5 Bible Verses on Insecure

5 verses

In times of uncertainty, believers are reminded to cast their anxieties on God, who cares for them deeply. As taught in Matthew 6:25, worrying about worldly concerns can be a hindrance to trusting in God's provision. The apostle Paul encourages the Philippians to present their requests to God with thanksgiving, promising that His peace will guard their hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6-7). Furthermore, 1 Peter 5:7 assures believers that they can confidently cast all their anxieties on God, who cares for them. By surrendering their insecurities to God, believers can find rest and peace, as promised in Matthew 11:28.

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
“Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything. “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food,” but God will destroy them both. The body is not intended for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By His power God raised the Lord from the dead, and He will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Or don’t you know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
