Moral Glory

1 sermons

Moral glory is a profound concept that reflects the character and nature of God as revealed in Scripture. It emphasizes the beauty of holiness and the righteousness of God, as seen in Psalms 29:2, which calls us to "worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness." This moral excellence is epitomized in the life of Jesus Christ, who embodies the ultimate moral glory. In John 1:14, we read that "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." Through His teachings and actions, Jesus reveals the moral standards of the Kingdom of God, urging us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, as instructed in Matthew 5:44. Furthermore, believers are called to reflect this moral glory in their lives, as stated in 2 Corinthians 3:18, where Paul writes about being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. This transformation is not merely for personal benefit but serves as a testament to the world of God’s righteousness and love. Ultimately, moral glory invites us to pursue a life that mirrors the character of Christ, fulfilling the call to be "holy as He is holy" (1 Peter 1:16).
