Divine Passion

1 sermons

Divine passion is a profound expression of God's fervent love and desire for His creation, reflecting the heart of the Father as revealed throughout Scripture. In Jeremiah 31:3, we see God declaring, 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.' This enduring love is not passive but active, driving God to seek a relationship with humanity, as exemplified in the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15:4-7, where the shepherd's relentless pursuit illustrates divine passion for each individual soul. Furthermore, in Romans 5:8, Paul emphasizes this passion by stating, 'But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.' This sacrificial love culminates in the ultimate act of passion—Christ's crucifixion—demonstrating that divine love is willing to endure suffering for the sake of redemption. As believers, we are called to reflect this divine passion in our lives, loving others as Christ loves us, as instructed in John 13:34. Ultimately, divine passion invites us into a transformative relationship with God, filling our hearts with joy and purpose, as beautifully captured in the sermon 'Suddenly the Trinity Filled My Heart With Utmost Joy,' where the experience of God's love ignites a deep longing to share that love with the world.
