18 Bible Verses on Giving to Others in Need

18 verses

Scripture emphasizes the importance of generosity and kindness towards those in need. According to James, every good gift comes from above, and believers are called to reflect God's character by giving to others. In Luke, Jesus teaches that generosity will be rewarded, saying "give, and it will be given to you", while Acts records the apostle Paul's example of working hard to support himself and others. The Bible also encourages believers to trust in God's provision, as expressed in Philippians, and to prioritize sharing with others, as Hebrews instructs, for this is pleasing to God.
