Preaching Grace

1 sermons

Preaching grace is a central theme in the Christian faith, emphasizing God's unmerited favor towards humanity. The Apostle Paul articulates this profound truth in Ephesians 2:8-9, where he states, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." This underscores the essence of grace as a divine gift rather than a human achievement. Furthermore, Romans 5:20 reveals that "where sin increased, grace abounded all the more," highlighting the transformative power of grace in overcoming sin and offering hope to the broken. Jesus, in His teachings, exemplifies grace in action, as seen in John 8:11 when He forgives the woman caught in adultery, saying, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more." Preaching grace involves not only proclaiming this message of forgiveness and redemption but also embodying it in our interactions with others, as instructed in Colossians 4:6, which encourages believers to let their speech be always gracious. Ultimately, the call to preach grace is a call to reflect the heart of God, who desires all to come to repentance and experience the fullness of His love, as expressed in 2 Peter 3:9.
