to move away, to disappear to move away from a normal location, with the implication of disappearing It would be difficult to translate ἀποχωρίζομαι in REV 6:14 as meaning literally ‘to go away,’ for this would seem strange in a reference to the sky. If, however, one employs an expression meaning to disappear, it may be necessary to say literally ‘could no longer be seen.’ For another interpretation of ἀποχωρίζομαι in REV 6:14, see 63.30.
