Angels

In the Bible, angels are spiritual beings created by God to serve as His messengers and ministers. The term "angel" comes from the Greek word "angelos" and the Hebrew word "mal'akh," both of which mean "messenger." Angels are often depicted as beings who carry out God's will, delivering messages to humans, providing guidance, and executing judgment (Hebrews 1:14; Psalm 103:20). They play significant roles in various biblical narratives, such as the announcement of Jesus' birth to the shepherds (Luke 2:10-11) and the angelic visitation to Mary (Luke 1:26-38).Angels are also portrayed as protectors and warriors in spiritual battles. In Daniel 10, the angel Gabriel is depicted as fighting against spiritual opposition to deliver God's message to Daniel. Furthermore, in Revelation 12:7-9, Michael the archangel leads the heavenly armies against the forces of evil. While angels possess great power and authority, they are ultimately subordinate to God and operate under His command, reflecting His glory rather than their own (Revelation 19:10). The presence of angels serves to remind believers of the spiritual dimension and God's ongoing involvement in the world.
