiel, where it is sent as a judgment on disobedient nations. Additionally, Exodus recounts the plague of pestilence that God sent upon Egypt, highlighting the importance of obedience to God's will.
