17 Bible Verses on Financial Debt

17 verses

Scripture offers guidance on managing financial obligations, warning against the dangers of indebtedness. According to Proverbs 22:7, the borrower becomes a servant to the lender, emphasizing the importance of prudent financial decisions. Additionally, Romans 13:8 advises believers to owe nothing except love, highlighting the need for responsible stewardship. The book of Proverbs also encourages trust in God's provision, as seen in Proverbs 3:5-6, and Philippians 4:19 assures believers that God will supply all their needs. By honoring God with their resources, as Proverbs 3:9 suggests, believers can cultivate a healthy relationship with money and debt.
