6 Bible Verses on Bad Language

6 verses

The use of profanity and foul language is discouraged in Scripture, as it can corrupt and defile individuals. In Ephesians, believers are exhorted to let no unwholesome talk come out of their mouths, but instead speak words that edify and give grace. Colossians and Ephesians also warn against filthy language, which is seen as incompatible with a life of holiness. Furthermore, Exodus reminds us that using the Lord's name in vain is a serious offense, while 1 Corinthians emphasizes the importance of honoring God with our words and actions, as we are His temple.
