The Bible teaches that God created the heavens and the earth, and all that is in them, as stated in Genesis 1:1. While Scripture does not directly address the existence of life on other planets, it does affirm that the earth was formed by God to be inhabited, as seen in Isaiah 45:18. The Psalmist notes that the heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth He has given to humanity, as stated in Psalms 115:16. The focus of God's redemptive work is on humanity, as Jesus speaks of having other sheep not of this fold in John 10:14-18, and the ultimate destiny of believers is a new heaven and a new earth, as described in Revelation 21:1.

For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens—He is God; He formed the earth and fashioned it; He established it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.
I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock and one shepherd. The reason the Father loves Me is that I lay down My life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from My Father.”
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
But in keeping with God’s promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
