Biblical Reliability

1 sermons

Biblical reliability is foundational to the Christian faith, affirming that Scripture is the inspired Word of God, as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16-17. This passage emphasizes that all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. The integrity of the Bible is further supported by the historical accounts and prophetic fulfillments within its pages, as seen in Isaiah 55:11, where God declares that His word will not return to Him empty but will accomplish what He desires. Jesus Himself affirmed the reliability of Scripture, quoting it as authoritative during His temptations in the wilderness (Matthew 4:4). Moreover, the resurrection of Christ, as recorded in 1 Corinthians 15:14, serves as a cornerstone of faith, validating the truth of the Gospel message. As believers, we are called to trust in the Scriptures, knowing that they provide a solid foundation for our faith and guide us in living according to God's will, as expressed in Psalms 119:105, which states that God's word is a lamp to our feet and a light for our path. Embracing the reliability of the Bible strengthens our witness and equips us to engage effectively with a world in need of the truth.
