In the person of Jesus, God became flesh and dwelt among humanity, as John 1:14 beautifully expresses. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Christ brings about a new creation, where those in Him are made new, as 2 Corinthians 5:17 affirms. The apostles proclaimed that salvation is found in Christ alone, with Acts 4:12 declaring that there is no other name by which we can be saved. As Romans 6:3 and 1 John 5:20 further attest, our union with Christ is the source of our spiritual life and our assurance of eternal life with God.
